No one's POV

A boy is seen sitting in his room watching the stream for Sword Art Online on his computer.

???: Y/n come downstairs.

Y/n: Coming!

He stands up turns off his computer and runs downstairs

Y/n POV

I walked downstairs to see what my parents want. When I got there, both of them are by the door.

Y/n: What's up

Richard: We're going to the store you need anything?

Y/n: Nope I'm good.

Richard: Ok we're gonna go, see you at dinner.

Mary: And remember.

Y/n and Mary: Stay out of the basement.

Y/n: Yeah I know.

As they walked out I begin thinking to myself

Y/n:(Thoughts) What's down there, has to be a reason why they wouldn't want me down there.

I walked towards the basement door attempting to open it but no suprise it won't budge

Y/n: Figures.

I looked on the right and saw a device on a wall

Y/n: Looks like a palm print. Won't get in without one of my parents hand.

I was about to give up until I thought of an idea

Y/n: Actually all I need is their handprint I need.

I begun walking upstairs

Y/n: If I can lift the prints of the things they touched I can get past the lock. Good thing I been working on something that'll help me.

I walked to my room grabbing my glasses and gloves

Y/n: I made these glasses to scan things. If I do a little tweaking It should collect data for the handprints.

I walked towards my parents room scanning the door knob

Y/n: Got one.

I walked inside the bedroom looking around

Y/n: Now if I was a handprint where would I be.

I walked towards the bathroom in their bedroom looking around I saw a hair brush

Y/n: Look at that I just found number 2.

I looked over and saw lip stick I scanned completely the handprint

Y/n: Should have enough partials to reconstruct a handprint. Man I'm such a genius.

I walked back downstairs heading towards the basement, I went over towards the scanner

Y/n: I should be able to reconfigure the scanner so it takes my data.

A few seconds I was able to make it take my data

Y/n: Bingo. Transmitting handprint now.

The door then opened

Y/n: Now what's down here that you guys didn't want me to see.

I started walking downstairs in the dark

Y/n: This isn't creepy at all.

I got to the bottom of the stairs then all of a sudden the lights turn on automatically

Y/n: What is this an evil lair. Are my parents evil?

I thought about it for a few seconds

Y/n: Nah

I started looking around and noticed this place is a lab

Y/n: Evil scientists maybe.

My phone went off. I looked and saw I had received 3 messages. One from Kirito, met him in SAO beta test and one from Miles Morales my best friend who I met in school, the other Gwen Stacy, me and her are childhood friends.

Kirito:(Text) Almost time you ready?

Y/n:(Text) I was born ready!

Kirito:(Text) See you in SAO

I then started reading Miles message next

Miles:(Text) Me and Gwen are thinking movie night, you game?

Y/n:(Text) I don't know probably will be too busy playing SAO

Miles:(Text) The movie will be in 6 hours if you change your mind let me know.

Next is Gwen

Gwen:(Text) Me and Miles are heading to the movies wish you can come. But knowing you your probably gonna be playing SAO, tell me all about when you get out.

I was about to leave but I saw a board full of pictures

Y/n: What's that?

I got closer and soon realize its pictures of Spider-man and Ghost Spider

Y/n: What the hell?

I backed up confused and nervous, and accidentally bumped into a glass container, it fell and broke

Y/n: Nonono crap

I ran towards it and kneeled down inspecting the damage

Y/n: Ok we're good seems to be nothing inside. I gotta get out of here.

I quickly got up and started running upstairs closing the basement door and headed straight to my room

Y/n: What was that? Why were there pictures of Spider-man and Ghost Spider.

I looked ar my clock in my room and realize SAO was about to launch in a minute

Y/n: I'll worry about it later.

I walked over and was about to pick up my NerveGear until a Spider appeared on my hand out of thin air

Y/n: What the?

It bit me, I quickly smacked it killing the spider

Y/n: Ow that actually hurt!

I looked at my left hand and saw the spider disappearing and reappearing

Y/n: Can it camouflage?

I wanted to inspect it more but shock my head. I put the Spider on my desk

Y/n: Probably weird putting a dead Spider on my desk. But I got a date with SAO you can wait.

I grabbed the NerveGear on my head and laid down on my bed

Y/n: Link start!

I logged into my account from the beta test and was met with a welcome screen saying welcome to Sword Art Online. I opened my eyes and saw my hands I looked up with a smile on my face

U/n: I'm back!

