Percy isn't someone who takes things like love seriously. It's a trivial matter and thing for him, his main goal is to be the number one in academics and get a good job at the Ministry of Magic and he has his life's goals set and future planned ahead till you came along and made him feel all these conflicting emotions. It's all YOUR fault you know? Percy was just doing his work, minding his own business when you suddenly have to come into his life and even though he does sometimes act like your presence is a bit of a hindrance when he does work, he secretly loves spending time with you a lot. The first time he met you was when you were reading in the library all by yourself when the others were at Hogsmeade

He never really interacted with you which was something he was sorry about. He was planning on working on his essay and when he was doing so, you lightly tapped his shoulder and corrected one of his mistakes. "The Boomslang snake is found in South Africa, not Peru'' you simply said as you got back to reading your book and he looked at you surprised for a few minutes. He pulled out a book and when he cross checked and saw you were indeed telling the truth he was impressed and thankful you've managed to save him from making an embarrassment of himself at his next class. After all, if he's aiming for the Ministry he couldn't be tardy in his work. He glanced at you, you didn't have an insufferable air of pride after correcting him and you genuinely meant well for him which he admired. He said he appreciated your help as he completed his essay

The next time he interacted with you was when he saw you during dinner again and thanked you for your help by summoning a plate of cream rolls for you. "Oh thank you but I possibly couldn't. I need to head to the Owlery to send a letter to my mum'' you smiled at him but he was firm in his decision. "That still should not make you want to miss out on dinner. Sleeping on an empty stomach does a lot more harm than good'' said Percy and you were confused as to why the Gryffindor Prefect was suddenly taking such an interest in your life all of a sudden. However you didn't say anything at the moment as you relented and dug into the cream rolls as you immediately raced to the Owlery. Percy watched you leave and he yelled after you "NO RUNNING IN THE HALLWAY!" but somehow this time around, he was willing to excuse you for it

He paid more attention to your behavior. You were incredibly learnt and knowledgeable. You always had answers to various questions and more than he'd like to admit, things he didn't know himself. But you weren't prideful about it which he admired you for. He first thought you were a mere distraction and that fateful day when you both met each other was not supposed to happen but he couldn't be more thankful for it. He observed you from afar, picked up impressive words and enriched his vocabulary as he heard you speak. You liked to sing to yourself when you were alone at the Forbidden Forest and when he saw you going there, his heart was about to jump out of his chest. Why in the name of Merlin would you be going there? Were you going to meet someone? Was it one of those filthy pesky guys who always ogled you for too long, he sincerely hoped not. Even though he knew he shouldn't be abusing his powers as the Prefect he can't help but assign them detention or use his influence to make sure they land in detention so they stay far away from you

When he heard you sing to yourself, he felt like time had stopped. He felt at ease, he felt calm and peaceful. He loved the way you sang, you sang like a nightingale as he watched you sing with a soft smile on his face. Your voice most certainly did sound magical. Then he remembered what he was there for and told you that you weren't supposed to be in the Forbidden Forest all by yourself since it was far too dangerous. "Were you following me around or something? How did you know I was here anyways?" you eyed him suspiciously and he coolly replied "Your friends told me where you were. And it is a part of my duty to keep you safe'' and he made you promise you wouldn't be here again at least, not without bringing someone else. That someone mainly being him

He wouldn't actually confess to you at first since he's really nervous about his feelings for you. He realizes he's far too much in love with you and he desires to have you all for himself but he just can't bring himself to confess his feelings for you. So, he'll practice things to say to you by writing them on a piece of parchment or a letter and then furiously striking it out with a vexed expression, his heart banging against his chest even more. You're like a light that's attracting him to you and for some reason he can't stay away. He's getting distracted from his studies and goals because of you. The last straw for him would be if he sees you getting asked out by someone. Red is all he sees and he'll literally be seething with rage and anger. How DARE that filthy pest try to steal you away from him? But instead of venting his anger out in a mindless and pointless manner he decides to counter attack

He's read PLENTY of books in his lifetime to know ENOUGH about getting back at others. So he'll pull in some favors here and there, spread some rumors around and people WILL believe him. Who wouldn't believe the star student of Hogwarts after all? His records are pretty clean and he uses them as a fair advantage for gaining an upper hand on his rivals. Do you think he'll be done with them just after destroying their reputation? Oh no, when he intends to destroy someone he WILL put in all the effort required and needed to eradicate them from both of your lives so you can be with him in harmony. From psychological suffering to hexing them with charms and spells and whatnot and even going as far as sabotaging their future and getting them mixed in something illegal, he's willing to do all that for you. YOU made him into this

He doesn't even realize his so called love for you has gone completely out of hand and control but does he care? Of course not. He will then proceed to ask you out effective immediately since he can't have other scumbags trying to steal you away from him. If you accept, well and good for you. I can't assure you that you won't get kidnapped even if you guys are dating or going out with each other, this guy is OVERPROTECTIVE as HELL and he takes possessiveness to a whole new other level. A literal textbook definition of possessiveness to be precise. And if you refuse him, you'll still be kidnapped by him. He'd love to introduce you to his family and if he's met you when he's already working with the Ministry, his heart will be longing to introduce you to his family but he can't since he's now with the other side of the Wizarding law. He'd also love to start a family with you and have kids

Percy might love you but he will punish you when you get out of hand with your misbehavior since he will not stand for it at all. He'll not make your favorite food and restrict you from doing stuff you enjoy and will make you do things like chores and stuff. It'll be like you're grounded and that's the only punishment you'll get from him. He doesn't believe in physically or mentally harming you because he does love you. He'll just sigh to himself in disappointment when you call him a monster but he's certain that one day you'll love him as much as he loves you
