《Ethereal ✭Fred Weasley✭》94.

Sophia was pulled through the dark interior of the Malfoy manor by the man who she had worked out to being a Snatcher. Bellatrix stayed ahead of her with her slow saunter and the click of her heeled boots against the wooden floor. They came into the barren living room where Sophia experienced the worst portion of her life, yet kept composed. She half expected to see puddles of her blood still on the floor, but it was completely spotless as if it had never happened. When they entered the living room, the sound of Bellatrix's loud shoes made the three sitting figures stand from the black, leather sofa.
"Look who came back to play!" Bellatrix threw her arms out to present Sophia. Narcissa, Lucius and Draco Malfoy looked to the girl with unresponsive expressions. If the Snatcher next to her wasn't holding her jumper in his fist, she would have allowed her skin to shiver and physically straighten her posture in attempt to show that she wasn't intimidated. The sight of Lestrange was enough of a bowling ball to settle heavily in her stomach, and the combination of Malfoy and his Father was the next huge weight. Even though it was only Draco who had made the worst impression, his Father had been present during her time in the manor.
"S-Shall I call the Dark Lord?" Lucius stammered and cleared his throat timidly. It wasn't hard to see that Lucius had degraded since the last time she saw him. His face had more lines than ever and his grey eyes were sunken in with his beard still scruffy.
"Did you take her wand?" Bellatrix demanded and the Snatcher held out the brown wand to her. Lucius lowered his regardless of his unanswered question, leaving the woman to take the wand between her forefinger and thumb as if it had come straight from the trash, eyeing the tip before narrowing her eyes at the handle. Sophia stopped herself from recoiling as Bellatrix snapped her head up to look at her with now no sign of a grin.
"This isn't your wand," she noted with suspicion. "Where is your wand? Search her!"
The Snatcher immediately started searching in Sophia's jumper pockets. His grubby hands took advantage of the opportunity and didn't hesitate to squeeze all portions of her skin with a smug look. Trying to appear unfazed, Bellatrix watched her intently for any sign of falter from embarrassment or humiliation. Getting to Sophia's back pockets of her jeans, she couldn't stop the yelp leaving her throat as the man unnecessarily groped her backside.
"Nothing," the man announced and stood up straight with a wide smirk.
"Hm", Bellatrix humped. "Wormtail!"
The staircase that leads down and out out of the living room echoed with quick light footsteps coming from below. Peter Pettigrew appeared in all his hunched over glory and chattering teeth as he stepped into the room, avoiding eye contact with Bellatrix. The Malfoys stood stiffly near the sofa in silence and Sophia stayed emotionless beside the Snatcher. Peter looked up momentarily and noticed the new face in the room but looked down before it was noticeable.
"Y-Yes ma'am?" he stammered with his hands up in their imitation of a rat's.
"Take Lumpy Lupin down to the cellar," she pointed a pointy black finger at Sophia, her tone demanding and now disinterested.

"Y-Yes ma'am," Peter nodded and shuffled across the floor towards Sophia. Keeping his head low, he curled his dirty fingers around her bicep and started to pull her towards the staircase. Sophia glanced up at the Malfoys' while on her pursuit and met eyes with Draco first.
He didn't wear a scowl like he did when he saw her at the Weasley shop. He in fact was displaying a pitiful look and Sophia almost thought he was about to say something. When he stayed silent, Sophia moved her gaze to the tall woman beside him. She hadn't ever met the only female in the Malfoy family during her time at the manor, but she didn't feel the same aurora she felt when seeing Lucius and Draco. Narissa stood tall and slim with long black hair, sinking into the decor as if she was poster. From the brief glance, Sophia noticed how much she looked like her Son not only with their facial features but with their facial expressions as well. She looked guilty and ready to step forward, only to have Sophia disappear behind the wall that followed the staircase down into the cellar.
Peter opened a mouldy gate and put Sophia in front of himself to walk into the cell. She was surprised at how gentle the man was when handling her and turned to see him lock the gate, turning away and walking back up the stairs hurriedly. The cell was dark and smelt damp as if it had just been previously raining. The walls were only brick but were to bound to have all sorts of enchantments on them to make them stronger than they appeared. It was a typical jail cell and Sophia began to question what she had really gotten herself into.
"Sophia? Is that you?" a familiar dreamy voice was heard from the corner. Luna Lovegood came into the minimal light dressed in her purple overalls and red long-sleeved shirt. Her lower lip had a small cut on it and the lower part of her eye socket had darkened into a greenish colour.
"Luna..." she mumbled back and let the girl wrap her arms around her shoulders, hugging her lightly. She noticed how cold Luna's skin felt against her own and realised how cold it was down here.
"Who's this then?" a squeaky voice spoke up, making Luna pull away and stand beside Sophia. Coming into the light, a Goblin waddled his way towards Sophia and gazed up at her with his beady black eyes. He looked as if he hadn't been in the cell long with his immaculate dress shirt and dress trousers.
"Mr Griphook, this is Sophia Lupin," Luna introduced as gestured her dainty hand to the said girl.
"Lupin. And how did you get here?" his squeaky voice questioned, momentarily displaying his frighteningly sharp teeth.
"I kind of... purposely got myself captured," Sophia shrugged and felt embarrassed when the goblin scoffed.
"I hope you have some sort of a plan here then? Or are you as foolish as you look?" Griphook mocked and Sophia was insulted. Not only did he just say she looked stupid, he reminded her that she didn't actually have a plan. Her only goal up until now was to get into the manor either by sneaking in or being brought in. Now that that was accomplished, she needed to start searching for her map. She had basically displayed what the trait of Gryffindor recklessness was.

