Sophia took Molly's offer to hide away in Fred and George's room when the Order had their meeting. Fred had wanted to stay with her but decided against it when Molly had informed the others that he was the only one that Sophia was comfortable with completely. This fascinated them and they wanted hear more, even asking to get Sophia to come out and sit with them. This was obviously not going to happen, but Fred did reluctantly sit in the kitchen with the Order for the meeting.

"She knew us," George stated to the group. "But it's like we're strangers to her. She only knows our names and basic knowledge."

"Sounds to me like an Obliviation spell gone wrong," Arthur suggested.

"No it's nothing like that," Mad-Eye grunted. The Weasleys' resisted the urge to roll their eyes at the man's usual contradiction but listened anyway, his eye watching them closely for any sign of daring to speak up against him. "It's got to be some sort of coping method. We can't know for sure unless we see for ourselves, but I think that she was indeed tortured physically as well as mentally. We know how Lestrange is with her mental curses. She could have tortured the girl into madness like she did to the Longbottoms' if she wanted to."

"So you think she forced herself to forget us?" Fred asked, hating the image of Sophia wanting to forget about anything and everything she knew.

"Not just us," Remus butted in, lightly surprising everyone. The man had spent most of their meetings in silence while sitting with his hand enclosed in Tonks', who would sometimes speak for him. "I don't think she remembers anything but her name. I doubt she remembers any magic. It's like she's a child again..."

"But... what about me?" Fred inquired again. "Why does she only remember me?"

"If I might cut in-" Dumbledore spoke politely after not saying a word since the beginning of the meeting. "-I believe that she obviously was and is very fond of you Mr Weasley. She may have only been able to latch on to one thing while going through this torturous time. It may be possible that Sophia forced herself to only focus on the one thing she knows is safe and means no harm to her. I'm not aware of Miss Lestrange's abilities when it comes to Occlumency but it could also explain this. She might have wanted to have as much of her thoughts and memories hidden. I do know that unfortunately Harry's failure at Occlumency did lead to Sophia's capture. They had been watching her through him for most of last year."

"We can't know for sure," Mad-Eye said gruffly. "We need to look into her memories. Find out what she told them and what they did to her. And the only way is either Occlumency or Albus's Pensieve-"

"Absolutely not," both Fred and Remus stopped him at the same time. They glanced at each other and mentally agreed that they would not allow this invasion of Sophia's mind. Not only was it unethical, it would be painful for someone who had just gone through three months of intense physical and emotional torture.

"I have to agree with Mad-Eye," Bill joined as he looked back and forth between Fred and Remus who wore hard looks. "It's the only way we can get the full explanation. It'll help us help her get better too."

"I know for a fact she won't let us do it willingly," Remus shot back angrily. "Regardless of that, she would lose all sense of trust that she barely has now! I will not allow this."

"Remus, it would help with her mental state if we use the Pensieve," Dumbledore urged with his most gentle smile. "We can pull the memories away from her. She won't have to suffer with them at such ferocity."

Both Fred and Remus still looked entirely unconvinced making the table deflate with a sigh. They were still completely in the dark about what happened yet they had the ability to find out. Mad-Eye could be seen with a harsh look on his face as his enlarged eye flickered between Remus and Fred, not understanding what the issue was. But the man was never one for sentimental issues and emotions in general. If it were up to him, he would have held the girl down with a petrifying curse and extract the memories from Sophia's skull himself. But for some reason, that was frowned upon.

"If I could be so bold Fred-" Dumbledore spoke up through the silence again, shocking Fred with the first name calling. "-would I be able to see Sophia? I'd like to have a small chat with her and maybe make her feel a little more comfortable."

Just being asked formally by Professor Dumbledore was baffling for Fred in itself. It made him feel quite responsible and like a true adult at being asked for permission to see Sophia. And he even used his first name rather than his last, making him feel formally addressed and important to the Headmaster. Because of his politeness and authoritative address, Fred found himself leading the old man through the hallway and up the stairs towards his and George's room. The Order stayed in the kitchen with other discussions while Fred reached the door and grabbed the doorknob.

"Just... please be gentle," as soon as Fred said it, he felt like the biggest idiot in the whole world. When had Albus Dumbledore, the Headmaster of Hogwarts, ever been unkind to a young witch or wizard? It was even said that he had been kind and trusted by Tom Riddle himself when he was a student. But none the less, Dumbledore nodded to Fred with his kind smile.

"Of course," he stated and Fred bit his lip nervously. He opened the door and allowed the man to walk in after him, slightly embarrassed by his childhood room. His and George's walls were covered in Quidditch and Zonko's posters with bright orange furniture that was obviously second hand. But Fred reminded himself why he was here and that Dumbledore wouldn't even notice anything other than the girl that sat on the bed furthest from the door.

Sophia sat crossed-legged on Fred's duvet covers with her new Pygmy Puff named George in her hands. She had been watching him scurry in circles on the bed before scooping him up into her palms when she heard the door open. Expecting to see Fred or even George, she looked up with a bright smile on her face only to have it freeze. Fred had indeed walked in but was followed by an elderly looking man wearing light blue robes. His beard was long and white and he wore half moon spectacles that covered his clear blue eyes.

"Hello Sophia," Dumbledore greeted and she had half a mind to run and hide behind Fred, but refrained herself from doing so. If Fred had brought him in here, he must be friendly and safe.

