《Princess of Peace [BNHA]》Chapter Forty Seven

~Amy's POV~
I woke with a giggle as I felt something cuddly soft and warm nestled against my neck. Ritsu stretched beside me tickling me with his teeny tiny paws. I giggled again and he hurriedly scrambled atop my chest so I could see him and did some kind of weird bow/salute.
"Good Morning, Ritsu, did you sleep okay?" I asked him with a smile.
He nodded his furry little head and I gingerly reached out to give him some scritches.
"I slept much better." I grinned, "thanks for keeping all the nightmares away."
Ritsu stood up a bit straighter at this and it almost seemed like he'd puffed out his teeny furry chest. I gave him a few gentle pets and some more scritches under his chin which he really seemed to enjoy before reluctantly climbing out of bed.
It was the first day that classes would be returning to normal after the break and all that had happened with The League of Villains and Dad retiring as a hero. Ritsu settled himself atop my head after I put my hair in a loose bun and tagged along as I completed my morning routine and got ready for the day. We headed down to the kitchen. Midoriya and Bakugo were busy cleaning. As part of their punishment they had to stay on house arrest and weren't even allowed to attend classes. I felt guilty, I'd broken the rules too and even destroyed the entire training grounds at Ground Beta.
"Good morning." I greeted them both, I tried my best to sound chipper but there was a morose edge to my voice.
They both turned to me. Midoriya beamed brighter than ever, Bakugo looked me over before his lips pulled into a frown.
"Good morning, Amy." Midoriya chimed back with a smile.
"What's wrong?" Bakugo growled.
"H-huh?" Midoriya and I replied simultaneously.
"Your voice sounded weird. What are you beating yourself up over now?" Bakugo glowered at me.
"N-nothing. I-I'm fine." I squeaked.
"If you're feeling guilty because we're on house arrest and you're not, get over it!" Bakugo snapped.
"Uh, Kacchan-." Midoriya attempted to chime in.
"Shut up, loser!" Bakugo snarled.
I strangely felt a little better after Bakugo told me not to worry about it, in Bakugo fashion. I managed a smile. "Would you two like breakfast?"
Midoriya looked at me with stars in his eyes. "Breakfast from Amy." He said in a daze, "I have to tell mo-."
"Shut the hell up, Deku!" Bakugo threw his dust rag in Midoriya's face. He rounded on me, "just make breakfast for yourself."
"Oh. O-okay." I blushed. I thought everyone liked my cooking. Maybe they didn't. A lot of my classmates ate meat and I only cooked vegetarian meals, perhaps it was more of a hindrance. I should have been more considerate.
"Now what the hell is wrong?!" Bakugo yelled, though his voice had an almost panicked edge to it as he moved toward me.
"I'm sorry, I thought everyone liked my cooking but I guess I didn't really consider-." I didn't get to finish my sentence as Bakugo let out a loud snarl of frustration.
"Fine! I want breakfast!" He placed his hands atop my shoulders and steered me into the kitchen.
"But-?" I looked at him, confused.
"I like your cooking!" Bakugo snapped.
Midoriya stared at him wide eyed.
Ritsu let out a loud squeak and leapt off my head and onto Bakugo's and appeared to be trying his hardest to punch Bakugo, though it appeared to be having little to no effect.

"What the hell?!" Bakugo snarled and reached up to swipe Ritsu out of his hair. He glowered at the adorable chipmunk once he was at eye level, "what is your deal?"
Ritsu promptly bit his hand.
"EEP! Ritsu! That wasn't very nice!" I squealed and tried to wrestle him away from Bakugo, but he wasn't budging.
"You want to go furball?" Bakugo glared at Ritsu.
"Y-you're not allowed to fight Ritsu." I squeaked.
Bakugo's crimson eyes flashed in my direction, "what?"
"He's my friend and you're not allowed to hurt him." I squeaked once more as I tried to pull Ritsu free.
"He bit me!" Bakugo snapped.
"I'm going to have a talk with him." I managed to get him to loosen his grip and Ritsu scurried back up to sit atop my head.
Midoriya surveyed the scene in awe, seeming surprised that Bakugo hadn't blown either of us up. "...I think maybe Ritsu thought you were upsetting her because you were yelling at her."
"Nobody asked you!" Bakugo snapped.
I gently scooped Ritsu up as Bakugo continued yelling at Midoriya and looked to the cute chipmunk in my hands. "Ritsu, I like Katsuki so I'd appreciate it if you didn't bite him, even if you think he's being mean to me. He likes to yell a lot but he's not mean."
Ritsu nodded and scrambled up my arm to sit atop my head again. Bakugo shot a scowl in my direction though I noticed a faint splash of color in his cheeks.