(Timeskip)

I was running around town trying to find Kirito. I ran into an alleyway and saw him running as well

U/n: Hey Kirito.

He stopped and turned around

Kirito: Hey about time you got here.

U/n: Sorry got held up anyway let's go.

We were about to run until a voice behind us was calling for us

???: Hey wait up!

We turned around and saw someone running towards us. He stopped when he got close

Kirito: What's up

He was breathing trying to catch his breath when he finally got he spoke

???: You two act like you know your way around here. You two were in the beta test, weren't you?

Kirito and U/n: Uh, Yeah.

???: Cool. Today's my first day. So, could you two give me some tips on the lower floor.

Kirito: Yeah, I don't know if-

???: Oh, please?! I'm begging you! Look, my name's Klein. Good to meet you.

Kirito looked at me, I shrugged my shoulders

Kirito: All right. I'm kirito.

U/n: Names U/n.

(Timeskip)

Klein: AAAAAAH!

Klein was knocked on his butt by a boar he was on the ground groaning

Klein: Kill me now!

U/n: You do realize we can't feel any pain here right?

He stopped

Klein: Uh? Oh yeah. You're right. Sorry. Habit.

Kirito: Remember what I said? The first move is the most important.

Klein: Yeah, that's easy for you to say. But he won't stand still.

I picked up a pebble

U/n: If you do your initial motion right and active a sword skill at the right time...

I threw the pebble at the boar hitting it at its butt. It turned around looking at me

U/n: ... The system pretty much guarantees you'll always hit your target.

Klein: Inital motion?

The boar charges at me

U/n: Here's an easier way to look at it.

I dodged the boar and it turned around charging at me again. I blocked it holding it still

U/n: Right after you start your move, wait for a little bit. When you feel the skill start to activate, drive it home.

Klein: Drive it home?

Klein started to get in a stance he actives a sword skill. I looked at with a small smile on my face, I kicked the boar away from me and it charges at Klein. Him and the boar charge it each other. Klein hits the boar with his sword skill killing it

Klein: YE-E-E-E-AH

U/n: Congrats.

I gave him a high five

Kirito: That was nice. But that boar's about as weak as slimes in other games are.

Klein looked at Kirito in suprise

Klein: Holy crap! You got to be kidding I thought that thing was a mid-level boss.

We looked over at the fields and saw more boars spawn in

Kirito: Yeah as if

Klein uses his sword skill again

Klein: Whoa!

U/n: Addictive, isn't it?

Klein: I'll say.

Klein does some practice swings

Klein: So, these skills-- there's a ton of them, like blacksmithing and stuff, right?

Kirito: Uh-huh. I heard the game has an unlimited number of them, all except for magic, though.

Klein: An RPG without magic? That's a bold decision, man.

He uses his sword skill once more

Klein: Oh, yeah

Kirito: So, what do you think? It's kind of fun to move your body as you fight, isn't it

Klein: Ha ha! Oh, hells, yeah!

I start chuckling

Kirito: You ready to move on?

Klein: Yeah, man! Let's keep going.

(Timeskip)

All three of us are resting watching the sunset

Klein: When I look around, I can't believe it. We're inside a game, bro! Whoever made it is a genius. This thing's amazing. Makes me glad I was born when I was, you know?

Kirito: It's not that big a deal

Klein: Cut me some slack. It's my first full dive.

Kirito: You never used a NerveGear before today, huh? This is your first time ever?

Klein: Uh-huh. As soon as I got the money together, I rushed out and bought all the hardware to play SAO. Stood in line and scored one of the 10,000 hard copies. Guess you could say I was pretty lucky, although you two were ten times as lucky to Beta-test it.

U/n: and Kirito: Hmm?

Klein: Dude, only a thousand people got the chance.

U/n: Yeah I guess we were lucky.

Klein: Hey mind if I ask how far you guys got in the beta?

Kirito: Eh, two months and we couldn't get futher than floor 8.

I put my arm on kirito shoulder

U/n: But now I think we can get there within a month, easy.

Klein: Sounds to me like you guys are really into this.

Kirito pulled out his sword raising it towards the air

Kirito: Yeah, guess you could say that. During the beat test, SAO was the only thing on my mind, day and night. In this world, a single blade can take you anywhere you want to go. And even though it's a virtual world, I feel more alive in here than I ever did in the real one.

I patted his back grinning

U/n: Your sounding like an anime protagonist. Anyway, you guys wanna do some more hunting?

Klein: Oh, you know it. But the thing is...

