"Hi Sophia... do you remember me? Hermione?" the girl stated hopefully. Sophia looked overwhelmed at the four that looked at her as if they knew her well, but couldn't quite recall them to their full extent. She nervously fiddled with her fingers and shuffled her feet against the hard wood floor, her eye contact wavering between each of them.

"I-I sort of remember...." Sophia admitted. "It's nice to meet you... again?"

"And these two are mine," Molly gestured to the two redheads. "Do you remember Ron and Ginny?"

"I think so," Sophia attempted to smile at them and they returned it.

"I hope you're feeling better," Ginny stated and the girl nodded back gratefully.

"And then this is Harry," Molly gestured to the last boy who stood there anxiously. When Sophia's eyes landed on him, he gave her a weak smile in which she returned.

"Nice to meet you," Harry cringed to himself at his lame greeting but Sophia clearly appreciated it.

"Nice to meet you too," Sophia nodded to all four gratefully, finding herself relaxing in their presence. Hermione was basically itching to chat but didn't want to overwhelm her too much, and Ginny also wanted to see what Sophia remembered and what she didn't.

"Now that that's settled, I'll make up some lunch," Molly announced and patted Sophia's shoulder before leaving back towards the stove. Bill and Fleur were settled at the kitchen table discussing other things, Ron glancing enviously for a moment at the half Veela. This made him receive a look from Hermione which eventually stopped his actions. George the Pygmy Puff was perched on Sophia's shoulder and it eventually caught Ginny's eye who had a very similar animal gifted to her by Fred and George.

"Oh I see you have a Pygmy Puff," Ginny pointed to the pink ball that chirped gleefully from Sophia's shoulder. She glanced over and remembered that he had indeed jumped up on to her shoulder when she went to leave Fred and George's room.

"O-Oh yes," Sophia nodded and patted his head lightly. "His name is George."

"From the man himself I'm guessing?" Ron spoke up bemusedly. "Ginny's got one too named Arnold."

"I've brought him along if you'd like to see him. Pygmy Puff's love play dates," Ginny offered and Sophia beamed with a nod. This made the youngest Weasley leave up towards her room where her trunk would be and Hermione guided Sophia to sit on the sofa with her. Harry and Ron took their places in the armchairs again and all anxiously exchanged a look.

"Do you remember Crookshanks at all?" Hermione decided to ask, picking up the ginger cat and holding him still on her lap.

"Oh yes vaguely. He's very cute," Sophia nodded and reached over to scratch behind the feline's ear, making him purr but kept his narrowed eyes pinned on the Pygmy Puff on Sophia's shoulder. The cat licked his lips instinctively and George the puff shuffled closer to Sophia's neck with wary squeaking sounds.

"Better keep George away from that beast," Ron warned from the armchair. "That pig will eat anything he can get his mangy paws on."

"Be quiet Ronald," Hermione hissed. "Crookshanks would never harm a Pygmy Puff."

"Pfft you haven't been around when he's seen Arnold," Ron fought back. "He has eyes like a hawk when Ginny comes into the room. Just you watch."

Hermione rolled her eyes and Sophia softly smiled at the quarreling. She had a vague memory of Hermione and Ron always engaging in pointless and contradicting arguments. It was quite refreshing to have one unfold in front of her. It made her remember how times were when being around these people she knew as her friends. She tried to make herself familiar with some of the events she did remember but they all just seemed so far away. They were hazy like they had happened in a previous life. Some details were misted over and some were as clear as day. She remembered a particular rat that would constantly be chased by Crookshanks but she couldn't remember what the rat was called or who it belonged to. It was like her brain was selective on what it chose to pull out from her past memories.

Ginny had eventually come back down the stairs with a similar Pygmy Puff to George. Sophia had set George down and watched as he ran to Arnold across the rug, eventually nuzzling noses together affectionately. Ron made a fleeting comment about the two brewing a relationship making Sophia laugh lightly. The four were relieved to hear even the smallest of giggles out of the girl and they continued to attempt to get her to laugh whenever they could. Ron would always be the most successful even when he wasn't trying.

Sophia had been continuously glancing up at the clock when it had struck four o'clock in the afternoon. The four didn't want to say anything but undoubtedly noticed that all throughout the hour, she would glance up at the clock that displayed every member of the Weasley family and where they were. They didn't know that she was solely watching the hand that held young pictures of both Fred and George, and it slowly moved from 'Work' to 'In transit'.

She immediately jumped up from the sofa and headed towards the front door, leaving the four thoroughly confused. They glanced at each other as she walked outside and sat down on the porch steps, anxiously staring out into the field in front of her. The sky was now a burnt orange and a small wind had begun to pick up, pushing Sophia's short hair to sway along with the long grass surrounding The Burrow.

"Er Mrs Weasley?" Harry called out in a confused tone. The woman looked up from the sink and looked at the four who were staring out the window that showed Sophia's on the porch steps. "Why is Sophia sitting outside?"

"Oh she waits for Fred and George to come home at five o'clock," Molly beamed. "She does it every day."

True enough, Fred and George eventually emerged from the field and came in to view. Sophia jumped up from the steps and threw her arms around Fred's shoulders, making him pick up her up from the ground and embrace her tightly with his arms around her middle. The two displayed bright smiles and the four onlookers even found themselves hinting their own smiles. Sophia looked so ecstatic to see Fred and it warmed everyone's hearts to see the obvious love in both of their eyes.

