I undid his blindfold and threw the red ribbon away and Adrien scowled at the sudden light. Adjusting to it a while later, his eyes moved around the yacht then landed on me.

"It was you?" He asked, his jaw hanging low. "It was you who got me kidnapped?" I giggled and nodded my head at him as he threw his head back in disbelief. I got off his back and untied his hands and legs, then sat back on his lap, circling my hands around his neck.

"So? Did you like my surprise?" I asked, grinning. His hands came around me and he sighed. "It definitely did not start the way I expected it to be but... I love this." He said looking around. "And this." His eyes scanned me as I was seated on him, lingering on my exposed leg. I leaned in and pressed a quick kiss on his lips before getting up and pulling him along with me.

"Come on. There's a lot more that you'll love."

I took him further inside, revealing the romantic set up to him. The yacht was nothing less than a boat-house. The room inside was dimly lit. The golden lamps shone in the semi-dark room as the sun began to set. I let Adrien walk further to the table with the cake and a card I made for him. Though I was behind him, I could sense the smile that came on his face. He picked the card up and turned around. Leaning at the table, he looked at me with adoration then began reading out the card.

"Dear Husband,

I haven't been able to stop thinking about you since the moment we met and I'm going to try and summarize all my thoughts and put it into this letter.

Adrien, earlier when we were bound together in a marriage, I thought it was a blow of wind that would make things hard for a while then pass away, just like everything else in my life did. But for once, that wind wasn't harsh like the others had been. It soothed me and... comforted me.

I hadn't realized when I had grown so fond of the wind until it became a storm and began changing my life. It took me and my everything with it. And you know what's funny? I didn't want this storm to pass. I wanted to live within it like it's my home.

Thank you for being that wind, that storm, Adrien. Thank you for being my home. It's still hard to believe that this is real. That you are real because I don't think someone as ordinary as me can have someone like you. I often wonder if this is all a dream. I want to mold myself into the shape of your desire. I want to have and be everything you like and not be everything you don't. And the strength and power that my feelings for you have over me, it's just unreal.

It's your first..."

"It's your first birthday with me and I'm probably more excited than you are. I really hope that you like my tiny attempts to make this birthday special and I hope to be by your side for all the upcoming ones.

Happy Birthday!

With Love,

Your Wife."

I interrupted and finished the letter by myself, moving closer to him and wrapping my hands around his neck. His lips were stretched into a beautiful smile and I couldn't stop mine from making an appearance.

"Thank you so much. You have no idea what this means to me." I knew he genuinely meant it. His eyes said it all. I threw myself on him and hugged him tightly. "I didn't think you'd know." He mumbled in my hair. I leaned back to look at him.

"I learned about it yesterday. Mrs. and Mr. Olsen helped me to plan all this." His mouth fell open as realization drew into him.

"No wonder he had the most ridiculous reasons to stay with him." I giggled and caressed his face. His smile disappeared as he looked into my eyes and said sternly. "You're anything but ordinary, Crystal." He said, remembering my words in the letter. "Try looking at yourself through my eyes. You are the definition of 'perfection' in my dictionary."

I smiled at him and pecked his cheek before making him turn around to the table with the cake on it. I lit up a candle and asked Adrien to do the honors. With a large smile, he blew the candle and cut the cake while I clapped excitedly. He brought the cake to my mouth and I took a bite before doing the same to him.

Neither of us could stop smiling at each other the entire time when we finished the cake and the dinner. We were roaming in the middle of the sea when Adrien had been on a call and I stood on the bow of the yacht, looking at the dark waves and feeling the wind. A minute later, when a pair of arms circled around my waist, I leaned my body on Adrien's and sighed.

"What are you doing?" He asked me, his lips bushing my ear.

"Counting the stars." I joked. The sky was full of the twinkling stars around the full moon spreading over us like a blanket of shimmer.

"How many are there?" Adrien asked, playing along.

"I'm still counting. Help me, it's fun." I said to him and heard him chuckle.

"No, thanks. I'll try it when I have nothing better to do. Maybe if you leave me someday." His arms tightened around me and I snuggled in his embrace and warmth. "If you leave me, I'll probably roam around like a drunkard, counting stars." I glanced at him over my shoulder. His brows were knot in a tiny frown' his features hard.

I turned around in his arms and cupped his face. "Well then, you're never gonna have to count stars." I whispered. "I'm going to stay with you for as long as life lets me."

He turned his face and kissed my palm, then looked back at me. "Are you happy, Crystal?" He asked.

"I've never been happier, Adrien." I answer with all my honesty. He pulled me flushed to his body by my waist. "Now ask me the same question." He said and I obliged. "Are you happy, Adrien?"

Peeking into my soul through my eyes, he said nothing for a minute. Getting impatient, I tugged at his shirt for the answer. He smiled and said. "I'm trying to think of a word in the English vocabulary that could describe how happy I am." I squinted my eyes at him and his smile turned into a grin. "And I'm not finding any, so I guess I'll have to show you." He pressed our lips together, taking me for a deep passionate kiss.

And that kiss gave me my answer. Adrien was just as happy as I was.

We pulled apart with our large smiles mirroring each other. Our foreheads were attached when Adrien spoke again. "It's so strange and unnatural." I looked up at him, wondering what he was talking about. "Our story. Normally, people first meet, then begin to like each other, then fall in love and then get married." His eyes met mine and he smiled softly. "We did everything in the wrong order." A chuckle passed both our lips thinking about it. "But I guess that's what life is. Unpredictable." He continued. His smile reached his eyes and mumbled against my skin. "And I couldn't be more grateful about it."

I rush with emotions filled in my chest. My skin tingled as Adrien's kiss landed on my forehead, then moved down to my eyes, planting them on my closed eyelids. I fisted the lapels of his suit when he kissed my cheekbones, anticipating his next move. My lips itched to feel his. I wanted him to kiss me senseless and although his breath was falling on my lips, his mouth didn't come any closer.

I opened my eyes and looked at him. Just like I had thought, his lips were a mere inch away, parted and breathing heavily. I looked into his eyes and they were no longer the blue color I was so fond of. They were darker, just like the water of the sea behind me. His forehead held a frown of strain. His hands on me were firm but not as tight as I wanted them to be. It was as if he was holding back and stopping himself.

Before I could ask him, he answered. "It's getting difficult." A wave of electricity moved down my spine when he spoke. The depth of his voice rose goosebumps on my skin and the cold breeze from the sea was no longer a problem. "I don't think I can control it anymore, Crystal." He growled.

"Control what?" I knew the answer and I knew I was pushing his buttons but I needed the confirmation. I wanted him to admit that I wasn't the only one greedy for him.

He pushed me back to the railing and pressed his body to mine, leaving no space for ever air to pass. I took in a sharp breath and held onto Adrien for support as mere knees were about to give in.

"My want for you." He rasped. "My need for you."

I got it. He gave it to me. And without another thought, I grabbed his neck, and slammed my lips to his.