"I-I er..." she stuttered and felt intimidated by the Goblin's disapproving look.
"Ha, no plan. You stupid witch," Griphook shook his head. "Now that that they've got you, all they need is Potter. They'll be ruling the world in no time."
"I came to find my map-" Sophia blurted out.
"Oh you'll find it alright. You'll be reading the resistance's battle plans soon enough," Griphook waddled back towards the shadows.
"That's not true. I plan to destroy it," Sophia fought back. But it was useless. The goblin had made a very fair point and she was emotionally bruised. She may have just jeopardised the whole resistance's chance of winning against You-Know-Who. She would never willingly betray them and give information, but there was no telling of what Bellatrix would do to force her to read the Sky map. She wasn't sure if she would have the same willpower that she had the last time she was here in order to keep her mouth shut. It could be the moment that she finally cracks. Or she could finally slip into insanity, just like the Longbottoms' did.
"How are you and Fred, Sophia?" Luna mindlessly questioned, oblivious to Sophia's depressed state.
"Um good..." she tried. "I haven't seen him in a while. But I hear he's doing well with Potterwatch."
"Oh yes, I knew it was him," Luna smiled lightly. "He did sound like he missed you greatly. He's quite sweet with words isn't he?"
Sophia barely nodded and sat down against the brick wall to her left. Utterly defeated and feeling like a complete idiot, she barely registered the other man who had been sitting in the shadows near where Griphook had just collapsed. Ollivander hadn't said anything when Sophia had walked in as he was too weak to think at this point. He attempted to clear his dry throat but had barely made a sound that even Griphook couldn't hear. What a sorry lot they all were.
"Daddy says that you and Harry are the only hope in defeating You Know Who," Luna spoke up again, unaware of the heavy atmosphere. "It was him that told the world that you had the only Galileo map left in existence. And that you were one of the only people who could read it."
If they hadn't been down in a jail cell in the headquarters of You Know Who, Sophia would have questioned the Lovegood's loyalty to the resistance. She didn't know that everyone knew of her map and abilities, but what good was it going to do in worrying about it now? Everyone in the Ministry probably knew about it as it is the main reasoning for the galleon price on her head. And with how much turmoil the Wizarding world was in right now, she doubted many people would be in the right state of mind to be amazed at the discovery.
---
Weeks had passed while down in the cell until Peter Pettigrew scurried down the staircase and grabbed Sophia by the bicep. He silently pulled her up the staircase and into the bare living room where Bellatrix Lestrange stood lonesome with her wand in hand. Pettigrew bowed his head as he backed away Sophia, leaving her to stand in front of the ghastly woman. It took a moment for Lestrange to say anything, to which the silence was filled with her crazed eyes staring into Sophia's with a playful smile. She took the time to sulk over how hungry and thirsty she was. Food and water wasn't a common occurrence while down in the cell. But the experience wasn't supposed to bearable and pleasant.
Sophia didn't risk looking anywhere other than the woman until she finally broke the silence with her shrieking and whiny voice. She did a quick sweep of the room in hopes of maybe spotting her map somewhere but then quickly returned to the woman in front of her.
"ELF!" she screamed and with a loud 'pop!', a hunched over House-Elf appearing beside Bellatrix holding a very familiar scroll of parchment. The Elf wore a tea towel around its waist and raised the scroll up to Bellatrix with its head bowed, not daring to catch it's Mistress's eye.
"I trust you remember this," Bellatrix grinned at Sophia as she held up the scroll, jabbing her heeled boot into the side of Elf in order to send it on its way. The Elf popped away, leaving them in the dreary room that held nothing but vile memories.
"You know what you are going to do, don't you?" the woman stepped forward so that her frizzy hair brushed against Sophia's shoulder. Breathing heavily through her nose, the girl subtly leaned back in an attempt to put some distance in between them. Bellatrix took no notice of this and grabbed the handles of the scroll, yanking it open fiercely and Sophia hoped that it would rip from the force. Unfortunately, it didn't.
"Read. it."
Shoving the handles into her hands, Sophia hated the feeling of having the map back in her hold. It felt wrong and it felt like betrayal to not only the resistance, but to herself. Bellatrix's evil gaze didn't move from Sophia's face and she could only find refuge by looking down at the parchment. A lump formed in her throat at the sight of the artistic drawings of the moon and sun that sat in the corners of the map, and she had to physically bite her tongue when she looked to the randomly placed dots in the middle.
Without her consent, the markings whispered to her and she listened miserably. She could hear everything. She could see everything. She could see what was happening in Spain, Australia, Paris and Japan. It was overwhelming. Her mind skillfully picked through all the information that wasn't relevant to her and soon came to the points she dreaded to hear.
"Well?!" Bellatrix's voice screamed and Sophia jumped like a rabbit would at hearing a rustle in the bushes. "What does it say?!"
Gulping down her throat, Sophia successfully kept her mouth shut. Fear tickled her skin just like the frizzy hair of Bellatrix tickled her shoulder. The askew wand shook in anger from Bellatrix's hand and she nearly raised it with the urge to utter the worst of curses. But for the sake of the Dark Lord, she recollected herself and blew raspberries into Sophia's face. She flinched slightly and Bellatrix surprisingly took a step back, putting at least a metre between them.
"I know what'll loosen your tongue," Lestrange looked like she offering the treat of a lifetime. She then looked over her shoulder and screamed, "GREYBACK!"
