The night was cool the sky full of diamond lights scattered in clusters. A beautiful night if there were not so many dangers hidden in its shadows.

Four sleek black SUV's pulled up to a warehouse in downtown Odessa. Unlike the rest of the buildings in the area this one was modernly modified. The blue neon sign of 'The Cove' stood out against the dark shadows of steel and concrete. Twelve men emerged from the vehicles but two remained outside while the others all went in. A flashing red eye on one of the outside walls watching their every move. Sitting in his armchair the owner gave a slight chuckle. Alpha Xavier always cautious. The dark figure gave a chuckle. Taking a long drag of his cigar he puffed up a o shaped smoke releasing the rest through it. Killing it in the palm of his hand he vaguely remembered the burn that was now only a flee bite to him. Standing up he pressed a device that looked like a earpiece or special hearing aid, speaking up he spoke to one of his men. "Bring down Alexis, the alpha is here."

In the private entertainment room the atmosphere was tense. Alpha Xavier stood facing the large window showing the lights of the docks in the distance. He knew the exact moment the vampire arrived. The hairs on the back of his head tingled. Was always that sixth sense that gave away the creatures presence. The strong instinct to always be on guard around such a creature making him go stiff. A feeling shared by all the shifters in the room that turned to face the Original vampire.

Dimitri is one the oldest original vampires one of the most powerful in the world next to his siblings that tolerated each other because of their sire lines not to mention the peace treaty amongst all supernaturals. Thou his siblings frowned upon his business with wolfs their view from ancient times on them as beast of destruction still in their narrow and sometimes plain ignored minds. Still seeing vampires as the most supreme being and all others as lesser man be it witches or shifters the latter strongly disliked by the former and higher up vampires that are building communities, business and staking claims on lands and properties. Some of whom that do not sit well with long existing packs. The Nine Covens of the world has also intervened but only if the treat is close to home. So as to not really being allies to anyone but standing neutral. At least as the Alliance sees it.

"Dimitri I would be lying if I said I'm glad to see you." The alpha admitted his eyes still outside.

He did not take offence at the alphas words because of the history between them and perceived it as their usual banter of not liking each other very much. Dimitri's lip curled at the last time they saw each other. Pouring himself a drink then proceeding to come stand beside the alpha much to the dislike warning growls of the shifters surrounding their alpha. Dimitri smiled at the lack of pleasantries between them."I was surprised though." He admitted sounding amused but he could feel the tention building and was contemplating on how to brake the ice per say. Dimitri gave him a once over then asked the obvious. "What happened Mighty Beast what brings the big bad wolf to this city of mine?" Xavier faced him looking him right in the eyes to read his reaction. The sudden locked gaze had him stunned even if his face betrayed nothing but stoic calmness. Those eyes seemed to pierce into his cursed soul. But then he spoke letting whatever thoughts that were to follow disappear as urgency and worry in those amber pools let him realize the true dept of the situation.

"The withes are back." Dimitri's face stayed blank as he nodded slowly. "Think I need another drink how about you?" He asked gesturing to the mini bar that actually put a normal one to shame with its chrome finishings not to mention the various expensive drinks that was on display. Not being able to get drunk easily didn't mean they couldn't enjoy a good whiskey or port. Xavier inclined following the vampire to the bar taking a seat. The other shifters also taking their seats around the room but not too far away from their alpha. "Just so we're clear your talking about the coven your pack killed 100 years ago?" The vamp inquired looking pensive. Xavier poured his drink down in one gulp before answering. "The one and only." Dimitri gave a frustrated sign. "How is that even possible?" "There is something els." The Beta came over with pictures. "These markings were found on some of the trees on my territory." Dimitri scanned through them picking up one he pointed at a marking. "Some type of barrier spell." He muttered but they heard him. "Didn't you say there was no survivors?" Xavier gave him a sharp glare. "You were the clean up cru, I'm asking you?" Finishing his glass Dimitri shook his head.. "There were no reports of there being any we just took care of the bodies" They locked gazes in the mirror feature. "Makes no sense but I know magic and what it can do." The alpha said voicing his thoughts breaking eye contact as he glanced at the door. After a few seconds there a was knock at the door. Xavier cocked a brow at the vampire. "Expecting someone?" He asked with mild interest. "That I am. There is something you have to see too." Xavier scrunched up his face at the words but seeing his reaction Dimitri clarified quickly. "Not that I promise, its important."

