Sophia's eyes widened and felt the full effect of her blush settling into her entire face. She started fiddling with her fingers and started to stutter as a result of her nervousness and surprise.

"Uh well-um I wouldn't want to-I mean... I need to wipe my make-up off," she was able to make out. "And I have nothing to change in to."

Fred rolled his eyes and grabbed his wand that was sitting on the table beside his bed, pointing it at Sophia's face. For a moment, she thought he was going to hex her. But all she felt was a cooling sensation and the make-up that once covered her face had been completely removed, leaving her skin feeling surprisingly hydrated and clean. To make sure that her face was still there she had to reach up and touch her plump cheek that was indeed still there and washed as if she had just exfoliated it.

"H-How did you do that?" she stared with wide eyes while Fred just wore his boyish smirk.

"I have my uses," was all he said. "You can wear this."

He had picked up a grey shirt from a pile of clothes that were actually folded and washed that was sitting beside his bed. He tossed it to her across the room and she caught it with ease, holding it out in front of her to see that it had a printed design of the Holly Harpers' Quidditch team. Fred saw the suspicious look Sophia slipped him from behind the shirt and he sighed dramatically.

"Ginny got it for me a few Christmas's ago, can you get a move on love? I'm exhausted from spending all night watching you go as red as my bloody Quidditch robes."

Sophia tried her best to prevent herself from blushing once again as a way of trying to deny she had been doing so all night. She went to reach round the back of her dress to unzip it when she threw a look to Fred that said 'Don't you dare look Weasley'. He rolled his eyes once again but laid his head back on his pillow and shut his eyes, insisting that he won't peak through them. Watching him the whole time, Sophia unzipped the dress and let it fall to the floor among the other clothes that littered the dorm. She pulled the long shirt over her head and down her torso, feeling it sink down to the middle of her thighs. Still seeing Fred with his eyes shut she folded up her dress and put it in the corner with her shoes, before taking small cautious steps to stand beside Fred's bed.

Wordlessly, Fred shuffled over and pulled back the covers on the side he left free for her. She nervously slipped her legs under the thick duvet and settled herself next to the Weasely, who had now opened his eyes fully to look at the girl next to him. Sophia swore she could feel her heartbeat in her ears as she laid her head back on the pillow, looking up at the ceiling of the bed with unblinking eyes. She couldn't believe she was laying in the same bed as Fred Weasley, her boyfriend of at least four months now.

"Comfy?" his voice made her turn her head to meet the warm brown eyes she had come to love. All she could do was nod and Fred took this reassurance to turn on to his side and wrap his arms around her petite waist. He pulled her close enough to have their noses touching and beamed so brightly at Sophia that the corners of his eyes crinkled.

"Won't Lee and George come in soon?" Sophia spoke for the first time since undressing from her ball gown.

"If they do, they won't care. They know that if they don't like you being in here, there's always the sofa in the common room," Fred answered. "Oh and Merry Christmas by the way."

Sophia hadn't noticed that it was now the 25th of December, officially making it Christmas Day. She hadn't heard the loud chime of the clock that was located on top of the Entrance Hall outside, but felt a sort of bubbly joy in her stomach when she realised it was her favourite holiday and she was spending it with the boy she adored. If she could only have her Father with her (obviously not in Fred's bed), she would say it was a perfect Christmas.

"Merry Christmas," she repeated with a smile, making Fred smile back just as equally as gleeful. And with that, the two snuggled together in Fred's bed and fell asleep long before George and Lee came back to their room.

---

The next morning, Fred woke up first to the bright sunlight shining in through the window beside his bed. Although snow had coated the grounds of Hogwarts, the sky looked clear with the Sun's presence making it seem like it hadn't snowed at all last night. Fred subconsciously went to sit up until he realised that most of Sophia's body was on top of his. Her head was resting on his shoulder and all of her torso was lying on his side, her hand raised up to lay next to her head and flat against his skin. The soft breaths that came out of her slightly parted lips reassured Fred that she was still in deep sleep, giving him the satisfaction of knowing that she was cuddling him in her subconscious. In order to fully reminisce, Fred let his hand 'rest' on her backside that was covered by his very own t-shirt. He had been successful in hiding the excitement and joy he had felt last night when he peaked at her pulling on his shirt, and it truly felt like Christmas when he was able to give her bum a good squeeze without being hexed at least five feet away.

