《Princess of Peace [BNHA]》Chapter Nineteen

The morning of the Sports Festival, I went to wake Amy up, surprised that she wasn't already awake and making breakfast, as usual. I stepped into her room and paused as I spotted her laying on her stomach in bed. She didn't usually lay on her stomach.
"Amy?" I called out to her softly but she didn't stir from her slumber. I moved closer and placed a hand on her back to shake her awake. The moment I applied any pressure she woke with a cry. Startled, I took a step back before I was overcome with worry, "Princess, what's wrong?"
Amy nervously chewed on her lower lip as she slowly sat up, "n-nothing, I'm okay."
Did she get hurt while she was training? "What happened?"
She lowered her gaze; I knew she didn't want me to worry and was trying to be brave and hide her pain. "I fell on the stairs, the other night."
"What?! Did you hit your head? Are you alright? When did this happen?" I fired off a rapid volley of questions and scrambled to her side.
She shook her head and looked to be beating herself up over something, "n-no, Shinso caught me and made sure I didn't hit my head."
Shinso? If that's another filthy boy...UNITED STATES OF SMASH! Ayumi's voice roared in the back of my mind. "Who's Shinso?" I asked warily.
"A boy from school." Amy replied softly.
TOSHINORI! Ayumi's voice went off in my head along with a slew of alarm bells. Great, another boy I had to worry about. NO BOYS! Ayumi raged inside my mind. "No boys!" I blurted before I could stop myself, more as a panicked agreement to the conjured voice of Ayumi in my head.
Amy jumped at my sudden outburst and withdrew into herself a little thinking she'd somehow let me down. "I'm sorry."
"Ah! No! That's not what I meant!" I panicked not wanting to upset her. It was too late, she thought I was angry with her for speaking to a boy when she knew I wasn't ready for boys. "Amy, it's okay." I wrapped her in my arms. Her petite frame tensed as my arm brushed against her back and I grimaced. Just how bad was it? "How bad is it?" I asked her worried.
"I-its just a bruise." She squeaked and shifted her night shirt a little so I could see it.
I felt my heart stutter in my chest, while she was right, it was just a bruise, it covered a good portion of her back and was so dark it was practically black. It looked pretty bad. It probably caused her a great deal of discomfort even when nothing was touching it. "Nothing feels broken?" I asked her to be sure.
She shook her head.
Seemed I owed this Shinso boy a thank you for protecting her, if she'd fallen hard enough to leave that kind of a mark no doubt had she hit her head she would have given herself a concussion, or worse. I kissed the top of her head, "alright, I'll leave it alone, but please tell me the next time you get hurt even if you think it's something little."
"I was worried you'd put me in a bubble." She admitted.
I couldn't help but chuckle at this, it wasn't like the thought hadn't crossed my mind. She was precious and I wanted her to be protected. "Only as a last resort."
She giggled softly at this and accepted the hand I offered her to help her out of bed. Her gaze fell on her UA gym uniform laid out atop her dresser and she blanched slightly.

"Princess, everything okay?" I asked her worried.
"Do I have to participate in the Sports Festival?" She asked nervously.
"Do you not want to?"
She bit her lip and shuffled her foot nervously, "isn't there fighting?"
"Ah. Well, yes..."
She looked up at me with big bright blue eyes. "I don't want to fight anybody."
I smiled, "unfortunately, I can't pull you out of it, but you don't have to fight anyone if you don't want to. Just try your best and be yourself. I'll be proud of you no matter what."
This didn't seem to reassure her too much but she offered me a small smile and gave me a quick nod. I retreated to the kitchen so she could change. After changing into her gym uniform, she stepped into the kitchen still looking a little anxious. She fiddled with her hair that she'd pulled into a somewhat messy side braid. It looked cute and like it was supposed to look that way but after watching her fidget with it nervously I had a feeling it was only a cute messy braid because of her nerves.
After breakfast we headed to UA together. I ended up making a somewhat dramatic entrance in my attempt to avoid the press as I didn't really want them attacking Amy in her current state. It probably wouldn't look great if she sent a bunch of reporters to space on accident. I swept her into my arms, phased into my hero form and leapt completely over the press blocking the entrance. Amy let out a cute squeal and I momentarily panicked as I realized I probably should have given her a little bit of notice before taking off. We landed just outside of the stadium in the middle of the main walkway where all the food stalls and merchandise stands were.
A few people turned to gawk as we landed. Amy panicked as a bunch of people turned our way. I noticed Endeavor not too far away, he appeared to be trying to talk to his son, they both turned at our arrival and Endeavor threw a scowl in our direction. Amy squirmed out of my hold and hid behind me as a bunch of fans scrambled forward.
"It's All Might!" The crowd cheered.
"Aw, and this must be the daughter we've heard rumors about." They chorused.