His stomach started growling

Klein:... I'm really hungry. I have to log out.

U/n: Too bad the food you eat here only satisfies your hunger virtually.

Klein: Yeah, for reals. That's why I ordered a pizza for 5:30.

U/n: Ha, someone came prepared.

Klein: You know it. Besides the game can wait until I get my pizza on.

Kirito: I guess.

Klein: Hey, I was gonna go meet up with some people I know from another game. I don't know what you two are up to after this, so, you know, if you want, you can friend them and hang with us

Kirito looked down

U/n: Idk Klein.

Klein: No. It's cool if you guys don't want to. No pressure. I can always introduce you to them another time or something.

Kirito: Yeah sorry. Thanks anyway.

Klein: No way. I should be doing all the thanking. Hey, one of these days, I promise I'll pay you guys back for all your help--

U/n: You can pay me back with your pizza.

Klein:-- Virtually.

I looked down in sadness

Klein: Thanks for everything you guys, really.

He held out his hand

Klein: Guess I'll see you around, then.

I took his hand started shaking it

U/n: If there's anything else you want to know, message us.

Klein: Sweet! I'll do that.

Klein turned around and went to the menu to log out

Klein: Huh? Where'd the logout button go?

Kirito: It should be there.

Klein: Hmm. No, it's not there.

U/n: Are you sure? Hang on let me check.

I checked my menu and to my suprise it wasn't there

U/n: He's right it's not there.

Kirito: It should be on the bottom of the menu.

Kirito also checked and he gasped

Klein: See? Not there.

Kirito: You're right. It's not.

Klein: Oh, well. Today's, what, the first day out of beta? There's bound to be some bugs. I bet the server people are freaking out right now.

U/n: They're aren't the only one who are gonna freak out look at the time.

Klein: Huh?

Kirito: Look. Its 5:25.

Klein started freaking out

Klein: AAH! OH, MY GOD! MY TERIYAKI MAYO PIZZA AND GINGER ALE!

U/n: That's an interesting pizza.

Kirito: Why don't you just contact the game master?

Klein: Huh? Yeah, I did that, but nothing's happening. He's not picking up. Do you know if there's another way to log out of this thing?

U/n: Hmm. No. Whenever a player wants to log out of SAO the only way they can do it is by going through the menu.

My head started tingling like its trying to warn me about something

U/n:(Thoughts) I have a bad feeling about this.

Klein: That can't be right. There's got to be some other way out. Return! Log out! Escape!

U/n: Told you. And there was no emergency logout in the manual, either.

Klein: No way. You're kidding. I know--

He started grabbing his pulling up

Klein: I'll just rip the NerveGear off my head.

Kirito: Don't bother. Once you're hooked in, you can't move your body in the real world anymore. The NerveGear intercepts all the commands you give from inside the game using an interface built into the rig.

Klein: Seriously? So, now we gotta wait until someone gets around to fixing the bug?

Kirito: That or until someone in the real world comes along and takes the NerveGear off us. That's it.

Klein: Well, I live alone. You guys?

U/n: I live with my parents, pretty sure they'll notice if I'm not on time for dinner.

Kirito: I got a mom and a sister, and I'm pretty sure they'll notice by dinnertime and come looking--

Klein ran up to Kirito grabbing his shoulders

Klein: You got a sister? How old is she? What's she like?

Kirito: She's into sports and hates games, and she's totally not your type, man. She wouldn't date a gamer if he's the last guy--

Klein: Who cares? I want to--

Kirito kneed him in his jewels and Klein started groaning but then came to a stop

Klein: Oh, right-- getting kicked in the balls doesn't hurt.

Kirito: Get serious. Don't you think this is weird?

Klein: Yeah, totally, but it's just a bug.

U/n: This isn't just a bug. If we can't log out, it's gonna cause some serious problems for the game.

Klein: Yeah, I guess you're right.

Kirito: I wonder if the developers even know what's happening, cause they could just shut down the server and log everyone out. But why haven't they made an announcement?

My head started tingling again

U/n:(Thoughts) Why is my head tingling? What's--

My thoughts were interrupted by a bell

U/n: Wha the?

We all started glowing and soon found ourselves in a big area with other players

Kirito: Someone Forced a teleport.

Everyone started talking about what was happening

???: Look-- up there.

We looked up and saw a red warning sign

U/n: Now what?

It soon started multiplying making the sky red and blood started falling down all coming together

Klein: What the hell is that thing?

The blooded started forming a giant figure
