Conceal. Don't feel. Don't let them know was your motto these days. There are three things that can't be hidden away forever in life, the sun, the moon and the truth because sooner or later the truth is bound to come out. You were never really exposed to the idea of love before and it was due to your upbringing. You grew up in a rather conservative family where even opposite genders hugging each other was frowned upon by most members in your family. Your family consisted of your father who rarely ever paid you any attention and praised you in life, an uncle Prashant who was your father's brother who loved you like a father and filled that role for you, an aunt Nandini who was your dad's sister in law who looked after you and cared for you like a mother, another uncle Vijay who was a well respected lawyer and didn't stand for any nonsense and his wife Beena, who was usually short tempered and never missed any chance and opportunity to criticize you for your mistakes and the sad thing was whenever she would criticize you, your actual dad didn't care that much but your uncle and aunt were quick to defend your actions. You also had 2 cousins, Shikha who was already married and Sakshi who was your age and you both had a pretty good relationship with each other as far as most relationships with cousins went

You were the stereotypical good girl, always following your rules and you stayed out of trouble as you worked hard to make your family proud of you and especially your dad. Would it kill your actual dad to spend some time with you? You were grateful for Prashant and Nandini for being there for you at every step of the way in life and always supporting you. It was time for you to get going back to Hogwarts and your uncle Prashant would be dropping you off. You had a glass of milk and you were about to dash off as your aunt Beena glared at you and spoke "Aren't you going to at least greet your elders? Kids these days have no manners'' and she grumbled under her breath as you and you couldn't help but internally roll your eyes to yourself. Prashant smiled slightly to himself and replied "She's getting late dear sister in law, we shouldn't keep occupying her time like this'' and your father who was reading his newspaper replied "As if Beena is even worth greeting'' and she looked indignant as they both started bickering with each other and you felt sorry you weren't there to hear their incessant bickering with each other since it usually gave you a lot of enjoyment

Luckily you reached King's Cross on time and you joined your friends Harry, Ron and Hermione in the compartment they were at. The sorting took place as usual and before you knew it,time passed by pretty fast. One day a pink colored envelope was delivered to you by an owl. "Huh, I wonder what's in it'' you wondered curiously as your friends Ginny and Luna joined you for breakfast at the Great Hall. "Ohh, looks like Y/N got herself a love letter'' smiled Ginny and Luna asked "Who is it from?'' as you replied "I don't know, I haven't opened it yet and how can you be sure it's a love letter?" "The envelope is pink, most people use pink envelopes to express their feelings of love'' said Ginny and you couldn't help but go red. "Who the heck would ever want to send a love letter to me?" '' I'm actually not surprised that someone did send you one, plenty of guys and girls do like you'' but you only listened to half of what Ginny said. You were nervous because of the letter in your hands. If your family found out about the love letter, you would be literal toast. That letter for you was like a death certificate

"I'll read it later'' as you quickly stuffed it deep inside your bag and went with your friends to your classes. Soon the term was done and you didn't really get the time to read the letter till when you were going back home for the holidays. There was a note inside it that could either be deemed as creepy or sweet, depending on how you looked it at it but there was no name written under the letter, it was just signed 'By your secret admirer'. You hid your letter in one of your books since you didn't want to lose something precious like that and you went back home. Your cousin Sakshi needed one of your pens and when she ruffled through your bag for your pouch, your book fell out and the love letter as well. She gasped in surprise and while you were reading a book in you room she decided to ask you about it. "Y/N, what is this? No, who gave it to you?" as she brandished the letter in your face and you looked like you were about to have a heart attack. "I don't know who gave it to me but please I'm begging you, don't tell anyone please...'' you pleaded with her and she had a sympathetic look on her face as she replied "Of course I won't. But once you do find out who your secret admirer is, do tell me. I'm actually jealous of you...'' she pouted and you chuckled and replied "Oh don't be so glum, I'm sure someone has you in their heart and mind'' and she replied "I hope that someone is a famous celebrity'' and you couldn't help but roll your eyes and laugh. Your cousin was always star struck and love sick but she was also a dependent person

"Are you both going to keep yapping with each other or will you both come for dinner? I swear to Merlin, that blasted TV is spoiling you kids these days'' grumbled your aunt Beena as she hammered on your door calling you both for dinner. When you all were eating dinner, your aunt Beena said she needed some cream from your room and when she went in your room that's when you got a start. You didn't hide the love letter after your cousin took it out and she looked at you in fear, and you couldn't help but imagine the amount of chaos that would ensue after this. Your uncle Prashant would be disappointed in you, your other uncle would literally slap you and you had a feeling your dad might actually murder you for this. Your aunt Beena came out with a really pissed off look on her face and she revealed that you got a love letter. "Surely you must be joking, Y/N wouldn't receive something like that'' said your aunt Nandini and your uncle Vijaya replied "Do you have proof?" and your aunt said the letter was in the room