He grinned at the alphas sceptical expression. Xavier caught his Beta's curious glance but shook his head at him then glared at Dimitri's back. The latter had given his back to the alpha while trying to contain his laughter. He actually remembers that. The vamp thought but then faced the door with a serious expression all tomfoolery aside for now. "For what I'm about to show you it makes perfect sense that its indeed possible for that daft bitch to be back. And lets face it when has a witch ever stayed dead for long?"

"Enter." Dimitri called after a moment a woman entered the room glad in gipsy fashion clothing. She was an exceptional beauty attracting everyone attention in the room. The vampire didn't hide his smirk at the way his muse had affected the shifters knowing what the female was doing to their carnal desires them being mated or not she was hard to not notice. Walking up to the alpha she put her hand on his chest to where his heart was. Very boldly for someone as innocent looking atleast until she opened her mouth. "Alpha Xavier, mmm your heart beats strong for someone in such danger." Xavier locked eyes with her while removing her hand. "If you have a message for me witch best get to it." Xavier grinned wolfishly down at her his canines showing. Some would have retreated at the blatant warning but that only aroused the female that clearly found the alpha's primal behavior quite alluring. The other shifters smelled her arrousal too and were looking anywhere but at their alpha.

"Now now, Alexis I don't think Alpha Xavier appreciates you invading his personal space at least not for now." Dimitri said linking her arm. Gesturing to the lounge Dimitri lead them to take a seat. Stopping the Beta with a hand sign. "Sorry only this threesome." He clipped. Xavier must've mind linked the Beta as he nodded but waited outside the door.

"Now Xavier this is my personal forecaster the beautiful Alexis. Please excuse her touch forwardness. Its part of her Sifer abilities." Xavier smirked. "And here I thought she was just a pretty palm reader." Alexis said nothing only proceeded to unrobe as the alpha raised a eyebrow at her antics. She was a renegade witch on the run from her coven and found refuse with the vampire. And after convincing them of releasing her into his custody thus saving her life. She became his forecaster. Her talents coming handy in all sorts of ways like the stock market and new business endeavors. She heard a lot about Alpha Xavier and not only admired his strength and position as the a top 'dog' but found the man insanely attractive and will admit it. If someone told her she would find herself in his presence she would think they were full of it. But now she could only marvel at the sexy man beast standing infront of her. To have been mated to him gosh her family would shun her but she didn't care they didn't. Back to mr take me now. His been without a female for years all that sexual frustration. Or has his urges been sated by the plenty of she wolfs in his pack? She dismissed that train of thought. Because she will let what he did with those bitches be wiped away with the experience she's been looking forward to all night. Her visions were sometimes confusing but always came true. She found his confidence admirable but also arrogant a trade shared by all wolfs even more so for alphas. If he was indeed in such danger she'll share her gift with him if it prolongs his mortality long enough to get to know the man behind the mighty beast.

"Play nice." Dimitri chuckled then motioned the alpha forward. "To get the most out of my vision's you'll have to breed me and seal it with a bite as I'll let you into my mind." Alexis concluded giving him the look. Dimitri tried not to let his eagerness show as he nodded at the alpha. Without taking his eyes of the original vamp Xavier spoke. "If you wanted me to bed you all you had to do was ask. He lifted the bottom of his black v neck and discarded it in one quick motion. His powerful body on full display. Years of alpha power flowing through every muscle. Dimitri always admired the godly bodies of shifters just the way they were build screamed power. And for once he was glad the alpha could not hear his thoughts. "I'll leave you for a few." He winked at Alexis before taking one last glance at the alphas powerful back as he picked her up in a smooth motion while her legs closed around his waist.

