《Yellow || Fred Weasley》15 || dear cousin

It was already well past Christmas, and Gaia swore that the group of 1st years, including her sister, would be the end of her.
"I literally told her not to do anything rash! Next thing I know, they're sneaking around a three-headed dog!" Gaia shook her head in disbelief as she ranted to Fred and George, "Not to mention, Harry's unconscious in the hospital wing."
"And we've got no seeker today," Oliver Wood groaned from a bit away.
"Is that really the only thing you think of, Wood?" Gaia glared at him.
Rumor got out that Harry, Ron, Hermione, and Lele had apparently gone into the third floor corridors because they suspected that Snape was trying to steal the Philosopher's Stone. Of course, Gaia refused to believe that her sister would break the school rules during her first year at Hogwarts, with Hermione, much less. Lele was much more rule abiding than Gaia, but even Gaia knew that if Dumbledore told you to stay away from something in a serious tone, it would be better to stay away. She was proven wrong.
Now, Gryffindor and Ravenclaw were going up against each other in Quidditch as the last game of the school year.
"Lighten up, Wood!"
"Yeah. Don't we have Holler as reserve?"
Oliver perked up at what the twins said before excusing himself to go find Ryker, who was currently the reserve seeker for Gryffindor. He speed-walked out of the hall before Gaia could even tell him that Ryker was probably in the courtyards.
"Just so you know-" Fred started as a grin started showing on his face.
"-we're not going to-"
"-go easy on you-"
"-just because you're-"
"-our best friend" the twins teased making Gaia roll her eyes.
"Maybe I should be the one going easy on you, eh?" she winked before standing up and walking to where the rest of the Ravenclaw Quidditch team was.
✧✧✧
"Welcome to the last game of the season!" The quidditch pitch erupted in cheers as both teams made their way to the middle of the field. The Gryffindor team walked out with Ryker in place of Harry, who was still unconscious.
"Nice, fair game, alright? Mount your brooms, please" Madam Hooch reminded before they flew up into the air.
"And the quaffle is released! Gryffindor in possession! Chaser Cole Pyrus speeding to the goal posts with Chasers Angelina Johnson and Alicia Spinnet right behind him. Pyrus passes to Johnson - intercepted by Ravenclaw Chaser Jasmine Krost!"
Gaia swerved to the right as a bludger barely missed her.
"Michael! You doin' you're job or what?" she jokingly shouted at the beater who was already on his way to her.
"Seems like you don't really need me to do it," he joked back as he hit a bludger that was heading towards them.

Gaia flew in front of Jasmine while Kaleb flew to Jasmine's right. Behind them, the three Gryffindor chasers were gaining. Gaia whistled loudly, and Jasmine barely even turned her head before passing the quaffle to Gaia and stopping her broom to let the opponent chasers pass above her. Gaia sped past Kaleb who moved to block the way of the Gryffindors while Jasmine sped through them, breaking their formation and catching up to her.
"Krost passes the quaffle to fellow Chaser, Gaia Eruditus. Brilliant play by Ravenclaw, I've got to admit. Eruditus passes to fellow Chaser, Kaleb Prynt - ouch! Prynt gets hit by a bludger in the arm sent by one of the Weasleys. Eruditus to the rescue, keeps possession of the quaffle and makes quick way to the goal posts - atta boy, Freddie! I think. Weasley hits a bludger towards Eruditus which is blocked by Ravenclaw Beater Michael Elliot."
"Doin' my job well enough for you, Eruditus?" Michael teased before flying off.
"Eruditus goes to shoot the quaf- oh wait, she doesn't! Passes to Krost. And Krost scores! Gryffindor is now in possession of the quaffle. Brilliant hit by Ravenclaw Beater Hailey Martins - mighty fine beater that woman - which is returned by one of the Weasleys. Johnson passes to Spinnet who just barely avoids a bludger to the face. Wouldn't wanna ruin that pretty face - joking!"
About an hour later, Ravenclaw was leading with 160-80.
"Gryffindor's not in their A-game today, are they?" Kaleb commented as they flew through the field side-by-side while Gaia held the quaffle.
"Shame, isn't it?" Gaia grinned before throwing the quaffle.
"Ravenclaw scores once again! Brilliant chaser, Eruditus, 90 points coming from her! Gorgeous as we- sorry Professor! That's 170-80, lead by Ravenclaw."
"Jo! Catch the snitch already, will you?" Jasmine shouted up at Ravenclaw's captain, who just grinned.
"Gryffindor is in possession, courtesy of Spinnet. Come on, Alicia! Spinnet dodges Prynt and passes the quaffle to Johnson who swerves around Krost. Weasley's beside her hitting back a bludger sent by Elliot. Johnson passes to Pyrus and - Gryffindor scores! That's 90 for Gryffindor! Gryffindor Seeker Ryker Holler has spotted the snitch, great seeker! Ravenclaw Seeker Joanne Prince follows closely behind - Ravenclaw scores courtesy of Krost! Prince is gaining on Pyrus - did you see that!? Prynt's just jumped off his broom to get the quaffle!"
Kaleb landed on Gaia's broom behind her with the quaffle in his hand. She caught his broom in one hand and reached it out to him.
"Can't believe you actually did that. Was that even allowed?" Gaia grinned at him while he hopped back on his own broom after handing the quaffle to her.
"No idea. Madam Hooch's not blowing the whistle so I must be fine," Kaleb grinned back before they flew off.

