Crystal Russell
I sighed as I saw Hannah's name on the screen of my phone and answered it. "Hey."
"Ijusttestedpositiveformypregnancy." She blabbered and I frowned.
"Huh?"
"Ijusttestedpositiveformypregnancy."
"Sorry, come again?"
"Bitch, I just tested positive for my pregnancy." She said loud and clear this time.
"WHAT!?" I shrieked in happiness and heard Adrien wince.
"Girl, have you gone deaf or what? I said I ju-"
"I heard what you said, Dumbelina. You're about to be a mother! And I'll be the godmother of the baby."
"Yess! I haven't told it to Ethan yet. I want to surprise him."
"That's great. Best of luck. Tell me how he reacts."
The wide grin on my face refused to fade away even after we hung up on the call. I looked beside me on the bed and saw Adrien already laid under the blanket, looking at me with a small smile.
"Congratulations, godmother." I giggled when he said that.
"Thank you."

"Good Bye, Aunt. And please come here often. It was so much fun to have you here." I told Aunt Margaret as she was ready to leave.
"I will definitely come again. Come here." She gave me a tight hug and walked out the door with Adrien who held her bag. He insisted on dropping her to the airport.
While Adrien was gone, I decided to bring all my things back to my room, but I was held busy when Hannah called me to tell everyone's reaction to her pregnancy. I didn't realize how long we had been talking until Adrien was back.
"Hey." I said in a low voice. My mood had suddenly soured and I was upset. After I hung up on the call with Hannah, I began packing my stuff. I went inside the closet and started putting some of my small things in a basket when Adrien followed me inside.
"What are you doing?" He asked.
"I need to go back to my room." I did not look at him and continued with my work. I felt his continuous stare at me, boring holes at my back. A few minutes of silence surrounded the room and the tension was as thick as a blanket. I just wished Adrien would leave me alone so I could breathe freely.

But he didn't. Instead, he said something that made me stop what I was doing.
"Stay here, Crystal."
My limbs froze and slowly turned around, not sure if I had heard him right. I looked at him with a questioning look and he sighed, shoving his hands in his pocket. "I want you to keep staying with me in this room, Crystal. We have gotten pretty comfortable with each other, so I don't mind sharing the room with you. But if you have a problem, I-"
"You want me to continue staying in your room?" I interrupted him with a question. I wanted to make myself clear of what he meant.
"In our room. Yes." He said confidently and the heavy feeling in my heart immediately vanished.
"But why?" I asked out of curiosity. "I mean, Aunt is gone and Lily knows the truth now. We don't have to pretend anymore."
"Yes, we don't need to pretend in front of them. But I also cannot keep pretending like I don't like your presence." He said looking straight into my brown eyes and the butterflies that had made a home in my stomach began flying around altogether.
I said I need a disclaimer of the things that he says or does.
He walked towards me while I was lost in his blue orbs. We were a few feets apart when he spoke again. "So? Would you like to stay?"
"I c-can. I-if that's what you want." I struggled to speak before him. His mere presence had started to make me feel dizzy.
"Not me, Crys. What do you want?" He demanded with such authority in his voice that made me shudder. "Do you want to stay?" The distance between us decreased as he took another step forward. I looked at him through my lashes and slowly nodded.
"Words, Crystal." He demanded again and now I had started to get impatient. I looked up at him confidently and released an exasperated sigh.
"Yes, Adrien. I would like to keep staying." Each word that I said was loud and clear that made him grin widely.
"Good." He leaned forward and pressed a quick kiss on my cheeks making them turn red. I tried not to look affected but the tingles that I felt on my skin and the blush that crept up clearly said otherwise.

"Put your things back in their place. I am about to get ready for the office." And he walked out, just like that.
Later that day when Adrien came back from work, we had our dinner together and Adrien began working on his laptop on the couch.
"Adrien?" I called out for him.
"Hm?" He was so engaged in his work that he refused to look up from the laptop. I sat across from him on the couch.
"Ethan and Hannah have invited us for dinner at their place. Like a small get together to celebrate Hannah's pregnancy. Will you come along?" I asked him hopefully.
He raised his head and glanced at me. "When?"
"Tomorrow."
He thought for a couple of seconds and looked back at me. "I have something important to do tomorrow, Crys. I might have to stay late in the office. I don't think I can come." He informed me and I pouted.
"Can't you postpone the work?" I gave him my puppy eyes and looked like he was melting as he sighed.
"I just want to finish it as soon as possible. I'm sorry." He gave me a sad smile and I sighed in disappointment.
I really wished he would come along with me. I don't know why I keep looking for chances to spend time with him. My puppy eyes technique didn't work on him but I still had one card.
"Fine. At least I won't be bored with Evan's company." And he froze. Just as I expected.
"Will he be there too?" Adrien asked me.
"Duh. He's Ethan's brother." I deadpanned. I expected him to say something but he went back to typing on the laptop with a harder expression than before. Concluding that my plan to convince him had failed, I went to my side of the bed and read my novel in silence.

I dressed myself well for the dinner in a baby-pink dress and had done some nude makeup before putting on my stilettos. I picked my hand-bag up and was about to leave the room when I heard the rattling of the main door. My excitement blew to the roof when I saw Adrien come inside.
"Hey, you look ready. Give me five minutes." Before he could hurry into the room I grabbed his arm and he turned around to look at me.
"You said that you wouldn't come."
A teasing smile appeared on his face. "Being the perfect husband I am, I wouldn't do or not do anything that would make my wife upset."
I bit back a smile at his proud expression. "Or you were jealous that I will be there with Evan." I mirrored his smirk and watched his flatter. "It's a pity. I thought I could have some fun with Evan." I sighed dramatically, ignoring his fiery glare.
"Is that so?" I was taken aback when he pulled me closer to himself by my waist. "Enlighten me, Mrs. Russell. What fun would you and Evan have exactly had together?"
Although his grip on my waist was firm, I had to hold his shoulders for support, leaving a few inches between our faces. "We- we would..." I didn't know what to say.
"Whatever you think you can do with him, is nothing compared to what you can do with me." His voice was low and stern. I had to hold my breath when he inched his face a little closer. "Tell me, Crystal. Would you like it if Evan held you like this?" I was losing my senses at the feeling of Adrien's thumb drawing circles on my waist. He was demanding an answer so I shook my head. I wouldn't want anyone but Adrien to be so close to me.
"Use your words, Crys."
"No." A mere whisper escaped my lips, definitely boosting up his ego.
I closed my eyes and gently clutched his shoulders when he leaned forward and kissed my cheek. "Would you want him to kiss you like this?"
"No."
"Then I have no reason to be jealous of him." He pulled back and I opened my eyes as the reality hit me when I saw him smiling with satisfaction. I turned around to block my heated face from his sight. I heard him chuckle before he retreated towards the room.
He's making me go crazy.
