《Junoesque ✿George Weasley✿》97.

The two met in an embrace and squeezed each other for as long as they could. Arthur was able to disarm the other Death Eater and give the two a moment before he sent the man over the window pane and falling to a rocky end. The corridor was free from duelling momentarily but there was no shortage of bodies that hadn't been as lucky as the Weasleys and Blair. The two knew that it wasn't the time to be sentimental and say how much they had missed each other during their separation, but allowed themselves a second to indulge in each other's arms. Blair nose buried itself into George's shoulder and George reminisced in the feeling of having her body against his again.
"Where the hell have you been?" he sighed before pulling away, looking down at her already soot-covered clothes and minor cuts to her cheek.
"Doesn't matter. I finished it," she held up the bottle again and George took the time to look over it.
"It works?"
She shook her head but gave him a hopeful look, showing that many lives depended on it being successful. George gulped and went to open his mouth again, when Arthur's body suddenly crashed into theirs'. They stumbled into the corridor's wall and held each other as they winced at the ache that formed in their shoulders. Looking away from the one another for the first time since reuniting, they turned to see an enormous giant sneering at them from above. The giant wore dirty rags and had misshapen features to show its odd growth pattern, but the addition of the huge over-sized jagged sword in its hand caused the most worry in the three magic folk.
Blair and George realised that Arthur had tackled them out of the sword's path where it had planned to clean cut them into pieces. But the giant didn't let this faze him because he continued to swing his large sword over their heads. The three gulped and held out their wands, firing spells up at the ten feet tall creature that grunted down at them.
They spread out across the corridor and began to fire spells from all directions, moving around to confuse the beast and make it harder for them to meet the edge of his sword. Blair concentrated on firing the Incendio charm up at the giant's most vulnerable place; its face. Keeping her lips sealed to avoid giving it time to shield itself, a stream of fire flowed out of her wand and licked at the giant's skin. It screamed and attempted to use its sword to shield the fire, but already had it's skin raw and peeling away from the muscle.
"Incacerous!" Arthur's voice was heard over the giant's screaming and Blair saw ropes fly over the bulbous body. She ran down the corridor to be out of the fall's path and saw Arthur and George doing the same. The ropes had a mind of their own as they wrapped around the giant's neck, arms, legs and torso. It tried to pull the ropes with its giant hands that could crush a human's body with a light squeeze, but found that they only tightened and cut into its skin the more he tugged at them.
With a final attempt to get to them, the giant stumbled towards the three and reached out to grab at least one of their fragile bodies. But George fired a powerful stunning curse and sent it back down the corridor. A loud thud and a crumble of the ceiling came from the giant colliding with the back wall and the three breathed a sigh of relief. The giant slumped against the corridor with blood leaking from its matted hair and left the three at peace.

"That was barbaric," Blair said in a sigh, wiping at her forehead.
"It's not over yet," Arthur spoke up, his tone still tense and in a state of panic. "The Entrance Hall is probably at its worse. Let's head over there."
"I'm going to see if there's anyone that needs this," Blair spoke up while holding up her potion. "I could save them."
"You're not coming with us?" George looked at her with sad eyes. After seeing her for the first time in five months, he wanted to keep her by his side for the rest of the battle. It would be too much for him being unaware of where she was or if she was even alive.
"I'll come find you afterwards. I need to know if this works, George," she heard an explosion in the distance and the corridor around them shook, debris falling to the broken tiled floor. George pressed his lips together and could see the desperation and determination in Blair's eyes. There could be those who had just recently been killed but could be revived to their full strength. It would be selfish of him to keep her close and prevent her from saving those who didn't need or have to die.
"Promise me you'll be okay," he strained, taking her hand into his. "We still need to get married, remember?"
Blair's heart ached at his words. There was a strong possibility that this would be the last time they'd see each other. She felt his thumb run over her knuckles before coming in contact with her engagement ring. They still hadn't had the chance to officially have their marriage ceremony. She hadn't even thought about it up until this point. But realising that either of them could disappear before they could get married terrified her.
"I promise..." she whispered.
"Come on, George. We should go," Arthur said quietly, not wanting to break up their moment but uncomfortable with being so open in the corridor. The explosions from inside the castle were getting louder and it would be unwise to stay in one place for too long with a giant slumped against the wall.
George stared down at Blair. He took in all her features. She was still the girl he fell in love with and couldn't imagine living without her. He trusted her and knew she was a powerful witch. She could take care of herself and he told himself she would be fine. She would be fine without him. He would be fine without her... right?
"I love you," he blurted and brought her hand up to his lips, kissing her ring before doing the same to her knuckles. "I do. I really do."
"I love you too," she said back, giving him a watery smile. "Please me safe..."
Blair was the first to turn away and let her fingers slip out of George's hand. Her soft finger tips left his palm tingling and he watched as she turned away, heading down the corridor and towards the corner. He heard his father's footsteps heading for the Entrance Hall and it made him do the same, his steps reluctant and wanting to follow after Blair instead. Looking over his shoulder, he saw Blair turn the corner and disappear from sight. A deep pain was rooted in his chest when he saw the ends of her flowing hair disappear behind a pillar and the corridor was left empty. Looking down at his feet, he followed his father out and away from his love.

