Two Months Later

As I came out of the bathroom in a robe, while wiping my wet hair with a towel, My eyes fell on Adrien's sleeping figure. He laid on his chest with the muscles of his bare back relaxed for once. A smile cherished my face watching him sleep with his mouth open like a little baby.

I leaned further, hovering him, making the droplets of water from my hair fall on his face. When I brushed back his hair with my fingers, he squinted his eyes and slowly opened them.

"Good Morning." Watching me grin at him, a sleepy smile settled on his face before he grabbed my waist and rolled over making me fall on the bed with him on top of me. "Morning." He rasped in his bed voice that rose goosebumps on my skin. He leaned in and gave me a quick kiss before leaving for the bathroom. Meanwhile, I dressed up lazily in a sundress.

Few minutes later, after Adrien had bathed and dressed up, he came up to me with his tie.

"I'm sorry that I have to go to work on this special day." He said with a guilty frown and I faked a pout. He had informed me about the deal he had to sign with his foreign clients who would be available for just today so he wouldn't be with me until afternoon. It had upset me but I understand. "But I promise I'll make the evening worth it."

I looked up at him and gave a small smile. "I'll wait for it." Finishing his tie, I tried to move back but Adrien didn't let me.

"I love you." He said.

"I love you too." I lost count of the number of times we say this to each other in a day. But every time we do, it gives a tug to my heart. Lily was arranging the breakfast on the table when we walked in the dining area.

"Morning, you two!" She cheered and came towards us with a large smile. "Happy One Year Anniversary!"

We both returned her beautiful smile and hugged her together. "Thank you!"

It was our first wedding anniversary. One whole year with bargains, heartbreaks, betrayals and here we were. Loving each other to the end of the world.

Adrien and I wished each other at midnight and decided to do it again exactly a minute before the day ended. The first and last thing we'd say to each other on this day.

After breakfast, Adrien made his way to the office and I asked Lily to accompany me for shopping. I had to look my best tonight so I decided to spend some time and effort on myself. The day passed faster than I realized. It was five in the evening when I was ready for our plans and Adrien came to pick me up.

"Where are we going?" I asked Adrien.

"You'll see. I bet you will like it." The satisfied smirk on his face made a rush of excitement pass through me. We drove for a few more minutes then stopped near a place I had known about.

"Ice Skating!?" My voice shrieked in the car and Adrien hissed before plastering a grin over his face. When he nodded, I began jumping on my seat like a five year old was given his favorite candy. Ice Skating had been on my bucket list since I was eleven. I've had my friends going there and having fun while I had to stay back either because I couldn't afford it or I would be too occupied by my jobs.

"Let's go." Adrien said and I plunged out of the car. "Do you know how to skate?" I froze as the realization dawned on me. I didn't know how to skate and I sheepishly shook my head. Adrien sighed and took my hand in his while resuming to walk. "I may not be a great instructor but I think I can help you learn a bit." My grin was back at that and I hopped my way to the rink. Little did I know.

"Oh my god, Adrien. I can't do this." Six seconds inside the rink and I had already fallen straight on my butt. I have to reconsider the things in my bucket list.

"Come on, Crys. You've barely moved a foot. It's not that hard." I glared at Adrien. He truly was a bad instructor. "Okay, listen. Take a steady step forward and try to balance." He said, holding onto my arms like my life depended on it. I did as instructed. "That's it. You're doing grea-shit!"

I cried when my butt hit the ice with a thud. At this rate, I'm gonna have my bones shattered. Adrien bent over to make sure I was alright then helped me up. "Ow! I can't d-"

"If you say that you can't do this one more time, I will push you to fall myself." I looked at him with a horrified expression as he threatened. I was quick to lock my hand around his neck without tripping once again and smirked at him. "Try me. If I go down, I'm taking you with me." He arched an eyebrow and returned a dangerous smirk. "Is that so?" He began tickling me and I jerked, making me lose balance. But just as promised, this time Adrien fell along with me. He hovered over me as I laid on the ice on my back. The moment we got over the impact, our eyes met and we burst into laughter.

After a thousand minutes of Adrien's instructions and my falls, I had finally learned to move on the rink a little. But I still wasn't ready to go on my own so I insisted Adrien keep holding my hand and he didn't mind it. Adrien dragged me along as he skated faster and smoother and it was so much fun, I couldn't explain it.

By the time we were tired and hungry, it was nine thirty in the night. We got out of the rink and drove to Taco Bell on Adrien's craving. After our dinner and two rounds of ice cream, we were about to call it a day.

"So.. did you enjoy the evening?" Adrien asked me. I beamed at him. "I had so much fun. Thank you." I curled my hand around his which was on the gear. He smiled with content. "Is there something else you want to do?"

I thought for a moment about it and checked my phone. "It's eleven. We have one more hour before our anniversary ends." An idea flashed in my mind and I suggested it. "Let's go to the cliffside. That favorite place of yours."

"I still can't believe it's been a year." I said, recalling every moment with my husband throughout the year. We sat on the hood of his car, his arm thrown around my shoulder as we looked at the gorgeous city lights.

"I know. A whole year of thrusts and crests, with feelings and emotions all over the place, we've reached each other's arms at last."

"And I wish to never get out of your arms. You, Adrien Russell, are stuck with me for life." I wrapped my arms around his torso and snuggled closer before leaving a kiss on his jaw.

He craned his neck and gave me the most beautiful smile. "I don't want a life if it's not with you." He pecked my nose. We looked at each other for a whole minute in silence that Adrien broke soon.

"Crystal, from the first moment I saw you, I knew that you had to be mine. Leading up until we met, I thought someone so perfect seemed unattainable." I listened to him carefully. I had heard these words before but I couldn't recall where or when. "And here you are, like an angel, ready to take on whatever the world throws at us. I promise to always love you unconditionally and tell you that I love you everyday." My breath hitched as the realization occurred to me. He was repeating his wedding vows. "I am so proud that I get to call you my wife. I love you more than words can describe and I will forever." My eyes were wet by the time he finished. He grinned at me and cupped my cheek. "The last time I had said these words, I hadn't meant them. But now, exactly an year later, I repeat them and I mean every single word of it, Crystal."

I smiled through my tears and put my hand over his on my cheek and leaned into it. I looked back into his eyes and said, "Adrien, I had always dreamt of how my love story would be when I was a little girl. But eventually, I stopped because I thought I would never have someone I could truly love. Someone who would love me and cherish me like my parents did to each other. But when I met you, I felt a sense of protection, an instinct that you were someone I could count on. All the long lost emotions came running back to me. You are one of the best things that have happened to me. And therefore, I vow to live within the warmth of your heart and always call it home." I repeated my vows, just like him, meaning every word with the bottom of my heart. His smile said he recognized my words and he leaned in to press a kiss on my forehead and a second later, his lips were on mine.

We kissed as a tribute to every moment of the year we hand spent with or without each other. We fought for our love, had our hearts broken, mended them again only for us to find home within each other. His tongue slid over the seam of my lips and I gladly let him devour my mouth. When we pulled apart, my phone flashed with an alarm I had set for 11:59 PM. We looked up at each other with the brightest smiles and uttered together, "Happy Anniversary."

We leaned in again to kiss but before it could heat up, my phone chimed again with a call this time. When I looked at the caller's ID, I frowned. This is unusual at this time.

"Hey." I answered the call. My eyes widened at the news I was given. "What!? Where are you guys?" I yelled, making Adrien arch his eyebrows. "Fine, we will be there in twenty." I hung up and stared at Adrien with my wide eyes.

"It was Ethan. Hannah is in labor."
