"How about this one?" Caitlynn held up a yellow floral top I barely remembered buying.

"No." I shook my head.

"I think we went through like everything in your closet." She collapsed beside me.

I sighed and just closed my eyes. I hated figuring out what to wear. I didn't know what Trevor expected but I was so much more comfortable in a t shirt and jeans. This was a huge reason I hated first dates.

"Let's find bottoms and match a top to them?" She suggested.

"I thought I was just going to wear jeans." I told her.

"Don't you want to blow him away with this super killer outfit? You wear jeans like everyday." She pushed herself off my bed and sat down in front of my dresser pulling the drawer open.

"I don't know if I have much else besides jeans." I joined her on the floor.

She didn't answer, she just searched the drawer intensely.

"What are you looking for?" I questioned.

"This." She pulled the black jean skirt out of the drawer and held it out to me.

"You do realize that it's getting cold out? Skirt season is kind of over." I wasn't trying to freeze even if the outfit was cute.

"That's what these are for." She threw my black over the knee socks at me.

"Cait I don't think I am following the vision." I stared at her.

"Ok we will try these too." She grabbed my dark grey socks as well.

"Cait I think I'll just wear jeans." I put the skirt and socks on my bed.

"Trust me for two seconds? I'll grab a top and you can try them on and if you hate it and want to go with something else I'll let you wear jeans."

I couldn't say no to her. I nodded and she started flipping through my shirts.

"When did you get this?" She held up the grey long sleeve crop top.

"About a year ago but I never wear it." I had bought it thinking it would be something cute to wear with high waisted jeans but I tended to grab a loose t shirt in the morning instead.

"Ok go with the dark grey socks and these." She grabbed my all black high top converse.

"Don't you think this outfit is a little dark? Especially with my black hair?" I gave her a questioning look.

"I think black is your color." She shrugged.

I looked down at the outfit again and sighed. I would trust her.

I walked out once I got changed and I watched as Caitlynns face fell.

"I swear that looked cuter in my head." She laughed.

"This is not funny, he's going to be here in thirty minutes." I smacked her arm.

"Sorry, I like the skirt but the top is a no. I see why you don't wear it."

I glared at her again but she didn't notice she was already off back in my closet.

"Put this on." She handed me a teal cropped sweater I had worn probably twice.

I slide it over my head and looked in the mirror. This looked a lot better than the shirt.

"See that's so much better." Cait smiled.

I examined myself some more and tilted my head.

"You look hot, don't over think it." She assured me.

"Ok." I sighed.

"Hey if you don't feel comfortable in this then we can try something. How about those black ripped jeans?" She went to grab them.

I knew I looked good. I could see it but I didn't feel like myself.

I accepted the jeans and took the skirt off and slid them on. This was way better. I looked like myself.

"He's going to love this." Cait grinned.

"I love it." I nodded.

I felt like myself but it was still better than a t shirt.

Cait helped me with putting a little bit of make up on and curling my hair.

"He's here." I told her.

I watched as he turned his car off through my bedroom window.

"I hope you have an amazing time." She hugged me.

"Thank you for all of this." I really appreciated all her help.

"That's what best friends are for. Now go get your man." She winked.

And that's exactly what I did. I basically ran down the stairs making sure I got to the door before anyone else could.

When I opened it there he was dressed in a pair of jeans, a white t shirt and a black bomber jacket. He looked casual but really amazing.

"You look beautiful." He greeted.

"You don't look too bad yourself."

The smile on his face only seemed to grow as he grabbed my hand and pulled me closer to him.

"I've been waiting to finally take you out for too long." He leaned down and gave my a quick kiss.

"Ditto." I agreed once he pulled away.

"Come on." He didn't let go of my hand as we made our way to his car.

"Wow aren't you the gentleman." I teased as he opened my door for me.

He laughed and shook his head slightly, walking to the drivers side.

When he pulled into the parking lot of the fancy Italian place in the next town over I immediately wanted to smack him. I felt under dressed immediately.

"If I knew we were going here I would have dressed nicer." I shot him a look.

"You look beautiful, it's not that fancy." He told me.

I sighed and nodded. I trusted him and it wasn't like he was crazy dressed up either.

When I opened my car door and got out I was greeted with a frowning Trevor.