Just then your cousin said she needed something from your room as she raced to your room and she quickly hid the letter. When everyone went inside your room, your aunt Beena looked around for it and she glared at you and asked you where the letter was. You just shrugged and replied that you had no idea but when your cousin gave you a secret wink and a thumbs up sign, you could understand that she hid the letter for you and you thanked her silently. Your aunt rounded on you and spoke "I will find out whatever you're hiding missy and I will not spare you once I do'' and your father replied "I suggest you get your eyes checked'' and you silently thanked your stars that you were able to prevent something chaotic. For now

The next day on the radio the news was being broadcasted about the Malfoy family as usual. "Dear, I hope you stay safe from him'' your uncle Prashant said and you nodded "Pests like him are the reason why society is unsafe for people these days. What's worse is that his son is going to the same school as my daughter'' growled your father but you were more focused on the radio. During the evening you went out to the local library to read some of the books there. You were on good terms with the librarian there and she offered you some good book recommendations. You spent some time reading the books there and when it was around 7:00 pm in the evening you decided it would be a good time to come back home. You borrowed a book from the library and you were in good spirits, there was nothing that could dampen your happiness for the time being till you met HIM

You were minding your own business and you passed by some drunken guys and you clutched your book closer to your chest and you walked faster. You didn't need to associate yourself with trouble right now however your fate wasn't that merciful to you. The guys saw you and leered at you, making lewd and degrading comments that made you feel disgusted but you kept walking hoping things would be okay if you'd just ignored them. But they started following you and you finally got so pissed and enraged you decided to use your wand against them. "YOU MORONS, CAN'T YOU UNDERSTAND WHAT NO MEANS?!" you screamed on top of your lungs and you blasted them with a beam of purple light from your wand as they went flying backwards. That was most certainly like a wake up call for them and they weren't really happy with what you've done. "You stupid little-'' growled out one of the guys as he cane running towards you and you raised your hand ready to defend yourself against this drunk bozo but to your immense surprise someone else came to your rescue

"Haven't your parents ever taught you it's rude to touch someone against their wishes? Oh wait... lemme guess, your parents must have abandoned you after you were born since they knew you'd be huge disappointments to them'' said a nonchalant and smooth voice, as you internally thought to yourself 'God damn, this dude is savage' when he roasted the other guys with his words. You couldn't help but be impressed with his top notch gold tier sarcasm and levels of destroying those moron's confidence levels. However all fun and games apart, he scared you as well since the very next thing he did was use his magic to strangle them and your eyes widened and you called out to him. "Uh... I think it's okay now, you can let them go'' but no avail. He continued to do so and he had this wicked gleam in his eyes as they fell down unconscious due to suffocation and lack of oxygen. You knew you had to run away and you did. You ran for your life, as fast as your legs could carry you and you stopped after a few minutes to catch your breath. Running wasn't exactly your forte

"It's rude to leave without knowing the person and without a goodbye. What's worse is you didn't thank me after I saved you from those scumbags~" the mysterious voice suddenly said to you and you looked around in a start as you found none other than DRACO freaking MALFOY standing right behind you. You gulped nervously and you replied "Right... well, thank you for saving me, uhh... I'll be going now'' and you walked backwards but his eyes glinted with amusement and he came closer to you as he spoke "You know I'm not going to hurt you right darling?" and you were confused. "Why did you come chasing after me then?' you asked him suspiciously and he breathed out a soft amused chuckle and he simply handed you your handkerchief back. Your eyebrows raised in question but you accepted your handkerchief back

He lifted your chin with his index finger and spoke "You're cute you know that? I hope you liked my letter'' and you answered "Wait.. it was YOU who sent that letter? I barely even know who you are! We rarely ever spoke with each other...'' "Oh darling, love doesn't really need reason now does it? Just by seeing you everyday at Hogwarts made me drawn to you.. perhaps it's destiny and fate that we're meant to be after all... Try not to spend too much time around those riff raffs like Saint Potter, that blood traitor and Mudblood, it gets under my nerves'' "I really should be going now...'' you said nervously and fortunately for you he decided to let you go. "Don't worry darling, I'll make you mine soon'' he said to himself as he watched you leave

Sure enough he did stick by his promise and made sure to keep visiting you during the holidays by finding out where you lived. The very first time he entered your house was when you and the other members of your family were sleeping. There was a bag of rice nearby and he'd accidentally kicked it but he felt relieved since he'd read according to Hindu customs and rituals that it was sort of like a housewarming ceremony for him so he considered it as auspicious. He entered your room and saw you sleeping, it took him all his might to prevent himself from fawning over how adorable and cute you looked. Your room was like a shrine for him, he was marveled and amazed at the number of trophies and certificates and awards you had in your room. He felt proud of you for accomplishing so much. He spent some time in your room as he gently kissed your lips and as the sun was about to rise, he decided he had to get going but not before he wrote another letter for you proclaiming his love. And this was where all the trouble for you started

