《Princess of Peace [BNHA]》Chapter Thirty Two

I lost all concept of time in the cold dark meat locker. Sometimes the Nomu that could temporarily erase my quirk would torment me if my quirk started acting up. On the bright side, I no longer felt cold...quite the contrary, I felt like I was on fire and could only assume one or many of my injuries was infected and my body was riddled with fever.
At some point, I was pulled from the locker and taken to The Master's monitor room. From our few interactions, I gathered he was known as All For One or as most of The League of Villains referred to him, The Master. It seemed like something was going on, I thought I heard a crash from somewhere in the distance. The masked villain was on his feet for the first time since I'd been here. I flinched as he approached me. I wasn't sure I had a patch of skin that didn't have a bite mark or puncture wound from his Nomu.
"Stay right there." He pointed to a corner of the room and I moved as quickly as I could and dropped to my knees in the corner, my legs no longer able to support me.
The terrifying Nomu who'd become my constant companion stood at the door ready to pounce if I made the slightest move as All For One disappeared. I crouched frozen in terror. I had no idea what the crashing sounds were. Suddenly the Nomu was wrenched out the door. It started to let out a wail but it was cut short. I threw my hands up over my head and cowered in the corner too afraid to look at what other terrifying thing had appeared.
"Amelia?" A voice I was struggling to recall sounded from the doorway. I'd heard it somewhere before...but where? It was a soothing, gentle voice. "Amelia?" The voice was getting closer. "You're safe now, I'll get you out of here."
Safe? I didn't feel safe...I wasn't sure if I'd ever feel safe again. Wait...get out of here? I wasn't allowed to move! If I moved, I'd get attacked.
"NO!" I screamed in a panic and rocked in the corner as tears streamed down my cheeks, "I'm not allowed to move..." I choked on a sob. "It'll hurt me if I move." I cried.
"Sh. It's alright." A gentle hand rested atop my head, "you're safe now."
I glanced upward and spotted a man with neatly combed blonde hair wearing a denim suit. Best Jeanist! More tears welled in my eyes. Was I really safe? I held my breath and flinched as he picked me up. Panic settled in, I could hear the Nomu's wail in the back of my mind and I cowered in fear.
"No...it's not safe...they'll hurt you..." I cried.
Best Jeanist carried me out of the room keeping a firm yet gentle hold on me as if he were trying to comfort me. I didn't feel very comforted, I kept thinking of the terrifying Nomu and what it was going to do the moment it was free and realized I'd left my spot. We passed the morgue I'd been calling home for however long I'd been trapped in this hell and a shiver rolled down my spine. I'd never ventured to this side of the hall. It opened up into what looked like a warehouse. There were strange pods filled with liquid. There were other heroes fishing people out of other pods.
Despite the other heroes present, I couldn't relax or calm down. I was in a state of frantic panic waiting for The Nomu to jump out at me at any second. "...please...it's not safe...they'll hurt you...all of you..." I protested weakly. My body felt like it was on fire and I was seeing everything through a somewhat foggy haze.

"Don't you worry." Best Jeanist assured me quietly as he carried me to a giant of a woman by the name of Mt. Lady. She was pretty and had crimson eyes and long pale hair and was currently taller than most buildings and trying to squeeze into the giant warehouse to assist everyone. Best Jeanist looked up at her, "get Amelia to a hospital as quick as possible."
"No...I have to stay..." I protested weakly as he gently set me in Mt. Lady's giant hand.
Mt. Lady nodded and turned to leave. She didn't make it more than a few steps before I heard a familiar voice that made my blood curdle...All for One. There was a massive blast of some kind of force. Mt. Lady was sent flying. Her grip on me loosened. I didn't even think about the possibility of me plummeting to my death, my mind was too focused on watching for the putrid white Nomu expecting it to leap into the air after me at any moment. I felt something tug on my bloodied clothing and my body flew even further from the now shredded warehouse.
