The Quidditch stadium was filled with not only Hufflepuffs and Ravenclaws, but a group of Gryffindors that sat among the blue supporters on the left side of the stands. While Blair walked off to join up with her team, her Gryffindor friends wore some of the bluest of clothes they owned. George had stolen Blair's scarf that she wouldn't be using and Fred had snatched her beanie, the two taking seats next to Nancy, Mina and Poppy. Even Hermione, Ron, Ginny and Harry had come along to watch. They didn't have many friends in the other houses so they only ever attended Gryffindor matches. But they supposed that one wouldn't hurt, and they were interested to see Blair's hidden Quidditch skills they had heard so much about.

The weather wasn't exactly ideal for the match. It had already started to get cold at Hogwarts and light sprinkles of snow had started to layer the Quidditch pitch. There was said to be a foot of snow ready to drop at nightfall, pushing the year into winter earlier than expected. Never the less, Blair bundled up her hands with her new gloves she hadn't gotten the chance to wear yet and covered her eyes with protection goggles to counter the iciness.

"Who's Hufflepuff's Seeker?" Ron asked to no one in particular, not wishing to mention Cedric's name. He used to be the team's Seeker and he was known for his agility and immaculate flying skills. But with the boy now no longer with them, the team would have to work hard in order to have a chance in the competition.

"Some fourth year. I think she was kind of forced into it," Poppy admitted with an anxious look, not wanting to upset Harry who had watched the poor boy die right before his eyes. Harry turned his gaze away from their conversation and decided to focus on the pitch, where the team of blue and yellow jerseys were gathering in the middle.

"Welcome to the first Quidditch game of the year!" Lee's voice rang throughout the stadium. He was sitting in the teacher's box with a microphone to his lips, having Professors' Flitwick and Sprout next to him to represent their houses for the game. "Today, we have Ravenclaw versus Hufflepuff! We have some new changes to both teams, giving a fresh look to the game! We've got Anthony Goldstein as Ravenclaw's new Chaser and Jonathan Runner as their new Keeper substitute! For Hufflepuff, we've got Lucy Brooks as Seeker!"

On the pitch, Roger shook hands with Zacharias Smith before stepping back and mounting their brooms. The rest of their teams did the same took their positions, Blair taking the far left of the pitch with Roger in the middle and Anthony on the far right. Their formation was burnt into Blair's mind and she watched as Madam Hooch threw the quaffle up into the air, initiating the beginning the match.

"And Madam Hooch releases the quaffle! Davies takes the lead. He heads for the goals," Lee commentated and cheers of encouragement came from both sides of the stadium. Ravenclaws hooted for Roger to score while the Hufflepuffs shouted for their team to defend their goals.

"He throws it to Rosier! Our new Head Girl, dating one of my good friends! Did you know that Roiser's cat was dipped into gold paint-"

"Jordan!" Professor McGonagall's voice could be heard through the microphone, cutting off his ranting.

"Sorry Miss..."

Blair weaved through the Hufflepuff Chasers and avoided the bludgers that her Beaters missed, before swinging her arm back and launching the quaffle over the top of Roger's head. The ball landed in Anthony's hands and he scored immediately, causing a 'ding!' to ring through the stadium and set the Ravenclaws into a loud roar. The few Gryffindors cheered with them and George grinned at the sight of his girlfriend modestly smiling at Anthony, congratulating him on his goal.

"What a deception there! Rosier's heading for the goals once more!"

Putting all her strength into her arm, Blair threw the quaffle and saw it fly through the middle hoop, skimming past the Keeper's fingers. The Ravenclaws cheered again and Professor Flitwick could be seen pumping his fist in the air at another goal from his house. Professor Sprout congratulated him and mentioned how skilled his Chasers were, being the good Hufflepuff that she was.

"She's bloody brilliant!" George said as he watched Blair shoot goals within seconds of each other. Hufflepuff had barely gotten a goal in and were losing miserably, putting the blue side of the stadium into a joyous mood.