For a moment I was worried this would be too much. Amy surprised me by bowing politely. Though I knew she was internally panicking she managed to keep calm. She offered everyone a sweet smile that I was sure had just earned her some new fans.
"My heart, she really is like a princess." Someone in the crowd of onlookers swooned.
Oh great, more fanboys to add to the watch list. I chanced a glance at my watch and frowned, Amy would be late if we didn't make our exit. Her soft angelic voice nearly startled me as she spoke up. "Excuse me everyone, I don't mean to be rude, I have to meet up with my classmates and I fear I may be late." Her sweet words accompanied by another meek bow had them all smitten.
I groaned inwardly as the entire crowd of onlookers practically swooned at her words. She was too cute for her own good. The crowd parted so we could take our leave and everyone called after her wishing her luck.
"Nicely handled, Princess." I gave her a pat on the head as we broke away from the crowd. We made it to the faculty and student entrance.

Amy paused and her body stiffened slightly as if she were suddenly nervous. I followed her gaze and spotted a tall boy with unruly indigo hair and dark indigo eyes. He too was wearing the UA gym uniform. My gaze fell on a somewhat large bruise on his arm, I noticed that was where Amy was looking too and saw a look of guilt cross her face. She glanced up at me and hesitated.
"Friend of yours?" I asked her curiously.
"Ah...that's Shinso..." She lowered her head.
"Oh. I see." I cleared my throat, "should we go say hello?"
"Is that okay?" She asked nervously.
"Of course, it is. I want to have a word with him anyway." I smiled and moved toward the boy.
"Ah...what kind of word?" Amy blanched as she scrambled to keep up with me.
The boy turned our way as we approached and his eyes grew wide. "So, you must be young Shinso." I smiled. "Amy told me you helped her out the other night."
Amy blushed at my side looking embarrassed and attempted to hide.
Shinso looked momentarily uncomfortable and reached up to run his hand through his unruly indigo hair, "ah, it was nothing worth mentioning." He chanced a glance at Amy and his cheeks reddened slightly.
Punch him! Ayumi's voice sounded in the back of my mind. I can't do that; he didn't do anything wrong. I thought back with an inward groan. He's a boy and look at how he's looking at her! Punch him! Boys only think about ONE thing! I tried to block out Ayumi's internal tirade. "I still wanted to thank you for helping her."
"S-sure." He shuffled his feet nervously and lowered his gaze.
Toshinori, how do you think he got those bruises protecting her, do you realize how close they had to have been! Ayumi snarled in my mind. I thought about it for a moment and felt a sudden spark of rage as I realized she was right, in order for him to have gotten the bruises while making sure she didn't hit her head meant that he would have had to have been on top of her on the stairs. Something must have been revealed on my face as Amy threw me a worried look and Shinso took an uneasy step away.
"Dad?" Amy squeaked.
"Ah. Sorry, Princess, I'll be just over there." I smiled realizing she wanted to say something to the boy, I stepped away hurriedly before I accidentally listened to Ayumi and ended up punching the poor boy. I moved away and tried to pretend I wasn't spying on them, though that was undoubtedly what I was doing.
Amy bowed her head apologetically, "I'm sorry."
Shinso shook his head at this, a small smile twisted onto his lips and he flicked her on the head causing her to let out a cute squeal and place a hand to where he'd hit her. "Now, what are you apologizing for?"
"I didn't realize you got hurt, saving me." She looked guiltily at the bruise on his arm.
Shinso scoffed at this, "you worry too much, Princess Scaredy Cat. Besides, it was probably partially my fault you fell anyway, since I used my quirk on you."
UNITED STATES OF SMASH RIGHT TO HIS FACE! Ayumi raged.
"Amy! There you are! We were starting to worry about you!" Mina Ashido, one of Amy's classmates ran toward her and hooked her arm through Amy's. The other girls who'd all come to visit her followed along behind her and scowled at Shinso.
"You better not be bullying our friend again." Jiro growled.
Again?!
"A-ah! H-he wasn't b-bullying me." Amy squeaked.
"But he totally kidnapped you yesterday." Hagakure pointed.
"What?!" I couldn't hold back my voice at this, all of the first years jumped and I quickly pretended I was on my phone so as not to draw attention. KILL HIM! Ayumi's voice shrieked in my mind. That's a tad dramatic. I thought back.
"Kidnapped is a strong word." Shinso frowned.
"Well what on earth would you call it?!" Amy's friends snapped at him angrily.
Amy was panicking and trying to keep the peace between everyone. "Ah, guys, it was a misunderstandi-." She cut off as Shinso placed a hand on her head and her cheeks flushed with heat.
"You worry too much." He offered her a small smile before walking away casually with his hands in his pockets tired of the interrogation.
"Come on, Amy. We'll keep all the creeps away from you." Her friends smiled thinking they'd successfully chased off her bully.