You'd meet him everyday at Hogwarts and whenever you were hanging out with some other friends that he didn't like, he'd pull you into a nearby empty classroom and whisper in your ears that you were his alone and not anyone else's as he'd kiss you possessively. His feelings for you became even more out of control for you and he realized that he needed you like he needed air. While he was making preparations to get you for himself, you couldn't help but think that Draco was actually pretty nice. Quite a long time passed since you both grew closer to each other and you didn't know it would become problematic for you later on. Soon you were back home again and your aunt Beena was coming back from her daily evening walk one day when she overheard you saying the words 'I love you' to someone

Her eyes widened and she was itching to find out who the heck you said those words to but it was too dark outside for her to do so. She wanted to literally drag you by your ears and make sure you were caught red handed for saying those words. And as for that schmuck to whom you confessed your so called love for him, she'd make sure he was hunted down and dealt with but she knew she couldn't tell the other members of the family since they wouldn't believe her so she needed to wait for the right chance. You were finally caught by your family members and the secret of your hushed relationship with none other than Draco Malfoy was out when she read those love letters you'd received from him. There were so many of them she was absolutely aghast. She literally dragged you by the arm and exposed you to everyone and the pandemonium and chaos ensued

SMACK! The sound of your father slapping you across your face resonated through the four walls in your house. "It would have been better if you'd died than putting our family through such shame!" your father thundered and you sobbed. "Is this why and how we brought you up!?'' he yelled and continued to hit you but your cousin Sakshi prevented you from getting hit and your aunt and uncle came in the way as well, shielding you from your father's wrath. "Let's all just sit down and have a civilized conversation'' pleaded your uncle Prashant but your aunt Beena replied "Too late for that now dear brother in law, she's already blackened our family's name and reputation in society. Silly girl thinks she attends Hogwarts and becomes posh and think she can act like however she wants. I TOLD you to keep an eye on her actions but who even listens to what I have to say anymore here?" as she dramatically wrung her hands up

"STOP!" yelled your uncle Vijay but your father snarled "I won't spare her today... a romance affair! WITH A BLOODY ROTTEN MALFOY OF ALL PEOPLE!?" as he slapped you once again but your cries of pain fell on deaf ears to your father. Your uncle Vijay finally managed to calm your father down and after giving you a glass of water, he asked you to explain yourself and your actions. You did and when you got to the part where you met him the fateful night he saved you from those goons and when you started getting closer to Draco, apparently that was the wrong thing to say because as soon as those words left your mouth, you literally didn't see him about to slap you. "You've slandered and done enough, now we'll do what needs to be done'' your uncle spoke in a really frighteningly calm demeanor

Meanwhile Draco was wondering how you didn't come to meet him today at the park near the cherry blossom tree where you guys would usually meet. The cherry blossoms were blooming fully and he knew you'd love to see it bloom. He felt like something was wrong, his heart was telling him that something wasn't right when it came to you. He quickly went back to his manor and accessed your house with his magic 'for safety purposes' and him being enraged when he saw your uncle slapping you was the understatement of the freaking CENTURY. He gritted his teeth in rage and his fists tightened with anger. He knew he had to get you out of there immediately before something happened to you. Draco was willing to fight anyone for your love, even your own family members as well. No one dares to lay a hand on the love of his life and expects to get the hell away with it as he apparated to your house

"Dear, do you really love him?" asked your uncle Prashant with a serious expression and you were speechless. You didn't know how to respond to his question and your aunt Nandini and uncle Prashant could see he clearly made you happy. They didn't really have an objection to your relationship with him as long as he kept you safe and cared for you. However when your uncle Vijay said you were going to be marrying one of their family's friends Sharad your blood turned ice cold. You've met him many times and you didn't like his behavior at all, he was abusive and had a really short and nasty temper. He actually slapped you just because you refused to accept flowers from him before. "I will NOT have Y/N marry an abuser like Sharad, I'll never be able to look myself in the eye if I do'' your uncle firmly stated and caressed your head and your father growled "Don't pretend to act like some noble guy here Prashant, she's MY daughter and I know what's good for her. At least THEN she'll get these stupid thoughts of love and romance and whatnot out of her head''

Draco heard this and he wasn't pleased at all. He managed to cut off the entire electrical supply of your house and while it was dark and people were scrambling about here and there, Draco seized the opportunity to save you. He pressed a cloth to your face and he whispered "I'm sorry doll, it's the only way for you to be safe'' and you were out like a light as he carried you back to your new house with him where you'd start a new chapter and a new phase of life with him. Hopefully you'll be able to see that this was all for your own good and he did this for your love. He also has confidence and faith that you'll love him just as much as he loves you
