Dumbledore decided to hold a form of a funeral for Cedric Diggory. His body had been taken by his parents but that didn't stop the Headmaster from hanging dark tapestries in the Great Hall and saying a few words to honour the Hogwarts champion. Sophia made sure she was out of the hospital wing for this and attended the speech, making sure to stand beside Harry in a form of comfort for him. It shocked everyone when Dumbledore shamelessly admitted that Cedric was murdered by Lord Voldemort and Sophia could tell that this was going to cause controversy. But for the sake of his memory, it would be wrong to keep his unfortunate cause of death a secret from those who knew him best.

Sophia packed up her trunk in her dormitory and made her way down to the Entrance Hall where everyone was saying their final goodbyes for the year. She winced slightly when she made it to the bottom of the stairs, feeling the strain in her sides that hadn't been a problem before. Considering she was thrown into a deep chest while she was unconscious, she was surprised she hadn't broken any bones from the impact. But she did have one big bruise on the side of her torso from when she hit the ground of the chest, as well as the scrapes on her cheek and hands.

"You'll come to The Burrow this summer right?" George questioned her as she stopped to stand in between him and Fred.

"If my dad lets me," she sighed. "But I somehow don't think he'll be letting me go too far these holidays."

The twin boys exchanged a look over the top of the small girl's head, knowing full well how her Father first reacted to her state after Crouch's capture. George analysed the look Fred had on his face and decided to wander off to bid Angelina goodbye. Fred took the moment of alone time to turn his frame fully to face Sophia to which she noticed and turned to do the same with a curious look.

"You feelin' better then?" he started off, gazing over the white patch that covered the graze on her cheek.

"Yeah, just a few aches and pains. Pomfrey's potion works like a charm," she nodded with a smile. Fred mirrored her expression before looking deeply into her eyes. He didn't want to scare her as she didn't know the full details of her capture by Barty Crouch Jr. ,but he was extremely worried about her. He hadn't heard what Remus had said to Mr and Mrs Weasley and he wished they had maybe discussed it with him as it was obviously to do with Sophia. Fred felt a sudden urge to snatch her up right now and hide her away from anyone that was now interested in her. The act of Death Eater saying that the most feared man in recent times was interested in his girlfriend was a wake up call.

"Stay safe," Fred said plainly, but his eyes said otherwise. "Please."

Sophia didn't know why he was saying this but nodded wordlessly, pursing her lips together at Fred's intense look. He reached out and pulled her into his chest, her being the right height to lean his chin on top of her head. Sophia happily wrapped her arms around his middle and didn't want to think about why he was suddenly so worried. She knew she was in for a sort of whirlwind when she got home to her dad and she just wanted to leave that for when it happens. Seeing Fred over the summer was something she wanted badly but knew the chances were slim, resulting in her enjoying his company while she can.

Arriving back home with her dad was like walking into detention. Although she didn't have to write lines, what Remus had in mind was much worse in her opinion. He sat her down at their rustic dining room table and looked seriously at her through his tired looking eyes. Their house wasn't any different. It still reminded Sophia of the Shrieking Shack with its dirty curtains and dusty-covered furniture. Remus hadn't obviously spent much of his time cleaning while she was away at school.

"You're... you're not going to like me very much this summer I'm afraid," Remus started with what looked like a sympathetic smile. "Just know that it's for your safety."

"You're not sending me off to live with Grandpa Lyall are you?" Sophia grimaced. Remus chuckled lightly and hoped that his daughter would stay as understanding throughout the upcoming conversation.

"No," he answered yet hesitated to continue. "No you won't... you won't be going anywhere much unfortunately."

Sophia didn't think much of this until she later tried to go for a walk one evening. Remus appeared in the living room when she had made to grab the doorknob, making her jump in her spot. He pointed his wand towards the lock and it made a loud click, signalling the unbreakable lock that can't be removed without magic. Being she was still under seventeen, she huffed loudly and stomped back up the stairs to her room. She progressively got more and more annoyed with her father's antics. The constant locking of doors and windows was just the start. It was the refusal to use the family owl that really tipped her over the edge.

