Wearily, Linda sat facing Synn as she began to talk, her voice proving how confused she was. "I-I don't understand." She confirmed.

Synn just continued to stare at her until he spoke. "Do you have any siblings apart from Elijah?" He questioned, his tongue running flatly across his lips.

Terrorshook her greatly when he talked about her brother bringing in terrible recollections. Elijah and she were never on good terms. He was just like her father, wicked and careless.

"No." She breathed out.

She didn't like talking about bad reminiscences and thoughts. She was never a fan of going back into the past.

"Linda," He sighed. "I want to know what happened. Can you please try to remember what happened on that specific date?" He pleaded, his voice - almost- sounding desperate.

Linda tried to craze her brain that she feared she was going to lose her brain cells. She couldn't think back to such a long time.

"I'm so-orry. I don't remember." She apologized, her voice soft like the sound of light bells.

He studied her for a moment before rising to his feet and exiting, leaving her rudely behind.

Somehow, she felt sad that they couldn't make a conversation much and always embarrassed herself. She couldn't match up to his measures that which made her think about why he chose her as his bride when she didn't have any qualities a man or male liked.

She was just a mere poor being who was trying to undergo life in her teen.

She slowly stood up, her nerves trembling. She traced back to where he had led her and walked up to her room. She needed a nap as she was very weak and confused.

It had not been easy with Linda since the night she was asked about her past. It had been also a tough topic to as why she kept having strange dreams and hallucinations anytime she closed her eyes at night. She continued to see figures of the same when she was still living with Andrew, which bothered her exceedingly.

On a particular day, Linda was up in her room when she had just finished taking a cold bath and drying her hair. She wrapped a towel around her chest and walked out of her bathroom into her room. As she combed her hair, slightly at the corner of the room, she saw a great dash of inhuman speed. She thoughts her eyes were playing tricks on her until she heard the sound of the glass vase break, breaking into pieces and shatters.

Rapidly, the woman who always assists Linda caught the sound of the noise and rushed into her room to find her shaking and morphing. Shuttering, she tried to apologize to the woman but she just shook her head and helped cleaned the mess.

Since that day, she never saw the speed of flash again. It was a tricky way to sight. Although, she didn't know if the woman told Synn she hoped not.

In the morning, Linda was woken up by the sound of the small bell next to her. She hated bells and this small bell was starting to get annoying whenever she woke up. She was sure Synn had put it there to annoy her. She rubbed her eyes groggily and climbed out of her bed, wearing her sandals and into her bathroom.

She looked at herself in the mirror, her eyes shimmering. It had been long since she saw her eyes glitter that way. She yawned, giggling to herself when she took in a breath of her own mouth breath. She had forgotten to brush her teeth last night when she ate dinner. Toping on some toothpaste, she directed the brush to her teeth and started to brush her teeth.

As she did so, her mind began racing in different directions. She thought back to her mother. She missed her mother so much. She could only imagine her mother was doing and how she was treated. She felt bad for her mom since she didn't even know of her own wellbeing.

Deciding she wasn't going to think back to her sad past, she rinsed her mouth and applied a vanilla and turmeric lotion to her face. She was starting to like the smell of the facial products Synn had gotten her and she was grateful.

It had done a lot for her to her skin. She also noticed she hadn't had any breakouts too. She smiled as she dabbed a soft towel to her face and got into the shower to take a bath.

After she was done with bathing, she quickly hurried up and wore her clothes which consisted of sweatpants and an oversized t-shirt that says, "Bad boss"

She smiled, adjusting her ponytail on her head. She liked the way she looked in the morning. She climbed down hurriedly downstairs to eat breakfast.

Grilled ham and bacon were laid on her plate. She didn't need to be told twice the meal belonged to her.

She sat on her chair and grabbed her fork as she began digging right into it. As she did, she wondered who always made such a meal for her. It tasted delicious. She had thought it was a human since it was an earthly food.

She continued to eat her food hungrily like a woman who had been nearly starved to death but saw hope. Her lips were oiled, she quite being a messy eater.

"Take it slow, you may choke." A voice puffed, shaking the great strong walls of the mansion. Her eyes widened in fear, her soul shivering with second-hand embarrassment.

She quickly wiped her, might say, very oiled lips with the back of her hand. She didn't want to look at the top of the stairs already knowing the voice too well. She looked around confusedly, her thoughts battling.

His dark voice echoed once more. "You might be a messy eater but I must say, your appetite must be that big." He smirked as he watched her reaction. She was blushing terribly, she wanted nothing but to run away from such a scene.

She stood up and pushed her food farther away. She didn't feel like eating more after the situation. It pained her as she looked at the plate of unfinished food. She really wanted to finish it but not after what happened.

"Go on. You look like you want the glittering oils on your lips once more. Finish the food." He urged further.

This was meant to annoy her but she founded it a little erotic. She shook her head and turned towards him, staring down at her feet. "I'm w-well-fed." She stammered.

He walked to the top end of the stair slowly, wanting to keep her stay.

"Is that so?" He asked, bending his face towards her. Her lips twitched in confusion but she nodded her head anyways.

He looked up above her head and gave a curtly nod to the chef who bowed to show respect and went to get his order.

"Join me as I eat breakfast, Linda. That room is getting addicting I might add." His lips bent to a smile when he caught sight of a small smile that pulled up to her lips.

He was starting to get addicted to her.

"Sit," He commanded, pushing a seat backwards but rather this time, she was going to be sitting in front of him so he could see her face. She sat down gracefully, her back leaning backwards.

He went around her, his black thick coat following him. He took a seat in front of her.

Like a reflection of sunray, his eyes colour changed abruptly when he caught sight of Linda licking her lips slowly. She didn't mean it though, she was trying to get the oils from her lips.

But sensually, this little act aroused him. He quickly cleared his throat to get her attention and maybe stop turning him on.

"How's your morning going?" He questioned.

The smell of freshly baked cookies tormented her two little nostrils. It was like he was punishing her in this way. The chef raised a tray of cookies and placed it on the middle of the table. She bit her lips at the sight as Synn watched every little act of hers.

Shockingly, she asked. "You e-eat cookies?" Her voice was melodious and soft it made his ear tingled.

"Yes, I do. Probably the only human food I eat." He replied. He stretched forth his long hands towards the tray to grab a vevert cookie. "This reminds me of blood. It's my favourite." He said, munching on the cookie quietly. His way of talking was twisty in a way.

Politely, she waited for instruction. She was really waiting for a confirmation to grab one and since she had lied she was fed, she regretted it.

He took another bite from another cookie, a vanilla one this time. His eyes were burying into her gradually. He continued to eat the cookies slowly and patiently. She had almost burst out from boredom and crave.

His cold voice broke her out. "Breakfast was delicious." He said. "Geletino cooks good human food." He revealed.

She looked at the chef at the right corner of the room. Geletino looked like a man who had spent years in the mansion and was dreading to go or escape but couldn't. He looked irritated even.

"Well," She turned her head towards Synn."There is a place I'd like for you to see."
