Going back to the flat for the twins was the worst. When Fred and George announced they would be heading home for the night, Sophia had gone into a state of intense panic. Fred had only made it to the front door when Sophia stumbled up out of her seat on the sofa and followed after him with teary eyes.

"Y-You're not leaving are you? You said you wouldn't leave Fred!" she cried while standing in front of the two boys. Fred exchanged a look with Molly and Remus who sat in the armchairs behind Sophia before biting his lip harshly at Sophia's frantic expression.

"I'll be back tomorrow love," Fred stated as he took hold of Sophia's hand, caressing the bandages with his thumb. "I promise. I'm not leaving forever. I wouldn't do that to you."

"B-But..." Sophia tried to argue but trailed off weakly.

Fred watched as Sophia face fell completely and his heart quivered at the sight. Her tense shoulders slouched and she backed away from him, her hand slipping out his large one. She walked back towards the sofa and sat down with her knees pulled up to her chest, taking her form of a curled up ball once again. Fred felt awful to see her like this and looked between George and his mother for some sort of guidance. He couldn't leave George to tend to the shop without him as he had already been away for a full day already. It wasn't right to be absent from his own shop after only just really having the grand open. But then there was Sophia who was afraid and terrified to be away from him after she was tortured for three months. And it made him feel guilty for leaving her even for the night. He was definitely between a rock and a hard place.

"Just go dear," Molly encouraged quietly to him and George. "I'll get her into bed soon anyway."

Fred reluctantly nodded and walked out the door after George, keeping his gaze on the girl in the corner of the sofa. His stomach sunk as he got further and further away from The Burrow and apparated away once him and George had made it outside the barrier. They would have to come back tomorrow anyway for meeting, but that could feel like a lifetime for Sophia.

Remus sat in the armchair watching his daughter's closed off posture with despair and sorrow. She hadn't talked to him at all since he had arrived but she had stared at him occasionally when she thought he wasn't looking. He was content with the familiarity that would glaze over her eyes but would be overjoyed to embrace her and indulge in the fact that Sophia was alive. It was an unbearable feeling to have your own flesh and blood not realise who you are or how important they are to you. It was also quite infuriating to have her constantly hide behind Fred and Fred only. He seemed to be the only one she recognised, and that was heart breaking for Remus.

Luckily for Molly, Sophia had tired herself out completely from the day. The girl fell asleep on the sofa with her head leaning against the arm rest and her legs still cuddled close to her chest. Considering on how severe her injuries still were, Molly was amazed that Sophia had stayed awake for as long as she did. But she was now in a deep sleep which made the job of getting her into bed so much easier. If she were to be awake, she would probably react the same way she did this morning if Molly had tried to get her back to her temporary room.

"I'll take her..." Remus offered quietly, standing with his wand in hand ready to levitate her. Molly was hesitant for a moment seeing as he had been so irrational before he had found out Sophia wasn't her usual self. The woman still hadn't heard him apologise to Fred for his unnecessary and out of proportion behaviour, but none the less let him take Sophia to Bill and Charlie's room. He then left for the night while saying he would be here for the meeting tomorrow evening.

Molly hadn't expected to walk into her son's room again the next morning to only have a wash of déjà vu overcome her. Charlie's bed was empty once again with the bed covers pulled back in their same position from yesterday. The woman had half a mind to panic again but thought better of it, heading straight up to Fred and George's room with hopes of finding her there. She sighed in relief when she saw the girl cuddled under the orange duvet that was undoubtedly Fred's and was even more relieved to see that Sophia was awake.

"Thought you'd be up here," Molly mused lightly and watched as Sophia sat up in bed while looking back at the woman cautiously. Sophia analysed Molly who walked over to the window next to the wardrobe and pulled it open, letting the fresh air fly into the musty room that hadn't been used since the boys had left to live in their flat. She looked outside into the field that surrounded the Burrow, much preferring the view and feel of this room rather than the one downstairs.

"I-Is Fred here?" Sophia questioned softly while avoiding Molly's eyes that whipped around to her in light surprise. Hearing the girl talk to her without sobbing or quivering in fear was a huge step she hadn't anticipated to take so early. But Molly wasn't complaining.

"No unfortunately not dear," Molly cooed while withholding the giant smile that fought its way on to her face. "Him and George will be here later tonight for the Order meeting. In the meantime, would you like some breakfast?"

At the sound of food, Sophia tried not to get up too quickly in excitement. Having to settle with soup for the past few meals had become boring even for her. So she settled on giving Molly the smallest of nods and making the woman beam at having the job to make a meal. Sophia wasn't sure why she was warming up to this woman so quickly, but she couldn't help it. The Weasley carried a warm and comforting aurora that Sophia hadn't noticed when she had previously shrunk away into the corner of the room. She gave Sophia the motherly love that she thought would be impossible to receive after what she had experienced. Sophia liked Molly.

Sophia sat at the table in the kitchen slowly chewing at the toast and poached eggs that sat on the plate in front of her. Molly had presented her with this breakfast with so much generosity that Sophia wondered if it was another hallucination. But when she started to eat the meal and drink at the hefty glass of orange juice, she knew it was real and just pleading for her to shovel down. Molly was ecstatic to even stand in the same room as the girl and busied herself with some more manual dish washing in the sink to hide her excitement.

