After taking in the swop of water down my throat, I drop it into the sink, turning around to only clash with a small feminine body.

"Ops! You better be careful if you don't want to ruin your skin." Abriana's voice warns softly. I stand snugly on my feet, placing myself before I even got the chance to hit the floor.

I shake my head, nodding to her earlier warning. She walks up to me and brings her hand to cup my cheeks.

"You okay?" She asks me scanning my face like I was going to be tested on. I pucker a little from her questioning, not finding any word to greet her. I just felt a little off today after coming down from the room to eat breakfast. I don't know what's going on with me entirely but it's weary.

"Yes, I am." I nod in her soft palm. She lets go of my cheeks and walks behind me to the sink. She stays quiet after my hasty reply and I just stand there on my spot frozen.

I turn around spontaneously to face the view of the stairs. My eyes quickly caught sight of Synn's moving frame swaying down the stairs in a glide. I felt my heart thump in my chest seeing his contrasted body jog down the stairs.

His eyes fly around the room and land on mine. He sends me a small smirk, landing smoothly on his feet off the last step.

"You all done?" He accents. I nod my head, going over to stand a little distance away from him. He sways his head, his red orbs immediately land on my small frame causing me to shiver.

He walks up to me from where he stood, his cologne crowding the small space within us. "Did you eat breakfast?" He questions throwing me off the cliff.

I nod shortly following his question, feeling my palm get dank. Even from the scanty space he created, I still felt weary like there was something wrong in me.

"Come on, let's go."

I see Abriana walk up to me and stays close to me at the side. She bows her head in curtsey in respect to Synn.

We start to walk outside, the reflection of the mild sun hitting us spontaneously. I walk close to Abriana, glimpsing at my shadow occasionally. The weather wasn't hot but crisp and usually breezy but the sun was still there. We arrive in front of a black car, something I've seen a lot of times.

I got in, Abriana following after and Synn being the last. The same coconut redolence hitting us in a swift. I rest my hands on my lap, positioning my gown.

The moving of the vehicle startled me but I immediately get used to it. Synn didn't tell us where we are going but I hope it's somewhere nice. I feel Abriana's body slacken next to me, pacifying my shaking bundle of nerves.

We were in what we call a limo. The black deluxe car that only a high-standard person could afford. I look undeviatingly to face Synn and see what he was up to. His eyes were trained on one part of the car, his gaze fixed. I couldn't tell what he was thinking but he looked so calm. His hair was nicely fixed on his head, a silver lavalière accented on his neck.

Tusches of tattoos design his neck, not missing to notice the distinct one of a horn and tail. Last few months, I'd heard of him as I was still staying with Andrew. But here I was in his car with him.

One question that had always been in mind was why he chose me to be his partner. Partners were meant to love each other and agree together but Synn and I were of the complete opposite. Considering I'm too young to even be in a relationship yet, I didn't know what to expect or not. I had always dreamed of having my own husband and children in love.

But I was bounded with Synn.

"Don't think much into things." I hear his taunting voice speak. I slowly look up at him and peek at him. His ringed fingers were placed on his lap persistently.

"You'll get a headache." He finishes. I swallow the thick lump in my throat, running dry. His words never were easy to understand unless you processed them well in your head. He sat calmly on his seat, looking out the window after saying such short words.

It was like he knew what you were thinking without your knowing. It scared me even from the beginning when I first heard of the bond. The bond just like the name implies was sharing. Synn and I were bonded together. It was unfair he could read my thoughts and I couldn't because I'd like to know what was going on inside his head.

Supposing we were already at the place Synn planned of our being, the limo immediately come to a halt.

Just outside under the warm scorching sun was a large restaurant held outside. It was just in the middle near a small tattoo parlour. In front of the restaurant was a big pennant that displaced a lot of recipes they served inside. The restaurant looked like a vigorous and cheerful place to be in with people dancing inside of it. But I wasn't sure if this was where Synn had in mind of going.

"What are you waiting for? Get out!" He snarled a little too aggressively that it made me jump lightly on my seat. I raise my hand to open the door to go out but the driver immediately beat me to it. I glance at him with a small nod, placing one of my legs outside before the other.

Abriana follows suit and then Synn just like how we got in. I see Synn whisper something into the driver's ear who I immediately recognize from the other day I went out with Synn and Silver. He seemed to be in his early 40's.