"Take it off Frederick."

"I thought you were asleep."

"Well now I'm not. Take.it.off."

Fred grumbled but raised his hand to rest on the curve of her side instead. Sophia smirked as she lifted her head from his chest to look up at his face with hazy looking eyes, seeing his own to be narrowed and with a grumpy expression on his handsome face. Lucky for them, Lee and George had already gone down to the common room which meant they hadn't witnessed Fred's rejection. Even though they were now in private, Sophia just enjoyed to see Fred pout like a child when he was told he couldn't grope her whenever he wanted.

"You're a tease, you know that?" Fred stated as he sat up from his position causing Sophia to do the same. The duvet fell to rest on their bottom halves, leaving Fred completely shirtless and Sophia clad in nothing but his shirt and her underwear.

"I do," she nodded her head before turning to look at the trunk that sat at the end of Fred's four-poster bed in order to distract herself from looking at his well built chest. "Look! Presents!"

The two shuffled towards the two distinctive piles that sat on top of his trunk, seeing that Sophia's presents had been magically placed there too. Someone must have known she wouldn't be sleeping in her own bed last night, transferring her Christmas gifts to sit next to Fred's own pile. The two decided to rip through the wrapping paper together, sharing their first Christmas morning as a couple. It was truly magical to watch Fred cough uncontrollably when he opened the present he got from George which contained a whole bunch of Zonko's new product of Coughing Concoction that was meant to be put in people's drinks.

Sophia was most surprised to receive a dark purple knitted sweater with a large letter 'S' on it from Mrs Weasley. Fred had received a similar one with a 'F' on it and said that he got one every year as well as the other Weasley children. She was happy to now be fully considered a close friend (maybe even as good as a child of Molly Weasley) of the Weasley family, pulling on the sweater immediately to welcome it's warmth from the cold morning air. Sophia was excited to watch Fred open her gift that was wrapped in distinctive wrapping paper that had a pattern of funny looking owls on it, seeing his face light up like a Christmas tree once he had seen what it was.

"Soph these are brilliant!" he exclaimed as he held some rather expensive looking Quidditch gloves and a brand new Beater's club. "How much did you spend on these?!"

"I'm not going to tell you that you idiot," she rolled her eyes but beamed when he leaned forward and placed a big kiss against her forehead.

"Thank you love, you're a star," he winked and picked up a square-shaped present from Sophia's own pile. "Open mine now."

She did as she was told and was soon holding a small black box, to which she opened before gasping out loud. Inside laid a silver necklace with the daintiest of pendants; three diamond filled stars that were charmed to display the colours red, orange and blue. The three colours rotated through each of the stars, making it appear to look like a light show happening within the gems. Sophia looked back up at Fred with her mouth hanging open and big wide eyes.

"Merlin Fred," was all she could say.

"The red obviously represents Gryffindor, the orange represents the house of Weasley-" Fred did a pause to wink at her once again. "-and the blue represents your eyes. I was going to do brown for your hair but I didn't think that would as look as cool-"

Fred was cut off by the wind being knocked out of him from Sophia's leaping body. Her arms wrapped tightly around his shoulders and buried her face into his neck, continuously thanking him for her amazing present. Fred steadied himself to stop them falling off the edge of his bed before wrapping his own arms around her middle, indulging in the warmth she provided him with a whole heart. Once the two had pulled away, Fred took the box from Sophia's hands and took the necklace out of it. He leaned in closer to slip his hands around the back of her neck to connect the delicate chain, placing a sweet kiss against her nose before pulling away. They took a moment to look into each other's contrasting eyes yet were thinking the exact same thing. How could I have gotten so lucky?

"Much better than that book Hermione got you huh?"

"She got me a book?"

"Oops."

Christmas passed by quickly and it came to the second task of the Tri-Wizard tournament. Sophia noticed how much Harry had got progressively stressed out and nervous again, but now had his two best friends with him this time. Ron and Hermione were always seen with him in the library looking up things for next task or in empty classrooms to practice spells and hexes that were beyond their year level. Sophia had heard that Harry had worked out the clue from the golden egg to be something to do with Mere-people and was most likely happening in the Black Lake. Now it was just trying to find a way for Harry to breathe underwater for an hour. A simple task really.

