⟶ in which, you recieve a letter from the one you love. This is small series which came to my mind and I just thought, why not? There are mentions of food. The reader is gender neutral.
The oven chimed as you took out the pie. It was your birthday. George had to leave a few days ago on some important business. So the activities you had previously planned had been dumped away, not that you were complaining— his work was important, but you couldn’t help but feel a bit glum. There was a knock. You looked towards the window at a small barn owl. It held a letter a small package. Feeding it some treats you kept, you opened the letter. George.
I know I write you letters or notes almost every other day so this one might not surprise you at all. But I do believe this is an important one. I have never missed your birthday ever since year two at Hogwarts and I didn’t think I would. Though life seems to have other plans this time. You didn’t complain at all, busy wishing me a safe journey and packing me my favourite biscuits while I could’ve help but feel worse as minutes ticked by.
I couldn’t do much, but I’ve included a small gift, something I caught you looking at a few weeks ago. And— and there’s this small sweater I started knitting since last December. I saw how much you adored handmade sweaters and how warm they were and thought you would like it. I know mum sends in one every year but it wouldn’t hurt to add some more.
I love you and I miss waking you up with your favourite treats on your day. Your eyes would be a little swollen and your hair messed up but you would have this amazing smile on your face that couldn’t help but kiss. Sure you get impatient when people can’t keep up to your pace and get worked up over small details but J don’t think anything can ever make me love you any lesser. You will always hold all stars and the moon in my eyes.

I love you. I’ve already said that, haven’t I? But I guess it wouldn’t hurt to say it some more. Have a wonderful day darling.
Yours, George.
You tried and failed to keep the smile from your face. Little did he know, he had made your entire day.
—What do you think?

Vendor of Spirits
A warlock once made a pact with the Powers Above. He snuck in a clause that resurrected him whenever he died, with all his memories intact. He lived for thousands of years in a hundred different bodies, changing the world into a dystopian regime where he could freely pursue his passions: alcohol, television and ducks. This made the Powers Above very angry, so they erased his memories and reincarnated him as a simple barmaid in a sleepy village where she could do no harm. I don’t know any of this, of course.
