As Nia completed the rest of her daily hygiene routine. The conversation with her sister earlier kept plaguing her mind.

'Made him no different than who?Nia thought as she changed into her outfit that she already had laid out on her bed.

It makes me wonder if someone is taking advantage of my sister?...Nia thought as she shook her head to clear the thought from out of her head.

"Nahhhh.... She would have told me something if some shit like that ever happened to her." said Nia as she went looking for Nae to ask her to if someone ever took advantage of her; because that conversation they had is really plaguing her mind and she cant seem to get over it, but to no avail Nae is nowhere around; so she decides to go to the front door to see if Nae car still here, and she see's Nae, as her car pulled off and disappears down the street. "Damn!!!!" Nia shouted as she went back inside to grab up a pop tart, and a small sunny D out of the fridge. No biggie I will just ask her when she gets home. thought Nia as she placed her phone, charger, pop tart, and juice inside her pocketbook then walked out the door locked up the house then jumped in her Range, she puts on her seat belt, then pulled off and headed to school.

As Nia was entering the building she went to her locker and as she was grabbing her notebook from her book bag to take notes, she started getting a weird feeling in her stomach and felt a wave of panic, and fear then it switch to anger. She couldn't explain the roller coaster of emotions that ran through her body, then she felt pain as she grabbed ahold of her locker to keep from falling, and as quickly as the feelings came they went. As she lifted her head up to survey her surroundings, to see if anything was out of place, but nothing seemed to be out of the ordinary around her, so she tried to brush the confusion of emotions off, but was still alarmed as she was about to enter the classroom

Someone grabbed her arm, and spun her around swiftly, before she could curse the person out she realized it was Ty, so she began to smile but when she noticed the look that he wore on his face, her smile dropped instantly and she automatically braced herself not knowing what he was going to say. "We gotta head to the hospital Ma." Ty says with watery eyes, as if he is eyes are on the verge of bursting at any minute. "What??? Why??" Nia asked.

"I'll tell you more about it later, right now I got to get you to your sis." said Ty as he grabbed her hand and pulled her to his car; he opened up his passenger seat and helped her up into his all black 2017 Dodge Durango, with tinted windows and black on black chrome rims. Once she was seated safely inside, with her seat belt on, he ran over to the driver side and climbed in, buckled up then stuck the key in the ignition; which brought the vehicle to life as they sped to the hospital. "Give me your keys, I'll get my boy storm to get ya car, and bring it to your house while we're at the hospital." Ty said while Nia handed over her keys then said. "Fuck all that. My car is the least of my worries, tell me what happened to my sister? Why the hell is she in the hospital?" Asked a worried Nia while fighting back tears.

"All I know is Jay found her faced down laying on the ground unconscious. He said it looked like someone beat her up pretty bad." Ty said while gripping the steering wheel so hard that his knuckles had a little red on top of his normal chocolaty skin. Just repeating what Jay had told him made him angrier because Nae is practically his sister even though Nae won't accept it, but she is his brothers heart and pride and joy. She just cant seem so see it just yet.

"I can't believe this shit." Said Nia as she couldn't hold back the tears any longer as they burst from her eyes like a flood from a damn. "Who would do some shit like that to Nae." cried Nia

"That's the same thing I am thinking. Nae would never even hurt a fly." replied Ty as they pulled up to the hospital. He turned off his car, removed his seat belt, then exited his car as he hurried over to Nia side, and opened the door as he extended his hand, so he could help her down out the vehicle safely; locked all the doors then, shut the doors as he pulled Nia into his embrace, to get herself together he then wiped away her tears, as he rubbed his index finger and middle finger down her cheek then asked, "Are you ready to go check on your Pooh." "Yeah." Nia replied as she smiled at the way he called her 'your Pooh', because he right she is her Pooh. "I am ready to go find out what's going on with my Sissy Pooh." replied Nia as they held hands and entered the hospital. As soon she entered she let go of Ty hand and ran to Jay. "How is she?" asked Nia as Ty came up on Nia tail. "We haven't heard anything just yet; they took her from my arms, placed her on a stretcher, then whisked her to the back. Ion know who beat my fucking girl, but they bout to pay with they life, and that ain't no threat but a muh fucking promise." Jay said evily with black eyes. "Family of LaNyiah Crawford!!!" shouted a doctor. "We are the family of Lanyiah." said Jay

"And you are??" asked the Doctor. "I'm her man, and the guy who brought her in."