Blair decided to head for the Astronomy tower first. It was where the Ravenclaw common room was near and the sense of nostalgia drew her towards the specific part of the castle. It was painful to see the walls and statues around her broken and torn apart by spells from careless Death Eaters. She was wary when turning corners in case of any ambushes and made sure to keep her wand out in front of her. A sick feeling was in her stomach at the idea of searching around the castle for the dead in order to prove her potion effective. She had to remind herself that she could save lives tonight.
Turning another corner, the moon that could be seen through the glass-less windows shown on a figure on the floor. Blair gulped and recognised the dark grey jumper of the Hogwarts uniform and the burgundy and gold tie that represented Gryffindor. She stepped closer and saw the purple bow clipped in the person's curly hair and the vacant eyes that stared through her. This was Lavender Brown.
Shakily getting to her knees, Blair's skin paled at the sight of the dead seventh year. She only knew Lavender because of her love for Ron in the past year. Because of that, she had the connotation of being annoying, clingy and obsessive. But all of that faded away when Blair saw her lifeless eyes. There were no scars or injuries on the girl's body, meaning she must have been killed by the killing curse. Tears welled up in Blair's eyes despite never talking to the girl and Blair couldn't keep her hands from shaking.
She found the strength to uncork the bottle that was in her hand and breathe out a loud sigh in preparation. Lavender's head was slanting to the side with the loosening of muscles in her neck and Blair had to turn it so that she could swallow properly. Putting the bottle to her lips, she shakily let the consistency trickle down and into her mouth. As smoothly as she could, she held the bottle carefully and prayed that it went down Lavender's throat and not pooling in her mouth.
Now Blair could only wait.
Blair planned to stay beside Lavender until she saw some sort of movement. She would sit in silence and anticipation until she knew her potion worked. But the loud animal-like growl made this difficult. She jumped up from the floor and saw the shadows of the hallway reveal the culprit. Fenrir Greyback grinned his sharp canines at the young girl and eyed the still body behind her.
"A full course meal for me?" the man's words were laced with growls and sneers. His beady eyes practically ate up Blair and Lavender's dead body. "It must be my lucky day."
Whipping out her wand, Blair stood in front of Lavender in a protective stance. Greyback grinned wider at her attempt and took slow steps towards her. Voldemort had never given him a wand because of his cross breeding, but the man was powerful and evil. The werewolf targeted children and liked to rip away their necks for their meat and blood. Blair remembered the intense bruises he was responsible for that lined her neck for weeks. His greasy hair and jagged, sharp teeth made her nervous and the sight of his sharp claws made the pain somehow return to the skin around her jugular. If she wasn't shaking before, she was shaking like a leaf now.
"Why don't you put that stick down and let me have a nibble, hm?" he suggested. Blair fired a petrifying curse but was amazed to see him standing tall and unaffected. Her forehead creased in confusion and she shot another jinx, watching it bounce of his chest and hit the wall next to him.
"Nice try, Rosier," Greyback chuckled.
Blair couldn't figure out why her spells weren't working. It was if he had a wand she couldn't see and was blocking them without moving at all. In sheer panic, she sent as many spells as she could think of towards the werewolf. Each one of them bounced off and disintegrated when they fell to the ground next to his feet. He even walked through her Incendio charm without a single burn. He was now four metres away and was seconds from swiping his claws and digging them into her face.
In a panicked attempt, Blair sent a Reductor curse square into his chest. A sudden grunt left his near foaming mouth and his feet skid across the floor from the force of the spell. This is when Blair realised that he had a form of shield put over him by a fellow Death Eater. They knew he would be at a disadvantage while not being able to use a wand, so they had made an invisible, magical suit of armour that would allow him to get close enough to people to rip their faces of. But all shielding spells could be broken when hit with enough force.
Greyback knew that she had figured it out and stopped his evil grinning. He started to stomp towards her faster this time with his claws ready to spill her blood over the floor. Blair thought of the most powerful of spells she knew and begun to cast them one after another. Instead of bouncing off of his animal-like body, Greyback began to slow and stumble from his stern and determined staunch. Blair's chest felt weighed down from not only the fear of him getting closer, but the thought of actually beating the werewolf.
Putting all of her strength and power into her wand, she fired an Imobulus charm with a cry of the spell's name. Crying out the spell helped her shoot the charm and she watched as Greyback froze in his place; still and terrifyingly within arm's reach of her. Blair let out a breathe of air that she hadn't realised she had been holding and fired a Reductor curse, sending the frozen body out of the corridor and crashing through the wall. A gaping hole was left and the werewolf was gone, falling to his death once and for all.

I Was Reincarnated as Someone's Mana??
My name is Magnus Karlsson, and by a series of rather unfortunate events that I had absolutely no say in, I was killed and reincarnated. In this story, you will follow Magnus as he tries his very best to survive in a world that's been thrown into chaos, together with the man whose mana he is, Allan Woodsworth. Well, not a man per se, more of a little boy who has no idea what the fuck is going on, but, you know... I'm sure it'll be fine. Nothing bad will happen to the pair. Nope. No abandoned kids here. Anyhow. The world that Magnus has been thrown into is one perversed by the will of a great mage who, three thousand years ago, decided that it would be a great idea to infuse all the people of the earth with so-called "orbs". These magical crystals allow their handler to control and generate mana, which they can then use to become mages. Most barely use them, since the mana cost of doing such a little thing as a fireball spell is absolutely ridiculous. Said mage, Theodore Cromwell, Magnus used his resources to infuse not only humans with orbs, but animals as well, giving rise to what the mage community calls "horrid perversions of nature", but what the common folk calls "monsters". Orbs can be used for much, and it is through orbs that people keep track on their level of mana and such, and destroying the orb of a monster is A, the only way to kill it and B, a good way to absorb extra mana and raise ones level. It is such an orb that Magnus has been tranformed into. ------ To those that care, I'm very sorry about the title, it's just that, well, it's very good to be blunt about isekais like this since people such as myself search precisely for this, so having super-serious names like "The Magnus of the World of Orbs" would turn people wanting a simple and fun isekai off. I hope you give this story a fair chance! ------ Edit: IWRASM now has a deviantart page!!! https://www.deviantart.com/thefunartcorner
