《Hate Me Now, Love Me Later》Chapter 7

The world stopped.

Or so Lisa would like to believe just right after what Jennie said.

The question still lingers in Lisa's ears, trying hard to be understood.

"U-Uhm," Lisa unintentionally blinks more than usual.

Lisa thinks that Jennie only speaks again when Jennie sees how dishevelled Lisa has become. Jennie lets a chuckle escape her lips as she says in a playful yet mocking smile,

"Ha! You wish."

Jennie continues to ridicule Lisa with that smile of hers, "Ah! Lisa! You're so clueless like a monkey!"

"S-Stupid Jennie!" Lisa tries not to blush, "I knew you were just joking!"

Jennie continues to giggle as she pinches Lisa's nose before finally walking away.

Leaving Lisa to wonder why she feels somehow disappointed with what happened.

---------------

Lisa unexpectedly wakes up from her unexpected sleep, only to find herself sleeping on the sofa in the living room.

Maybe she is sick.

"I told you to bring an umbrella." Jennie tells it with a matter-of-fact tone, "But no, you insisted that 'No rain can stop this monkey. Huwaahahaha.'" Jennie imitates with a high pitch voice and in a funny manner.

"That's not what I said," Lisa argues, "And that's not how I sound."

"But you still went out and got sick." Jennie wins the argument.

"It's because you asked me to buy something for you in the middle of the night and in the pouring rain."

"I did tell you to bring an umbrella." Jennie just shrugs.

Lisa sighs, she's feeling weak already.

"Just, let me sleep for 5 more minutes and I'll be back to my usual self." She covers her eyes with her arm as she lies in the couch.

"Transfer to your bed." Jennie lightly slaps Lisa's stomach. "I won't carry you, you know that."

"No, I'm too tired."

"Too tired or too weak?" Jennie grimaces, but Lisa does not see as she is still closing her eyes.

"Go do your thing, Jennie."

"No," Jennie sits beside Lisa, "I want to bug you."

That made Lisa scoff and remove her arm, "What do you want?"

Jennie acts like she's thinking before saying with a mischievous smile, "Play with me."

Lisa looks at her like Jennie is a crazy person, "Are you nuts? You're a grown woman."

"Come on," Jennie gently shakes Lisa, "Icommand you."

"Play with yourself." Lisa turns to the other side.

"Eww! Gross! You're so dirty!" Jennie slaps Lisa's arm, which earned a laugh from the latter.

"I didn't mean it like that!" Lisa keeps on laughing, "Unless you really wanted to, then I won't stop you." She starts laughing out loud.

"You. Stupid. Pervert." Jennie slaps Lisa's arm with every word.

"Oww! I'm vulnerable!" Lisa rubs her hit arm.

"Oh, really?" Jennie mocks, "I thought you're totally fine?"

"I am, just let me rest for a while."

Jennie openly sighs, "You're no fun."

Lisa turns to Jennie, "What are you eating lately? You're acting not... Jennie-like."

"What does that mean, monkey?"

"You're less... bitchy." Lisa's lips start to form a smile.

"Oh, you want the bitchy one?" Jennie raises her eyebrows.

"No, no." Lisa closes her eyes, but her smile stays on her lips,

"I think I like this Jennie more."

------------------

Lisa wakes up feeling dizzier.

Damn, is all Lisa could think at the moment.

She tries to sit properly, and when she does, she then tries to stand.

"Don't move so carelessly."

Lisa jerks from shock, "Jennie, don't scare me like that."

Jennie only shoots her a glare making Lisa realize that it was not Jennie's purpose to.

"I told you to transfer to your room." Jennie says from the kitchen, "I really won't carry you there."

"I don't expect you to." Lisa plops her head back to a cushion at the sofa before imitating Jennie with a childish voice, "'Ooh, I'm so little, I'm so weak with my short bitchy arms.'" Lisa closes her eyes as she laughs at her own stupidity.

"If you don't stop that, I'll pour this on your head and we'll see who the real bitch is." Jennie says in a tone that Lisa opens her eyes and looks at her.

Lisa rubs her eyes twice more to make sure she's not seeing things.

In Jennie's hand is a bowl of soup and in another is a glass of juice. Lisa guesses that it must be orange, mainly from its color.

"Holy shit, you are sick." Lisa says in disbelief.

"It's not for me, idiot." Jennie lightly kicks one of Lisa's knees as she sits beside the taller girl. "Eat."

Lisa carefully eyes Jennie head to toe, and then hand to hand, before saying in suspicion, "Who are you?"

Jennie only laughs at Lisa's question, "Will you take this or not?"

Lisa rests her head on the couch again, but a mischievous smile on her lips, "Feed me."

"Ugh!" Jennie grunts in irritation, "Feed yourself!"

"Can't." Lisa continues with her playful smile, "Too weak."

"Manoban, the last time I check it's you who should be serving me, not the other way around." Jennie raises an eyebrow in annoyance.

"Okay, but don't blame me if I spill it on this lovely sofa." Lisa pouts in the most immature way possible as she tries to get the bowl of soup from Jennie.

"Goddamnit, Lisa." Jennie swats Lisa's hand off, and gets a spoonful of soup. "Now be a good girl and open your damn mouth."

Lisa smiles in triumph as she takes the soup and-

"OUCH!! It's hot!"

"Ha! That's what you get for being an ass." Now the triumphant smile has transferred to Jennie's lips.

"You bitch." Lisa fans her tongue as she tries to get the glass of juice from the table near them.

After Jennie stops disrespecting Lisa with her jeers, she says, "Alright. This one is for real this time. Open up."

Lisa stares demeaningly at her first, she's making sure that Jennie is not playing with her.

"I'm serious!" Jennie is betrayed by a giggle, "Here, to prove you that it's not hot anymore."

Lisa watches as Jennie blows the spoonful patiently and earnestly.

This side of Jennie that Lisa has never seen before makes her heart beat abnormally faster, she really must be sick.

"Here, Lisa yah~" Jennie coos mockingly making Lisa face reality again.

"Eww."

"Take it, you damned monkey. I did not waste oxygen for this."

Lisa only smiles at Jennie before she takes the spoonful of soup that Jennie especially made for her; and Jennie only returns the smile when Lisa acknowledges how good it is.

In that moment, Lisa admits that she really is sick.

Sick from all the things Jennie makes her feel.