I set to work preparing a spicy breakfast hash and placed a small tray of pine nuts on the counter for Ritsu. Spying his favorite snack, Ritsu hopped onto the counter and began stuffing his cheeks adorably with pine nuts. Bakugo threw a scathing look at Midoriya as he inched closer to see what I was making.
"Make it spicier." Bakugo grumbled.
"Was it not spicy enough last time?" I asked him curiously.
"It was fine, but I want it spicier this time." He smirked.
Midoriya let out a teeny tiny yelp and I wondered if he couldn't handle spicy foods.
"If it's too spicy for you, Izuku, I can make something else." I offered.
"N-no that's okay." Midoriya squeaked.
I continued with the now extra spicy breakfast hash. By the time I finished making it, Midoriya's eyes were watering from the blend of spices. A few others had ventured down and opted out of breakfast, though some were brave enough to try and somehow breakfast turned into a spice challenge.
Bakugo seemed to be enjoying everyone else's torment as he smirked when anyone took a bite of the extra spicy breakfast hash and then dove for a glass of water. Midoriya managed a single bite before he had to down two glasses of milk and ended up giving himself an adorable milk mustache. Todoroki got through half a bowl before casually sipping water. Sero, Mineta and Kaminari were on the ground in tears while drowning themselves in water. Ashido finished her bowl and asked for seconds. Sato, Koda, Jiro, Hagakure, Asui, Aoyama and Tokoyamai didn't join in. Uraraka finished her bowl but then joined Midoriya in downing glasses of milk. Kirishima asked for seconds. Yaoyorozu and Iida managed to finish their bowls before eating a spoonful of peanut butter to combat the spice. Shoji and Ojiro ate their bowls with little reaction. Bakugo ate his bowl with a faint smile not seeming bothered by the spice at all.
I giggled at all of my friends' silly morning antics and handed a napkin to Midoriya and Uraraka for their matching milk mustaches before preparing a bowl for myself. Everyone looked at me in concern.

"I fear it may be too spicy for you, Amy." Iida piped up.
"It's not." I smiled and took a bite. Mom had loved spicy foods and had even tried to grow her own peppers, though she seemed to possess whatever the opposite of a green thumb was as she somehow managed to burn every single garden she'd tried to grow. I had no idea how she managed to set them all on fire when her quirk was telekinesis like mine.
Bakugo's smirk turned to a small faint wisp of a smile as I ate the super spicy breakfast hash with a smile on my face.
After an eventful breakfast, everyone, save for Bakugo and Midoriya, headed to class. I tried to talk Ritsu into staying at the dorm, but he wouldn't hear of it and stayed on my shoulder as I walked with the rest of my classmates to class.
Ashido looped her arm through mine, "breakfast was amazing as always, Amy." She beamed. "You spoil us too much."
"Sorry if it was too spicy for some of you." I blushed as I looked to those who'd had bad reactions to the challenge.
"I'm sure the fault is entirely Bakugo's." Jiro pointed.
"He asked me to make it spicier than last time." I agreed.
"I think it was perfect, I feel so much more awake." Kirishima beamed.
"Me too!" Uraraka added.
As we stepped into the school, Iida began directing us, taking his role as class representative very seriously. We were all supposed to gather outside in our classes and listen to a return speech from Principal Nezu. "Listen up everyone. Stay in line and move promptly in position! I want to see order!" He stepped out of the line we'd all formed and began chopping the air.
I couldn't help but giggle, he looked a little silly and by telling us all to stay in line, he'd left the line we'd all been in and was now the only one not in line.
"Uh. You're the only one who's not in line." Sero pointed and I giggled again.
As we passed the locker area, I spotted Monoma leaning casually against the wall with a smirk plastered on his face. It looked like he was waiting to say something. Once the rest of Class 1A got within earshot he spoke up. "I heard a little rumor about class 1A." He said in a quiet voice before finally looking up at us with a grin, "two people! You had two people fail the licensing exam, you losers!" He cackled.
My classmates were all somewhat taken aback by his outburst. I stepped forward with my hands on my hips and fixed him with my best intimidating look, "Neito, it's not very nice to make fun of people. You should apologize." I felt Ritsu stand upright on my shoulder and realized he was mimicking my pose.
"Oh god, my heart, she's too cute!" Kaminari dramatically slumped against Sero.
"If he says anything mean to her, we're taking him out." Ashido declared quietly to the others.
The rest of my classmates all nodded their agreement.
Monoma's cheeks reddened. "I-...you were excluded from that..." He huffed.
"It still wasn't nice. Apologize." I folded my arms across my chest and felt Ritsu follow suit.
