《Princess of Peace [BNHA]》Chapter Forty Eight

Midoriya and Bakugo being on house arrest ended up being pure torture for me the moment Mr. Aizawa informed us all that we weren't allowed to tell them anything about what we went over in classes. Anytime Midoriya threw me a puppy dog look I nearly broke. The rest of my classmates took turns keeping Midoriya and Bakugo away from me so I wouldn't cave in and tell them anything. It was awful. I felt horrible and spent my entire time outside of class barricaded in my room.
I was able to relax a little on the day Midoriya was allowed to return to classes, but everyone was still keeping me away from Bakugo. As we were all getting ready to leave in the morning, the girls rushed me out the door the moment Bakugo attempted to approach me, nearly causing Ritsu to topple off my head. Luckily, I managed to catch Ritsu. My classmates didn't release me until we got to our classroom.
"Sorry Amy. We were worried you'd say something to Bakugo and we didn't want you to get in trouble." Hagakure apologized for their rough handling.
"I-it's okay. Thanks for looking out for me everyone." I smiled as we all began to take our seats.
I thought I heard Midoriya yelling in the distance. The sound got closer and suddenly the door flew open causing me to let out a squeak of terror and nearly topple out of my seat as Midoriya suddenly barreled into the room and yelled, "guys! I'm sorry for all the trouble I caused!"
"No sweat Deku! Thanks for your hard work!" Uraraka cheered.
"All he did was vacuum." Jiro jabbed before looking at me as I righted myself, "and he nearly gave Amy a heart attack."
"I-I'm okay." I squeaked.
Midoriya suddenly paled, "ah! Amy I'm so sorry! I didn't mean to scare yo-."
"It's okay, Izuku." I reassured him with a smile. "I'm glad to have you back in class."
His cheeks reddened and he suddenly began muttering to himself a mile a minute. I noticed Mr. Aizawa in the doorway behind him and frantically tried to wave my arms at him to get his attention and snap him from his rambling before he got in trouble for not being in his seat. Mr. Aizawa cleared his throat causing Midoriya to nearly jump out of his skin.
"Time to take your seats, everyone." Mr. Aizawa stared pointedly at Midoriya, who was currently the only one not in his seat causing him to pale and scramble to his seat.
Once Midoriya was seated, Mr. Aizawa informed us we'd be learning more about the work studies he'd mentioned before. I'd been trying to take detailed notes so I could share them with Bakugo since he'd missed more on the topic than anyone else and quickly got out my notebook to write down everything Mr. Aizawa said on the subject. I didn't get a chance to write anything down before Mr. Aizawa turned his attention to the now closed door.
"Go ahead and come in." Mr. Aizawa raised his voice a little so whoever was outside could hear, "I'll have people who have experienced work studies firsthand, explain a little more."
The door opened.Three people stepped inside. I recognized two of them as Amajiki and Togata but the third was a girl I didn't recognize. She was pretty and had long pale periwinkle hair and royal blue eyes hidden behind thick lashes.
"I suggest you listen carefully as they point out how work studies differ from internships. These three are third years at UA. They rank at the very top of our student body. You may know them as The Big Three." Mr. Aizawa said as the three third years filed into the room and stood before the class.

I offered a shy smile to Amajiki as I realized he looked very uncomfortable being front and center. He'd begun to shrink into himself and kept his head down. He glanced in my direction and I waved.
The tips of his ears began to redden.
"Get to it, introduce yourselves briefly." Mr. Aizawa sighed, "let's start with Amajiki."
Amajiki shakily looked up at the class, his gaze intense and almost scary before he began to shake. "I can't do it." He was panicking.
His gaze fell on me and I offered him a smile and gave him what I hoped was an encouraging thumbs up. Ritsu mimicked the action from atop my shoulder. "You're doing great, Amajiki-senpai, don't worry." I beamed.
"Cute!"Kaminari, Mineta and Sero said in unison.
"Aw! Ritsu is mimicking Amy!" Ashido squealed.
"That's adorable!" Hagakure joined in.
Amajiki's face turned an alarming shade of red but he managed to compose himself while my classmates were fawning over me and Ritsu enough to mumble his name to the class, though I was sure no one else had heard. He looked at me with a smile.
The pretty girl with the periwinkle hair looked at Amajiki in awe before turning her gaze to me then grinning slyly at Mirio, "you were right, she is like a real life princess and she managed to tame our little kitten Amajiki."
Mr. Aizawa rubbed his temples, "...introductions..." He reminded everyone.
"Oh right!" The girl grinned, "I'm Nejire Hado. I'm supposed to talk about work studies. You first years have a really exciting time ahead of you." Her eyes flicked around the room, "honestly I'm more interested in the little princess!" She scrambled over to my desk. "You got Amajiki to talk to you without imagining you as a potato! Oh oh and your cute little sidekick, what's his name?! Where did you get him?" She launched into a full scale interrogation.
"Potato?" My classmates chorused in confusion.