"Caught by Eruditus on her broom. Bloody hell, that was something! Seems like even Gryffindor team is shocked by what just happened, the seekers have lost sight of the snitch. Eruditus passes to Krost - oh! Eruditus gets hit on the leg by a bludger sent by the Weasleys."
"Sorry Gaia! Didn't mean to hit you!" Fred shouted as Gaia glared at him.
"Sure you didn't," she deadpanned before following after Jasmine.
"Krost passes to Prynt. Martin's sticking to Eruditus now, girl's been hit by a bludger too many times now! The snitch has been spotted once again! Oh, hey! Ravenclaw scores! Prince overtakes Holler - she's caught the snitch! Ravenclaw wins!"
Gaia cheered as she made her way down to the ground with the rest of their team. Joanne stood in the middle of their group as they all hugged each other. Ravenclaw made its way to the field with the team to join in on the hug.
"Great game, you lot!" Hailey cheered as Joanne held up the snitch.
"Excuse me, sorry," Oliver said as he pushed through the Ravenclaws, "Good game, Prince," he said in a tight voice.
Joanne grinned at him and shook her head.
"Don't worry, Wood. We won't hold it against you," Joanne said cheekily. Oliver gave a tight-lipped smile in reply before he walked off to the lockers.
Gaia squealed as a pair of arms lifted her from the ground. She turned her head and saw that it was Fred who had done so.
"Great game, Gaia!" – "You were brilliant!" Fred and George simultaneously said.
"You two as well! Although, you both seemed adamant to hit me." Gaia raised an eyebrow as Fred set her down.
"You had the quaffle the most!" Fred grinned.
"We were bound to target you," George continued.
"Kaleb!" Fred called out. Kaleb turned from Cole and looked at the trio's direction.
"Wicked move!" George complimented making Kaleb smile sheepishly as he thanked him.
"Did you know he was gonna do that?" Fred asked and Gaia shook her head.
"We tried it in practice. Didn't know he'd actually do it though!"
✧✧✧
"Good morning Professor Dumbledore," Gaia greeted as the old wizard walked through the doors of the hospital wing.
"Ah, good morning Miss Eruditus. Has he woken yet?" he asked as he stopped at the foot of Harry's bed.
Gaia looked at Harry and shook her head as she fixed his hair.
"No sir, he hasn't yet."
"How are you, Gaia?" Dumbledore asked her, putting her in a moment of shock.
"Excuse me, Professor?" Gaia asked in confusion.
Why would the headmaster ask how I was doing? She thought. Then again, she was a student under his care.
"I've seen that you've held Harry quite dear to you this year. In fact, I've seen you with Harry more times than I've seen you with your younger sister," he answered, making Gaia think.
Have I really been spending that much time with Harry? She thought.
"I'm fine, I guess. Just worried, is all. I guess seeing Harry as this kid all alone made me want to take him under my wing," Gaia explained.
Dumbledore hummed before circling over to her where she was sat on a plastic chair beside Harry's bed.
"Are you aware of your relation to Harry?" he asked after a short moment of silence.
"What?" Gaia asked as her head snapped towards the smiling wizard.
"You are aware that your father is a half-blood? Harry's mother, Lily Potter, was one of his cousins from his mother's side."
Gaia stared at Harry who seemed to be shifting positions slightly.
"I didn't know that," she whispered.
"You were quite young but if I remember correctly, Lily Potter often went to your house with Harry so he could play with you and your sister."
"Why did mum and dad never mention it?" Gaia asked, though the question was directed more towards herself.
"Perhaps he wanted to save you the trauma of remembering. After all, you were there that day," Dumbledore said.
Gaia's eyebrows furrowed in confusion as her eyes followed the headmaster who was currently looking around at the piles of candy surrounding Harry's bed.
"What do you mea-"
"Good afternoon Harry," Dumbledore greeted as Harry's eyes opened, effectively cutting off what she was about to say. The boy looked confused for a while before his eyes widened.
"Sir, the stone! It was Quirrell! He's got the stone! Sir, quick-" he rambled in a panicked state, cutting himself off when he caught sight of the older student beside him, "Gaia?"
"Hello Harry." Gaia smiled, "How are you feeling?"
"What are you doing here?" he asked, noting that there was no other student around.
"Miss Eruditus was quite worried when news spread that you were in the hospital wing. She's been coming here every chance she gets," Dumbledore explained as he looked at Gaia expectantly.
Gaia sighed inwardly as she stood up from her seat.
"Well, Harry, I'll leave now. I'll try to come back later if allowed," Gaia said, ruffling Harry's hair gently as she started walking around the cot to exit the room.
"Gaia," Harry called, gripping her wrist, "Thank you."
"What for?" Gaia asked, turning back slightly towards the boy.
"For caring. It's like having a mother," he said, whispering the last part.
Gaia smiled gently at him, patting his arm.
"Don't worry about it, Harry. I'll come back later, promise. I think you have some things to discuss with Professor Dumbledore."

World Step (Rewrite)
This is a rewrite of my story World Step. Though, in reality, this is my first serious draft. The shadows grow deeper on the planet of Whorrl even as a dark, and ancient ritual takes place within the depths of The Abyssal Mouth—a chasm of both fortune and calamity. The story follows Quintin, a Grandmaster Martial Artist from Earth, as unforeseen elements conspire against him from the depths of space. *No Harem *Strong MC, but by no means does he go through enemies without injury or at least learning something. *Throw on [Horror], and possibly [Psychological] elements. *Dark Fantasy with some [Grimdark] leanings. Notes: this will be a place where I endeavor to rewrite and fix issues. With that in mind, expect revisions, edits, and other things of that nature.