"Thanks for bringing her in when you did, but I am sorry to tell you that, I am not at liberty to discuss nothing that pertain to Ms. Crawford, because you share no blood relations with her." Replied the Doctor nastily. "Well I am her sister Tynia Crawford, and anything that you have to say to me, you can say in front of him, because she is indeed his lady." Replied Nia with a bit of an attitude, because of the blatant disrespect the Dr. tried to throw Jay's way. "Please accept my deepest apologies, I am just following the rules." replied the Doctor sincerely.

"Yeah...Whatever, Can you skip all the pleasantries and just get to the got damn point; tell me what the fuck is going on with my big sister!!!" shouted Nia. "OK...." said the Doctor as he looked through Nae's file then said, "She has some minor bruising both old and new, from what looks like; I would guess from someone attacking her." The Doctor said while looking directly at Jay sternly, thinking that he was her attacker, then looked back down at the file then back up at Nia with a sympathetic look, as she continued sharing with Nia on Nae's prognosis. "She also has a concussion which resulted in us putting her in a medical induced coma, so that we can get the swelling to go down, and so her body can heal."

"How long will she be in this medical induced Coma?" Nia asked. "Well since her body seems to be responding, well to the treatment we will slowly take her off the treatment, and if it all goes smoothly I say within two days; she will no longer be in a medical induced coma and the rest will be up to her." Said the Doctor as he excused himself and walked away, Nia broke down and cried. Ty wrapped his arms around her as she cried uncontrollably. Once she stopped crying Ty wiped her tear strained face then said, "Everything is gonna be ok, lets think positive, and pray that she is going to pull through this." Replied Ty, "Ok." She replied as he kissed her forehead. "I knew something was wrong. I been getting these weird feelings all morning, plus Nae has been acting so strange lately, but I chalked it up to it being her missing our parents, but I now know, that wasn't the case. You said she was beaten up?" Nia asked Jay

"Yeah, and I need you to think real hard... Now was there anybody in Nae past that sticks out to you, that could possibly have hurt my baby?" asked Jay with both hands on her shoulders as he looked her in her eyes, almost as if he was talking to a child.

"I can't ever recall her dating anyone, or going out with friends, other than Trey." Said Nia as she turned around and pointed to Ty then said. "Member how I said they were inseparable, and how Pooh took me to a couple of his games, because he play basketball for Y'alls college, and out of no where, she just suddenly stopped hanging with him all together." replied Nia. "Come to think of it, what if that day she said she got jumped never happened, and it was just a cover story." replied Ty. "You could be right because she moved back home after that." Nia replied.

How could i not see this shit I feel like a bad sister now. Nia thought. Even though it was far from true she couldn't believe as close as they were, that Nae could hide some thing so serious, so well.

"Nia, this far from your fault Lil mama. Nae been shut off to the world. Now to think of it. She was acting different after she came from the bathroom that day at the trap too. When I walked y'all back to the car one of my workers was staring at my girl hard" Jay said rubbing his chin hair.

Ty held Nia as she silently wept. As the doctor approached them. Everyone looked up.

"Yes, if you all would like to see her now you can. Be advised she can hear but can not respond. She has bandages on her head and leg. She's in room 511" he said still eyeing Jay and then walking off. "Mane, that nigga gone look at me one more time, and ima blast his dome. I would never hurt my fucking girl man." Jay said pissed as they all walked down the hall to Naes room

"Jay we know that, and I definitely know it. Ignore him." Nia said touching his shoulder trying to calm him down.

Ty finally caught up with them as he was lagging behind making a phone call.

"Say smooth, Just made that call. They looking for both of them. Lorenzo didn't come in this morning like he was supposed to." Ty said clearly agitated. "Word? Cool. I want them bitches alive." Jay said walking into Nae room

As he sat down, he felt like his soul was shattering. Nae had a bandage over her eye. A oxygen mask over her face. Her eyes were swollen and purple. Her face was still beautiful though. All the bruises in the world couldn't take away from how beautiful she was. He just need her to come back to him.

Nia kissed her, and then broke down crying with Ty picking her up and sitting on the couch. Jay held her hand that was wrapped also. He kissed it softly while looking into her face. "Baby, please come back to me" Jay said leaning forward and placing his head on her hip
