You and Hermione had been in a secret relationship ever since the beginning of sixth year. Nobody knew except for Ginny, who would cover for the two of you whenever you wanted some alone time. Hermione was your best friend first, but like many love stories, you fell in love with your best friend and she fell in love with you.
Tonight was your date night, it was a beautiful Saturday that was already filled with many joys, but no alone time yet. At dinner the two of you were disturbed by Harry and Ron. Not that you really minded, they were your best friends. The only thing that bothered you was that they would not leave you and Hermione alone. Even after dinner they kept tagging along. You were quite annoyed to say the least and Hermione noticed. She subtly grabbed your hand and squeezed it. Than she spoke up "Ron, now that you're talking about it, I remember Dean saying he needed you for something." Ron spoke up "why would dean need me?" "I don't know, why don't you go ask him?" Ron stood up from his seat and nodded "alright I'll do that, are you guys coming?" Harry stood up "I'll come". Then they looked at you and Hermione "and you two?" You smiled at Hermione as she said "no I think we'll stay here."
After they had left you and Hermione had started to walk through the castle. You genuinely felt like you could tell her anything. And suddenly you stopped walking, "Hermione?" She stopped walking as well and turned around to face you. "Yes?" "Why are we still keeping our relationship a secret?" Hermione slightly tilted her head "I honestly don't know Y/N, I thought that it was something you wanted?" You shook your head. "No, I'm sick of hiding what we have." Hermione smiled "me too." "So it's settled then 'Mione?" She nodded "tomorrow we are going public whoohoo!" You yelled. Hermione giggled and responded "but tonight you're still my dirty little secret." You smiled knowing where this was going.
