《Ethereal ✭Fred Weasley✭》84.

A moment of silence rang throughout The Burrow, before Bill suddenly stepped forward with a glum aurora surrounding him. Everyone turned to look at the scarred face that glanced from the floor and up to the group with an urge to speak, Fleur appearing next him to give him some support.
"Mad-Eye's dead..." he muttered and a gasp slipped out from Molly's mouth. "It was Mundungus. He apparated when he saw they were being targeted and the killing curse hit Mad-Eye instead."
"Traitor..." Hagrid mumbled and shook his huge head in despair, pulling out his huge polka-dotted handkerchief.
Sophia looked over her shoulder towards where Harry was standing with Hermione and Ron, noticing the troubled glaze he had in his eyes. She knew that he was blaming himself for Mad-Eye's death as well as George's wound. She had thought to take him into another room and settle the fact that they knew what they were doing when they came to take him from Privet drive, even though she wasn't a big fan of the idea either. But he soon made his way out of the room on his own and upstairs before she could make the move, allowing her to turn back to George who had passed out again on the sofa.
While everyone toasted to yet another Order member's death, Sophia continued to wipe away the blood that was caked in George's hair and skin. The bleeding had thankfully stopped but the hole couldn't be healed because of the intensity of the dark magic that was used. She conjured some bandages with her wand and wrapped it around his head, covering the hole and keeping it from any festering bacteria. Fred had stayed next to her as she worked, not liking the idea of leaving his brother alone while in his unconscious state. And he couldn't help but stare at Sophia as she carefully tended to George, a warm feeling spurting from inside. Even though it was sort of sinister, he enjoyed seeing his girlfriend care so much for his brother and take the time to be so gentle.
"He should be okay now..." Fred broke out of his trance to see that Sophia had finished tying the bandage. "He just needs to sleep it off."
"Shouldn't be too hard, he does enough of that already," Fred joked and Sophia lightly laughed. She then turned to him with her smile dropping into a grimace, making him do the same.
"I'm glad you're both alive..." she admitted. "I didn't know what to think when you didn't turn up with your Portkey. And when George showed up like this, I thought that-"
"Hey hey calm down," he took hold of Sophia's blood-stained hands and clutched them tightly to stop her rambling. She hadn't noticed that she begun to shake and tremble at the thought of Fred and George not coming back from their mission. It was only now settling in that she was incredibly lucky to have both of them in front of her after all that. "We're here now. That's all that matters. The worst part is over."
Sophia didn't have the heart to voice her denial of his last statement and tried to focus on his main point. They were back and alive. The next event would be the wedding, which was much less life-threatening and worrisome. She allowed herself to relax at the thought and thank Merlin that a majority of the Order had come back alive. It was just unfortunate that George had to be the one to have gotten hit.

"She's brave," Fred spoke and Sophia turned to see that Bell the puff had climbed up on to George's arm and was making her way towards his bandaged head. The puff squeaked as she settled down in the place where his ear should be and shut her eyes to nap. Sophia and Fred both laughed at the sight of the periwinkle fluff sleeping on George's unconscious head, bringing the smallest bit of happiness to the situation.
"The only lady he'll ever attract," Fred noted. Sophia sniggered and turned her attention back to the twin next to her. The two looked at each other deeply with faint smiles on their faces and found themselves leaning forward unconsciously. Sophia's fist clenched around the grey jumper that he was wearing that belonged to Harry before pressing her lips against his, eyes sliding shut in pure bliss. Fred's hands placed themselves on her hips and gently pulled her closer, hoisting her up on to his knee so that they wouldn't be in such an awkward position. Their lips lapped together and both were grateful that everyone had left the room to discuss things in the kitchen, leaving them to be shameless. Fred's hand had just begun to slip under Sophia's shirt but was stopped by a loud groan from his right.
"I get that I nearly died guys but come on, do you have to snog in celebration?" George croaked and ran a hand down his face tiredly. Sophia pulled away, much to Fred's disappointment, and slid off his knee into the spot she once sat in. Her cheeks warmed at George's words and cleared her throat in awkwardness.
"Yeah and next time, we'll be sure to snog on top of you instead," Fred hissed and George glared back at him through his tired eyes.
"Why do I feel like something's on my head?" George decided to question as he felt a light weight on top of his bandage. He attempted to move his eyes to their corners in order to catch a glimpse of the culprit but failed. Sophia reached over and scooped Bell up from his head and held it out for George to see, to which he did with a cringe.
"Disturbing," he retorted and started to shuffle in his place. He forced himself to sit up and began to stand to his feet, but immediately swayed and felt light-headed from the action.
"Georgie, you shouldn't be standing!" Sophia cried as she grabbed hold of his arm and swung it around her shoulder to support him. George mumbled something she couldn't make out and Fred appeared on the other side of him, doing the same and taking most of his brother's weight. Bell had been placed on to the shoulder of Sophia's that was closest to George, squeaking into his still present ear after being awoken from his brief nap.
"Stop chirping Soph..." George groaned with his eyes clamped shut in irritation.
"He's definitely out of it," Fred stated and they both started making their way towards the staircase, stopping in front of it when they were presented with the obvious problem. "I'm gonna have to apparate. He won't make it up the stairs."
"Will he be able to take the apparation?" Sophia worriedly mentioned.
"Haven't got a choice really," Fred shrugged and pulled his wand out from his trouser pocket. "Ready?"

