Arthur and Bill returned to the corridor where Percy, Fred and Sophia had begun to walk back into the Great Hall. It would be the meeting place for the injured to be treated by anyone who had the ability to conjure bandages and potions. However, Sophia only made it to the archway of the hall when her legs weakened considerably and her injuries drained the last licks of adrenaline that had been keeping her standing. She fell sideways and knocked into Fred's arm, alerting him of her falling figure and spiked his old Beater reflexes.

"Woah woah woah," Fred repeated out of surprise and slipped his arm around her back, letting her lean into him as he hiked her legs up with his other arm. "What's wrong?!"

"M-My side..." she muttered with her eyelids beginning to drop. She longed for another sleep and hung comfortably in Fred's arms, laying her head against his shoulder in content.

"She's lost a lot of blood," Bill came forward and noticed her arm, shoulder and torso was covered in a mixture of dried and fresh redness. "But she hasn't lost any tissue. She just needs bandages."

Fred listened intently before hurrying further into the Great Hall where lines of people lay waiting to be tended to. There was only Madam Pomfrey and volunteering witches who were most likely from St. Mungos trying to get through as many people as they could. They had no choice but to dispose of the helpless and close to death to tend to the ones who could be saved. Most had resulted in bandaging themselves and getting others to run to the Potions classroom to take all the remedies that could be useful.

As they were one of the first batches of people in, the Weasley boys laid Sophia down a small distance away from the group and quickly got to work. Fred took the initiative to conjure the bandages and cover most of her side, leaving Percy to grab some blood-replenishing potions from the supply and slip some past Sophia's lips. They left her to doze for the time being and went to find the rest of the family, when the familiar voice of Molly made them whip their heads around towards the entrance.

"A-Arthur... oh Arthur..." she sobbed as she stumbled down the aisle, tears leaking down her cheeks. Arthur met her half way and she collapsed into his arms, bawling into his front and worrying Bill, Percy and Fred immensely.

"Molly, what is it?!" Arthur inquired and looked over her for injuries. The woman couldn't muster any real words and cried helplessly into his shoulder, leaving the boys behind them to look up to the entrance.

They didn't need any more explanation as the sight of a stretcher being brought in was enough for them to simultaneously break down like their Mother. Charlie and a seventh year student carried the stretcher down the aisle and lowered it down next to where Sophia dozed. The family immediately swarmed around the spot as the body of George lay still with his eyes gazing lifelessly to the ceiling of the hall. Fred's heart shattered into millions of pieces and he couldn't stop the tears and whimpers that radiated from his being. He lowered himself to his knees and balled up George's jumper in his fists, touching his head to his twin's chest in hopes of some rejuvenation or a miracle of life-giving magic. But the boy's heart stayed still and Fred was left with half of his soul gone forever.

Ginny soon arrived and sunk into the space opposite her older brother, sobbing over the once joking and painfully annoying boy. The family was inconsolable as they had never felt the travesty of losing a son and/or brother. It was a pain in their chests that sunk into their bones and made everything else around them irrelevant. There were plenty of bodies that lay lifeless in the hall but none of them compared to the one in front of them.

Sophia came to only minutes after she had lost consciousness and sat up without much thought of the atmosphere around her. The bandages on her side reminded her of the ache in her veins but she took the moment to gather her surroundings. She only looked to her left after she had seen Molly and Arthur Weasley standing at her feet with tearful and crestfallen expressions. It was worse than the looks they wore when they watched their home burn. It was more personal and made them look ten years older than they were. Molly would have suited white hair and Arthur could have hunched over from the wearing of time.

Only then did she find the horror that lay beside her. She had followed the gazes of the parents and nearly passed out again. The lifeless stare on George's face felt like a Muggle cigarette was pressed to her heart and caused a permanent scare that burned at the flesh whenever it saw fit. She didn't remember crawling from her space on the floor and sitting next to Fred, but she remembered the way the boy clutched her like she was his last hope of bringing his brother back.

She hadn't seen Fred cry loads in her time of knowing him, but this was the worst she had ever seen him. Whatever she was feeling, was six times worse for him. She quietly let the tears fall from her eyes and drip on to Fred's scalp as he bawled into her bandages, not even having the strength to speak or utter how awful he felt.

At some point, Ron had appeared and visibly crumbled next to George's legs. Harry and Hermione stood behind him silently with their own tears in their eyes but found it disrespectful to let them fall. They knew George the least out of the group and found it best to walk away to leave the family to grieve. Ginny found it in herself to console Ron and let him cry into her shoulder, looking at Percy over his shoulder with a blank look. It was odd that he was here and grieving as he had been gone for so long, but made no comment as the family was together for the first time as a whole. Yet, they had lost a piece of it at the same time.