"I was going to get the door for you." He sighed.

"I have two perfectly working arms I can open my own door." I said.

"You are going to make this difficult for me aren't you?" He laughed.

I shook my head. I didn't want to make this difficult for him but this was so much different than any other relationship I've been in. Kyles idea of a date was me going over his house and watching as he played some dumb video game with all his friends.

"I promise I won't." I intertwined our hands as we walked into the restaurant.

"Do you have reservations?" The host asked.

"Walker." Trevor nodded.

"For two?"

"Yeah." He confirmed.

"Right this way."

Before we followed the host Trevor gave me a quick kiss on the cheek which had my face starting to turn pink. I wasn't a huge PDA fan but I didn't mind a kiss on the cheek. Trevor knew me enough to not push my limits.

The host showed us to our table and handed us our menus.

"This is really nice." I grinned looking over at my boyfriend.

"Anything for you babe." He winked.

"What are you getting." I asked while scanning through the menu.

"I was thinking about getting the chicken penne." He told me.

I looked through the menu until I found that and read the description. Why did that sound so good? I read the other options in the specialty pasta section and made my decision.

When the food finally arrived I was starving.

"Damn that looks good." Trevor looked at the dish in front of me.

I knew that the tortellini was definitely the best option. While Trevor's chicken penne looked good mine was making my mouth water just looking at it.

"Do you guys want any dessert?" The waitress asked.

"Yeah can we get the mini cannolis to go?" Trevor asked.

"Of course." She nodded.

"To go?" I asked him.

"Yep." He grinned.

"What are you up to?" I narrowed my eyes at him.

"Be patient." He told me.

I wasn't the most patient person. I wanted to know what he was up to. I couldn't even fathom what else he had planned.

Before I knew it the waitress returned with the check and a box that had the dessert in it.

"Thank you." Trevor grabbed both.

"Trevor." I reached for my bag.

"Ella don't even." He shook his head.

"It's too much." I wanted to contribute something.

"You promised not to make this difficult for me. Let me treat you to this." He gave me a look hoping that I will back down.

"Can I get the tip?" I tried to negotiate.

"No." He shook his head.

"The dessert?"

"No."

"Just my dish?"

"No."

I sighed knowing that he won't budge.

"The next date?"

He thought about it for a second.

"Fine." He agreed.

I smiled feeling a sense of victory at my small win.

"Where are you taking me?" I asked for the millionth time.

Trevor had yet to answer me. He just kept driving not even giving me a small hint.

When he finally stopped the car I was confused. He were at a small park. What was he planning?

"Come on." He jumped out of the car grabbing the box from the restaurant and a blanket I hadn't seen from his back seat.

"Are we having a picnic?" I was starting to put the pieces together.

"Do you remember that night we first met, sort of." He questioned not answering the question I had asked him.

"The night of the party?"

He nodded.

Of course I remembered that night. It had been the first time I had ever talked to Trevor. Even if it was short and he only said like two things to me it was the start of something.

"We met looking at the stars I thought we'd do that again. I would have tried to totally recreate that moment but I don't know how Aaron would feel if we had a date in his front lawn." Trevor joked.

I laughed thinking about the image of us having a picnic in the guys front lawn. I could just imagine his face when he looked out the window to see two people from school just chilling in the grass in front of his house.

"I think this is better." I agreed as Trevor spread the blanket out on the ground.

We made ourselves comfortable on the blanket. We were both laid out on our backs looking up at the night sky.

"Do you do this a lot?" I asked.

"What? Look at the stars?"

I nodded.

"Yeah."

I tried to look and see something more than just small bright flecks in a span of darkness but it wasn't anything super special.

"Why?"

"It's amazing if you think about it. All this unknown, all the stars and planets and everything all just turn into the small specks in the sky but in reality they are so much more. If you really think about it we are just a speck in the sky it just depends on your perspective." He explained.

Space was a crazy scary place. That was all I got out of that. There was so much that is unknown to us, stuff we can not see and maybe never will.

So many possibilities we can't even begin to comprehend. When I looked up it was like I could finally see what Trevor saw. I was able to get a glimpse of his perspective on the world.

This boy was so much more than I had ever imagined. There was so much more to learn about him. It was like I was only just scratching the surface.

And I couldn't wait to learn more.