Lyla layed on the bank of the lake soaking up the sun. She was just about to turn over when a cold wet nose nudged her. She squealed at the familiar yet weird sensation. "Dewald your a dead wolf." She bellowed. The wolf released a bark like noise that sounded like a laugh. Backtracking it picked up a few discarded clothing on the grass then shot with incredible speed along the bank toward the granite diving rocks on the other side. Not having much choice the female shifter let the energy flow through her body changing it from human to lupine. Dashing after brown wolf her white fur stood on end with fury. Digging her claws onto the soft sand the distance between them getting smaller. Or so she thought as the brown wolf came to a trot flashing her wolfish grin then picked up speed again restoring the gap between them. Giving a harsh growl she too increased her efforts ten fold. The former then suddenly made a turn for the large rocks in the lake leaping skillfully from one to the other fast approaching the diving rock. Gotcha! The she wolf curled her lips back baring her teeth. Your done Mister dead end . She snarled at the brown wolf that if anything looked amused as it wagged its tail in delight. And without another glance jumped of the cliff. The slagged jawed white wolf could only look on with shock as the brown body disappeared in the water. After a moment a brown mop of hair stuck to a tanned face grinned up at her with mischievous green eyes. "Come on down scaredy wolf." Coming to her senses she leaped of the cliff straight at the male that in his laughter didn't notice the white mass approaching slamming into him submerging them both.

"You sick puppy." Lyla exclaimed. Dewald hardly felt the pounding of her fist as he laughed at her. "Sorry come on. You win your clothes are on the rocks." She stopped her pounding then pouted turning her back on him. Looking up at the diving rock she still couldn't believe how time has passed them by. It was only like yesterday when they were just kids seeing the diving rock as the ultimate challenge. "I Didn't think you would jump, what your fear of heights suddenly gone?" She smiled as she splashed Dewald who nodded. "Jip beta superpowers!" He boasted. Rolling her eyes she narrowed her eyes staring at something out in the tree line along the lake. "Hey whats that?" She pointed but as he looked she was away swimming to shore. "Fell for it, I'm winning this one." She called back.

The black wolf watched from the shore. In the shadows of the trees it only looked more sinister. Its size alone would scare anyone that didn't know of their kind. Making his way out of the trees his ebony goat glistened in the sunlight. He waited patiently for his mate. The scent of them mixed with the lake soothing him. Making patrols were mundane but he liked running with the pack and the friendly competition never gets old. His ears twitched at the familiar voice. "Looks like I win again cheater." Trotting forward his tongue hanging out Hunter made quite an amusing sight. Before Dewald could put on his short he was tackled to the ground by the big wolf that immediately began licking him. Making Dewald laugh uncontrollably as he tried pushing the exited wolf of him but he hardly moved him.

Dewald was enjoying Hunter's playful side. But when he felt something stiff against his thigh he pushed at the wolfs chest staring into its eyes. "Think that's enough boy." Hunter made what sounded like a snort. "Ok ok I mean big guy." He laughed at the wolfs actions. "Now come on let me up maybe we'll take this somewhere without an audience." He nodded at Lyla that was totally fan girl strucked by them. The wolf cocked its head then backed up of Dewald. A low growl was heard as Lyla snapped out of whatever fantasy she had. "Oh sorry guys just remembered I had this thing with my mom gotta go bye." Dewald shook his head at Hunter who only puffed out his chest. "Would you look at that we're alone." He mused. The black wolf shaking his tail with content. Dewald threw his shorts on a branch then leaned back on his elbows. "Change back." He whispered huskily. Hunter's tail stopped waggling as he looked into green pools. Dewald broke eye contact first bearing his neck as he closed his eyes. Soon the sounds of bones snapping could be heard as they reshaped and fur reseeded from lupine to that of a virile male in great physical form. Standing up Hunter stretched then held out a hand at his mate. Pulling Dewald up they were flush against each other chest to chest. "How about showing me now instead." Hunter too whispered huskily as his hot breath tickled Dewald jaw then hovered over his lips.