I was torn between wanting to go make sure Amy was okay and wanting to chase down Shinso and interrogate him myself. I had a feeling if I did the latter, I'd lose my cool and it seemed like Amy had been trying to convince her friends it wasn't as bad as it had seemed. Regardless, if something had happened to appear that he'd kidnapped her, that was pretty bad and he had moved to number one on my 'keep away from Amy' list.
The festival was about to start. I hurriedly found a safe place to phase out of my hero form before going to find my seat. Present Mic was already fired up and getting the crowd amped as I found my seat with some of the other faculty members. They all greeted me politely and I took a seat next to Thirteen.
"How's Amy feeling?" Thirteen asked me.
"Pretty nervous." I sighed; in the end I hadn't really been able to do anything to make her feel better.
"I was a little worried about her too." Ectoplasm piped up from behind me. "She probably won't want to use her quirk offensively, so I'm worried people won't get to see what she's really capable of."
I smiled glad my peers all believed in her, "Yeah, you're probably right, but I just want her to try and have a good time."
Present Mic began introducing the different first year classes to the center stage. I felt my heart clench in my chest as Class 1A stepped onto the field. Amy looked nervous. Once all the first years had made it to the field, Midnight took the stage. I noticed Shinso in the general studies class, glancing in Amy's direction.
"Looks like Amy has some fans." Thirteen piped up beside me and pointed across the stadium.
I groaned as I saw a group of civilians in the stands with drawn posters of what I assumed was supposed to be Amy as a Disney Princess that read 'we're rooting for Princess Might'. "Oh no." UNITED STATES OF SMASH! I could practically feel Ayumi punching me in the gut as her voice echoed through my mind.
"I do not envy you, partner. It must be rough having a teenage daughter as likable as Amy is." Snipe chuckled two seats down from me.
I tried to ignore the fanboys in the stands and tuned back in as Midnight announced the first-year rep for the introductory speech, Katsuki Bakugo. My blood boiled as he pushed through his classmates to get to the front, Amy had been standing in front of him and he picked her up by the arms nearly giving her a heart attack in the process and set her down out of his way before marching up to the stage. That. Rotten. Punk. Take them all down, Toshinori!
Bakugo started speaking, "I just wanna say, I'm gonna win."
The other first year classes were in an uproar at his words. I noticed Amy flinch as some of the other classes shot them all glares and insults. Midnight took to the stage like nothing happened and announced the first game of the festival, an obstacle race around the outside of the stadium. I breathed a sigh of relief at least it wasn't something combat based. Amy looked a little less nervous when she saw what the first game was going to be.
All the first years went to take their starting places near the large tunnel that lead to the outside portion of the obstacle track. I noticed Amy standing back a little way from her peers. Young Midoriya approached her and I felt a sudden spark of rage as I saw a goofy fanboy smile light up his face as she wished him good luck. They were standing way too close for my liking. He appeared to have asked her to join him closer to the start but she politely refused and he reluctantly left her side. I was able to breathe a little easier when she on her own. Maybe I should have tried to find an all-girls Hero School to send her to, then maybe I wouldn't feel like punching a bunch of teenage boys all the time.
The race began and all of the first years charged forward. Amy stayed in place looking worried. Was she still nervous? The tunnel became jammed right away with students. There was a sudden wave of frost that swept over all the students. Amy gracefully moved out of the way of the ice that had trapped the majority of the students. Todoroki took the lead. Amy still hadn't moved any closer to the tunnel as she glanced around at all the other students trapped in the ice. Her bright blue eyes were filled with worry as it appeared like the ice was causing pain and discomfort to those trapped within it. More of her classmates began catching up to Todoroki able to easily maneuver out of his ice as if they'd all seen it coming.
Amy took a deep breath and slowly reached her hand out toward the ice trapping all of the students not seeming to mind that all of her classmates were racing through the course. I watched in awe as she slowly balled her hand into a fist. All of the ice keeping all the students trapped crunched into soft fluffy snow and all the students were free. I couldn't help but smile as I saw her offer a fallen student a hand up.
"That's my girl." I beamed with pride. Even though it was a competition she was putting everyone else above herself and making sure no one got left behind or injured.
"Perhaps not the best approach to a competition." Ectoplasm chuckled, "but it seems people took notice." Some people in the crowd were trying to figure out how she'd done it and commending her on helping everyone out.
"Here we have class 1A's sweetest student, Amelia Takada, though I call her Princess Might...Uh, hey, Princess Might, you are aware this is a race, right?" Present Mic's voice echoed through the stadium causing Amy to blush. She replied with an innocent smile and a cute shrug of her shoulders causing many in the crowd to swoon. Great, more fans. "Too cute." Present Mic's voice echoed the fans and I groaned again.
