Like the rest of the hired help, she laboured from dawn to dusk. And when the orphanage was in dire need of repairs, in desperation she reluctantly sought the aid of the rakish Earl of Cavendish to assist. But he would only offer his help if Sybrina made some sacrifices. She was used to making sacrifices all her life why stop now?
Surely a few self sacrifices was worth the trouble to see Mother Agnes and the orphans live comfortably....
