There was a rumor going on amongst all the girls in Hogwarts.

Cedric Diggory had a crush.

And all of the girls had gone crazy after that, every girl but you.

You didn't really care, and you seemed to be the only one.

You weren't bothered by it but that didn't mean you weren't attracted to him, you just thought that he was never going to like you that way since you were good friends.

But you were very very wrong.

One day after DADA you decided to go outside since you had a free period after all.

You walked towards the lake and sat down, leaning against a tree.

You were finally able to read the book you had been dying to read , and after only reading two pages , you were lost in the words , you had the feeling you were part of the story and got lost in time.

After what felt like ten seconds but were in fact forty minutes , someone sat down beside you.

You didn't even notice until the person spoke up.

"Hey Y/N, what are you reading?"

You jumped a bit , and chuckled when you saw that it was only Cedric.

"Jeez Cedric you scared me, and I'm reading a muggle book, I don't think you'd know it"

"You can at least try to explain"

You smiled at him "alright then, it's called the hunger games"

And you started to explain what it was about, Cedric could only stare at you, he loved the way your eyes lit up when you were talking about something you loved or was passionate about.

After you explained everything about The Hunger Games, you concluded it with "there are movies as well, we should watch them sometime"

The only thing Cedric could do was smile and nod.

He was head over heels for you , and you didn't notice.

"But enough of my babbling , how are you?" You said after a couple of awkward minutes of silence.

"I'm fine , especially when I'm around you" Cedric realized what he said and his mouth was wide open.

"I-I mean t-that I-I uh" he stuttered , he didn't know what to say.

You had never seen Cedric so flustered and it was adorable.

"Well well , never thought I would see you speechless"

He chuckled nervously.

"But I have to say, I'm happy to be around you as well"

When you that Cedric did something you could have only dreamed of.

He kissed you.

Cedric bloody Diggory kissed you!

And as soon as you felt his soft lips on yours, you kissed back.

After the kiss Cedric blushed "I've been wanting to do that for a while now"

You blushed as well.

"I assume I don't have to tell anymore because it's pretty obvious now, but you're the one I have a crush on, I've had a crush on you for a while now"

You smiled at him, a bright genuine smile.

"I think I might have a crush on you too"

He smiled as well and he asked something you never thought Cedric would ask you.

"So are we together now?" He looked into your eyes, with hope written over his face.

"Yes we are" a goofy grin appeared on his face and he kissed you again, a bit more passionate this time.