I wait for somewhat like an instruction to go inside but didn't get one and just follow Synn who didn't wait a single minute after talking to the driver and starts to go into the restaurant.

Abriana all this time was quiet but who could blame her. Even though she didn't know Synn too well, she still pays her respect to him submissively giving herself to him.

I walk timidly into the intimidating restaurant. I just couldn't help but feel like I didn't belong here. This was a very rich place for high people like Synn. But again, Synn didn't look like the kind to be out here.

The petite golden bell ring from just above the shaded door signalling we just entered. I keep my hands by my side not wanting any attention drawn to us. But I was so wrong because immediately we took a step inside, we were the centre of attention. I could say it was mainly Synn who was. I noticed the change of his eyes that he happened to have changed before we came inside the eatery.

He didn't want anyone knowing what was behind those grey orbs. He walks straight to where a counter comes in view. Reaching there, he places one of his fingers on the counter. Behind it was a middle-aged woman dressed in a cerulean apron that masked her whole garment.

Her eyes glint a little too surprised when she sees Synn who was impatiently waiting. Her red-lipsticked lips raise up to a full smirk, happy at who she saw. She openly scans him over before stopping at his neck where she notices the tail and horn tattoo.

I was discreetly watching all this happen and I didn't feel any better seeing this.

"Welcome-"

"I would like to order a plate of spaghetti and one coke." He beats her.

The once overlooking happy woman squirms on her spot behind the counter. She looks shocked by his sudden disdain and outburst. She didn't expect anything like that at all. It was all shown on her facial expression that looked a little annoyed.

Without waiting for an agreement, he dashes out to a small but cozy corner where we locate a seat and settle in.

"You didn't have to be rude," I mutter to myself specifically not hoping he heard. I sit on the warm seat, the place's aroma was cozy.

I hear a deep scoff and then a raspy voice.

"She was eye fucking the hell out of me." He complains with a cuss. I look up at him from watching my fingers drum on my lap.

"It wasn't her fault." I try saying back. I know it wasn't worth anything arguing but it was better making a valid point.

"Me neither. It's not my fault people stare at me like I'm some fucking Greek king." He points back making me lose the fight. He was equally right. We, humans, love attractive things and Synn was one.

Soon after two difficult minutes, a dark browned skin male walks up to our table with a tray of hot risqué spaghetti and one iced coke. He flashes me a small smile, dropping the entire order on the table. He mutters a small 'enjoy your meal' before strolling away.

I look away from his retreating figure and peer closely at Synn who was sending daggers to his already gone statue. His tattooed hand were fist tightly, my eyes narrowing.

"Mother fucking son of a bitch!" He didn't care to tone his voice down, exposing his jealousy.

One thing I knew by now was that Synn never ate human food. He was sticking to raw food which was still a little bit surprising.

He takes his eyes off the waiter's form and brings them to look at the spicy spaghetti that was steaming. I couldn't read the expression on his face, never once did.

"It's yours." He says taking his eyes off the food and staring right at Abriana. The rise in my chest drops sending me in complete shock.

He ordered food for Abriana.

I glance at her as she also seems to be in shock and confusion. I didn't want to think of what she would do but the smartest thing was to accept it.

I was sure I was right. He ordered my favourite food with an iced drink and was giving it to Abriana. It was like showing some act of random kindness. I didn't know how to feel since this was the first time seeing Synn do something this genuine.

"I'm so sorry Linda." He apologizes but I could smell the fakeness in his voice. "I don't really have enough time to give you too a treat." He reassures.

I swallow my nerves, a fire burning inside of me. I didn't mean to be angry and I wasn't. I just didn't expect this side of Synn; this trying to get me jealous side. I knew for a fact he was lying and he didn't cover that false face well.

Abriana falteringly takes the cold stainless steel fork and draws the plate of food close to her in front. She also looked confused but masked it up very quickly.

Synn knew my favourite food was spaghetti and so he ordered it for Abriana in particular. I didn't want to come out as assuming but my assumptions were the only legitimate ones I could think of now.

"Do you like it?" He asks Abriana who nods with her mouth full of food in her cheeks. I clench my fist in anger not even realizing it.

"You see? She likes it. I knew for a fact this restaurant would serve good meals." He lies placidly. The diabolical grin on his face was so bitter to stare at. He knew what he was doing.

"She does," I say back in a chirpy voice, drumming my fingers on my lap as I watch his grin gradually turn into a smirk.

I guess you guys know why he needs a personal assistant now...
