《Just Another Bad Boy》15. The last meal I'll ever have

Trevor's POV-
"I just don't get it, I thought he was nice." I listened as Ella ranted.
"If I had ever thought that he was as big of a douche as I know he is now maybe I could have told her when she would've actually listen to me." She continued.
I don't really know what she expected me to say. I wasn't one to know what advice to give in these situations. I wanted to be there for her but I really didn't know how.
"Caitlynn deserves better than Tyler right?" She asked me.
"Definitely," I nodded.
I knew she missed her best friend, I could see how hurt she was whenever it was brought up. I saw her staring at caitlynn almost the whole time at the baseball game. She wanted to be friends with her again.
"But she won't listen to me." She sighed.
"So what are you going to do?" I asked her.
"I think I just have to apologize and let her make her own mistakes. I just want my best friend back."
It had been a long week. I hated school but just sitting at home all day was getting boring. Both Ella and Zach were at school all day and I really didn't know what to do. Ella came over everyday after school. She said it was because we had to make up for extra time on the history project but I had a feeling she just missed having me around.
"I think you should talk to her tomorrow at school then." I told her.
"What if she doesn't want to be my friend again?"
"Then you'll have the weekend to calm down and you'll have both me and Zach by your side on Monday."

She gave me a hopeful look.
"I missed having you at school, it's been awfully boring without you." She chuckled.
"It's been awfully boring in this house for the past week. My mom gave me a whole list of things I need to do around the house and it's been complete torture."
While my parents were extremely angry when they first found out I got suspended my mom turned it into this great thing... for her. She wrote out a whole list of things she didn't have time to do and just forced me to do them.
"So what's for dinner?" Ella asked changing the subject.
"I'm not quite sure, it's whatever I decide is easiest to make." I shrugged.
Ella has stayed for dinner a couple times this week. She usually stays unless she gets a call from her parents that they want her home. I liked having her around.
"You're cooking? I think I ought to go home then." She smiled.
"I can cook." I argued.
"Just because you can cook doesn't mean that the food is edible." She joked.
I shoot her a playful glare. An idea pops into my head and I know she'll hate it.
I stand up from my spot on the couch and make my way over to her.
"What are you doing." She widens her eyes.
I wrapped my arms around her and throw her over my shoulder.
"Trevor put me down." She hits me in the back with her fist.
I can't help but laugh at her weak attempt at hitting me.
"I'll put you down once you tell me I'm a good cook."
"My parents taught me to never lie." She said holding her ground.
I turned towards the door and start walking.

"Where are you taking me?" She asked.
She had stopped trying to fight and was just hanging over my shoulder.
"The kitchen, I'm going to cook you the best meal you've ever had."
"More like the last meal I'll ever have." She shot back.
I just shook my head and make my way into the kitchen.
"I'm home," my mother walked through the door and just freezes.
"Hey mom." I smiled.
"Hey Trevor....and Ella." She looked at me with this giant smile on her face and that's when I knew I was in trouble.
You see, my mom was a crazy person. My dad always told me stories of all the times my mom tried to meddle in other peoples lives. She really couldn't help herself.
"Hi Mrs. Walker." I heard Ella call out.
"Will you put the poor girl down." My mom laughed.
"She said I can't cook." I explained.
"You're just like your father." My mother shook her head and walked past us into her bedroom.
"I think all my blood has rushed to my head." Ella sighed.
I grabbed Ella's waist and pulled her off my shoulder and back onto her feet.
"Better?" I questioned.
"Much." She smiled and nodded.
I would never get sick of seeing a smile on her face.
Her phone started to ring and she glanced down at it. She doesn't answer she just pressed the red decline button and sighed.
"I should probably go." She said.
"Yeah ok, I'll see you tomorrow?" I hoped she'd be back, I liked spending time with her.
"Yeah and next time we are working on our project."
I laughed, it was funny really. We have spent everyday under the false pretenses that we will work on the project but we have yet to actually do it.
"Yes ma'am." I nodded.
She just rolled her eyes and went to grab her bag.
When she walked out we said our goodbyes and she went home.
I walked into the kitchen and looked to see what I could make. I was truly clueless in the kitchen, Ella had been right. I couldn't cook to save my life but she didn't need to know that.
I made the executive decision and decided I'd order take out from somewhere. My parents were just going to have to be happy with that. It was either that or me poisoning everyone and I don't think they would want that.
"Well if it isn't my favorite son." My dad walked into our apartment.
"I'm your only son." I raised my eyebrows at him.
"So what are you making us?"
"Some delicious take out." I smiled.
"You are your mothers son." He chuckled.
I just laughed.
"So is Ella joining us tonight?" My dad asked.
"No why?" I gave him a strange look.
"I can see that you care for her, even if you don't want to admit it to yourself yet, I know you do. She is one of those girls that doesn't come around everyday. She makes you happy and that's something worth fighting for. When you get her, don't let her go. Trust me you'll regret it." My dad told me and walked off to my parents bedroom.
I just stood there and thought about what my dad said. I knew he was right. Ella was so different from everyone I had ever met and I knew that I had feelings for this girl. She was truly special.
