Being the golden boy of Hogwarts most certainly did have its perks. Cedric uses his influence to be closer to you and no one ever notices a thing, why would you doubt the most honest and nicest guy at Hogwarts? None of them knew there was a dark and manipulative side inside him and neither did you. Cedric was in the 5th year and you were in your 4th year. Even though you've heard people gush so much about Cedric you didn't really know what to think of him, sure he did sound perfect and nice but that doesn't mean he was actually perfect at literally everything. You didn't understand why people would swoon all over him and it's like he's got everyone trapped under a spell of his or something

Your favorite place to hang out was at the library, where you could sit there and enjoy reading a book in peace. Madam Pince didn't mind when you'd come, in fact you're like the only student she tolerates being in the library because she knows you take care of the books really well. You even like to help her and she's never mean to you. It was another regular day and you skipped lunch to work on one of your essays for potions. Snape would really let you have it if you didn't finish it and as much as you wanted to tear your hair out in frustration, that had to wait since potions was next period. You had tons of books in front of you and you were thinking of what to scribble on your parchment so Snape would at least give you an A for Acceptable

Just then Cedric wandered into the library and he saw you, working so diligently on your essay, face scrunched up in concentration as you looked a bit stressed. Cedric felt the need to help you out and he wanted to eradicate the source of stress from your life. You heard someone pull a chair at the table you were sitting at and when you looked up and saw none other than Cedric sitting next to you, you were surprised. What in the name of Merlin was he doing here? "Need some help?" he asked you kindly and you were busy staring like a dope till your mind told you to snap out of it and you replied "Oh..uh.. no thank you, I don't want to burden you'' but he replied "Nonsense you wouldn't be a burden'' as he glanced at your paper and continued "Ah, potions, what's the topic if you don't mind me asking?'' and you replied "Potions that generate feelings'' and he told you about Amortentia, a potion that generated love and you jotted it down. He helped you complete your essay and when you asked him what he was doing in the library he replied "Oh you know, just browsing for some study material for Transfiguration. I should be asking you that question though, you're like the only person here when everyone else is at lunch'' to which you replied "I actually skipped lunch to do this... I'm not even that hungry anyways, Snape's taunts will give me a full stomach if I didn't complete this on time'' but he was not having it

Even though it was sort of his first time interacting with you he already felt a protective urge for you. You didn't have lunch? But lunch is the most important part of the day! Cedric told you it wasn't healthy for you to stay without eating and so he waved his wand and spoke "Accio cream rolls'' and within a span of a few seconds a platter of cream rolls came floating into the library. Of course he had to hide it from Madam Pince since she's very particular about not eating or drinking anything in the library. "Here, I hope you like them'' and you thanked him as you took a bite from one of the cream rolls and relished the taste. "It must have been a sight for the others to see a floating platter of cream rolls in the air'' you chuckled and he laughed as well. Soon it was time for you to get going to potions and you once again thanked Cedric for his help as he watched you leave, thinking that it probably wouldn't be the last time he'd see you

Sure enough he was right. He saw you once again at the Great Hall during dinner sitting with your friends and laughing about something. Cedric wasn't focusing on what Hannah was saying at the moment, his eyes were locked on you. When you both met each other's eyes, you smiled at him and mouthed a 'Thank you' and he gave you a thumbs up. Hey, you got an 'E' in Snape's class, something that you didn't even expect at all thanks to him. After you were done with your dinner Cedric and you talked for a while and then he dropped you off to your dormitory as his mind started thinking about you once more. You started spending more time with him these days and his heart would burst with immeasurable joy when you'd do so. Cedric loved being in your presence, overtime he even started getting clingier and even more overprotective of you. Just a few days back when you decided to venture off into the Forbidden forest to pet some unicorns he showed up out of nowhere and took you back to the castle. When you asked him how he even got there he conjured up a lie about one of your friends telling him that you were there when he was actually following you and then proceeded to lecture you about the dangers of the Forbidden Forest, then made you promise you wouldn't wander off like this again

After this incident Cedric decided to appoint himself as your guardian, making sure you were safe since he was starting to grow paranoid about your safety. His yandere tendencies would come into play when you go off somewhere without telling him. Don't you it's too dangerous for someone innocent and naive like you to be out on your own? He's always around you no matter what, it's like he became your shadow or something. His obsession towards you will be shown even more if he sees someone he doesn't like talking with you or if someone dares to ask you out for that matter. Boy or girl, he doesn't give a damn. You're supposed to be his. The other day Marcus Flint was being extra touchy feely with you when you were out at the courtyard. Cedric was just coming back from Potions and all his classes were done. He saw Marcus being too close to you, much to close to your liking and his fists tightened as he stomped over to you both and spoke with a forced smile "Hey Marcus! Excuse me, I need to borrow Y/N for a moment'' and he dragged you away from him

He felt rage and anger coursing through his veins, how dare Marcus do something like that to you? He wanted to just wring his neck like a twig and hex him. He pulled you aside and asked you if he was giving you any trouble and you shook your head and replied that no he wasn't. How cute, you were defending someone even though he did something wrong, it was clear and evident you cared a lot for people. You were too nice, people could take advantage of your kindness, which was why he needed to be with you at all times no matter what. So he can protect you from scumbags like Marcus Flint and the others

Keep in mind he's also the pride of Hufflepuff, meaning those guys are willing to do literally ANYTHING for him. Even going as far as hexing to using the unforgivable curses on people who give him trouble. They see the way he acts around you, all soft and clingy and ready to do anything for you. They know he likes you which was why when you get paired up with Hannah or Ernie or someone from Hufflepuff, they'll try setting you up with him, randomly discussing all his good qualities so you'll fall for him. They'll also see to it that no one dares to ask you out. They're like this unofficial secret service guards for you. Cedric thinks you both would make the perfect couple and so do the others

He'll ask you out in really public way so you won't be able to say no to him. And when you do say yes, he'll be so elated and happy, he'll hug you and kiss you on your lips. Expect him to be more clingier to you and you can't even walk to classes now without him shepherding you here and there. You feed into his delusional fantasies every day and he plans on making sure no obstacles come in between your love for him. Else he'll just have to get rid of them. You both are the perfect couple and he plans on making it stay that way, even after you two get married which will most certainly happen. Cedric loves you no matter what and he's willing to go as far as killing for you, you should realize by now people aren't always who they seem to be
