Because of the odd appearance of Professor Moody in the Ravenclaw dormitories, Blair was now extremely wary and suspicious of the man. As if the fact of Jasper rushing out the room and throughout the castle wasn't enough of a warning sign, the Professor had been eyeing her during meal times in the Great Hall and when walking in the corridors. His magic eye would swivel around in his socket and watch her eat all of her dishes and watch her stroll from class to class. It was unnerving and uncomfortable for Blair and she was ready to confront Professor Dumbledore about it.

She thought that maybe Moody had finally remembered his involvement with her father's death and had started to watch her every move in case of any signs of dark magic. Everyone knew how mad he was, so Blair thought that he suspected that she was ready to carry on the name of Rosier and join the followers that were still around of You Know Who. But never the less, she shouldn't have to put up with the discrimination since she has never even considered joining the dark arts.

So in her next Defence Against the Dark Arts lesson with the Headmaster, Blair finally brought up the problem.

"Sir, may I ask about one the Professors here at Hogwarts?" she asked politely after successfully breaking a curse on an aggravated book.

"I suppose so," the man replied, intrigued by the girl's request. "Which Professor are you referring to?"

"Professor Moody, sir."

Dumbledore's eyebrows shot up and he sunk back into his chair that sat behind his grand desk. The name of the man coming from his student wasn't a shock, but made him lean forward in interest. He hadn't forgotten about his friend's odd behaviour when previously mentioning Blair's change in classes, but he hadn't noticed anymore of his suspicious tweaks; until now.

"I see," Dumbledore hummed. "And what is it you'd like to ask?"

"Well I can't help notice that he's been quite... intrusive lately," Blair started and fiddling nervously with her sleeves. She had never 'dobbed' in a Professor before and speaking to the Headmaster about it was even more nerve-wracking.

"How so?"

"I heard that Professor Moody apparently came to the Ravenclaw common room a few days ago. My friend Nancy says that he was heading for the dormitories but basically turned on his heels when he saw her sitting and watching him," Blair explained. "I only found out because my cat somehow escaped the common room and found me down by the Black Lake. He's well trained and knows not to leave the Ravenclaw tower without me. And since then, Professor Moody's been... watching me closely, to put it nicely."

"Stalking you, Miss Rosier?" Dumbledore suggested and Blair felt a pang in her chest at the word. It was a term that she associated with the situation greatly but felt it was too accusing to use. But now that Professor Dumbledore had said it aloud, it was better to use as it highlighted how creepy and odd Moody's behaviour was.

"Yes. I'd say so," she answered while finding a random goblet on Dumbledore's shelves to distract herself with. "Usually I wouldn't complain. I'm used to this sort of thing from other students, but when it comes to a Professor, I can't help..."

"You don't need to explain yourself, Miss Rosier. I understand your discomfort with the situation. I also have reason to believe that Professor Moody ventured to the Ravenclaw tower in search of you," the man replied and Blair gulped. She had heavily considered the idea that Moody didn't want to be seen heading up to her dormitory for whatever reason. And now that she knew she wasn't the only one who thought so, she felt ever more unnerved by the Professor.

"I will be having a talk with Professor Moody regarding this problem, so don't worry yourself further. I'm sure there is a reasonable explanation for all of this," Professor Dumbledore stood up from his chair with his returning smile, but it was a challenge for the man to keep it on display. He didn't even believe his words but for the sake of Blair's state of mind and well being, he thought it would be best to have her staying unaware of the possible seriousness of the situation.

"Thank you, sir," Blair smiled back and relaxed at the sight of his kind smile and attentive nature. "I've bothered you enough for today. I'll leave you-"

"Nonsense, Miss Rosier," he cut her off but shook his head gently to show he wasn't intending to be rude. "You could never bother me. The only thing that bothers an old man like me is never having my fluffy socks washed for when I need to venture to the lavatories at night."

Blair laughed lightly and went to turn around to head for the door, only to be stopped again by Professor Dumbledore's voice calling her name once more.

"Before you go, I just wanted to inquire about your arrangements for the coming summer break," he stated and any sign of relaxation and comfort disappeared from Blair's face.

She barely knew how to respond as Dumbledore stood waiting patiently. Blair should have known that the man would know about her home life considering how much he seemed to know about anything and everything. His brilliance was sometimes overshadowed by his quirky comments that made him seem just like a crazy old man. But now she felt embarrassed and at a loss for words, as she knew what he was referring to even though he didn't show it.

"They're the same as always," she found the words leaving her lips with no emotion. "I try not to think about the summer break too much, sir. I try to enjoy Hogwarts for as long as I am able."

"Understandable. I know of the unnecessary hardship that comes with staying where you do," he nodded.

