Going to Hogwarts was very scary for you. As a muggleborn you did not now anything about the school or the wizarding world, so you were very nervous to get on the train.

Once you were there and you had said your goodbyes to your parents a good looking guy walked over.

"Hi I'm James and you look very scared do you want some company?" You blushed a bit and nodded.

James was your guide the entire train ride, you learned that he was in his second year already, that he had three best friends and that he was a Gryffindor. He also told you everything you needed to know about Hogwarts and the wizarding world.

"Where do you want to get sorted in?" He asked. You looked at him and started to think. "Honestly I don't really know, but Gryffindor sounds like fun!" James chuckled. "It is fun! But it has to suit your characteristics, so let's do a quick test to determine where you'll probably go"

You smiled and nodded, so he could start.

After a couple of questions James smiled like an idiot. "Okay so its going to be Gryffindor of Ravenclaw"

You smiled as well "I hope I get Gryffindor"

"Me too" he said.

When the train arrived at Hogwarts your paths separated. You walked along your fellow first years and a huge guy who's name was quite funny.

After a while you entered the big hall and everyone was very excited. In the crowd you were looking for a pair of eyes, James his eyes to be exact.

You spotted him, he gave you a wink and then the sorting started.

"Y/N Y/L/N" you walked towards the chair, clenching your fists, you were very nervous. You sat down, you could hear that the hat had started to mumble. "Hmmm Gryffindor I believe"

After a couple of minutes the sorting hat yelled out "GRYFFINDOR" James stood up and cheered as loud as he could.

You smiled and sat down next to him.

Hogwarts wasn't going to be so bad after all.
