《The Devil's Bride》Wicked heart

The inopportune stillness only seemed to make Linda uncomfortable. She had shifted to the other side of the couch to try to get away from Synn's warming propinquity.
Confirming this, he stands up and walks upstairs, his eyes trained on his phone. He had received a message from one of his men.
"Sir," Ducas animated, his hands shaking with each word he spoke. Synn had given him a tremendous amount of money to keep. He got home that same night and kept the money in his wardrobe where he usually kept his estimable things. Ducas was a working husband with 3 sons and a wife. He was a scum bag who engaged in dirty works to earn money for his family and himself.
Synn answered plainly as he changes into his PJ and lays his phone on the marble counter."What?"
"I'm so sorry boss. Please spare my life." Ducas solicited, undesired sentiments flowing right through him. He knew well enough that Synn was a terrible man. He had seen it on his face. When Synn gave him the money, he went with a warning not lost any of it before the next month. Barely two days, he couldn't find the money in his wardrobe.
"Ducas," Synn drove his fingers into his skin, his eyes dancing with atrocity. "Tell me the real reason why you called." He knew that something wrong must have happened. He gave Ducas the huge sum of money with the purpose of knowing something. If he could trust him well enough to work for him when he established his company. Although, he didn't like the word trust. He couldn't give it or earn it either.
"The money-" Ducas kicked off looking back at his empty wardrobe. "It's gone."
"I don't understand you quite well, Ducas. Explain briefly to me what you mean." He babbled.
"I didn't-"
"You don't tell me that shit talk. I gave you a whole lot of cash that even your hard work can't earn that big amount for 19 years." He explained.
A faint chuckle leaves his lips, a thought getting into his head. "Or." He phrased. "Did you steal from me, Ducas?"
Wide eyes opened, Ducas shook his head. "No! I didn't. I couldn't and wouldn't." He cried. "I don't know how it disappeared. I can't find it-"
"Don't tell me that fucked up lies! I need my money immediately tomorrow." Synn growled as he declined the call. A small smile developed on lips, content.
"Poor thing." He chuckles going out of the bathroom and into his room. He settles on his laptop and began checking some records. As he does so, he looks down at papers that were scattered on the floor. It was his business papers that he had printed.
Scrunched brows, he picks them up and lays them next to him. Who had come and messed up with his papers?

Anger began fueling inside of him as she thought about it. Linda. Had she come here? One thing he hated was someone prowling into his business.
Just then, Linda walks into the room with a candy in her mouth. She didn't even recognize his figure and just gallivanted to the bed with a book in her hands. A pop-up book.
Seething with great anger, he stands up and walks up to her. She looks at him with an innocent look cemented on her face.
"W-what is w-rong?" She questions. She could feel the heat that emitted from him to her. But rather than that, he looked angry. His jaw ticked, his eyes shining with fury. What did she do with his papers?
"So you've been sneaking around huh?" His voice only seeped with rage and anger. She removes the lollipop from her mouth and stands up, trying not to fall.
"What d-do you mean?" Her voice was small and variable. Not the way she spoke to Silver. The dynamic way. Now it wasn't just the scattering of his papers that consumed him. It was his jealousy. He felt jealous seeing what was his with someone else, smiling.
"You fucking know what I mean!" He growled grabbing her by arm. Not again, please. She thought in her head. A prick of pain flows through her vein as she looks down at his hands on her arm.
"I-i don't." She shutters. He was forcing her to talk to him. She didn't want to.
"Can you explain the scattering of my business papers?" He shoves the paper right at her face. A shocked cast falls immediately when she recognized the paper he was talking about.
"I-i only l-looked through them. I-i didn't mess them." She answers fighting the urge to cry. Her lips tremble, the taste of her lollipop still lagged.
Synn furrows his eyebrow when he saw a book on the bed. He releases her arm and grabs the book to look at the cover. With a scoff, he looks back at her.
"Why are you reading this?" He questions spontaneously changing the topic. She looks at the books in his hands. She hadn't started to read the book just yet but she liked the arts in them.
"I like it." She said putting the lollipop right into her mouth. Synn for a minute, glance at the lollipop in her mouth, his thoughts scrambling wild.
"What is the name of the book?" He asked. "The little rat and the lion." She said happily.
For once, he liked that she was showing some sort of sign of calmness in front of him.
He licks his bottom lips and digs his fingers into his palm. Fuck!
He couldn't get the image out of his head no matter how hard he had tried. The image of forging her mind and body while worshiping her. He just wanted to hear her quiet moans and pleads. He was lusting over Linda.