"Surely we verse Ravenclaw soon," Fred added. "It'll be a riot with her on the team."

"You just want to pelt her with bludgers, don't you?" Ginny rolled her eyes.

"No, actually," Fred said in an honest tone, making his sister shut her mouth. "It'll be good to play a fair game. One that's not a pushover or a pack of cheating sods."

His reference to the Hufflepuff and Slytherin team weren't missed by the people surrounding, but considering it was only Ravenclaws, his comment didn't have any backlash. Most knew that he was competitive in Quidditch and only ever struggled when versing Ravenclaw and Slytherin (the latter only ever winning from their dirty strategies that ended with people in the hospital wing).

Throughout the game, Blair concentrated hard on making sure that she was always open to Roger and Anthony. They must have appreciated her help greatly, because every time they saw her, they threw her the quaffle and she scored the goal. Seven out of ten of the goals were scored by her and it soon came to the part of the game where they could win easily with Cho catching the snitch. They were at least a hundred fifty points ahead and it was a good score to end the game with, hopefully putting them high on the ladder for the start of the season.

"Both Seekers have spotted the snitch!" Lee announced and almost everyone's head turned to the sky, where Cho and Lucy were reaching for the golden ball.

While everyone was distracted, Anthony was able to score a goal and cause the Hufflepuff Keeper to wobble on his broom. Another 'ding!' went through the stadium just as Cho enclosed her fingers around the snitch, Lucy Brooks falling back inches and losing the advantage completely. Madam Hooch blew her whistle and cheers already erupted before she announced the ending result.

"Ravenclaw wins!" she shouted.

The teams lowered to the pitch and shook hands, before the Hufflepuffs retreated to their changing rooms. The Ravenclaws began to celebrate among themselves and modestly congratulate their Chasers, the ones who had really won the match. The crowd piled out from the stands and headed in different directions, the Hufflepuffs heading up to the castle and the Ravenclaws heading down to the pitch with the few Gryffindors with them.

"You were wicked, Blair!" Roger congratulated with a wide grin. "If it wasn't your last year, I'd give you a permanent spot on the team and make you captain!"

"I think that's a bit of an extent," she laughed nervously, pulling her goggles down from her eyes and hanging them around her neck. "But thank you. It was awesome to play again."

"Miss Rosier!" Professor Flitwick's voice brought her attention down to the ground, seeing the man stopping in front of her legs and beaming up at her. "Excellent teamwork today! I knew Dumbledore made a good choice with putting you as Head Girl! I suggested it and I'm overjoyed that I did!"

"T-Thank you, sir," Blair blushed. She wasn't expecting to receive so much praise, but she supposed that she had worked during the match. She was happy to be playing and was content with helping out her fellow players.

Just as she was about to follow after her team to the common room that was bound for a party, she was lifted into the air from behind and stopped in her tracks. The strong arms around her middle pulled her feet multiple inches from the floor and made her let out a girly squeal, putting her gloved hands over the coat-covered arms around her middle.

"You. were. brilliant!" George cried, squeezing her against his front and nuzzling his nose into her jersey. "You could play professional, you know?!"

"Why didn't we ever challenge you to a friendly game?" Ron shook his head with a bashful smile. "Who would have thought you'd be hiding that under all that misery?"

Ron made a grunt when Hermione's elbow was jabbed into his side. George lowered Blair back to the floor and pulled the blue and bronze scarf from his neck, wrapping it around its rightful owner's. He grinned down at her and pecked her nose, wondering how he had gotten so lucky to have a girl that was good at everything she did.

"There's a party up in the Ravenclaw tower. I'm sure you'll all be allowed in," Blair said to the group, wrapping her arm around George's back and letting his slip around her shoulders.