They had successfully gotten George up the twins' old room and settled him into his own bed, ensuring that his bandage was still tight and secure. Fred said that he'd undress him so that he can sleep comfortably so Sophia left the room, leaving down to the kitchen where she could listen in on the Order's next move. If there was one anyway.

The day of Bill and Fleur's wedding came around fast. The stress level was high as Molly frantically rushed around the house, shouting at her children to clean their rooms and the rest of the house. Ron daringly made a comment about having the wedding in his room when he was told to clean it, which resulted in Molly blowing up into a fierce scolding session. Ron learnt his lesson fast and did what he was told, avoiding his mother for the rest of the morning. Fleur had been taken into Ginny's room for preparations with her sister, Gabrielle. Her younger sister and Ginny were going to be her bride's maids, much to the Weasley's dismay. They had to wear tight gold dresses that clashed heavily with Ginny's flaming red hair, but she tried her best to not complain as it was Fleur's special day.
Sophia had borrowed a dress of Hermione's and was currently being helped into it by the girl herself. Hermione wore a simple red dress which was rather pretty and Sophia's was a dark blue. It reached just above her thighs and was fitted around the chest area, flowing out into loose ruffles for the bottom half.
"Do you know what Fred's wearing? I can charm it to match his if you want," Hermione suggested as she motioned to the dress with her wand.
"I haven't seen him since I was forced out of their room so they could clean it," Sophia shrugged. "Don't worry about it. I like the colour."
Hermione nodded and began to fix her hair in the mirror, leaving Sophia to look the window and see that a large gazebo had been planted just outside for the wedding. It was white and held up by long ropes that were hammered into the ground. A path was made from the entrance of the gazebo to the field where guests had already begun to arrive. The barrier around The Burrow had been momentarily taken down so that the guests could come through, putting her slightly on edge. But for the sake of the wedding, she chose to ignore it and appear unphased. Sophia spotted a whole lot of redheads arrive along with some rather beautiful looking people, presumably belonging to the Delacour family.
"I was told to stay away from a Great-Aunt Muriel," Hermione stated. "Apparently she's very judgmental. Hates Fred and George for putting fireworks under her chair when they were younger."
"Of course," Sophia huffed at the image of the two doing exactly that. "Shall we make our way down?"
The Weasleys' were scattered around under the gazebo, greeting guests politely. Harry had to take Polyjuice Potion in order to be under cover, appearing as Cousin Barney. He stood next to Ron and people occasionally asked who he was, to which he replied as a long lost cousin of the Weasleys'. Everything seemed to be going to plan and they could momentarily relax.
"Looks like Muriel's already gotten to Sophia and Hermione", George nudged his brother in the side. George's head was still wrapped in the bandage Sophia had conjured but he ensured that it didn't hurt anymore.
"Oh no," Fred hid his eyes in his palm as he saw Sophia's expression turn into an offended one when Aunt Muriel said something to her. The old woman dressed in a ghastly purple attire turned away from the two girls and Hermione grabbed hold of Sophia's arm, pulling her towards the group who were watching from a far. Hermione looked slightly irritated while Sophia's mouth was still wide from Aunt Muriel's words, looking like a fish with her wide eyes and hanging jaw.
"What an awful woman!" Hermione stomped her foot and crossed her arms. "She said my ankles were too skinny!"
"Don't listen to her. She's bonkers," Ron stated.
"What did she say to you, love?" Fred questioned as he turned to Sophia who still hadn't said anything.
"She asked if I had been out in the sun too long!" Sophia cried with pure offence. "Said that my face was covered in sun spots!"
"She must have been talking about your freckles," Hermione suggested.
"They're not that bad are they?!" Sophia pointed to her cheeks that were littered with the brown dots.
"Of course not love," Fred shook his head and reached out to run his thumb over her soft cheeks. "They're adorable. Don't listen to the old bat."
Ron and George gagged at their brother but Sophia gratefully beamed at him. Hermione held back a squeal and decided to grab hold of Ron, pulling him away from the scene to greet more guests. Harry (Barney) and George soon glanced at each other and silently agreed to go elsewhere, leaving Sophia and Fred to themselves. Fred looked over her appearance and took in the dark blue dress and beige-coloured heels, spotting the star necklace still around her neck.
"You look beautiful," he commented and she blushed deeply.
"And you look as dashing as ever," she replied at the sight of his usual brown suit. "Did Molly try to get you to wear something different?"
"Yep. Looked like Ron's dress robes from sixth year," Fred grimaced at the memory of the suits she tried to push into his and George's hands. "There was no chance."
"Frederick, have you seen this girl's face? Such a shame," a crackly voice intervened and the two turned to see Aunt Muriel standing there with her vein-riddled eyes switching between them. "I have creams to help those spots. They work like a charm!"
"Erm no thank you Miss..." Sophia awkwardly declined and avoided the woman's eyes, absolutely fuming inside at her persistence.
"They're natural Auntie," Fred rolled his eyes and slipped his arm around Sophia's waist, pressing her against his side protectively. Aunt Muriel caught on to this and a small grumble came from her wrinkly throat.
"Ah I see what is going on here," she pointed a stubby finger between them. "I suppose I'll have to be coming to another wedding soon then. We'll have to cover those spots dear. You'll want to look your best."
"Thank you for your input," Fred spat through clenched teeth. "We'll be going now."