I glanced up and saw what looked like a strand of thread connected to my bloodied clothing trying to guide me away. Best Jeanist? The thread broke and I felt myself begin to fall into a nearby alley. I thought I saw a spark or a flash of something green out of the corner of my eye before I felt a pair of strong arms encircle me. Someone had leapt up to meet me and get me back down to earth safely. It took a moment for my eyes to adjust.
I peered up at my rescuer and found a pair of tear filled bright green eyes staring back at me. My gaze lowered to the familiar freckled cheeks then back up to the untamable mop of dark green hair. "...Izuku?" I choked.
"A-Amy." His voice cracked.
"H-here." I heard another familiar voice, "I made blankets."
I turned and spotted Yaoyorozu furiously using her quirk to make more blankets and handing them off to Todoroki who helped Midoriya wrap me in them. She too had tears in her eyes and kept panic producing blankets to the point they'd started to pile up around her.
"I think that's enough." Todoroki placed a hand on her shoulder to stop her from filling the alley with blankets.
I spotted Tenya and Kirishima also trying to help but not knowing what to do so just standing nearby to offer moral support. They all appeared to be wearing disguises of some sort which had me questioning if they were really here or if this was some kind of dream I'd concocted because I missed my friends and wished to be free.
"...are you guys really here?" I asked, my voice was raspy and my throat hurt when I spoke.
Yaoyorozu broke down in tears. Kirishima rushed to her aid seeming to be the only one not uncomfortable around a sobbing girl. He wrapped an arm around her shoulders and offered me a warm smile. "Of course, we're really here, we couldn't just sit by and do nothing, we had to rescue our friends."
I looked down the alley, "Katsuki?"
"Was he not with you?" Tenya asked me curiously.
I shook my head. I was thankful he wasn't. The few times I'd gotten to see him it didn't look like they were doing anything to hurt him just keeping him against his will. The blankets Yaoyorozu had created were soft and warm and it took all I had to keep myself from drifting to sleep.

"We need to get her to a hospital." Yaoyorozu spoke up softly.
Everyone jumped at the sound of another crash and I felt my body freeze up as I heard All for One's voice again. I noticed the looks on everyone else's faces, they were all petrified and frozen in fear. It was too dangerous. Something moved at the end of the alley and I felt my heart slow to nearly a stop as I spotted the white Nomu with the decaying skin. Best Jeanist must have gotten hurt. In the back of my mind I saw the Nomu ripping my friends to pieces. I felt a skull splitting pain in the back of my head as I stared in horror at the Nomu. It raced toward us. Everyone was still frozen. The pain in my skull intensified and the Nomu suddenly fell flat on its face causing everyone to jump.
My body shook uncontrollably and I felt blood spill from my nose and ears. My vision blurred. What just happened? Tears welled in my eyes as I thought of my mother's journal entry about the day my quirk had been awakened. She thought I stopped someone's heart with my quirk. Did I do that to the Nomu?!
"We have to get out of here." Tenya mouthed to everyone.
Yaoyorozu nodded her agreement, "Amy needs a hospital." She mouthed too.
Midoriya, Kirishima and Todoroki all nodded.
I heard a splash followed by coughing and sputtering, then the sound of Bakugo's voice, "damn it. What the hell?" He was claimed by a coughing fit. The moment he recovered, he let out a roar of rage, "you better tell me where Amy is you bastard!"
"My apologies, Bakugo." All for One replied.
"That's not an answer!" Bakugo roared.
I trembled in Midoriya's arms. No! Bakugo couldn't fight him. He was too powerful. Everyone jumped as cuts began to appear on the side of the brick buildings on either side of us as if powerful invisible claws were slicing through them.
"Ah!" Midoriya panicked, "it's okay. Stay calm, Amy. I'm calm. Iida's calm. Todoroki is calm."
"Bakugo is for sure not calm." Kirishima added.
"Not helping." Yaoyorozu hissed at him quietly. "I'm calm too Amy. Please stay calm."
"Ah. There you are." All For One suddenly spoke and everyone froze in terror thinking we'd all been discovered.
