《Their Human》Chapter twenty nine: their parents

My eyes slowly fluttered open, all of my memories feeling like a scrambled mess in my head. I looked around, finding myself in another unfamiliar bedroom. I sighed deeply, sitting up on the soft bed. What was happening now?

I looked down at my body, finding myself in a far too big shirt. It was white in colour and it smelt like expensive cologne. This shirt definitely did not belong to the twins. Where even was I?

The room I was in was really dark. The walls and floors were black, the ceiling was black, the bedsheets were black. It was all black. There was only light entering from the large glass doors that led to a balcony.

I looked down at my body again, slowly lifting the shirt up to see my thigh. I hoped I wasn't going to get an infection from the bite mark. My breath hitched at the sight of two red dots on my thigh, a purple bruise forming around it. My eyes watered at the sight. How could I let someone do this to me? What happened to the woman that could fight and protect herself?

Right, she's too busy protecting the twins.

I closed my eyes and leaned back. I hoped that whoever this person was would be better than Alexander. I really did not need anymore threats and bite marks.

The door creaked open, my eyes snapping open to see who was entering. My mouth gaped open, shock covering my features.

"Mr... Goliath sir?" I asked, baffled by the sight before me. Goliath entered with a tray of food and kicked the door closed. He walked towards me and placed it on the nightstand next to me, not looking at me. I, however, couldn't stop staring at him in awe.

He was in grey shorts and shirtless, his bulging muscles covered by hundreds of tattoos. His yinmin blue hair was messy, some falling on his face. He looked like he had just woken up.

"Are you trying to seduce me?" Was the first thing he asked deeply as he looked at me. He was frowning when he asked that, making me frown. Why would I try to seduce him? He pointed at my thighs, making me remember that I had pulled the shirt up to look at my bruise. I quickly pulled it down, looking down in embarrassment.

"I'm sorry about that." I apologized. He hummed and nodded at the food.

"Eat, you need it."

I stared at the food, it was just a fruit salad and a glass of water. I picked the bowl and fork up and started eating. "Thank you for helping me." I told him, eating a slice of pineapple.

He hummed again, staring at me eating. I finished the salad and took the glass of water, gulping all of it down. I put the glass down and turned to him. He was still staring at me intensely, making me feel pretty nervous. It didn't help that he was massive in size. He looked like he could kill me with one slap.

"What were you doing in his room?" He asked me, crossing his arms. I looked up at him in confusion. "Alexander," He added.

I shuddered at the mentioning of that monsters name and he could see that.

"I... I was—"

"If you dare lie to me. There will be problems." He interrupted me. I nodded, gulping softly.

"Please believe me." I asked him, my eyes tearing up. His hard stare softened and he nodded, waiting for me to tell him.

So I told him.

Everything.

I told him that Alexander had threatened to hurt the twins if I said anything and I told him that Alexander had bitten me. I even showed him the bite mark, which he told me he had already seen when he was dressing me in his shirt.

At the end of my story, Goliath sighed deeply. "I believe you," He simply said. "But you can't say anything about it."

What did he just say?

I can't say anything?

"Why the hell not?" I asked him loudly.

"Because Alexander and the twins are running to be kings. They can't be distracted by this." Goliath told me. I shook my head in disbelief.

"The twins deserve to know!" I told him.

"They do, but not yet. It will ruin everything if they find out now."

"How? Alexander basically molested me! He's the one who will be ruined. He'll even be banned from running for king. He has to be!" I told him, climbing off the bed.

"Yes but so you think the twins are just going to let this go? No, they'll murder Alex and if they do that, they will also be banned." He explained to me. I buried my face in my hand, feeling hopeless.

"So Alexander is going to get away with this?" I asked him softly. When I didn't receive an answer, I knew that it was an automatic yes. He was going to get away with it.

"I'm sorry. The best I can do is speak to Alexander about it. I doubt speaking to his mother is going to do anything to help the situation." Goliath said, standing up from the bed. He walked to me and rubbed my shoulder, trying to console me.

"You should get some rest. I'll let the twins know that you're okay when I see them. Think of an excuse for them while you're at it." He said, letting me go. He walked to the door and stepped out, leaving me alone with my thoughts.

If you love them as much as I think you do, you'll keep quiet and let them win this. They deserve that crown.

That was Goliath through mind link.

After a few more minutes of pondering about which excuse to give the twins, I finally got out of Goliath's room to go and speak to them. As I shut the door, I came to a stop when I came face-to-face with Sofia. She stopped in her tracks when she saw me, staring as if she had forgotten that I lived here.

She looked at the door I had just exited from and took a deep breath. She then brushed her hair back, fixing the neat bun she had tied it into. She cleared her throat and pulled down her short black dress. As she did all of this, I looked at her without uttering a single word.

After she had finally... done what she did, she stared at me with a sickly sweet smile. I could tell it was fake because it did not reach her eyes.

"Good morning, Sofia." I said softly. She just smiled, not answering me. I pursed my lips and started walking the other way, not planning on entertaining whatever she was doing.

"What the hell were you doing in my husband's room?" She snarled, making me stop walking. I turned to look at her and pointed at the shirt I was wearing. "He was just helping me out."

A scoff escaped her lips, her smile vanishing as fast as it had come.

"I don't know who you think you are, coming from wherever you are from and distracting my children and husband from work but I won't let it happen for any longer." She hissed at me. I rolled my eyes, too tired to deal with this. The blood loss was still affecting my body.

"Trust me, if I had a choice, I wouldn't even be here." I told her. "And I'm not distracting them. It's not my fault that my presence gives your husband and children an erection." I said rudely, turning away from her and walking to her.

I almost made it down the hall when a strong force crashed against my back, sending my body flying to the wall. A terrible wave of pain surged my whole body when I hit the wall and fell on the floor. I groaned as I turned around, my eyes slowly opening.

I stared up at Sofia as she approached me angrily. She yanked me up by my arm and ripped her husband's shirt off my body, leaving me half naked. "The Gods have really done it now. Pairing my lovely boys up with a whore!" She shouted at me.

"This time you aren't leaving until you tell me exactly what you are!"

I closed my eyes, falling back on the tiled floor. I couldn't fight. I was way too weakened and exhausted. I knew that this place wouldn't be the easiest to get used to but this was something I couldn't bear. No human could bear this.

With the last bit of energy I had, I called on the twins with the mind link, because they are my only light in this dark place.
