《Fierrochase One Shots》Happy Birthday?

Alex (M)
What Sam told me was a total surprise, it was Magnus' birthday. He hadn't told anyone, not even his own boyfriend (usually girlfriend depending on the day).
I stormed right to his room and knocked, after three times of my knocking he finally opened the door. I tackle hugged him (making Magnus screech like a kid) closing the door behind me with my foot.
"You little fucker, tell me important dates!" I groaned.
Magnus sighed, covering his face slightly "Sorry, okay? I just, I feel like it's stupid for me to have any celebration when I'm not even getting any older."
I lifted my head up, seeing Maggie's pretty hair sprawled out on the ground.
"I want to celebrate. What do you want, I'll give you anything," I said, slowly standing and helping him up.
"Anything?" He asked in a low tone.
"Anything."
I was starting to question my decision about saying anything.
"Kiss me," he whispered, slowly backing me into his side wall.
God damn that went from zero to one hundred hella quick.
I smirked up at him, wrapping my arms around his waist "Alright Beantown."
Our faces slowly got closer and closer, his breath was hot against my mouth. I closed the distance and kissed him deeply, my tongue tracing around in his mouth.
We had kissed before, little smooches, most of the time not on the mouth, but never like that. The kiss was warm and needy, I could literally feel the heat Magnus gave off from glowing.
"Love, you're glowing," I giggled, breaking away for a moment.
He smiled and kissed me a little again "I'm just happy."
That was a quick change in his mood, at least it was a positive one.
"I think I love you," he whispered, so close to my ear that I felt his lips.

"Gods, Maggie, I love you too," I muttered, almost inaudibly.
His lips moved to my neck and his hands to the small of my back.
"I should be doing this to you, it's your birthday," I whispered.
"Then do it," he said after a moment.
I couldn't comfortably reach him without him bending down, so I sat him on the edge of his bed and slowly pushed him back. He was surprisingly calm, though he was still glowing a bit.
I kissed his jawline while running my fingers through his hair, it was so soft.
He moved into each kiss, slowly letting his hand grip my back.
"Magnus," someone called, the door flew open and Blitzen was standing in the doorway.
"Oh, by the gods Magnus! Lock the door!" Blitz yelled in frustration.
He closed the door and Magnus and I broke apart laughing.
"That like, the closest you can get to a parent walking in on you making out," I giggled.
He hugged me and smiled bright "I don't think that's all he thought we were doing."
Both of us flushed red and I started laughing again.
"You-you should probably go clear that up with your honorary dads," I said through the giggles.
"Heh, true. Come on, let's go," he said, standing up and extending a hand.
I grabbed his hand and didn't let go.
We walked out of his room and to the main dining hall. Blitz and Hearth were sitting next to each other signing a little.
"Blitz!" Magnus called out.
Blitzed turned around and frowned at Magnus and I "Did I interrupt something important earlier?"
Magnus shrugged "Just us kissing."
Hearth smiled hey, that's important sometimes.
"Hearth don't encourage them. Anyways, we got you something for your birthday Magnus," Blitz sighed.

Hearth took something from his pocket, a small jewelry box.
He opened it to reveal a silver and iron ring with a few tunes carved into it.
"A contacting ring, Hearth and I have the other two. Just tap it and it'll call us. This way we can talk whenever we want to," Blitz sighed.
Blitz designed them, I did the magic. You like it? Hearth signed.
"Yeah," Magnus said and signed.
He hugged both of them tightly.
"Thanks so much you guys, I love you," he said quietly after breaking away.
We love you too. Hearthstone signed with tears in his eyes.
Magnus later said that it was his best birthday ever.

Awakening
A potent tale of self-discovery. Centuries ago, the prophetic Golden Age ended in war, and history spiraled into darkness... Now, only scholars retain the last portent of the mythic city A'lara, concealed in a distant glade for the advent of the dragon mage. At the edge of the Known World, the slave Larin escapes her new lord before she meets his dark masters. Deep in the mountains, the legendary elf Kingard awaits his call to battle. When young Darek flees imperial mages tasked to exterminate shape-shifters, he launches them all on a voyage to redeem their unsought destiny. United by fate and guided by prophesy, their growing band of fugitives journey for A'lara to fight the ancient evil infiltrating the capital. But looming over the gears of fate, their enemies follow the same prophesies. With the unknown close upon them, Kingard and his allies face a mortal quest to restore their infected empire. Praise for Awakening: If you love Anne McCaffrey, J.R.R. Tolkien and Tad Williams, then Awakening is a novel you will surely want to pick up. D.N.Frost is a consummate world-builder with a knack for creating characters that are complex and three-dimensional. Frost writes with graceful prose that is descriptive and well-edited. The plot is fast-paced and entertaining. What really sets this novel apart is the cartography, which is a spectacular accomplishment. Incredible world-building! - M.L. Spencer, author of The Rhenwars Saga ★★★★★ This novel was published in 2014, and it includes 19 antique watercolor maps! Check them out: Maps of Awakening: an atlas directory

Demon Hunters
Far in the future, the last two viable cities in the western hemisphere – Technoburbia and New Baravia – struggle for control over a vast and largely desolate land. Officially they are at war. In practice, the war has been a stalemate for a generation, the disputed frontier between the two city-states never moving. In the city of New Baravia itself, a vast circular concrete wall keeps its inhabitants in, and its refugees out. For its citizens, life is monotonous and unequal, with enormous wealth in the hands of nobles, criminal gangs, and entertainment bosses. It is the last of these that control the hit entertainment show, “Demon Hunters”. A chance, perhaps, for the ordinary man or woman to rise up, and change their fate... This LitRPG novella is based around a futuristic battle-royale situation, partly set in VR, and partly in a post-apocalyptic city. The story features combat and action, some strong language, and lots of great characters that will stick with you! [participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge]