"I- uh-." I couldn't get a word in to answer any of her questions before she began launching new ones.
Hado continued on talking a mile a minute asking about anything and everything and even throwing questions at everyone else, though she seemed to be glued to my desk.
I glanced over in Mr. Aizawa's direction and let out a squeak of panic as I realized he was glaring intently at Hado. "EEP! Hado-senpai-."
"Oh! That's so cute! Please call me Nejire-senpai instead." Hado squealed.
"Uh- Nejire-senpai-" I attempted to pipe up as it looked like Mr. Aizawa's eyes were beginning to glow menacingly.
"This is completely irrational." Mr. Aizawa growled.
"Oh there's no need for you to worry, Eraser Head." Togata attempted to smooth things over, "I'm up next and I'll get the audience refocused." He grinned before stepping forward and speaking with great bravado, "the future's gonna be...?" He put his hand up to his ear as if he were waiting for us all to respond.
I looked around at my classmates. Everyone was just as confused as I was.
"Peaceful?" I asked hopefully.
"Aw!"The girls of my class and even Hado squealed.
Togata cracked a smile, "awful! That was your guys' part."
"Eh?! W-why does it have to be awful?" I squeaked, causing Togata to laugh.
"Don't worry Amy! Your future will definitely be peaceful and adorable." Hagakure declared and the majority of my classmates and Hado nodded.
"I dunno guys as soon as we start letting her train with Bakugo again peaceful goes out the window." Kirishima snickered.

Mr. Aizawa cleared his throat and everyone fell silent and directed their attention back at Togata.
"Hm. You guys got your provisional licenses as first years, right? Huh! This batch of new students has proven to be pretty darn energetic. So the problem is, you must not have a sense of humor. That's why my joke didn't land." Togata finished off somewhat mumbling to himself.
Amajiki looked over in his direction warily, "don't do it."
"Heads up! The rad new plan is all you first years fight me at once." Togata beamed.
"Huh?" Everyone gaped at him.
"F-Fight?" I asked warily. It had been awhile since I'd been allowed to train with Bakugo. I didn't feel comfortable fighting without him.
"Protect Amy!" Ashido squealed and I yelped as all of my classmates seated around me suddenly moved as if to shield me.
"What are you guys doing?" I squeaked.
Ritsu hopped off my shoulder and landed on my desk bawling his teeny tiny paws into teeny tiny fists and waving them in Togata's direction.
Togata laughed.
Mr. Aizawa looked thoughtful for a moment before giving us the go ahead and telling us all to get changed into our gym uniforms. After changing we all met up in one of the many gyms on campus. As soon as I stepped through the door I spotted Togata stretching off by himself on one end of the gym. Amajiki was standing off to the side with his head pressed to the wall trying to block out everyone else around him.
My classmates quickly huddled around me, sticking me in the middle as we moved toward Togata. "What are you guys doing?" I asked curiously.
"Keeping you safe." Todoroki's voice sounded behind me and I jumped as I felt him place his hands on my shoulders.
"Are we sure we need to worry about this guy?" Sato asked.
"I dunno, he seems pretty serious." Kirishima shrugged and everyone glanced over at Togata as he stretched.
"Is he for real?" Sero asked warily.
"Oh yeah, totes real." Togata replied, his voice strained while he was mid stretch.
"Mirio, you're impossible." Amajiki groaned from against the wall. "It would have been simple enough for us to just tell them, 'this is what it's like here's what we learned'. Not everyone has your level of drive. Plus think about how bad it'll look if some of them can't recover after fighting you.No one wants to spend the next few years in a hospital bed." He ranted gloomily.
"Hospital?" I squeaked.
All of my classmates suddenly glared at Togata, "if he even thinks about hurting Amy, he's toast." Uraraka dramatically pounded her fists together.
"Yeah! That's the spirit!" Kirishima chimed in.
I sighed. "...um...you guys...I can fight now too..." I timidly spoke up but they were all too riled up and planning their best course of action to play 'keep the princess away from the upperclassman'.
Todoroki's hands disappeared from my shoulders. I turned to him curiously. He offered me a small smile, "I'll be relying on you."
My cheeks reddened. "O-Okay! I won't let you down." I beamed.
Todoroki's smile grew and he gently pat me atop the head.
The rest of our classmates got ready for what was to come and I turned just as Togata's clothes seemed to fall off of him. I hurriedly shielded my eyes and let out a panicked scream, "Mirio-senpai why do you keep losing your clothes?!"
Everyone froze.
"You didn't have any the other day, either!" I rambled on in my flustered panic. I could feel Ritsu tapping his teeny tiny paw atop my head and realized he must be mimicking someone else tapping their foot in annoyance.
"...what was that?" Mr. Aizawa's voice came out in a growl and I chanced a peek through my fingers. Togata managed to get his pants back on but was now shirtless.
"Ah- hahaha- Amy that sounds very misleading." Togata laughed nervously as everyone threw him a threatening look.