Sophia sealed the letter that she had finished writing to her father, enclosing the Polaroid she had taken with Parvati and Hermione from the Yule ball. She had written to him all about how Fred had asked her and the two had gone to the amazing event, only to be disappointed and leave early. She had also told him about the first task of the tournament, saying how amazing Harry was and how he was now being supported by more than half of Hogwarts. This time she didn't try and ask about any interviews or job opportunities seeing as it had been ignored the last time she wrote to him about it. She just hoped he was doing well and that she'll see him when it comes to the next break.

Sending off the letter, Sophia descended the stairs from the Owlery and started walking out towards the Entrance Hall. Once she had walked through the countless corridors and was greeted by the view of the green landscape, she spotted Ginny walking by herself down the path that lead to the Black Lake. Catching up to her, the two started following the other students that were clad in warm clothes because of the cold weather that still lingered in the early months of the year.

"Is that Fred's scarf?" Ginny asked as her and Sophia made their way towards the boats that were stationed in the lake that would take them to where the task would be taking place.

"Yeah, he wrapped me in it before I could stop him," Sophia sheepishly smiled as she adjusted the gold and red scarf that was snuggled around her neck. "Where is he anyway?"

"Making more bets with George," Ginny rolled her eyes and motioned towards the twins who were approaching everyone (even teachers) with open suitcases. They had gotten this new fascination with bidding over anything and everything this year. They even would bid between themselves on how many times Fleur Delacour would wrinkle her nose at something that she found distasteful. She obviously did this a lot, as Fred had previously bet that she would do it twenty-three times in one day and his pockets were that little bit fuller than George's. "I'm more interested in where Hermione is. I didn't see her in the common room last night or at breakfast."

"Same with Ron", Sophia added. "Harry was all alone in the library when I went to see him last night. He looked real stressed out".

The two sailed towards the three distinctive stands that stood in the middle of the Black Lake, only having been made for this particular event. It was obvious that the Hogwarts students had claimed the middle of the three stands while the Beauxbatons and the Durmstrang students claimed the two others on each side, as many Hufflepuff and Gryffindor flags were being waved around by the people occupying the middle stand. Ginny and Sophia climbed the stairs and settled themselves against the railing to look over the top, getting a clear view of the bottom level where Harry, Cedric, Fleur and Viktor were standing waiting to be sent into the water. While Sophia leaned over the railing, Ginny caught sight of the glittering stars that hung from the silver chain around her neck.

"Where'd that come from?" Ginny asked. Sophia looked at the youngest Weasley before following her eyes down to the necklace she hadn't taken off ever since it was given to her. Without even knowing it, a giddy smile grew on her face as the three stars switched around their routine of blue, red and orange once again. Ginny caught on to her expression and smirked.

"Say no more," she stated. "Who knew Fred could be so romantic."

"I can be very romantic, thank you very much Ginevra."

Fred appeared behind Sophia and put his hands on the railing beside hers', keeping his girlfriend in between his arms with his front against her back. George appeared beside Ginny, holding a very heavy looking bag that rattled with a noise unmistakably of coins. Looking rather pleased with himself, George started to inform Ginny on the odds of the second task even though she hadn't asked. But she was forced to listen as Fred talked quietly into Sophia's ear which was conveniently only a small lean away.

"What have you seen about this one Soph? Any loss of limbs? Maybe even a possible death?" he asked.

"I haven't looked at my map in ages. I'm too scared to see something that'll make me want to change it," she admitted while staring out into the ever-flowing lake.

"That's fair, but let me know when you eventually do look. I promise I'll only use it for bets with Georgie," Fred winked at her when she glared up at him, hoping that he was indeed joking. And judging by his confident smirk and sparkling eyes full of amusement, she rolled her eyes at the fact that he was just trying to wind her up. Chuckling at the glare that made Sophia look younger than she actually was, Fred wrapped his arms around her shoulders so that he could pull her back to rest his chin on her shoulder.

"Welcome to the second task of the Tri-Wizard tournament!" Professor Dumbledore's voice echoed over the landscape of the lake and the forest that lined it's shores.