"I'm only sending it to Fred," she exclaimed angrily with the letter in her hand. "It's not like I'm contacting the Ministry."

"It doesn't matter Sophia, any letter can threaten your safety," her father said as he fiddled with the end of his wand while looking at her. "I'm sure Fred will survive a few more months without a word from you."

"Why is my safety suddenly so important?!" Sophia cried in a frustrated manner. "Might I remind you that it was Harry who was nearly killed by You Know Who? What do I have to do with any of it?! Why don't I just read the Daily Prophet to get some answers- oh wait! I can't because you won't let me read that either!"

"You don't need to understand, you just need to listen to-"

"How can I listen when I don't understand?!" she cut him off. Yet Remus stood with his blank yet unpersuaded look and left her unanswered once again. Sophia chucked the letter she held on to her bed while fuming at her father's vagueness. She couldn't even entertain herself with some star gazing as her father had taken her map away from her and hidden it somewhere that can't be revealed without magic. He had even resulted to having his transformations every month in his bedroom now, his potion being powerful enough to have him within his wits to be around his daughter. She nearly had no moment to herself while in this house.

There was one moment where Sophia thought she could finally go outside without her father knowing. He had told her that he needed to attend an important meeting and wouldn't be back for a couple of hours, leaving her alone at home for the first time all summer. She went to slip out of the window located in his bedroom, thinking he hadn't bothered to seal it with his wand. But her plan was destroyed when she burnt the tips of her fingers when she attempted to lift the window frame, realising that he had cursed it to be burning hot when touched. This lead a bunch of swear words that her father would faint at her saying. And when he got home that day, Remus didn't even need to ask about the red scabs on her fingertips.

Sophia was lying down on her bed and staring up at the ceiling three weeks before the start of her fifth year at Hogwarts. She had the necklace of the trio of stars in her hand, running her burnt skin over the diamonds that changed colour every few seconds. This was the only thing she currently had that reminded her of Fred making it a staple point in her very agonising holidays. She missed her boyfriend and wished that she had maybe kept hold of the scarf he frequently wrapped around her neck in the Winter. She didn't know if she could last three more weeks in this house, knowing that she'd eventually lose her mind without a breath of fresh air or contact with someone other than her father.

"Pack your things," Remus walked into the room with these words which made her shoot up from her position with a confused look.

"Why? So I can sleep in your bedroom now? Is mine not 'safe' anymore-"

"Just do as I say Sophia."

With another grumble, Sophia packed her things in her trunk that sat unpacked from the end of last year's school year. Dragging it downstairs with obvious annoyance, Remus stood in front of the front door with a look that said 'are you finished with your two-month-long tantrum?'. What surprised her the most was the act of Remus turning around and opening the front door, standing aside and waiting for her to walk outside. Now as suspicious as ever, Sophia just stood there while looking at her father with a raised eyebrow.

"So after all of that, you now don't want to leave?" Remus had the nerve to send a smug smirk. Now fuelled with even more irritation, Sophia stormed out the door with her trunk dragging loudly behind her. Remus shut the door behind himself and followed after his daughter, grabbing her arm before she could walk any further and apparating immediately.

After an unpleasant few seconds, Sophia stumbled sideways once her feet touched the ground. The sick feeling in her stomach made her bend over and put her hands on her knees, breathing in and out slowly in attempts to hold back the vomit that was about come up her throat. Remus stood waiting for her to stand up straight and watched as she glared up at him from where her position facing the floor.

"You know I don't do well with Apparation," she grumbled.

"There's no pleasing you is there," he mocked. "One minute you want to be outside, the next you don't want to go anywhere."

Walking forward, Remus walked across the London street to the other side and didn't take notice of the moving building in front of him that he had seen many times already. But Sophia looked up astonished as the seemingly normal apartment building started to split to reveal an extra column of windows as well as a door that displayed the numbers one and two. Her eyes wondered over to the street sign that was positioned down on the pavement in front of the building, reading the words 'Grimmauld Place'. It wasn't long until she stopped her staring and hurried after Remus who was starting to climb the stairs leading up to the door that had just magically appeared between the apartments' eleven and thirteen.