"How is it dear?" Molly asked and Sophia nodded modestly with the smallest of smiles, pleasing Molly more than she could show. Once she could eat no more, Molly took her dishes and started to wash them with a spring in her step. When Sophia got up from the chair to retreat back into either Fred and George's room or Bill or Charlie's room, Molly hastily stopped her with a call of her name.

"I was wondering if you'd like me to maybe-" she picked up a pair of thin silver scissors from the kitchen counter to show Sophia. "-fix your hair up for you. I used to do it all the time for my boys and a little trim wouldn't hurt. Would you like that?"

Molly got Sophia to sit on one of the kitchen table chairs out on the front porch of The Burrow, before she started to snip at her uneven hair. The woman had said that it would make it much easier to just let the natural wind blow the fallen hair away rather than have it pile onto the floor in the house. It also let Sophia stare out into the never ending field that swayed in the wind, calming her thoughts and visibly relaxing her. Molly cheerfully evened up the sides of Sophia's short brown hair, matching the back with the front in a rather stylish fashion.

"Now quite a few people will be here tonight for the meeting," Molly talked while cutting at one particular portion of Sophia's hair. "I know it may be overwhelming for you so please don't hesitate to stay in Fred and George's room if that's what you're comfortable with. Some of the Order can be quite intimidating. Especially that Moody. Such a butch man. And I never liked that Mundungus fellow. Little pikey he is-"

"Alright Mum, don't ramble her to death."

The two shot their heads up to see Fred and George emerge from the field and make their way into the clearing, George being the one who had spoken up with an amused grin. A wide smile spread on to Sophia's face at the sight and jumped up from the chair, ignoring that fact that Molly's scissors had just been prepared to chop a huge chunk out of her hair. The woman had been lucky enough to stop herself in time as Sophia ran down the porch steps and threw her arms around Fred's middle and burying her face into his chest. Fred wrapped his own arms around her and cuddled her against him, smiling happily to himself at the fact of seeing her smile for the first time since her return.

"I thought you two weren't coming until this evening?" Molly questioned as she dusted off the hair that had caught on to her apron, giving George a motherly kiss on the cheek as he stepped up on to the porch.

"Business was slow today. We just decided to close in the end," George shrugged. "It is Sunday anyway."

The truth was that most of Diagon Alley had closed completely. The threat and fear of Death Eaters roaming up and down the street while continuously raiding the shops had made all the well known Wizarding stores board up their windows. Ollivanders had even been trashed and raided, leaving Weasley Wizard Wheezes as the last one to be thriving on the street. But even they were struggling on a Sunday.

"How are you feeling today love?" Fred asked as he cupped Sophia's face with kind and warm eyes.

"I'm okay..." she beamed back. "I'm glad you're back..."

"You missed me then?" he teased.

"Of course," Sophia replied seriously and grabbed hold of his hand, pulling him into the house after George and Molly. Fred was surprised at how much better of a mood Sophia was in today. You wouldn't believe that just last night she was nearly in tears when he had said he was leaving for the night. She seemed much more settled and friendly even towards Molly. Everyone had expected for it to take at least maybe a week to get Sophia to believe that she really was safe at The Burrow, and that no one was there to hurt her. But it was definitely not a bad thing that it would now probably only take two to three days to have her warm up to George as well.

Fred had strategically sat himself down in the space next to the armrest of the sofa, forcing Sophia to take the spot next to him. He ushered with his eyes for George to take the last seat on the end, putting the girl in between the two brothers. George hesitantly did so and tried to shrink himself towards the armrest in order to give Sophia the space she needed, but he was far too tall to do so. He feared that Sophia would shrink into Fred's side and burst into tears from the man who she had looked at as a monster only the day before.

"Georgie brought you something today Sophia," Fred spoke up making both George and Sophia look up at him with confused looks.

"Really?" she questioned.

"I did?" George followed and Fred glared at him from over the top of Sophia's head who turned to the twin with a cautious yet curious look.

"Yes, you did," Fred urged before patting at the right-breast of his own brown jacket suggestively. George was puzzled but none the less reached into his pocket that sat on the inside of his suit jacket, before pulling whatever was inside to hold out to Sophia. In his hand sat a bubble gum pink Pygmy Puff that squeaked gleefully in his palm, shocking both George and Sophia. The girl gasped at the small fluff ball that made chirping sort of sounds as it gazed up at her with its big blue eyes.

"Oh Merlin..." she muttered and carefully took the puff into her hands, being extra careful while staring at it in amazement. "Thank you George... it's adorable!"

"O-Oh that's alright..." he tried his best to smile at her before jerking his head to glare at Fred and started to whisper in a harsh tone. "You snuck a Pygmy Puff into my pocket?! That poor thing could have suffocated in there!"

"Well it didn't, so be grateful," Fred hushed back. "And look at how happy you made her."

George looked back at Sophia who was starting to caress the animal's fur with a close-lipped smile on her face, eyes beaming brightly at the small critter. Both of the boys' hearts softened at the sight and George felt his lips pull into a lop-sided grin. She even let him stroke the Pygmy Puff's head while it sat in her palms. George suddenly felt like he was talking with his best friend again. It made him feel much more involved and happy to be accepted by the once reluctant person.

"What are you gonna name him?" Fred asked as he leaned over Sophia's shoulder.

"George," she answered as she smiled gratefully at the youngest of the boys and the boy felt whole again.