"Sophia..." a soft whisper broke through the collective crying and Bill and Charlie parted to reveal Hermione. She stood with fiddling hands and tearful eyes, looking reluctant to say her next few words. "I think you need to see this."

Fred had barely let her stand from the floor and felt cold once she stepped away from him. Letting her walk away, he resulted in sobbing into George's cold chest. Hermione took Sophia's hand and glumly led her down the aisle of bodies, hoping that she would never reach the people she knew would crush Sophia into dust. As if George wasn't enough, fate had decided to take more of who Sophia held close to her.

"T-That's not fair..." Sophia whispered once she stopped in front of the two bodies. The tears were now gushing like waterfalls down her face. "That's not fair Hermione..."

Remus and Tonks lay with their fingers brushing against each others on the cold hard floor that the stretchers did nothing to prevent. They were both equally as dirty and lifeless, maybe even dying together by the same merciless Death Eater. And little Teddy slept peacefully at home, unaware that he was now the victim to a parent-less life.

Sophia wrapped her arms around Hermione and cried every last drop of tears she had left in her body. Hermione stood stonily and let the girl curve into her, rubbing her back pointlessly without looking at the bodies on the floor.

Even though Remus had made sure that he had been a part of Sophia's life in place of her mother, she still felt like she had no time with him at all. He had never truly gotten over the fact that she hadn't recognised him when she had turned up at The Burrow. He had never truly come out of the depression he developed during Sophia's weak time. And he never truly apologized for being absent during the time she needed him most.

As if death felt cheated, he punished Sophia for saving Fred when he should have died. Instead, he greedily took two in his place.

People had begun to pile out of the Great Hall and into the Entrance Hall with word that the ants had returned from their retreat to the hills. It had just passed dawn and the school grounds looked nothing like they did in the night. The sun allowed for everyone to see the destroyed castle and fires that still burned. The sky however, stayed clear with a shining ball of light that mocked Hogwarts with its life and vividness.

Sophia had to physically hold Fred up as they made their way out of the Entrance Hall. His hand clutched hers as he leaned against her, cheeks lined with dried tear tracks. He wanted to feel bad for her as she had lost her Father, but he couldn't help but sink into self pity and sorrow for his brother instead. Whether that was seen as selfish or not, he didn't care. He wanted to be held up and alone in his head.

"Who is that?" Ginny questioned as the sight of Hagrid caring someone brought around a lot of confused whispers.

"Harry Potter-" Voldemort's high voice rang out across the clearing. "-is dead!"

The hope and remaining slithers of life slipped away among the group of students, Order members and teachers of Hogwarts. The Death Eaters standing behind the bald and snake-like man chuckled to themselves as Ginny rushed forward in denial, only to be held back by Neville who stood nearby. Voldemort cackled aloud and evilly eyed the group, gesturing his wand towards the boy who lay limp in Hagrid's huge arms.

"He ran for his life. Such dishonour he had for the people who sacrificed... everything for him," Voldemort snorted. Sophia noticed the satisfied grin that settled on Bellatrix Lestrange's face as she caught sight of her.

"There is no need for any more bloodshed," he continued with his sinister grin dropping, but still holding the evil look in his eyes. "Now is the time, to join me and end this pointless war. We will spare those who come forward."

Draco Malfoy had been the first to appear, but it was only from the worrying usher that came from his Father. The boy looked to be forcing his feet to walk across the clearing and join the group, sinking into the crowd without looking up at the disappointed gazes of his schoolmates. Voldemort looked pleased at the action and turned to anticipate more people to join him. Neville stepped forward, but not with the intent to join him like Voldemort thought.

"I expected better," the man admitted and the group laughed mockingly. "But I suppose all is appreciated. What's your name boy?"

"Neville Longbottom," he stated and the group laughed again.

"Well Mr Longbottom, we wel-"

"I have something to say," he cut him off and Voldemort dropped his smile again.

"Well I'm sure we are all dying to hear what it is,"

"It doesn't matter that Harry's dead..." Neville started, his voice sounding forced yet strong.

"Neville!" Ginny called in horror.

"People die every day!" Neville turned to her briefly before facing Voldemort again. "He's still with us... in here."

Voldemort could be seen starting to laugh and his followers followed in suit. This was pathetic to them, but it meant so much to the people behind Neville.

"So is George, Remus, Tonks... all of them," Sophia clutched Fred's hand at the names that she loved the most in the world. "They didn't die in vain. But you will! 'cos you're wrong! Harry's heart did beat for us! For all of us! It's not over!"