She looks up to meet with Synn's red ones and a blush covers her face when she saw what he did with his lips.
"Can i-i read now?" She asks, snacking on her lips as she licks the taste of the lollipop off her lips.
"Mhmm." He hums and goes back to work, this mood instantly changes from being turned on. Linda had just obliquely turned him on without knowing and he founded it hot.
As he scans through the paper, he catches Linda who was giggling to herself, a yawn leaving her lips. He could tell she was tired but she didn't give up there.
He hears her mutter. "Silver didn't bring me more chips." She pouted and drops the book she had finished reading on the bed stand.
She looks up and glances at Synn. She flushed red, catching his stare on her already. Stop looking at me, you creepy boy.
"U-um, do you mind if I watch a movie on your laptop?" She twirls her fingers, anxiously.
"No." He blurts out, ignoring her pouty lips. She walks up to him, a few inches away and crosses her arm. She was deciding if she wanted to ask. Look at the person who is trying so hard to ignore Mr.Duck, she thinks.
"I saw a l-lady today." She bellowed. "Who was she?"
Synn immediately stops and looks up at her, his lips lifting up in a smirk.
I see.
"A bitch." He remarked, his eyes accidentally landing on Linda's full and perky breast. He could see her soft and thick skin right in front of him. He was hungry.
"What's a bitch?" She asked.
He pauses and rubs a skin that was under his neck. "It's a bad word. Don't use it." That was all he said, gaily shifting her question away. He was only focused on his meal.
"D-do you know her?" Linda shyly questions, looking anywhere but his face. Synn's smirk widened when he observed and took note of her obvious question.
"Yes. I do. But I must say, she's really pretty." He theorized.
Linda felt her tummy backflip at this comment and shyly looks away to hide her facial expression. Oh. She nods to herself and asks.
"I-is she?"
"Yes, she is. She came over to ask about my well-being, and I felt bad when I had to leave early because damn! Those curves were taunting me."
Discursively, he was talking about Linda but she didn't know it. She didn't have to know. He looks her over, before landing on her well wide hips. Fuck me!
He stands up and approaches her, closing his laptop in the process. She tenses up and looks his way. "Why did you ask?" He said, his chin held up.
Her breath became giddy as she replies. "No reason." A blush she had on still on her milky skin. Lies.
He could lie better.
"Why do you lie to me, princess?" He breaths out, coming closer as he immediately grabs Linda's chin and lifts it up to look at him.
Beautiful.
He lowers his face up to her neck, Linda's breath limps at this movement. W-what was he doing?
He gently rubs the skin on her neck, her soft skin like that of a baby's own. His pulse was quick as he closes his eyes, restraining his sexual frustration.
She wasn't ready yet.
Linda had her lips closed shut, waiting for any response. "I'm not ly-ying." She lied.
He smirks at her reply, his eyes only turning a deeper shade of blood. She was feisty and hot at the same time.
"Is that so?" He continues to rub her skin, nearing her close until his body was pushed against her thoroughly.
She nods, her voice held back while she enjoys his fingers kneading her skin between his fingers. She needed to stop him but she couldn't.
He wraps his hands around her waist and crushes her body with his, engulfing her whole. He groaned internally feeling everything pressed upon him. Where did this angel come from?
Her breast was on his chest, feeling himself getting hard and his sexual tension only building. Her slim waist was all full in his hands.
She had her small hands on his chest, her small frame warming up. They fitted so well.
Linda had her cheeks all in a blushing mess as she tries to hide it but she couldn't, again.
"Guys I think I'm growing boobs-" Silver was cut short when he barges into the moment.
"Um-so...mind if I join?" He asks and abruptly, Linda pulled away. Her face and neck were hot and red. We were caught.
"Fuck you!" Synn curses and Silver just laugh. "I already got fucked up in my brain!"
Linda quickly corrected her posture, trying to ease her burning face. She looks at Silver, the corner of her face liting up. "W-what do you want, silver?"
"Nothing. I just came to ask if I'm growing boobs because my chest is becoming broader and my nipples-"
She flushed crimson red again, her thoughts riding themselves.
"Awnn. You're blushing so much. Come here, lemme help you with that." Silver smirks, his mind running dirty.
Synn looks down at Linda form to see her cowering. Damn! I really caused that mess, didn't I?
"I'll just go brush m-my teeth and get r-ready for bed." She quickly stubble away into the bathroom and smiles.
What were his intentions?
Please do!
So umm

A Fractal Divide
Lesivar is a city in ascendancy. With recent innovations in magical crafting, the common people are experiencing a boom in comfort and wealth. The nobility, long used to being the stewards of knowledge and power, struggle to adapt to the new world in which they find themselves. A precarious balance has been maintained throughout, but forces stir beneath the surface threatening to send the city spiraling into chaos. This is my first attempt at writing anything longer than a short story, and I welcome any feedback or corrections. I'm posting this as I write, with each chapter going live upon completion. My current pace is about a chapter a day, which I expect to take my through the end of November. From there, I'm shooting for a chapter every two-three days until the book is completed, along with an editing pass of what is already up. I'm planning on three POV characters with unique insight into the story as it unfolds. Each chapter will contain only one POV. [participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge]

Directorate: Nationbuilding in Apocalypse
A nation is just a means of survival. Metro Manila fell within 5 months of the first report of cannibalism. Once a hyperurbanized region of 15 million inhabitants, it's been reduced to a dead, greenless shell. Most of the infected had since left to ravage the countryside. The central government was nowhere to be found. Among the survivors who clung to the few gardens and humble plots of arable land left, one of them finds evidence that the slaughter wasn't going to just end with the first wave. Without a nation and a wall of guns, everyone will die. Directorate is an original nationbuilding webnovel that focuses on the gradual rise to power of a select few individuals, and the subsequent unification of the survivors of a devastated Metro Manila. Releases targeted at every 1 to 3 weeks. If there are no chapter updates after 3 weeks, there will be a progress update. Number of releases targeted at a maximum of 100 chapters.
