《Princess of Peace [BNHA]》Chapter Seventeen

It was nearly 24 hours before Amy regained consciousness. Her quirk was too much for her to control when she was under duress. When she finally regained consciousness Friday afternoon she was exhibiting flu like symptoms her body was weak and she had a fever off and on throughout the day. Despite how sickly and weak she felt all she was concerned about was the wellbeing of her classmates and teachers. Once I reassured her, they were all okay, she became concerned that she'd hurt someone with her quirk and nearly had a meltdown. I told her everything was fine; I didn't want her worrying over anything. There had only been one villain who'd appeared to have gone flying out of a building who'd been injured enough for any medical treatment and was currently lying in the prison infirmary with a few broken bones. The creature that had attacked me was able to regenerate, so the damage she'd done to it had all been mended.

She spent all day Friday in bed drifting in and out of fever dreams. Naomasa stopped by throughout the day to keep me posted about the investigation on the villains that had attacked the USJ and to check in on Amy's condition. Makoto tagged along and shooed me away telling me to go get some sleep as I'd been sitting at Amy's bedside all night and day.

I'd managed to get a few hours of rest thanks to Makoto tending to Amy and returned to my post late Friday evening. At some point in the night I'd dozed off at her bedside and woke up the next morning to find my head resting against the side of her bed. I sat up with a start and looked to Amy's sleeping form. I breathed a sigh of relief as I noticed she appeared to be sleeping soundly. Her skin wasn't as lifelessly pale as it had been, she had some of her color back and appeared to be breathing easy and showed no sign of fever.

Her bright blue eyes fluttered open. She seemed alarmed to find herself in her bed but relaxed when she spotted me. I placed a hand to her forehead to make sure she didn't have a fever and felt all the worry that had been draining me finally catch up as my body sagged with relief, her fever was completely gone.

"How are you feeling, Princess?" I asked her with a smile.

"I feel okay." She tried to sit up but I placed a hand on her shoulder and stopped her.

"I want you to keep resting for today."

She glanced over at me sitting uncomfortably on the floor and concern filled her bright blue eyes, "can I rest in the living room?"

I couldn't help but smile as I realized it was so I would also be comfortable. "Alright." I reached for a warm fleece blanket at the foot of her bed before pulling back the covers and wrapping the soft blanket around her.

She tried to protest as I scooped her up into my arms and carried her into the living room. "Ah! But what about your injuries?"

"I'm alright, Princess." I offered her a reassuring smile as I set her down on the sofa before running back to her room to get her some pillows, a plushie and an extra blanket. When I returned, I tucked the plushie under her arm, and placed the pillows under her head and around her so she was propped up comfortably.

"Dad." Amy smiled and caught my hand in hers before I could rush off in search of something else, I thought she needed. "I'm okay...really."

I squeezed her hand tightly in mine and bowed my head letting out a deep sigh. "Sorry. Am I going, overboard?"

She bit her lip not wanting to hurt my feelings before shaking her head and smiling brightly, "it's okay."

"Sorry, Princess...I don't think I have any other settings when it comes to you, I think it's always going to be overboard." I sighed.

Amy giggled softly at this, "that's okay. Mom was the same way." Sorrow flooded her bright blue eyes as she thought about her mother. It made my heart hurt to see her like this, I had to think of something, anything, to cheer her up.

"There's a TV series those pony movies are based on!" I blurted and reached for the remote.

Amy looked over at me curiously before giggling again. There were tears welling in her eyes but she blinked them back and put on a smile. I knew she was doing it for my benefit. I squeezed onto the sofa at her feet and propped them up on my lap so I could stay close to her as we watched the show.

After a few episodes, Amy had drifted back to sleep hugging her plush pony tightly against her. There was a knock at the door and I groaned inwardly as Amy jumped from the sudden sound and her eyes fluttered open again. I reluctantly left her side and went to see who was at the door. Naomasa usually called before coming over, Makoto would have too knowing Amy was still weak and tired. Bending forward I peered through the peephole and was surprised to see a handful of Amy's classmates on our doorstep. All the girls from Class 1A had shown up.

I didn't have much time in my hero form, after the fight at the USJ my time got cut again. I phased into my hero form and opened the door greeting them with a smile. "What a pleasant surprise. What brings you young heroes in training here?"

"Good Afternoon All Might." Yaoyorozu, a young lady with dark hair that came from a very wealthy family, smiled politely, "we were all worried about Amy and wanted to check on how she's doing."

I looked to the gaggle of teenage girls from Class 1A on my doorstep and hesitated wondering if Amy wanted company and if I should ask her and if it would be rude for me to leave them all out here to ask her. Would that look strange? What was I supposed to do? Sighing inwardly, I smiled at the girls and stepped aside, "come on in. Amy's resting in the living room."