Following her father through the door, she was greeted with a dark and musty-smelling hallway. The walls were a dark purple and was accompanied with gothic portraits of witches and wizards she didn't know. Cobwebs were seen all over the chandeliers that hung from the ceiling and Sophia wondered who in the world could live in such a place.

Sophia had to look over her father's shoulder to see the door that was open at the end of the hallway, hearing hushed voices from where she stood. She spotted a long dining table in the middle of what looked like a kitchen with various people sitting in chairs, all leaning over a group of pieces of parchment while whispering to each other. She went to strain her ears as she was getting closer and closer to the room when all heads turned in her father's direction, making their discussion come to a sudden halt. It was then that she recognised amongst the group was Sirius Black, Molly, Arthur and Bill Weasley.

"Nice to see you Soph," Sirius stood up first from the dining table and walked around everyone. Remus stood to the side for a moment and let Sirius stand in front of his daughter, leaning against the door frame that separated the hallway from the kitchen.

"You look well Sirius," Sophia nodded and for the first time in two months, displayed a smile to the still -wanted man. Sirius embraced the girl with an aurora that beamed with friendliness, giving Sophia a sense of full security. She noticed that the man smelled musky and guessed that it was his house she was standing in.

"I suppose I do from the last time you saw me," Sirius joked as he pulled away, keeping his hands on her shoulders. He definitely looked better with his hair and trendy moustache looking well groomed and neat. He wore a dark suit that was a nice change from his Azkaban prison robes and smiled down at his best friend's daughter.

"Move aside Sirius," Molly appeared behind the Black and beamed up at the girl who had grown a few inches in the past few months. Sophia didn't fail to notice Arthur Weasley shut the door of the kitchen behind him, blocking her view of Bill and the other people sitting at the table. "How are you dear?"

"I'm good Mrs Weasley," Sophia was pulled into another warm hug by Molly, enjoying the new faces that contrasted with the depressing house. The woman smiled at her before Mr Weasley took his place behind his wife with the same charming smile.

"Good to see you Sophia, I hope Remus has informed you of your arrangements," Arthur glanced at her Father just as he pushed himself up off the wall to speak.

"Yes about that," he started and turned to his daughter who met him with raised eyebrows. "Sophia, you'll be staying her for the rest of the holidays."

"Took ages to convince him," Sirius butt in from next to Arthur, sending a cheeky grin to the girl. "I know it's been a struggle for these past few weeks. I'm in the same situation as you at the moment, being a wanted man and all."

"We're not discussing this again Sirius," Molly spoke with a clipped tone but kept the warm grin on her face when facing Sophia. Footsteps echoed from behind her to which she turned around to see a familiar redhead with now shorter hair and even the smallest bit of scruff on the bottom of his chin. Ron looked up just as he stepped of the staircase, seeing Sophia first and immediately brightening like he had just stepped into a room filled with his favourite desserts.

"Soph!" he cheered and rushed forward with his arms open wide for a hug. Sophia didn't realise how much she really missed seeing her friends until now and rushed forward to meet Ron in a friendly embrace. "Blimey it's like I haven't seen you in ages."

"That's 'cause you haven't," Sophia replied with a hint of patronisation towards her listening father as she pulled away, noticing Ron's shorter hair and older looking face. She guessed puberty had been working hard on Ron in the two months they'd been away from Hogwarts, as he had broader shoulders and a slightly noticeable deeper voice.

"Did I hear Sophia was here?" a voice called, making everyone's head turn to see Ginny leaning over the barrister from the floor above them. Meeting eyes with the youngest Weasley, Sophia beamed up at her and the girl came rushing down the steps. Sophia was then enclosed in the fourth hug of the day, noticing that Ginny was now eye level with her for the first time.

"You've grown," Sophia stated over the redhead's shoulder.
