An Order meeting was held the day before everyone was set to return to Hogwarts. Christmas had passed but the snow had continued to pile up on the porch and on the streets of London. Everyone in Grimmauld Place had bundled up in beanies and scarves, the Weasley jumpers coming in handy with their extensive warmth. Kreacher had been left to shiver in his den after being caught muttering to himself in Harry and Ron's room. It wouldn't have been that much of an issue but it was the fact that it was three in the morning at the time, and woke Ron with a start at the elf's ugly face being inches from his.

Sitting in the kitchen on the cold night was the Order of Phoenix with the addition of Blair. She was sure that everyone was upstairs with an Extendable Ear waiting for the meeting to begin. It made her uncomfortable to know that all the adults in the room will be asking her excessive questions on the potion that had become more popular than the invention of Fudge Flies, as well as her friends listening outside. Audiences weren't her preference when speaking and barely was able to keep a conversation going with one of her friends, much less a group of people she barely knew. She was continuously pulling at her Weasley jumper (to which she had worn every day over her usual black attire since Christmas) from nervous habit and allowed her attention to be on Molly, who was the only one she felt relaxed with. It was lucky that she had been seated opposite her, giving her the relief of not having to see the bulging eye of Mad-eye Moody or the scowling face of Professor Snape.

"Now Blair, we hear that you made this potion for the effects of the Blood Quill that Umbridge has been using, correct?" Remus Lupin asked; his voice warm and trying in making the girl feel comfortable enough to talk.

"Yes," she forced out, her eyes shifting from Molly to the man who had briefly taught her in fifth year.

"And did you use any resources for a recipe?" Kingsley Shacklebolt questioned.

"Yes," she said again. "Only a basic one for healing potions."

"Then what else did you add to it?" Professor Snape raised an eyebrow. Blair wasn't sure if he was angry that she had used his ingredients, but she was sure that he had been surprised to say the least to hear that she was the reason why specific herbs and elixirs had been mediocre at best in his classroom.

"Erm Murtlap essence... lionfish spine... stewed Mandrake leaves I think?"

"Interesting," Arthur stroked his clean-shaven chin, his gaze thoughtful and narrow. "Did you let it simmer for specific amount of time? Did you get any of the ingredients during the full moon?"

"No it was all just... ordinary?" Blair cringed at her undescriptive explanation. "I've always been good at Potions class, so maybe it has just brewed from there..."

"Yes, I'd say the elaborate teaching of Snivellius has helped you greatly," Sirius laughed and Snape whipped around to the man with an evil glare.

"Is that the tone of admiration, Black, or the tone of mocking?" He raised a greasy brow and Sirius could be seen holding the snarkiest of comments in.

"What we'd like to discuss with you,-" Mad-eye Moody cut in with his gruff voice halting the brewing argument. "-Rosier, is to be the Order's personal potioneer. We could use some of your skills for not only the healing potion that saved Arthur, but other vital concoctions."

"Only if you want to, dear. There is no rush to join if you're not ready," Molly reassured and sent a piercing gaze to Moody who looked hostile to the suggestion.

"It's better to know that you are under the protection of the Order sooner rather than later," Remus spoke again, bringing the calm and caring tone back into the conversation. His scarred face smiled back at Blair and if he were to still be her teacher, he would have been promoted to her favourite teacher of all time. Just above Professor Flitwick, who lacked the caring and kind aura that Remus carried constantly.

While the Order stared at her for an answer, Blair went through the pros and cons of joining the Order of the Phoenix. There would be the final initiation of being involved in the fight against You Know Who. Nothing would clear her name better from its Death Eater connotation than joining the resistance that has been in place since the first Wizarding war. She would be protected by the best Witches and Wizards of the century and would finally feel a part of something that mattered. However, her risk of being in danger would surely increase. Not only was she already being sort after to join You Know Who's side, but they wouldn't appreciate seeing the offspring of one of their most loyal followers join the enemy. But these times weren't fair and there was never a guarantee of safety and protection no matter who she joined.

"I suppose it would do good to join now. But I won't be able to do much while at Hogwarts. Not with Umbridge there," Blair reasoned.

"Of course not. There wouldn't be many missions you'd be able to go on yet anyway," Sirius said. "But I'm sure Snivellus will keep you updated on meetings and such."

Snape's lip hitched into a snarl but the rest of the table looked content on Blair's agreement. This wasn't a full initiation but at least Blair knew the Order would be prepared for her when she finished her education. It was unfortunate that Umbridge had to be in the way; otherwise Blair could be free to feed information from within the castle to the Order without any trouble. But with her growing monarchy, it would be too dangerous to show any kind of change in Blair. If Umbridge were to know that she had contact with Sirius Black and the rest of the Order, she would be trialled in the Ministry and even sent to Azkaban for treason.

"Well, Blair, we'll be looking forward to having you with us. Keep practicing with your potions," Remus instructed and signaled the end of the meeting.

The adults started to talk about everyday things and told Blair that she could head upstairs for now. She did so and was desperate to talk to the others about what had happened. She sped through the hallway and climbed the stairs, jumping up on to the next floor and seeing the Weasley children and Harry pulling up the Extendable Ear that she had run past.

"I can't believe you got accepted!" Ginny squealed and embraced Blair, grinning into the girl's thick hair. "We were sure they'd postpone it until the middle of next year!"

"It's still unfair," Fred crossed his arms and scowled. "We're of age too. We should be accepted in."