Monoma opened his mouth, then closed it again. He thought for a moment before opening his mouth, then closing it again. This process repeated a few times before more of class 1B trickled from their locker area.
"Amy, you must teach me that trick, you broke him!" Tokage, a girl with dark mossy green hair, grinned as she joined me in the hall and poked Monoma's forehead as if to check if he were still alive.
"Oh, maybe that was too harsh." I panicked, "Neito, are you alright?"
Monoma's cheeks reddened and Tokage burst into a fit of laughter.
"Don't worry Amy, he's fine." Kendo offered me a smile.
"Hey! We're trying to get through back here." A familiar voice sounded from behind us.
I turned and smiled as I spotted Shinso and the rest of the general studies students behind him. Our classes had ended up blocking the hall with our conversation. "Sorry, Hitoshi." I apologized.
His stiff demeanor eased up as he turned his attention to me. His gaze flicked to the chipmunk on my shoulder and he chuckled softly, "seriously Princess Scaredy Cat, when's your Disney movie coming out?"
My cheeks burned at this. "What Disney movie?"
Shinso smiled, and offered me his arm once he got within reach, "walk with me?"
I placed my arm in his without thinking, my heart fluttered in my chest as he swiftly whisked me down the hall.
"H-hey! Wait, we're supposed to stay together as a class!" Iida panicked, causing the rest of our classmates to laugh.
"So, who's your furry friend?" Shinso chuckled, completely ignoring my classmates.
"His name is Ritsu, he wanted to be my knight." I giggled.
Shinso choked on a laugh, "of course he did." His deep indigo eyes swept over me and his lips pulled into a smile.
"I'm sorry if I got you in trouble." I murmured as I thought of our excursion after curfew the other night.
"You didn't." He reassured me. "I made the call."
"But-." I was going to protest that he'd only gone because of me but he cut me off.
"Don't forget Princess, I'd already broken curfew to come visit you so I'd have been in trouble either way, stop worrying about it." He pointed.
"Sorry." I blushed.
Shinso smirked, "for not getting me in trouble?"
My face reddened.
"You're worth the trouble." He smiled.
We stepped outside where the rest of the student body was starting to gather. Dad and the rest of the faculty were already outside, some were directing the students, the rest were standing together talking about something. Dad looked over as Shinso and I stepped outside and his eyes widened as he spotted us linked arm in arm. It looked like he was having a tiny internal meltdown but he managed to compose himself and offer us a very odd smile that looked a bit painful.
His gaze fell on Ritsu sitting on my shoulder and he threw me a questioning look. I shrugged and tried to convey that it was hard to explain in a single look but I wasn't quite sure if he caught my meaning as he just chuckled and resumed his conversation with Midnight, Present Mic and Mr. Aizawa.
"He's freaking out less." Shinso noted in an impressed tone.
"Hm?" I looked at him curiously.
"Your Dad." Shinso chuckled.
Shinso and I parted ways once the rest of my classmates caught up. Some of them threw him scathing looks for 'kidnapping' me again. Once everyone was gathered and lined up in order. Principal Nezu started his speech.
After Principal Nezu's speech. Mr. Hound Dog took to the stage to talk about something though, he only got about two coherent words out before he started growling and barking and none of us understood a word of what he was trying to say. Class 1B's teacher Mr. Kan luckily stepped in to translate once he was finished and mentioned the fight and Ground Beta getting destroyed.
I covered my face with my hands embarrassed and stricken with guilt. I didn't mean to destroy it. The rest of the student body began whispering furiously trying to figure out who was fighting and who destroyed Ground Beta. My classmates threw me worried looks.
"Don't sweat it, Amy." Kirishima attempted to cheer me up.
"Yeah, I'm sure it happens all the time." Kaminari added.
"You idiots aren't helping." Jiro hissed at them and smacked them both with her earphone jacks before offering me a reassuring smile. "It's okay, Amy."
I nodded my head to reassure my friends that I was alright, but they all saw right through me. Ritsu tapped on my neck until I turned my head in his direction before trying to hug my cheek. I couldn't help but giggle as his soft furry body tickled across my skin. I gave him a few scritches.
"Thanks, Ritsu." I smiled.
"Definitely a Disney Princess." Hagakure giggled.
The rest of my classmates nodded.

8 145So I'm a cat, what now?
It seems I've reincarnated into a fantasy world as a cat. What now? This is my first publically published story, and I would love feedback in any form as I have no idea how well the quality of my writing holds up. This story will have light litRPG elements, though I won't dig into numbers much, since I don't enjoy fiddling with them. The tone will be generally light, and I willl probably try to throw some comedy in there as well. The beginning will be Slice of Life, and unless I come up with a longer plot that I like it will stay that way.