"We'll head back to our's for today. Thank you though," Hermione smiled sadly, pushing her eyes towards Harry who didn't seem too grateful for the offer. Blair had forgotten that he had liked Cho the previous year and maybe into the current year. But she had been dating Cedric and made Harry think that she wasn't interested.

"I'm coming. I need to talk to Michael about something anyway," Ginny spoke up, reminding everyone that she was actually dating a Ravenclaw too. Michael Corner was your classic Ravenclaw who was prideful of his house and was never particularly happy when their Quidditch team was beaten by other houses. But Ginny had been dating him recently and hadn't ran into any bumps in the road yet.

"We're coming," Fred and George cheered at the same time.

The group departed to their respectful places. Hermione, Ron and Harry went up to the castle to head for the Gryffindor tower while the twins, Ginny and Blair headed for the Ravenclaw tower. George basically glued Blair to his side, her arm still hooked around his middle while he played with the ends of her ponytail with his fingers. The two talked excitedly about the game while Fred and Ginny followed close behind, rolling their eyes at the hearts that they could see forming above the couple's heads.

"I thought Davies was sure to drop the quaffle in the second round," George rambled, shaking his head.

"He wouldn't have let that happen," Blair defended her teammate.

"You mean you wouldn't have let that happen," he teased, pushing his face close to hers so that their noses brushed against each others. "My little Quidditch player."

"Bleh," Ginny gagged at the sweetness and Fred followed, conjuring a sick bag to fake vomiting into.

"Don't even need Puking Pastilles. You just have to watch these two all day," Fred muttered and thanked the moment they reached the end of the spiral staircase.

"Tear off one and scratch its head, what was once red now black instead?" the eagle on the wooden door asked, blinking its metal eyes at the three Gryffindors that it disapproved of letting into the common room.

"A matchstick."

The door swung open and Blair skipped through in a mood better than ever. She had the team's appreciation on her shoulders and the amazement of her friends at her hidden Quidditch skills. Her reputation had changed completely at Hogwarts and no one even battered an eye at the sound of her last name. Everyone now knew her as the Head Girl who created a miracle potion that heals the most painful of injuries and plays Quidditch like a pro. She was respected and even envied.

"You played amazing today, Blair."

"Good to have you, Blair."

"Ayyy Blair the fair, what a game!"

Comments came from left and right as she entered the common room that was littered with every Ravenclaw in the school. Her team were receiving their own congratulations but everyone thought she deserved her own. Her face heated up at all the admiring eyes and pats on the back she received as she walked through the common room, overwhelmed with the attention.

"Thank you," she said to the last person, before turning to the group of people that stood waiting for her near the stairs of the dormitories. The swarm of first, second, third, fourth, fifth, sixth and seventh years blocked any opportunity to hide up in her dormitory. Even though she appreciated all of the praise, she still was the introverted mouse that liked her quiet time. She had definitely received enough attention for a week, and it was time for a month's worth of hibernation.

"Alright everyone, Blair knows she's amazing. The swarming really isn't necessary," George appeared beside her and spoke to the group of awaiting Ravenclaws. "Let's let her have a rest, shall we?"

Regardless of how reluctant the group were, they agreed to disperse and pester the other team members about their victory instead. Besides, Blair couldn't have done so well if it hadn't been for the Beaters blocking every bludger that was heading for her and for the Chasers' cooperation and practice. Cho also made a brilliant catch of the snitch, so she deserved some praise too.She wasn't all to be blamed for their win.

"Thanks, Georgie," she sighed and reached down to pick up Jasper, who had been passing by her legs to head for the bookcases where he usually took his naps. "I was prepared for the worst."

"I know what it's like to be pampered for how great you are," he flipped his imaginary hair off his shoulder, before centring his eyes on the cat in Blair's arms. "Wow! Look at how clean he is!"

"Don't start. He's still got tons of gold glitter still in his fur," she grumbled while pointlessly pulling out some spots of gold out of his sleekness.

"We were just trying to highlight how great he is."
