《Ethereal ✭Fred Weasley✭》55.

When Remus had heard the news, he had never apparated fast. He had just spent the night in his house in his wolf form, curled up on the floor of his bedroom after taking the potion he had learnt to make from his daughter. But when his fireplace had suddenly lit up with Sirius Black's face, Remus was in a state of panic as he dressed himself and headed out the door of the house. The event was familiar to him and he had to remind himself where he was and where he was going. It was like the dreaded memory of when he had learnt Hazel had been torn apart by the Death Eater he feared most besides the Darkest Lord of them all. He had rushed out of the house much the same as now, only it was the house of Lily and James Potter. Remus had given his only child to the couple who also had baby Harry at the time, before rushing away to accompany the other Order members that were rushing to the scene. It was a big risk to leave Sophia with the couple that were in danger of the spoken prophecy but he was so boggled by the news of his wife's death that he didn't care. And finding Hazel there on the Muggle street almost unrecognisable nearly drove him mad. It was only the thought of baby Sophia being at the Potters' house that had stopped him from slipping into a finalising breakdown.
Arriving at Grimmauld Place was surreal. Remus entered into the hallway to see Sirius standing in the doorway of what was the living room, the two meeting halfway in a quiet discussion.
"Where is she?" Remus immediately asked.
"She's fine, she's in there," Sirius motioned his head to the room behind him.
"And Harry?"
"Arrived just now."
"What did Albus say?" Remus asked again, basically itching to push past his best friend and rush into the living room to see his daughter for himself.
"Haven't heard from him yet. But we should have a meeting soon," Sirius explained.
"I don't think they'll want one so close to Christmas," Remus doubted.
"Well that's tough. This could be it," Sirius shrugged his shoulders with a stern look. The door behind them opened and closed once again, making the two friends turn to see Molly Weasley step into the hallway. The woman's face had a grey tinge to it and was sunken into a look of despair, sniffling once into a well used handkerchief that was in her hand. The two men sympathetically parted for her to venture further into the hallway, only giving them a nod on her way to the living room where she knew her children were safe and sound. Remus and Sirius followed after her and were greeted with the sight of the furniture all being occupied by sleeping Hogwarts students.
Ron was sitting on one sofa with his face in his hands, quiet in his light state of sleep. Ginny occupied the armchair curled up in an uncomfortable looking position and George was sitting nearby on the long sofa. Harry sat next to the first twin as the only one awake, staring aimlessly at the wall opposite him. The last sofa was occupied by both Fred and Sophia who were laying on top of each other in the deepest of sleeps out of everyone. Fred laid as a second mattress for Sophia as she lay comfortably on top of him, the side of her cheek smooshed against his dressing gown.

Harry noticed the entrance of the three adults and stood up from his seat, walking over to Molly Weasley who welcomed him in a motherly hug. The woman appreciated the boy and forced a sad smile on to her old face.
"Thank you Harry... you saved him," Molly's voice cracked slightly and she cupped Harry's slim face in her palms. Harry gave her an appreciative smile and turned to look at Sirius who was leaning once again against the door frame with Remus standing next to him. Harry noticed how dishevelled Remus looked with dark bags under his tired eyes and his lank hair even sported a few grey strands.
At the sound of Mrs Weasley's voice, the remainder of the children woke up one after another. Ginny was the first to stand and embrace her mother, asking quickly about the situation of their Father. Harry stood back for a moment to let the Weasleys' embrace their uninjured parent, watching as Sophia too distanced herself from the family. Remus smiled lightly when he met eyes with her, walking forward to hug her small frame. Harry couldn't help but feel a slight stabbing pain inside him at the sight of the two families embracing each other at such a time, feeling himself suddenly getting angry again. He looked away from them to the floor only to meet eyes with his godfather who watched him from a far, motioning his head out of the room and into the hallway. The two left and decided to have their discussion privately.
"You just had your transformation didn't you?" Sophia questioned when she pulled away from Remus. She noticed his exhausted aurora and lank looking hair; feeling like this day was just filled with negative energy and a bad feeling. None the less, Remus just smiled at her with his fatherly smile.
"That's nothing to do with right now," the man said with a wave of his hand. "The good thing is that you're alright."
"I don't think I should be worried about right now," she glumly said while glancing at the Weasley family. The two Lupins' overheard Molly saying that Arthur was at St. Mungos Hospital and Bill is currently there with him.
"Still, I worry," Remus turned back to her with a sincere look in his eyes.
"Dumbledore talked to me too..." she confessed and Remus's smile dropped for a moment. That crazy old man, he thought. What did he spill to his Daughter that he had worked so hard to keep hidden from her?
"What did he say?" he dared to ask.
"He said-" she glanced over her shoulder to ensure Harry was out of the room and the Weasleys' weren't listening. "-to stay away from Harry."
Remus breathed a small sigh of relief at the fact that nothing had been jeopardised too badly. Dumbledore had kept to their agreement and hadn't informed Sophia of anything she didn't need to know yet. Although, she was now suspicious of why Harry was the way he was and that she was involved with it somehow. But that could be handled.