After Amy and all the students disappeared from the arena, I frantically checked the screens all around the stadium hoping to see her. She managed to reach the first obstacle just as Todoroki pulled ahead again freezing a massive robot in a way that it would tip. More students tried to run after him not realizing how precarious the robot was. The crowd began to panic as the robot started to fall as three students tried to run past it. I held my breath and watched the screen as Amy reacted before anyone else casting her hand outward. Her quirk seemed much more controlled than usual the massive robot began to crunch inward as if it were being gripped in giant hands and hovered in the air allowing the students to pass underneath unharmed.
I felt my heart skip a beat in my chest, that robot was easily bigger than most houses and she was keeping it suspended with her quirk like it was nothing. Just how strong was Amy's quirk?
"Another amazing save from Princess Might." Present Mic's voice echoed through the stadium, "seriously though, I'm not sure she understands how races work but it's adorable." The crowd was in agreement at this.
"Goodness, partner, I'd lock her away as soon as possible if I were you." Snipe chuckled as Amy's fan club grew.
Could I do that? Was that an option?

Sorcery in Boston
The timid daughter of some of the greatest spellcasters ever to have lived has found herself in another world, courtesy of magic gone awry. In Boston, Massachusetts, in the year 1935, she finds some kind souls in a hard era. In the heart of the Great Depression, as war looms around the corner, she seeks to find her place, and must come to terms with both who she is and what she truly desires. Author's Notes: Release Note: I recently realized what the hold up is. My current mental state is not compatible with the planned ending. If I wrote the ending according to what currently feels right, it will be a wretched, cruel ending that feels monstrously unfair and invalidates the work of the various characters... because that's how my life feels at the moment. The planned ending is coming out hollow and awkward, no matter how I write it, and so I've been bashing my head. I will finish it, once I manage to either brute force something decent out, or once my head gets screwed on straight. Audience: This story is not for young children - it contains some profanity, sexual content, violence, gore, and significant adult themes. Most of these are handled delicately enough not to upset teens or adults (hopefully), hence the lack of relevant tags, but it is nonetheless unsuitable for youth. It's fairly slow paced, and focused on the development of very human, very flawed individuals. Length / Completion Estimates: The outline currently involves two books. Book 1 is expected to be done with Chapter 43. It'll probably be completely finished by sometime in March of this year. I expect to move on to the far-more-lighthearted Of Gods and Dungeons (currently in progress / on hiatus). Afterwards, I may decide to redo Book 1, or write Book 2, or actually start sharing the story most dear to me, that I've been working on for several years now. Draft 1: Please be aware that this is first draft material. I do intend to come back to do a second draft after the story is complete. If anyone notices any issues whatsoever with the story, please let me know (pm, etc) so that I can improve the second draft. Writer's Pledge: I've taken the Writer's Pledge, meaning I'm commiting to completing this story. I'm a proud member of WriTE, a group dedicated to finishing stories. It will be done! Behind the Scenes notes: This picture was commissioned from an inked artist by the name of DanP. Up until the time of the protagonist's arrival, history has proceeded as before. Some places and characters have been borrowed from wikipedia entries of interesting figures from the time. I will make note in the chapter comments when such things come up. Naturally, I've taken a great deal of liberty with them. In interest of respecting individuals, I've either attempted to portray them as accurately as possible, or modified them sufficiently enough that they're simply an inspiration, instead of a real portrayal. I've attempted to be as accurate to the era as possible, but I'm not a historian. If you're aware of inaccuracies, please, bring them to my attention so that I can correct them.

The Gods are dead As they bled dry, so did the magic which gave them birth. In the new era of technology, its pathetic remnants must hide in the shadows or be locked away. In the ancient era of magic two beings often stood out: Galileo, an immortal scholar obsessed with knowledge and Angelica, the most loyal servant of the greatest among the now dead Gods. But why are they worthy of mention? Because after millennia of isolation, the two emerge in the new world beyond their reckoning. The entire story is told from the third person, however, each chapter will be told from the perspective of only one of the characters. This will be signified by the first letter of their names after the chapter number to avoid confusion. I submitted this fiction as a [participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] as well as a participant in National Novel Writing Month. The original challenge had been to finish this entire faction within the month of November reaching the 55.5k word minimum. This goal had been achieved. I do not own the cover picture
8 230IT'S NOT ABOUT DESTINY
This is a story like you've never read before. A story about emotions, idiocy and revenge. This is IT'S NOT ABOUT DESTINY.
8 204Magus Gravity
This is about a person who is summoned to a world to be a hero and save the human race from the demons, clich stuff, he will then make decisions that affect all of those around him(I think this is original). Also, he will not get all the """"females"""" out there in the other world and make a big harem that symbolizes how woman are treated as objects. Remember that this story is something I would like to read, and frankly most of the royal road stories are too damn lusty and filled with porn. But there will be some romance here and there since people get married and I need to talk about that too, so that is classed as romance right?
