While the school term resumed on September 1st, Blair was indulging in the privilege of being an adult. This meant sleeping in past eight o'clock and not even stirring until at least ten thirty in the morning. She woke up to the white ceiling that had been plastered with smiling cat stickers, which had been George's way of trying to get Blair to feel comfortable in a new house and new room. She smiled sleepily at the adorable feline faces before turning her head to see the left side of the covers pulled neatly into place but absent of its designated warmth bag. George had been up early in order to open the shop with Fred and had started taking the curtsey of making his side of the bed. It was his way of showing Blair that he was capable of keeping the flat tidy, but it was a futile attempt as the rest of the room had been let in a state of chaos.

Blair sat up and eyed the many items of clothing that were spewed across the floor and hanging out of their shared wardrobe in the corner. She supposed that she wouldn't be able to change his ways completely and there was always the option of moving into the spare room, which was initially meant to be hers anyway. But she had become so comfortable and content with sleeping in the same king-sized bed as George, that changing any of it would seem like moving into a new place all over again.

Swinging her legs to the side, she stood up from the mattress and stretched her arms above her head. Hearing a satisfying crack, she started making her way towards the wardrobe, when the softness of fur brushed against her legs and a loud meow reached her ears.

"Did the boys forget to feed you again?" she asked and got no answer, only Jasper's yellow eyes staring up at her with his tail high in the air. Blair sighed and pulled on the sweater Molly gave her for Christmas and headed towards the kitchen.

Jasper followed her down the hall and meowed constantly at his owner. He had been locked out of her and George's room all night (Fred set strict rules for Jasper to stay out of the bedrooms at night, so that he didn't get into the habit of walking in whenever he felt like it. This was mostly just for the fear of Fred going to bed one day and getting a nasty scratch from the feline hiding under his covers) and wanted affection as well as his breakfast. He had pestered the twins when they exited their rooms and had been left with his bowl empty by the time they rushed out of the flat from waking up late.

"There you go," Blair said aloud as she lowered Jasper's bowl to the ground, letting him dive into his wet food that he had been anticipating for hours now.

Blair made her own breakfast and sat down at the kitchen counter, wondering what downstairs was like today. With the kids now back at school, there would be the possibility of sales decreasing from the lack of foot traffic. But the twins had been talking about setting up their postal service again, which is what they did at the end of last year's school year after they flew off into the sky on their brooms. This allowed Umbridge and her Slytherins to be tormented without the Weasleys even being in sight. If they were to continue this sales strategy, kids at Hogwarts will always have access to their favourite joke products.

When the two finished their food, Jasper followed after Blair back towards her shared bedroom. Today, she would be meeting up with Poppy, Mina and Nancy. She had sent them letters throughout the summer to apologise for her sudden disappearance and wanted to stay friends outside of Hogwarts. The three had probably completed their education and done their exams, so she wanted to hear that they were now pursuing as fully fledged adult witches.

Blair pulled on her signature black clothing while Jasper sat on the window sill that overlooked Diagon Alley below. She grabbed the Amethyst necklace that George had given her at the Yule Ball and hung it around her neck, letting it fall against her black shirt. Just to be a little different, she pulled on her blue denim jacket. It was the only thing she owned that wasn't black and she liked to wear it when she was feeling adventurous.

Jasper watched her grab her things and slip her wand into her shoe, before heading towards the door of the flat. The twins were smart enough to put an imperturable charm over their floorboards and door, making all the noises from the shop become silent and not nearly as loud as it was downstairs. The noise hit like a splash of water once she opened the door and was greeted with an equally as busy shop as it was yesterday. She locked the door behind her and descended the stairs into the crowd that had collected around all of the shelves and displays. She used the height of the stairs to look over the heads of customers and saw that Fred was restocking the Wildfire Whizbang display, while George was behind the cash register.

Shuffling through the crowd, Blair slipped behind the counter and took her place next to George. She would loved to have gloated about having a day off while he didn't, but chose not to considering how busy today was. The line was thankfully short and she waited patiently for him to serve his last customer. Closing the till, he turned to Blair and leaned down to peck her on the lips in greeting.

"Good morning," he hummed and she returned it, noticing that his hair was slightly less structured.

"Gave up with the gel already?" she joked and George put his hand to his hair, ruffling it so it sat up on his head in all its fluffy goodness.

"It's so much work," he whined. "Freddie gave up too."

Blair sniggered and reached up to attempt to flatten his hair, making him bend his knees so that she could reach. Customers glanced at the two but said nothing as George was obviously one of the owners, and Blair had been constantly seen in the shop as an employee. Those who knew the two before the opening of Weasley Wizard Wheezes knew about their relationship and others thought they were adorable. The bright orange hair and brown uniform on George and the continuous inky colour on Blair was an unlikely but refreshing combination.

"I'll be back later," Blair stated as she gave George another peck before shuffling behind him and heading towards the door. "And you forgot to feed Jasper again!"

"That's Fred's job!"