"How could you possibly know?" she snapped as her stomach was starting to feel hot and bubbly. How could he possibly understand? Magic folk understand nothing of what Muggles do to those they are afraid of. They didn't know how abusive and awful Muggles are when they are scared and don't understand something. It made Blair angry at the Professor's attempt to sympathise with her, making her forget who she was talking to.

"I know, Miss Rosier, because I have been to Wool's Orphanage many years ago to see a young Tom Riddle."

Blair's tense shoulders sagged at not only the name of the place she called 'home', but the mention of the cursed name. Dumbledore's kind smile had slipped off of his face but didn't hold any harsh curves or signs of offense at her sudden attitude. The man looked at her through his spectacles and watched as she tried to comprehend what he had just said to her. When he saw he wasn't going to receive any response, he continued speaking.

"Many people call Hogwarts home, Miss Rosier. Many who may have not experienced such a secure and welcoming place before come to this school because they desire the lifestyle here. Some find they don't belong in the Muggle world, even if they have been born and bred in the way Muggles are. Some just... don't 'fit in', as you would say," The Professor spoke while holding eye contact with Blair's shifting eyes. "Why, even Mr Potter, who I trust you have met, admits that he craves to stay at Hogwarts for the rest of his life. But unfortunately, the holiday between school years is when Hogwarts cannot be home to those considered outsiders. And I know that you have the same desires as Mr Potter. You would like to stay at Hogwarts, wouldn't you?"

"Yes..." Blair's voice was tiny and it matched how she currently felt. She felt small in front of Professor Dumbledore and hated the confrontation that she never thought she would have to face. "I hate it there..."

"I am aware of this. Which is why I was asking whether you'd still be going back to Wool's Orphanage when you are of age. Which is soon, am I correct?"

"Muggles don't consider seventeen as being of age, sir," Blair resisted the urge of letting her eyebrow twitch at the Professor's classic magic folk claim.

"I am aware of this too. I was merely wondering. You may go for today. We will see each other in our next lesson."

Blair took notice of Professor Dumbledore's now clipped and distant tone. She knew that she had managed to irritate him slightly from her blocked off and condescending attitude. But she couldn't help it. She had spent her whole life in the Muggle world where she was unhappy a hundred percent of the time and felt isolated no matter how much she tried. And the fact that even in the Wizarding world, she was whispered about and glared at because of her problematic last name. She didn't fit in anywhere. It was only when she was alone at Hogwarts, that she felt comfortable to live and breathe in her own space. Professor Dumbledore knew none of this, because he wasn't shunned or mistreated in either of these worlds. He was Albus Dumbledore, one of the most powerful wizards of all time (who was still as barmy as Barnabus the Barmy).

"Sir?" she dared to call back when he turned around and was now facing one of the many moving portraits in his office. "You said you knew about the orphanage. That you met Tom Riddle there. Is that... true?"

"Oh yes, Miss Rosier," Dumbledore said as he turned back around and looked at her with raised eyebrows. "Tom was orphaned and raised like a Muggle. He wouldn't want the world to know that, but he too hated the place. I was the one who brought him to Hogwarts, so when you say that I don't know, I know, Miss Rosier."

Blair got back to the Ravenclaw tower after her controversial lesson with Dumbledore. She was thankful that George said he had to go find Professor Snape after his class with Moody because he had detention from being caught with red dye on his hands. It wouldn't have been much of a problem if a group of Slytherins didn't walk in with bright red hair and scowling faces. It didn't take much to know what had happened, so he and Fred were now suffering an evening of detention.

She walked into the common room and threw her body down on the sofa that sat in front of the unlit fireplace. A few fifth years were scattered around and reading quietly, so Blair was able to be left to her thoughts. There was a lot to think about and she wasn't sure if she could even face Professor Dumbledore after today's lesson. With what started as just a paranoid inquiry about Professor Moody, turned into what Blair would consider to be a ripple in what Dumbledore once thought of her. She assumed he liked her enough to continue being her personal teacher but maybe she had tarnished the mutual relationship entirely.

Not only was there that, but there was the confirmed fact that Professor Moody was being suspicious in not only her eyes, but Dumbledore's as well. If he was truly under the impression that she was planning to follow in her father's footsteps, then she could be facing the extremity of a Ministry trial and a cell in Azkaban. Moody may be a retired Auror, but the Ministry of Magic were bound to see the evidence of the daughter of a known and once dangerous Death Eater being destined for the wrong path in life.

Blair sighed as she leaned back against the sofa and heard a soft meow come from behind her, making her turn her head to see Jasper. He was standing on the back cushions of her seat and nuzzled his head against Blair's cheek, noticing her deep frown and troubled look in her eyes. Blair reached up and scratched under his chin, her mind still racing at all the information she had learnt today.

And with the third task of the Triwizard tournament being tomorrow, it meant that the summer break would be only a week away. She wasn't ready to leave and she couldn't help but feel like something was going to change.
