"Hey Elena is our study appointment still on?" Remus asked shyly , while his friends stood behind him smirking.

"Of course it is , see you at 8 , in our usual spot" you replied with a cheeky grin.

While you were in class you found yourself thinking of Remus.

About the way he smiled , or the way he laughed at one of your weird jokes.

You simply loved everything about the boy , but you knew you'd never have a chance , he was your best friend, and that was all he would ever be.

Time skip-

You were in a hurry , it was five past eight and you were going to be late on your appointment with Remus!

You ran through the castle , and when you finally busted into the library, you looked over to your usual spot.

Remus was sitting there , looking at you with a huge smile on his face "hey Elena!"

"Hey Remus , sorry I'm late" you apologized while you sat down on the opposite side of Remus.

"That's alright , remember that time I was late because Sirius locked me in the bathroom"

You both laughed at the thought.

"Well let's start then" Remus nodded.

After a discussion about DADA , you decided to study for your history of magic test.

While you were studying , you had the odd feeling that someone was watching you.

And after 5 minutes you decided to look up, when you looked up , to see where that strange feeling was coming from , you saw that it was Remus who was staring at you.

He turned a bright red , and smiled shyly.

"S-sorry f-for staring"'he mumbled "it's j-just t-that you l-look so cute w-when you concentrate"

You blushed and giggled "it's okay Remus"

And then you realized that maybe , just maybe Remus liked you back.

And that feeling wasn't wrong after a couple of days debating on whether you should just ask him about it , or simply ignore it , you overheard the marauders talk .

"Remus we were wondering" you heard James say, "if you have asked Elena out already?" Sirius finished.

Your heart began to beat slightly faster until Remus said "w-hat n-no" your heart sunk , thinking that it was stupid to have high hopes.

But then Remus finished his sentence : how can I ? I mean we are best friends, first I don't want to ruin our friendship , second of all she's a beautiful , smart, kind, funny and outgoing Hufflepuff with beautiful eyes , and those brown curls drive me mad but then there's me and I'm just a boring Gryffindor" he sighed "so that's why I can't ask her out, or confess my love for her"

His friends laughed "well my dear friend , I think you just did" and then they all turned to look at you (you thought that standing and listening from a couple of meters away would do , but it didnt)

You blushed and walked over to them.

"Remus , I really like - no love you to"

Remus didn't waste another second and pulled you close slowly pressing his lips on yours.

Sparks flew around, and this was without a doubt the best moment of elenas 's / your life.