"I'm glad you're home," Sophia stated as Fred put her feet back down on the floor, letting George also embrace her. She had thankfully become much more relaxed around George and had begun to treat him like how she used to. He may not be able to joke and tease her as much as he used to, but George was just happy to be able to hug her when the time was right and have his best friend back again.

"We can tell love," Fred mused. Sophia beamed back at him before taking his hand into hers, swinging it back and forth like she used. He felt the bubbly feeling start up in his stomach again and couldn't help but indulge in the feeling of having Sophia's small hand en-laced with his and see the bright smile that was on her face. She was slowly starting to go back to normal again. She might even be able to go back to Hogwarts soon and go back to finishing her education.

"How's it hangin' kiddies?" George greeted as he walked through the front door, spotting his younger siblings and their friends in the living room.

"Hey guys," Ginny greeted back and got up to embrace her older brothers. Ron rolled his eyes at the entrance of the two, knowing full well they'll start the constant teasing they always did to him for no reason at all. That is unless Ginny had sent them a personal letter about Ron's new clingy admirer Lavender Brown. That would mean even more teasing than usual.

"You're not gonna get up and hug us Ronnie-kins?" Fred questioned as he did a brotherly hug with Bill who was still sitting in the kitchen with Fleur.

"Not bloody likely," Ron mumbled to himself and stayed sitting.

"Ronald, get up off your bottom and greet your brothers properly," Molly instructed as she swung her wooden spoon in his general direction. Ron grimaced as he forced himself up from his chair and made his way grumpily over to where Fred and George stood. The twins opened their arms out widely with mocking grins on their faces, tackling Ron to the floor in what they would defend as a 'hug'. Sophia covered her mouth to suppress a loud laugh at the sight of Ron being crushed by the tall lanky twins who cooed as if their brother was a little baby.

"Awww it's so nice to see you Ickle-Ronnie," George awed while rubbing his cheek against the side of Ron's head.

"It's been ever so lonely without you in the shop. No one to hold-" Fred started.

"No one to love-" George continued.

"No one to get up for-"

"No one to hug."

"Get off me you massive lumps of fat!" Ron cried as he wiggled about on the floor, flailing his arms about in protest. Crookshanks had even decided to saunter over and sit directly on Ron's face, making the scene even more amusing for onlookers. Harry, Ginny, Hermione and Sophia burst into laughter at the sight of Ron being smothered by his brothers and the cat he despised.

"Ah what a sight to walk in on," Arthur's voice was heard from the doorway, making everyone turn to see him holding his briefcase and hat in hand with an amused expression on his face.

"Dad!" Ginny cried and hugged the man, having not seen him since before the start of the school term. The man returned the hug and Molly ushered Fred and George off of Ron so that he too could embrace his father.

"Sophia, your father wanted me to inform you that he'll be spending Christmas with Tonks' family this year," Arthur mentioned as he hugged his youngest children. "He said he's terribly sorry he couldn't be here."

"O-Oh that's okay..." Sophia murmured but obviously showed it wasn't okay. In the time she had gotten to know Remus, she had indeed worked out that he was her father and that they once held a very strong father and daughter relationship. She wasn't completely comfortable with him like she was with Fred, George and Molly but she did trust him. She had wanted to maybe return to their close relationship they had but he had seemed a little off about it. Remus was obviously hurt from the unfamiliarity Sophia associated him with at first but she was trying. They had even spent one evening going through the minimal photos he and Molly had that had the two of them in, pointing out various people in the one they had all taken at Christmas. But it still just wasn't the same, and Remus had tried his best to show that he wasn't upset by it. But Sophia was too sharp for that even in her dishevelled state.

"Don't worry love, Christmas with us is much more exciting than with Tonks' parents," Fred reassured and pressed his lips against the side of her head comfortingly.

"Yeah they're old and losing it a little bit," George added while turning his finger in circles next to head to mimic someone who was crazy. Sophia cracked a smile at the two's attempt, making the twins beam proudly at each other at yet another successful attempt at making her smile.

After a hefty dinner made by Mrs Weasley, the woman had stated that she was yet to put the Christmas tree and decorations up. With Christmas only two days away, she said that she had wanted to wait for all the family to come home so they could put them up manually together. She also made it clear that they weren't allowed to use any magic as that spoils the usually festive activity of putting up the decorations.

"Dibs the tree!" Fred and George announced at the same time before turning to glare at each other.

"Now we're not having any arguing," Molly said before they could start fighting. "Fred, you can put the tree up with Sophia. George, you get the other decorations box from the loft."

George groaned obnoxiously while Fred grabbed Sophia's hand and pulled her towards living room where the tree was sat plainly in the corner. Bill had thankfully gone out this morning to chop down a tree from a nearby forest but it had been left in the living room without any colour or lights on it that would deem it a worthy Christmas tree. Sophia reached down for the wound up roll of lights that sat on the floor and headed towards the greenery, only to be stopped by Fred.

"What are you doing?" he asked.

"Putting the lights on?" Sophia replied as a sort of question.

"No, tinsel goes on first," he shook his head and picked up the silvery tinsel that was sitting next to his feet.

"What? No, lights go on first," she persisted.

"That's mad. Who puts lights on first?"

"You're mad! Who puts tinsel on first?!"