"Right well... it's best you do so," Remus nodded.
"We can go see him now," Molly's voice caught the two's attention. The Weasleys' nodded and began to head upstairs to find their trunks that Dumbledore had transported to their bedrooms from their dorms. Sophia went to follow but was stopped by her father taking hold of her arm.
"You can't go," he said and knew what was coming before she even said anything. The look on her face showed she was ready to lash out into defensive questions and Remus was not in the mood for it. "Don't argue with me. You're staying here with Sirius and I."
With a huff, she took a seat back on the sofa with her arms crossed. She resisted the urge to pout like a child as Remus left the room and went into the kitchen with Molly and Sirius to make the Weasley Mother a cup of tea. Sophia wanted so badly to just disobey her father all together and walk out into the street to scream. She had spent her time at Hogwarts following his wishes of trying to stay low (excluding the detention with Umbridge that he didn't yet know about) and now she had to continue to do so while on her Christmas break. She knew she would have to stay in this dark house for the whole two weeks while her friends would be able to go to Diagon Alley and other magical places. It also didn't ease her that Harry would most likely be in the same position, meaning him and her would most likely be in the same room together at some point. This was yet again, disobeying an adult's wishes. That was all she ever did now. Listen to everyone else rather than herself.
When the Weasleys' left for the hospital with Harry in toe, Sophia, Sirius and Remus were left sitting in the kitchen in silence. Sirius didn't want to say anything as the tension between the father and daughter could be cut with a knife, making him resort to twiddling his wand in his hands. Sophia sat with her arms crossed and leaned back in the chair, her father opposite her with his crossed arms leaning on the table and hunched forward to look at her with an expecting look. He refrained from asking about the odd looking bruise that was seen on her hand as well as the position he had found her and Fred in when he entered into the living room a few hours earlier.
"Am I the weapon?"
Her sudden question had made the two men straighten in their seats with wide eyes. Sophia stayed looking at the wood of the table with hooded eyes, waiting for one of them to speak up. Remus gave Sirius a look that almost taunted him for having such a blabber mouth from their past Order meeting, before turning back to the girl with an urge to obliviate her of the memory.
"I saw the look you two had before I left for school. About You Know Who looking for a weapon," she elaborated but she knew they knew what she was talking about. "Am I this weapon?"
"Yes," Sirius spoke and received a harsh glare from Remus who was just preparing to say 'no'. The man sheepishly shrugged at his friend before looking down at the table to let the Lupins' work it out for themselves. He thought he had definitely done enough.
"Don't try lying Dad," Sophia stated to Remus once he forced himself to look at her. "I just want to know if I'm what he's so interested in. Everyone else seems to know everything about me before even I do. I think it's only fair you tell me this at least."
Remus looked gravely down at his hands that were linked together in front of him. He had really been put in the deep end here. He had forgotten how bright she was, a trait she definitely didn't take from him. He should have known she would have worked it out for herself without anyone telling her of her involvement. Sirius's sudden blurt back in August was just enough of a blue print for her to pull all the pieces together.
"Mum would of told me..." Sophia's voice was small and reluctant to go so far. Remus's eyes slowly raked up from the table to meet hers once more, her clear irises matching the said woman's so well was not helping his thought process. The mention of Hazel had set him back behind the wall he had built around the topic of his dead wife. He knew how little Sophia knew of her mother yet was willing to use her as a way to finally get some answers out of him. Remus was left with no choice but to cave in, hating how emotional he was starting to become.
"Yes... you are the weapon Voldemort is after," Remus's tone was just as broken and small as Sophia thought it would be. She nodded back at him before slipping into deep thought, trying to decide how she actually felt about her confirmed involvement. Sirius looked over to his best friend's slouched posture and blank face, knowing full well what he was thinking about. But he could do nothing but watch.
