"No.... not dead" Remus answered with a small shake of his head. He looked exhausted in his chair, as well as troubled by his constant running mind. "Everything's different now."
"What.... What's going on Dad?"
Remus's eyes wondered over the map in front of him that he had confiscated off Harry, before returning to his daughter. She looked positively confused and worried, and he didn't blame her. It was only up until recently that Remus had finally discovered the truth about Sirius Black's murders and Peter Pettigrew's supposed death. It was confusing, but it had somehow added up. And he almost didn't want to burden Sophia with this information, as it would involve her more than he liked. Just like how his wife had been too informed, which eventually led to her own death.
"Sirius didn't kill Peter... he didn't betray the Potters," the man said in a quiet voice, as if he was trying to convince himself for the first time. Sophia's lips parted but she made no sound, now even more confused and yearned for more information. Fighting his fatherly instincts, Remus continued to explain briefly of his new-found information. "Peter became a Death Eater. It was him all along, Sirius was framed. Peter made it seem that it was Sirius that killed all those muggles as well as himself. Soph, do you remember me telling you about my friends learning to be Animagus's in order to accompany me during my transformations?"
Sophia nodded wordlessly, astonished to hear about Sirius Black being innocent all along. Peter, the seemingly clingy addition to her Father's group of friends, was a follower of You Know Who? Was he the one who sold Harry's parents out to He Who Must Not Be Named?
"And what animal is quite frequently around Harry? More specifically, Ron?" Remus asked. Sophia went to answer with the word Scabbers, Ron's sick looking rat, when all the puzzle pieces suddenly fell into place. Peter Pettigrew's Animagus form was a rat! She remembered Ron saying that he was originally one of his brother's pets and had been in his family for thirteen years. And the supposed murder of Peter was thirteen years ago. This meant that Scabbers, is really Peter Pettigrew!
"S-so Sirius... spent all that time in Azkaban..." Sophia didn't need to finish. Remus looked back at his daughter, hiding his disgust that he felt towards his former friend.
The two sat in silence for a while, deliberating over all this new information and complete game-changer. Sophia found herself feeling immense pity for Sirius Black, as being falsely accused of murder and spending more time in Azkaban than he did with his friends from Hogwarts must have been awful for him. She frequently looked up at her father's face, noticing his deep scars and deathly pale skin. She suddenly thought about what day it was and went to ask him about his cycle, until something caught her eye outside of the window behind her father's shoulder.

"Dad look, the Whomping Willow..." she called as she stood from her seat with her eyes glued to the large tree outside. Her father stood from his seat also and looked outside, seeing that the Whomping Willow was flailing it's branches furiously. The father and dauughter caught sight of a figure being dragged towards the tree by what looked to be raggedy dog.
"Stay here," Remus stated firmly as he tore his eyes from the scene and began to walk towards the door of his office. He pulled his wand out from his suit jacket and started to descend the stairs that led to the floor of his classroom.
"Like hell I will," Sophia argued before following her father, pulling out her own wand from her jean pocket.
The two ran through the halls and made it past the Entrance Hall, finding themselves running away from the castle and its occupants. The sky was now beginning to darken quickly, signifying the impending nightfall. Remus made sure to send a charm up to the Whomping Willow, causing it to freeze momentarily to allow him and Sophia to enter through the base entry of the huge tree. Sophia was amazed to see her father's familiarity with the passage that suddenly lead towards the inside of the Shrieking Shack, where Remus would undergo his transformations during his time at Hogwarts. People had always thought that the screams and cries that came from the abandoned house were ghosts and spirits that warned off anyone who dared to enter the building. But it was really Remus in his youth, undergoing his painful processes every month.
Sophia heard voices coming from one of the top rooms of the Shrieking Shack, yet Remus ensured that she stayed behind him as they both started to climb the rickety stairs that looked like they'd break at any moment. Her father kept his wand pointing out in front of him, while Sophia had her wand lowly pointing towards the floor ready to raise at any sign of a threat.
Remus began to take the last few steps at a quicker pace before bursting through the doors where the voices had been coming from. Sophia followed quickly after and noticed that there were three people standing in the corner of the room that she knew. She met eyes with Harry, Ron and Hermione and was confused to see them looking so terrified. She even saw that Ron's leg had been mangled and that his rat Scabbers, or Peter Pettigrew, was sitting in his hands rather feverish and disturbed.
"Remus..." a voice said and Sophia turned, to see Sirius Black himself standing in his Azkaban robes with shaggy dark hair and an unkept beard. His face was skinny, and he looked very undernourished, with rotting teeth and a look of insanity in his eyes.