The girls followed me inside and I felt a moment of panic as I remembered Amy not getting along well with girls her age back in the states. She didn't mention any friends she'd made. Was this a bad idea? Nervously, I led the girls to the living room. Amy was right where I'd left her, in her frilly princess pajamas, wrapped in a fleece blanket sprinkled with animated castles, tiaras and ponies and hugging her plush pony, I'd gotten her.

"So cute!" Ashido squealed upon spotting Amy on the couch causing Amy's pale cheeks to burn with embarrassment.

"Some friends are here to see you, Princess." I looked to her, worried, praying she wouldn't be upset.

Amy looked a little nervous and uncomfortable, her cheeks were still a little flushed but she managed to smile at her classmates. "What are you guys doing here?" She asked curiously.

"We were worried about you." Asui replied.

"How are you feeling?" Yaoyorozu asked.

"O-oh. I'm feeling much better." Amy blushed again, "I-I'm sorry for worrying everyone." She really was too cute, good thing there weren't any boys around.

I didn't know what to do. I stood awkwardly at the edge of the living room not sure what to do or how to handle the gaggle of teenage girls. Did Amy want them to stay? Was I supposed to do anything? Did they need permission slips to be here? I was starting to panic internally.

Uraraka noticed the TV paused on the childish pony show and smiled, "oh, this show is adorable!" The other girls looked as if they weren't exactly thrilled about the show but smiled and were willing to give it a chance.

Amy started to relax a little and smiled. I breathed a sigh of relief, at least I knew it was okay that I'd invited them in. Noticing I was still panicking Amy turned to me, "Dad, am I allowed to get up and make tea for our guests?"

Tea! Guests! I understood the code words! They were staying and tea was needed. "Nope, stay put, Princess, I can make tea." I grinned before dashing to the kitchen. Hurriedly, I texted Naomasa as I wasn't sure how long our guests were staying and knew I didn't have a lot of time in my hero form.

T: There's a bunch of teenagers in my house, what do I do?!

N: Vandals? Or does Amy have friends over?

T: Friends....vandals I can handle, teenage girls, not so much

N: I'm sending in an expert for backup

What did he mean by that? As I finished preparing the tea, I heard another knock on the door and went to see who it was. I spotted Makoto on the doorstep and hurriedly opened the door. She took one look at my face and cracked a grin.

"Teenage girls?"

I nodded.

"A lot of them?"

Another nod.

She giggled, "I got this."

I returned to the living room with a tray of tea and some snacks that Makoto had brought with her and Makoto followed along behind me. The girls had settled into the living room each claiming a spot to sit on the few small sofas. I caught part of their conversation as I stepped into the living room with Makoto at my heels.

"We were all scared something awful had happened to you when we saw Todoroki carrying you-." Hagakure piped up.

"W-what?" Amy squeaked looking terrified.

"Is she blushing?" Jiro snickered.

"Definitely." The others giggled.

"Ah! I am n-not." Amy's face was a bright shade of red.

TOSHINORI! NO BOYS! Ayumi's voice raged in the back of my mind. I cleared my throat causing all the girls to look over.

Amy noticed Makoto, "Makoto?"

Makoto smiled, "I wanted to check in and see how you were doing today but since it looks like we're having a girl's day, lets talk boys." She grinned and sidled on the couch next to Amy causing all the other girls to laugh as Amy blushed more.

"B-Boys?!" I nearly dropped the tray in my hands as I set the tray on the table and tried my best not to choke on my words.

Amy threw a worried look in my direction, she'd noticed my fumble. Makoto held back a laugh and the students turned to look at me curiously. I awkwardly cleared my throat trying to cover for my earlier outburst.

"Ah, that's my cue to leave." I paused and looked to Amy to make sure she was okay.

She offered me a small reassuring smile. I retreated to my room so I could drop out of my hero form. It didn't take long before the sounds of girlish giggles filled the living room. I busied myself by looking over the police reports and the information of what the police had discovered so far about The League of Villains. Though Amy hadn't said anything about it, young Midoriya informed me they'd been targeting her to get to me. That made them a priority target.

After over an hour of sifting through police files and notes, I wasn't any closer to finding anything out and it sounded like all the giggling had died down in the living room. I shifted back into my muscular form and stepped out of my bedroom. The girls were all watching the pony cartoon, even the ones who didn't seem thrilled about the idea and they all seemed to be having a good time. I chanced a glance at Amy, she looked happy.

Makoto glanced over and noticed me spying. She smiled and gave me a thumbs up. Everything was going well and it looked like Amy had finally started to make some friends. I retreated back to my room to let them continue their fun and breathed a sigh of relief. I could almost see Ayumi smiling, she'd wished Amy could make some friends, and it seemed like that wish had come true.
