We stayed like that allowing silence to embrace us until the door burst open. "Well, what do we have here?" A husky voice drawls as two men come through the door; rouges. Their scent made me gag and I swung a haymaker at the nearest catching him in the jaw, he growls and grabs me as I scream and see Charlie fighting off the other one she lunges at him but he dodges her attempt and throws her to the floor she growls and goes to rise but the man slams her head into the floor and she slumps downwards, unconscious.

"What do you want?" I ask my voice trembling as the man bonds my hands with ropes laced with wolfsbane. He leans in close and whispers into my ear and my blood runs cold.

"Our employer sent us to pick you two up something to do with a vendetta against you and you're mate..." He trails off and I know it's Carrie I go to scream but it's muffled as I feel pressure on my neck and then everything goes black...

Two hours later... (Lauren's Pov)

I woke up in the back of a black SUV. It was dark and the stench made me want to gag, I knew that nobody was in here except me and Charlie because the rogues scents where mainly at the front. "Charlie?" I called out to her even with my enhanced vision the darkness only let me see her silhouette.

"Lauren? Are you ok?" She asks and I hear movement as she shuffles closer to me.

"Yeah, I'm ok but I don't know about the baby. I think that it's ok but I need to protect it can you help?" I ask. I am seriously desperate to keep my baby safe! I feel hands wrap around mine and squeeze them gently. "What are you doing?" I whisper.

"Praying to the moon goddess, if she hears us she can answer our prayer and keep the baby safe whilst we figure out how to get out of here." She says; I just nodded. Please here us! I suddenly felt tingles shout through me and a wave of power so strong I gasped. I closed my eyes as a bright knife like shaft broke through the darkness.

"Open you're eyes my dear, I mean you no harm" the voice drifted over to me melodically and I did as asked. I was shocked the moon goddess was stood before me her hair was flowing and she wore a white floor length gown and had bare feet. Her face was angelic and soft.

"Moon goddess? Is that you?" I whispered I was probably hallucinating. Nope. I wasn't.

She nodded and drifted over to me taking my face in her hands she looked at me lovingly. "I understand you are in a dangerous situation Lauren and also that you are carrying a child." She says and I can only nod. "To answer you're prayer I can gift you with the power to protect this child until it is born but on one condition". She says I nod. I would kill to protect my baby.

"You must tell Samson that you are carrying this child and soon as if you keep it a secret it will strain your relationship".

"Of course I will! I was waiting for the right time!" I exclaim. She nods and presses her lips to my forehead and I feel power surge through me and travel down my body to where the baby lies protecting it.

"And Charlie, I also know that you are a few weeks pregnant also. This shouldn't have been kept from you're mate and friends but I shall protect you also so long as you protect each other you will remain safe". She says and does the same thing with Charlie. "Stay safe, my children and live happily". With those partying words she drifts away and the light fades...

I feel the car stop and panicked I move closer to Charlie as the doors are swing open. Two burly rogues reach for us and pull us out.

The light is blinding and I have to blink away the bright spots as the sun stares down at us. "Move!" The blonde rogues snarls and shoves me, I hit the ground hard. Ouch.

I hear Charlie growl lowly as I'm hauled to my feet roughly. "Next time it'll be a beating!" He snarls as I force my legs to move. I see a old house with a sign that reads: Kale's auction house.

Again I'm shoved roughly and I look at Charlie whose eyes are filled with fear.

Charlie? Are you ok?

Honestly? No I think that carries revenge is to auction us but I don't know why or how she plans to do it.

Crap! We have to get away!
