《Hunter's Beta (mxm)》Chapter. 17

Bodies, broken furniture and glass littered the floor as the overhead red lights of the security breach blinked ominously around them. The only evidence of the security forces that were no more. They moved quickly toward the next lift only to find the access card not working. "Here." Hunter handed his dad a new one that he plucked from a body on the floor. Pressing the button for the 7th floor the operation board beeped once again for the access card. Soon they were moving up again this time more than ready for another wave of attack by the buildings security forces. Silas had to grin amused at the holes and bloodstains on the shifter males clothes that clearly had no scars. It was in this instases that he admired their supernatural healing that seemingly knitted skin and muscle together in practically no time.
Cassius discarded the black tailored jacket of the suite he wore and proceeded to unbutton the sleeves of the crisp white shirt underneath. He frowns at his reflection in the large glass window in his office overlooking the town. He hated to ruin a good shirt but he finds solace in the knowledge that it will not be stained with his blood. He grinned at the thought of beating the alpha and his son into submission if they failed to produce the answers he sought.
As the lift moved closer to the designated floor Silas experienced a overwhelming sense of unease. Shifters had the strong sense of smell and hearing of assessing a situation whereas witches had their magical intuition and visions as for warning to an impending doom. And judging by the feeling he experienced he should be weary. He glanced at Xavier but decided to keep this revelation to himself. He didn't want their attention to stray to some gut feeling of which could not even be of consequence in the present. He fisted his hands at his side in frustration because unlike werewolf sense that we mostly precise, his visions and intuition were always vague.
Kevin begrudgingly made his way to see the witch that currently resided in Dewald body. He wondered if he should call her mister but decided against it. He swallowed down the laugh that bubbled up in his throat before opening the door in front of him. Putting on his usual smirk he entered finding Elijah alone instead. "You, are late again." The male witch pointed a finger at him his face as serious as ever. "My bad, must've lost track of time." Kevin shrugged casually. He saw how Elijah's knuckles turned white as he clenched both fist as his side. But he pinched his nose instead as he snatched a file of the desk at the window. "Probably fraternizing with the enemy yet again." He faces Kevin with no trace of anger or irritation. "She left this for you, I think you'll find the information in there quite useful. But as for your new found friendship..." He doesn't finish just gives a meaningful nod at the folder then he was out the door leaving Kevin confused. But the insignia on the file immediately caught Kevin's attention as he picked it up with hands trembling slightly. But what has him speechless is the name on the bottom of the cover.
Xavier smelled him before he heard his voice. "Cassius greeted from the shadows. Hunter mind linked his dad. Who is this guy...? He smells like wolf but different. Xavier stiffened and quickly pushed Hunter behind him. You have too trust me on this one son. Go with your uncle, get out of here! Hunter frowned than glanced over at the man that was watching them with amusement. "Oh Xavier I have no qualms with your son unless you give me the answers I need." Michael ran up to them with a confused frown. "Silas is missing." The three of them missed the satisfied grin on Cassius's face as he rolled his shoulders for the impending beat down.

Silas was following behind the guys when a shadow fell over him and he suddenly passed out and woke up somewhere els. He was sure he was still in the building but it felt strange. "Hi there, welcome to my prison world. I am Melina and we are going to have some fun original witch." A female voice greeted him. And there stood the owner of voice a female witch standing a ways away with a stoic expression but fire in her eyes. Silas took in his surroundings, he was definitely in some kind of enchanted prison designed by this witch. He was trapped at the moment but once he figures out what type of magic this is he'll break out of this magical fortress. And if need be fight her with everything he has. He has to get back something bad is happening. " You can't keep me in here forever dear." Melina smirked and raised her arms as the world around them shifted. What was once a large office space was a large maze with infinite white cubicles with tiled floors separating by groups of four. They stretched in every direction as far as the eye could see with no visible ceiling. Silas always disliked that movie now he was in one. "Melina's voice echoed through the vast space and she seemed to disappear into thin air. Silas had met his match or so it seemed.
Cassius approached them like a predator his eyes fixed on Xavier. The other two were hardly a threat but both were taking their positions beside the Alpha glaring at him to back of. Their bodies stiff ready to lunge and defend against his attack. Stopping just a feet away he clasped his hands together. "Well now that everyone is here lets begin. I am going to ask you a few questions and if I find that you are not forthcoming in the least you die." Hunter shook his head giving the guy a once over sure he was built like the Greek God Atlas but it was three against one. Two Alphas and a beta at that, this guy was beyond cocky if he thought he was going to win. Xavier warned him through the link. ...? Hunter questions back. Xavier grinned. he ! Hunter looked over at his dad in surprise, this was more than epic. He had heard stories about Cassius but thought them only myths and fairy tales for entertaining young pups. But now he could actually see and feel the power of centuries in the legendary Lycan's eyes. They relaxed slightly as Xavier nodded for Cassius to pose his questions but remained cautious.
"There are two things I want from you." Cassius let that sentence sink in before continuing. "Firstly I want the red moon stone that resides in Midnight Moon, and don't even think of denying it I've done my research." Xavier gave him a flat look. "The rock is yours what els?" Cassius seemed surprised by the quick resolve but carried on. The second thing I want is the Saratora how you get is not my concern." Xavier and Michael shared a look the Saratora was a amulet with unknown power that was kept in a hidden location by the Alliance. They only knew of its existence because of witches being so adamant that it should tracked down and returned to them. And so they were instructed with the task of finding the mystical relic. Once it was returned the Alliance hid it in a secret location. "The witches will not just hand it over. So we will need some time." The lycan grinned. "I can be a patient man so, I'll give you two days." In a flash Cassius was in front of Xavier their noses almost touching as Cassius's eyes turned completely black. He was looking at Xavier but everyone heard him. Michael and Hunter's eyes widened slightly having hearing his voice in their mind link but Xavier didn't seem surprised. He knew Lycan's had the ability to mind link with any wolf shifter at will no matter what pack or linage.