"Mirio, you have some explaining to do." Amajiki managed to pull himself away from the wall to scowl at Togata.
Hado fell over laughing. "Amy! You're the best! We're going to be the very best of friends!"
"Part of me wants to tell Bakugo but I also think it's a very bad idea to tell Bakugo." Kirishima snickered.
"Definitely a bad idea." Kaminari pointed.
"But this creep totally exposed himself to Amy." Mineta piped up.
"The creep has a point." Jiro noted.
"H-hey!" Mineta whined.
"So we tell Bakugo?" Kirishima pondered.
Everyone nodded.
"Wait...hold on... I think there's been a misunderstanding." Togata laughed uneasily as Mr. Aizawa was now throwing him a very hostile look.
"Amy?" Mr. Aizawa didn't stop glaring at Togata. "What happened?"
"I ran into Mirio-senpai on my way back to the dorm after I brought you cat pancakes. He was in the sidewalk and when he popped out he didn't have clothes on."
"Think of all the skirts he could look up." Mineta pointed, in a strange tone.
"He's dead." Ashido, Jiro, and Hagakure growled in unison.
"Any last words?" Mr. Aizawa glowered at Togata.
"Ah haha." Togata laughed nervously, "wait Princess it sounds bad when you say it like that. You even have Eraser Head under your spell, that's hardly fair!" He turned to Mr. Aizawa with his hands held up for peace, "I stayed in the sidewalk."
Mr. Aizawa sighed, threw him one last warning look before turning to me, "Amy, you're sitting this one out."
"Huh? B-but I'm getting better at fighti-." I began to protest.
"I'm not dealing with any massacre that would occur as a result if any more wardrobe malfunctions happen in your presence, your Old Man isn't the most stable." Mr. Aizawa grumbled.
Everyone pondered his words for a moment before suddenly going pale.
"Okay." I reluctantly went to stand on the sidelines with Amajiki. Mr. Aizawa soon joined us and signaled for Togata to begin.
Not even three seconds into the fight, Amajiki, Ritsu and Mr. Aizawa all shielded my eyes as Togata lost his clothes again and continued fighting in the nude. From the sounds of it my classmates were having a hard time. I heard Jiro let out a scream and my quirk activated reflexively as my worry for my friends consumed me. My hair suddenly fluttered around me.
"Amy?" Mr. Aizawa's voice sounded shocked.
"W-what happened?" I squeaked, still not able to see anything.
"Togata just flew through the wall." Hado giggled.
"Ah! I'm so sorry, Mirio-senpai!" I squealed. "I didn't mean to!"
"Your quirk works on Mirio when he's using his quirk." Amajiki noted beside me.
"I-I guess so, it happened the other day too." I squeaked. "Um...am I allowed to look yet?"
"No!" Everyone shouted in unison.
"O-okay." I stammered nervously.

The Kodoku Game
In Japanese folklore, there once existed an ancient technique among alchemists for harvesting the strongest poison known to man. A poison so vicious, so horrendous, that a single drop could incapacitate an entire nation of humans, several times over. A poison so intense that a single drop could turn the tides of a war on its head. As potent as it appeared however, this poison could be harvested from the blood of a single insect alone- an insect the alchemist’s called the ‘Kodoku’. As lucrative as was attaining this poison however, the problem lied in identifying this insect- its appearance, shape and size changed from region to region and from continent to continent. Sometimes it took the appearance of a ladybug and other times a horned-beetle. In order to determine the identity of this special insect the alchemists came up with an ingenious method. They created an impregnable jar of clay out of the best sandstone they could find and placed hundreds of different insects into the same jar. The jar was made with such great mastery that it allowed no insects to escape and allowed no objects to enter. The laws of nature dictated that the insects would remain together in the jar forever. However, it turned out that as time went on, the insects’ hunger for food and power caused them to turn against each other- one insect ate another until only one remained. This sole insect contained a poison that far surpassed that of all the others and became stronger as it ate more and more insects. The alchemists at this point had succeeded in identifying the Kodoku and could extract it’s poison as long as they continued to feed it regularly. Although this folklore ends here, the actual story does not. One day, as the alchemists cheered in joy of having identified the Kodoku they so eagerly wanted, they forgot to close the lid on the very jar that was considered to be completely impregnable. This small gap was just large enough for the Kodoku inside to crawl out. Famished from not having been fed for weeks, the Kodoku ended up eating the very alchemists that nourished its growth until not even the bones remained. Yet, the Kodoku’s hunger didn’t seem to subside in the slightest. So it traveled to the next village and began eating whatever it could find there. Its poison made it unparalleled in strength and slowly but surely it began to dwindle down the population of the entire city. Yet its hunger only continued to grow. So it traveled to the next city over and ate all it could there. Very soon, the Kodoku couldn’t find any more food to eat. There was no one left to eat and no one left to spectate. So it stood there, by itself pondering what possibly was left to eat that could satiate its hunger. But there was one thing left that Kodoku realized it had never eaten. Itself.