Sophia found herself taking steps towards the trio who were shocked to see her and stood next to Hermione as they all watched the two adults in the room have a small staring contest. They watched as Remus suddenly lowered his wand with a friendly smile, before embracing Sirius in the friendliest of hugs. Ron, Harry and Hermione looked down right betrayed and astonished at this reunion, but Sophia stood there with the tiniest bit of a smile as her father looked happy to finally be reunited with one of his best friends.
"It's good to see you dear friend," Remus said as he almost was holding Sirius up in the hug, as the man appeared to be quivering in what seemed to be anticipation.
"Let's kill him!" Sirius cried with a malicious look, obviously referring to the rat that was wriggling in Ron's hands. But the trio had thought he was still after Harry, making the scene appear completely out of context.
"No!" Hermione called out while stepping forward. "I trusted you! Did you know about this Sophia?!"
She turned to the girl standing there awkwardly, with a look of betrayal and disbelief. Hermione was obviously thinking that Professor Lupin was helping Sirius get into the castle in order to kill Harry. But Sophia had barely any time to explain this, as she heard Sirius begin to chat quietly with her father.
"Sophia?" Sirius said in confusion before displaying a look of awe, looking between Remus and his daughter. "That's Sophia? It's been so long hasn't it..."
"He's a werewolf!" Hermione cried as she turned towards Harry and Ron who were still thoroughly confused with the situation. "That's why he's been missing classes!"
Sophia and her father exchanged looks of fear and discomfort, as his secret had finally been found out. Whether Hermione knew that Sophia knew they were not sure, but this could lead to more serious complications. Remus gulped before confronting Hermione with a stern yet afraid look.
"How long have you known?" he enquired.
"I had my suspicions when both your Boggarts formed something to do with Lycanthropy", the girl answered as her eyes moved from Sophia to Professor Lupin. "But once Snape set the essay about Werewolves, I knew..."
"Well Hermione, you really are the brightest Witch of your age I must say," Remus exclaimed with a nervous chuckle before Sirius spoke up once again in irritation.
"Enough chitchat! Let's kill him!"
"Now just wait Siri-"
"I DID MY WAITING! TWELVE YEARS OF IT! IN AZKABAN!" Sirius shouted which made everyone in the room jump back in shock and fear. Sophia had half a mind to raise her wand once more, but stopped when she saw her father cast Sirius a sympathetic look at the mention of his drawn-out torture in prison.
"B-But sir..." Harry spoke up for the first time as he looked at Professor Lupin with a broken expression. "He betrayed my parents..."
"No Harry, it wasn't him who betrayed your parents," Professor Lupin answered with a shake of his head.
"Then who was it then?" he asked impatiently, to which Sirius took it upon himself to answer.
"Peter Pettigrew!" he said in a mockingly way, before looking completely mad once more. "And he's in this room! Right now! Come out Peter! Come out and play!-"
Another person suddenly burst through the door to Sophia's left, making all heads suddenly turn to the greasy-haired Professor who looked as smug as ever. Sirius and Remus seemed to wear the same look of disgust at Professor Snape's entrance, as the man smirked with his wand raised at the two men. He had performed the disarming charm which left Remus defenceless next to his best friend, leaving only the four children in the room to have their wands at hand.
"Oh revenge is sweet," Professor Snape sneered at the sight. "Oh how the Ministry would love to hear about this! The Werewolf helping the fugitive, how touching!"
Worse soon came to worse as Harry had chosen to stun Professor Snape and leave him on the floor as the room went silent. Hermione cried something about him attacking a teacher, but Sophia felt much more relieved at seeing the man on the floor with his wand away from his hand than threatening her father.
"Where is he then?" Harry asked in a strong tone to Sirius. "Where is Peter?"
"There," Sirius pointed an accusing finger at Scabbers, to which Ron thought he was pointing at him.

Death's Daughter | Supernatural, D.W.
My life is normal, or at least relative to it. Really, how normal does life get, being the offspring of the most murderous of beings, the undertaker himself? Being Death's daughter isn't easy. Existence itself is a trying subject; even more trivial when it's based around taking the lives of (mostly) innocent people. The word mostly is an asterisk for people like Sam and Dean Winchester. My father informed me of them at a young age after a reaping that had obviously gone sideways. "If you have the chance," he instructed me, "drag those obnoxious cock roaches down to Hell, and leave them there."Then, one day, two flannel-clad idiots and their angel on a leash wander into my jurisdiction of the veil. My life has never been the same; my life has never been the preconceived notion of 'normal' that it once was.Disclaimer: I do not own any characters or plot lines from Supernatural.