"H-Hello..." Sophia greeted back, now avoiding the man's eyes by looking down at George the Pygmy Puff that chirped in her hands.

"I'm Albus Dumbledore, do you remember me at all?" he asked. He made sure to not move from his place beside Fred and only stared at her from a safe and spacious distance.

"I-I... I think so..." she replied as her eyebrows pinched together in deep thought. She knew the man yet it was like she hadn't heard or seen him in years. His appearance was obviously memorable yet Sophia couldn't make out any past conversations with him or if she even personally knew him at all. He could have been a man she had seen on the street one time and his odd look had stamped itself into her memory.

"I am Headmaster at Hogwarts, the school you have been attending for the past three years," Dumbledore explained and started to walk towards her. She didn't cower away but did pull her legs closer towards herself for precaution. He sat down on the end of Fred's bed as he spoke yet made sure to keep a distance from her that she felt secure with.

"Oh... I remember Hogwarts..." Sophia nodded almost to herself.

"Do you remember any of your classes?" Dumbledore asked. "I seem to recall that you quite enjoyed Astronomy."

Something definitely hit a nerve in Sophia. Fred had been analysing her reactions to Dumbledore's questions thoroughly, ready to jump in if she looked at him pleadingly or worriedly. And he didn't fail to notice the way her lips parted and her eyes widened, immediately tearing up as soon as the man asked about the particular subject. Sophia began to shuffle further away from Dumbledore, leaving George the Pygmy Puff to scurry up towards the pillow of the bed and rest there. She began to shake her head continuously with her whole demeanor changing to one that was afraid and immensely uncomfortable.

"I don't have it," she retorted shakily. "I-I don't have it. I don't know where it is, I swear!"

"Don't know where what is?" Dumbledore continued to question, seeming to not be effected by her sudden change in behaviour.

"Alright that's enough," Fred stepped forward and sped to where Sophia was huddling against the headboard of the bed. She had resulted to her curled up position with her face burying into her kneecaps, tears streaming down her cheeks.

"Please Mr Weasley, I just want to-"

"I don't know where the map is! Please leave me alone! I-I don't know where...p-please don't hurt me..." Sophia sobbed as Fred took her into his arms. As soon as he had gotten close enough, Sophia jumped up from the bed and attempted to hide herself in his tall frame, turning her head to face the opposite way from the man that sat calmly on the bed. "I don't know where it is Fred... I s-swear I don't know..."

Fred didn't know what Sophia was really talking about but embraced her anyway, stroking her short hair comfortingly as she silently cried into his jacket. Dumbledore stood up from the edge of the bed and started to make his way back towards the door, leaving the two to their embracing. Fred followed the man with penetrating eyes all the way to the door and watched as he turned to them one last time before leaving.

"Thank you for your time Sophia, Mr Weasley," he nodded to them before leaving back down the hall and presumably towards the kitchen. It didn't bother Fred that the man had returned to calling him by his last name because he was actually quite angry with him. He had thought that Dumbledore would have just introduced himself and maybe jog her memory about Hogwarts and the learning basic magic. But instead, he had upset Sophia and then continued to question on the topic that she obviously wasn't comfortable with. This was exactly what he was afraid of. Sophia wasn't stable enough to start answering questions about her torture. But Dumbledore just saw it as the start of getting to know the reason of Sophia's capture and torture. And it had something to do with her Sky map.

"I don't know I don't know I don't know..." Sophia whispered to herself and Fred had to physically shut his eyes to focus on blocking out her painful pleas.

Harry, Ron, Hermione and Ginny soon returned to The Burrow for their Christmas break. Molly, Bill and Fleur picked them up from King's Cross station and had taken a Muggle taxi to the rural field where the house could be seen in the distance. Charlie would unfortunately be staying in Romania for Christmas as his job had been requiring him more frequently. He had tried to come to as many Order meetings as he could but he was starting to be seen less and less.

The four Hogwarts students were aware that Sophia had been awake for a while now and were anxious to see her. They had been warned about her wariness and hoped that she would recognise them immediately. They walked through the front door and Bill whisked all their trunks upstairs, leaving them to turn into the living room while chatting avidly.

"Snape's really got it out for me this year," Ron groaned.

"Maybe if you actually did the homework he set, he wouldn't be so awful to you," Hermione scoffed as she sat down on the sofa, Crookshanks jumping up on to her lap and settling down for a snooze.

"Are you sticking up for him?!" Ron cried. "It wouldn't make a difference if I did his homework or not. The greasy git has got it out for me regardless."

Harry laughed along with Ginny at his friend's complaining, enjoying the feeling of being back in the place he called home second to Hogwarts. In the corner of his eye, he caught a sudden movement near the staircase that lead up to the second floor. He turned his head fully and saw Sophia standing there, obviously under the illusion that she was hidden by the wall of the hallway that eventually opened up into the living room. Some of her bandages had been taken off and allowed Harry to see some rather ghastly looking scabs and scrapes. He noticed that her hair had been evened out and she looked much more normal compared to the last time he had seen her. She wore a long white shirt that reached to the middle of her thighs and some loose sweatpants, bandages only being seen on her face and arms.

"Is that Sophia?!" Hermione suddenly cried and Harry whipped his head back around to face his friends. Hermione had also caught the small movement and saw the outline of a figure hiding behind the wall, peering at them with curious and anxious eyes. At Hermione confrontation, Ron and Ginny whipped their heads around also causing the figure to shrink back behind the wall completely.