"No it's not!" the man himself appeared and glared at his brother. "I don't even like the thing!"

"But it's the only chore we gave you! We do everything else!"

"Well I want another chore! I'm not feeding that-"

Blair left the two to bicker over the heads of customers and slipped out the front door, taking the view of the deserted street. The threat of Death Eaters wandering around had planted the seed of fear in everyone and kept the street clear of shoppers and shop owners. It was sad to see it so gloomy and dark, but you couldn't possibly blame people for being frightened.

Heading towards the Leaky Cauldron, Blair passed very few people on her way through Diagon Alley. It made her think about what Hogwarts must be like this year. Many parents were sure to be afraid of letting their halfblood and Muggle-born children leave the house. Blair had even heard of a flyer that had been sent out by the Ministry of Magic about how to stay aware and protected against the Dark Arts that were looming over the Wizarding world. Even though she and the Weasleys didn't have to worry about being targeted (with them all being purebloods), they were still part of the Order of the Phoenix and classified as blood traitors. And there was still the suspicion that You Know Who would want to recruit the offsprings of his old followers; that being Blair.

"Do you ever give that head of yours a rest?"

Blair looked up from the cobblestone road she was staring at and saw Nancy grinning at her from the top of the slope. The sight of her old dorm mate made her quicken her pace and rush to embrace the girl, the two laughing for no apparent reason.

"You looked like you were on the path of thinking of yet another billion galleon potion," Nancy stated once they pulled away. "What's got you so deep in thought?"

"Just everything, I suppose," Blair muttered and tried to appear casual with her shrug. "It was a sad walk here. No stores are open and barely anyone's walking around."

"I know what you mean. I've come from Godric's Hollow and even that was a lonely walk," Nancy replied as they walked together to the pub nearby.

"I didn't know you lived in Godric's Hollow."

The two were able to keep a light enough conversation until they reached the Leaky Cauldron. There, they met Poppy and Mina who were waiting for them in the corner. They set off through the magical brick wall that separated the Wizarding world and the Muggle world and looked for a place to chat for the afternoon. London was packed and people walked around as if there wasn't a constant threat of being approached by a follower of You Know Who. Muggles continued on with their day like it was any other and Blair admired them for it. The Muggle world had its fair share of dark times, but it just so happened to be a time where the Wizarding world was in shambles and the Muggles were completely unaware of it.

They found a cafe and ordered a light lunch, using the little Muggle money they had in between them. They started off with talking about light-hearted topics and updates that the others may be unaware of.

"Umbridge's back in the Ministry. After being found with the centaurs, she spent a month at St. Mungos," Poppy mumbled through her muffin. "But she's still around. She got what was coming to her."

"And what about you, missy?" Mina turned to Blair. "How come you just up and left before the year even finished? Did you even get your graduate certificate?"

"No. I was tired of being at Hogwarts while everyone else was out there doing something with their lives. And I have a stable job with Fred and George now, so it doesn't really matter," she explained.

"You really dumped it on the Quidditch team, though. Roger was ready to send you a Howler about how hard it was to find a Chaser who was even nearly as good as you were," Nancy rolled her eyes at the memory of the Quidditch Captain holding emergency tryouts. "But we still won the house cup anyway. But they wouldn't have if you had left before that Slytherin game."

"Who was my replacement, then?"

"You're looking at her," Mina grinned and puffed out her chest to feign a macho figure.

"Really?!"

The four continued to chat until they started to run out of topics that weren't regarding the big erumpent in the room. They didn't want to bring up the fact that You Know Who was confirmed to be back and was recruiting once more. But unfortunately, the Wizarding world was covered with articles from the Daily Prophet having titles like 'How to protect you and your family from You Know Who' and 'He Who Must Not Be Named at large once more'.

"I've moved into an apartment here in London," Poppy spoke up, her cup of coffee to her lips. "It's the safest place for Muggleborns at the moment."

"I'm in Kingston," Mina added, the two Muggleborns smiling lightly at each other at the opportunity to keep in touch easily.

"You're in Diagon Alley, aren't you?" the three turned to Blair who had gone quiet during the conversation. "You're in the Weasleys big orange shop that sticks out like an erumpent in a library."

"You know that they're looking for specific families now, Blair," Poppy said in a quiet voice. "They'll look for you in the most obvious of places. And nearly everyone knows that you're good friends with the Weasleys. They'll come find you as soon as they have the time."

"I know they will. But I'm well protected," Blair said vaguely. She already had this conversation with the Order after leaving Hogwarts and wasn't too worried about the threat of recruitment. The Order had vowed to keep her safe and the twins had taken the responsibility to be her personal bodyguards (even though she insisted didn't need any). If she were to be approached by a Death Eater or follower of You Know Who, she would send out a Patronus and the Order would be there in seconds.

The girls dropped the subject once they realised that Blair didn't looked worried or concerned. This left her to finish her lunch and try to forget about the dark undertones of the conversation. They moved on to lighter things and spent the afternoon laughing like they were school girls again.