Blair pulled away from Ginny and stared up at Fred, not believing that he was still avid on pulling the attention back to him during this time of her success. His crossed arms and hunched shoulders made Blair think that he was avoiding her gaze, and she was right when he looked up and caught her eyes unexpectedly. His tense posture slouched and he rolled his eyes, letting the lopsided grin form on his lips.

"But I guess it's cool that you got in," he muttered, reaching out to ruffle his hand through her hair. "I suppose not everything in this world is about me."

"Shocking," Ron muttered and flinched when Fred pretended to lunge at him. George emerged from behind his brothers and pushed them aside, stepping forward so that he could enclose Blair into a bear hug.

"I'm so proud of you," he said into her ear, grinning from ear to ear. "They'd be stupid to leave you for another year. And when we join, we can go on missions together!"

"Oi and me," Fred butted in.

"We're a combination of those pretty butterflies! The orange and black ones, since Blair's a goth and everything!"

"Those have white spots, don't they?"

"Oh trust me; we're the whitest people I've ever seen."

Dumbledore's Army lessons returned as soon as everyone got back to Hogwarts. Patronuses was on the agenda and everyone was eager to learn them since hearing that Harry had used his when warding off a hundred off Dementors at once. It was soul destroying to see Professor Umbridge still sitting at teacher's table at breakfast since everyone was hoping that the woman had somehow chosen to leave the school alone. But it gave a stronger sense of motivation to prove the Ministry that Hogwarts wouldn't be controlled and suppressed like a barn of farm animals.

"You have to think of your happiest memory," Harry instructed as he walked around The Room of Requirement, lifting people's wands higher and lowering others. "Think about how you felt, what you heard, what you saw. Let it fill you and hold on to it."

Silvery animals pranced around the room, dissolving and reappearing when its caster lost concentration. Ginny's horse galloped strongly through the air and was solid for a majority of its cast. Hermione's otter swam around her and sniffed at the other animals, squeaking as if it was truly in the room. Ron's Jack Russel Terrier weaved through legs and rammed its head into the back of Neville's knees, making the boy fall to the ground and the wisp of his patronus fade away.

Above all the other transparent animals, was an owl that flapped its grand wings and hooted as it descended. Its claws swiped at the coyote that was attempting to snap its jaws around the hamster that was scurrying across the floor. The coyote whipped its head up and was distracted by the soaring bird, starting to run after it and forgetting that it had just scraped its claws across its head. Cackling noises flowed from the animal that padded after the owl, sounding like a hysterical laugh. The owl started to disappear as it came back to the wand it streamed from, forming into a mist and dispersing throughout the room. The coyote stopped as it stared up at the place it had disappeared, flickering its eyes to the person who held the wand it flowed from.

"George, your dog is staring at me," Blair mentioned and the boy walked over, letting his patronus fade into ripples of silver.

"It's not a dog! Coyotes are wolves!" he fought.

"Someone's been listening in Muggle Studies," she laughed, slipping her wand into her knee high socks. "Besides, coyotes can potentially rip apart birds. They're basically savages."

"Cats do too."

"But Jasper would never."

Heading out of the hidden room, Blair made her way towards the Ravenclaw common room. She was planning to make up another batch of her potion to put into the circuit of the school again. With the amount of Educational Decrees piling up, you wouldn't be able to sneeze without getting an evening of detention. The wall that was covered in the decrees was being watched closely by Professor Flitwick in case it were to finally crumble to a pile of bricks.

Speaking of the wall of decrees, the woman who had put all these rules in place turned the corner of the hallway and caught sight of Blair heading back to her common room. The woman in a deep shade of fuscia made a b-line for the girl and called out her name with a sickly sweet tinge in her voice.

"May I speak with you for a moment?"

Resisting the urge to groan aloud, Blair waited for the woman to stop in front of her and waited for some barmy accusation of walking too oddly or her tie being slightly off centre. From the pressed line of Umbridge's lips, she was sure that the woman will have found something about her that was worthy of a detention. She had been able to avoid them so far, but maybe now was finally her time to see how her potion really worked.

"I'm sure you are aware, Miss Rosier, of the role of a Head Girl. They are to show the other year groups what is to be expected of them and to set an example for those who might not be taking the right path with their education," Professor Umbridge started and Blair nearly found herself falling asleep.

"Yes, Professor. I am aware," she hoped it didn't sound too sarcastic.

"And I must say that you have set a strong example in regards to what is expected in your academia work," she nodded her stubby head. "However, your behaviour this year has been less than satisfactory."

"How so?" this peaked Blair's interest and woke her up from the light dose she was falling into.

"Your relationship with Mr Weasley is highly inappropriate and your association with Mr Potter is not what is expected from a Head Girl. So I am relieving you from your duties and banning you from ever being able to have a position of authority here at Hogwarts."

"W-What?!" she cried. "Y-You can't do that! T-That's the Headmaster-"

"I do not need to be told what is and isn't my job from a pupil of mine, Miss Rosier," Umbridge cut her off and smiled with a hint of a giggle at her. "You will no longer patrol the halls and lead your house to and from their dormitories."

The Professor flicked her wand that Blair hadn't even noticed she had pulled out of her pink handbag and out flew her blue Head Girl badge from her pocket. The metal flew into Umbridge's hand and Blair felt her heart split in two at the sight of it being taken from her. She had liked being Head Girl. She had never thought she would earn the title but now it was being ripped from her for the most barmiest of reasons.

"It's past curfew, Miss Rosier. If you do not head back to your dormitory immediately, I will have to give you detention. Good night."