I heard a crash from the warehouse behind the wall we were all ducked behind. The sound of Dad's voice instantly brought me to tears. "I'll have you return my daughter and my student, All For One!"
Todoroki placed a hand over my mouth as I reflexively opened my mouth to call out to my Dad. Everyone braced themselves as we were struck with the resounding backlash of force from their collision. I managed to use my quirk to keep everyone in place.
It sounded like Dad got hurled away and All For One had created an escape route for the villains and Bakugo. Midoriya turned to look through a gap in the now crumbling wall, I spotted Bakugo being surrounded by the conscious villains. They were trying to take him by force.
"No." I winced. All the villains surrounding Bakugo were suddenly flung away from him.
Bakugo looked around hurriedly, "Amy?"
I struggled to stay conscious and try to help Bakugo, but my body was fighting back, trying to shut down and force me to take it easy. Midoriya gently hugged me against him. "We'll get him back, Amy. I promise. Try to stay calm." He turned his attention to Iida who was keeping a firm grip on Todoroki and Midoriya to keep them from doing anything rash. "Iida, listen."
"You can't fight. I won't let you." Iida said quietly.
"No, I think there's another way." Midoriya protested, "a way that won't involve any combat. That'll let us escape with him. Come on, we can still get Kacchan back."
"So long as it doesn't involve Amy." Todoroki spoke up. His mismatched gaze fell on me, his heterochromatic orbs filled with what looked like worry.
Midoriya nodded, "originally I thought it would be easier but, I think I found a way where we won't need to rely on her quirk." He hesitated, "the thing is, it's all going to depend on Kacchan...If I did the plan myself, I don't think it would work. So, Kirishima, you're the key to this being a success."
He explained his plan. First, Midoriya and Iida were going to propel themselves and Kirishima using One for All and Iida's reciproburst. Then Kirishima would use his hardening quirk to break through the crumbling wall creating an opening for Todoroki to create a slab of ice for them to slide up and over the battlefield. Then it was Kirishima's job to convince Bakugo to go with them. After a moment everyone agreed to the plan.
Midoriya handed me off to Yaoyorozu. My body felt like it was on fire again and I was only picking up on bits and pieces of their hushed conversation. I was trying to focus on them, Bakugo and my Dad all at once. Yaoyorozu knelt on the ground out of the way hugging me tightly against her. Everyone held their breath as they got into position to carry out their plan.
Yaoyorozu tensed as Midoriya, Iida and Kirishima burst through the wall into the battle. Todoroki reacted quickly creating a massive mountain of ice. They slid up the ice and propelled off the edge flying high through the sky. Kirishima extended his hand to Bakugo.
"We already have Amy! Come on!" Kirishima yelled.
There was a massive explosion as Bakugo must have activated his quirk. Todoroki breathed a sigh of relief before quickly picking me up and helping Yaoyorozu to her feet. "Come on, we need to get out of here."
"Right." Yaoyorozu responded shakily and they bolted to the opposite end of the alley away from the motionless Nomu.
I weakly gripped the front of Todoroki's shirt needing to feel something that would convince me this was real and not just a wishful dream my fever addled brain had concocted. He held me close as he ran. It didn't take long for us to get somewhere crowded.
"Shoto?" I heard a familiar angry voice that normally would have made me yelp in terror but for some reason, the angry number two hero, didn't scare me anymore. "What are yo-?" Endeavor's voice fell short as Todoroki and Yaoyorozu jumped and turned to face him. His eyes widened as they fell on me.
"Damn." He clenched his fists. "Give me the girl, you two get the hell out of here, now!"
For a moment, I felt Todoroki's grip on me tighten and I thought he might refuse but he gave me one quick squeeze before handing me over without protest. They both disappeared into the crowd and I felt my body start to go limp once I realized all of my friends were safely out of danger. My eyelids felt like they were weighed down by lead as Endeavor took off at a much faster pace.
"No longer afraid of me?" He asked quietly as he ran.
"...No...I met...real monsters..." I replied feebly.