Cassius flashed his canines then growled at them so loudly their bodies vibrated along with the glass and furniture in the room.
Kevin was standing just outside of Dewald's cell, things have changed drastically. He had to be sure before making any confessions. When the captive heard him opening the door they stood up. But seeing the serious frown on his face the obvious question was asked. "Are you Ok, you look like the bearer of bad news." Kevin walked over to the opposite wall clutching the folder that was still slightly out of view. "Is it Hunter, did something happen?" Kevin quickly faced Dewald taking his hands. "No nothing like that I promise. But there is something I want you to look at and tell me if its legit OK?" Dewald nodded finally noticing the folder in Kevin's hand. He handed the folder over and watched as Dewald read through it glancing at him suspiciously. "This is definitely from Midnight Moon, but how the hell did you get this Kevin this is confidential stuff." Dewald says while pushing the folder against his chest. His next words though cut through Dewald's accusing attitude. "His my bother that I thought was dead."
Silas had tried everything he could think of but this prison world was solid. He could hear Melina's laughter through the vast space. He looked down catching his reflection in the tiles when he suddenly realized, the tiles had remained the same. This was Representation magic after all and the floor was actually the spell trigger. He smirks as he released a powerful pulse of his power. "You can't blast yourself out of here." Melina suddenly appeared in front of him. But he only met her gaze with a raised brow. "You sure about that darling?" He questions as he nods down at the floor and when he saw the panic in her eyes he knew for sure. He shot himself into the air and focused his energy in his fist creating a blue pulsing energy sphere as he shouted in a loud voice. "Aard verskeurende vuis!" The sphere grew brighter and retracted into his fist making it glow like a blue LED. He smashed his fist into the floor with a splitting force shattering it in on itself. The world shifted around them once again revealing the original room around him once again. All heard was the faint echoing screams of Melina just before her prison world exploded.
"He was transferred from Pack Law last year. They found him unconscious in the basement of the building and when he woke up he had no memory of who he was or how he got there. His body was also weak and bruised. They think he was being held prisoner." Kevin swallowed as he took in what Dewald was saying. He had always feared about what may have happened to his brother but hearing the real details really hot to him. He thought that Daniel was ignoring him like the rest of the pack and especially his dad. He should've trusted his gut and kept taps on him instead of giving a young inexperienced wolf the freedom to leave his home in search of a life outside of the pack he was part of leading alongside to begin with. "I blame myself you know, I could've talked him into staying he probability thought I disapproved of him like that." A hand squeezed his shoulder. "Don't blame yourself Kevin your brother left of his own free will. And his doing fine now. His even began to built a life for himself in Midnight Moon and he'll be very happy to see you especially because of his memory loss. Being reunited with a family member might just trigger his memories to return." He smiled at his new found friend in the most unlikely of places. "Well she found my brother like she promised." He went and opened the cell door and gave a gesture for Dewald to exit. "Wait, your letting me go?" Kevin chuckles at his confusion before pulling something from the his pocket 'a blue stone' that he placed in the doorway. The vessel that housed Dewald felt the barrier being disrupted then removed. "Come on, the disruption stone only last a moment." Dewald quickly exits leaving his vessel without foot ware but he understood that Kevin was helping him escape and this was not planned out at all so they had to move since they had the element of surprise. "They ran down a long corridor before stopping as Kevin seemed to listen and scent the air with his wolf senses. Getting the clear from his wolf they passed the twin doors running towards what Dewald hope was freedom.
Elijah found the cell with his prisoner empty and smiled. The fools had escaped just like she said. Now part one of the plan was in motion and part two would commence soon. After sending a text and getting an instant reply he vanish on the spot to reappear by her side in her present male form. The were a large group of new faces he saw. "Look at these free loaders." He mused but she only smiled down at the crowd. "Now, now Elijah be cordial with our guests, after all these are our allies now." She waved her hand the overhead lights in the room revealed even more guest. Elijah knew about the few wolfs and witches among them but the new comers were all vampires that dominated the large room with their numbers. He couldn't help but look at the his Mistress in awe. "These vampires are in need of something that's could make their cursed existence much better. And I can gladly provide them with that special gift." She spoke evenly to her subjects but all heard her with them being supernatural.
"Welcome all of you, and thank you. All of you here tonight have made the right choice in accepting my offer. As I have promised you I will provide you vampires with daylight rings. So you could also walk in daylight like those who created you." The room was a buzz with whispers of excitement. And with smug grin the young man held up his hand for them to become silent. "All I asked of you is just your loyalty in my plan to divide and concur. And as bonus a lot of bloodshed!"
