You usually spent your time reading books and playing your flute as a way of relaxing. You also had powers which you'd be putting to good use later on. One day as soon as you were coming back from he bakery nearby, the sky was getting a bit darker and there was barely anyone around. Suddenly a shrill scream of a girl pierced the calm atmosphere around. You rushed to the source of the voice and when your reached there, you saw a demon about to kill the little girl. Like hell were you just going to stand by and let a little girl get killed by a demon. You needed to do something. Luckily the demon still didn't see you so you took the opportunity to use your fire powers and you sent a blast of fire towards the demon without harming the little girl. The demon reconciled back and hissed as you as it charged at you but you pushed the little girl out of the way and used your powers against the demon. Your powers weren't that strong to literally kill a demon, you didn't have the powers and skills of an actual Demon Slayer but you didn't need to worry about the demon killing you because you saw blinding white flash of light come from behind you that hit the demon in the chest and before you knew it, the demon was dead

You looked back to see who could have done it and you saw someone wearing blue colored robes and a blue cap carrying a stick. He introduced himself as Dumbledore and told you get home safe. He was around the area because he was researching about demons. You went back home and told your family about what happened. Of course they were all rather concerned about what happened and asked you if you were all right. You replied that you were and you weren't really allowed to step out of the house for 2 weeks in case something happened to you

However Dumbledore got to know about your powers and after doing some research about you, he felt like you'd be a wonderful student at Hogwarts. He felt you'd be safe at Hogwarts where there were professors and himself to take care of students(Lol who are we kidding here?) and so an acceptance letter from Hogwarts was sent for you after he told Professor Armando Dippet about you and received special permission to admit you into Hogwarts. You'd be joining as a 3rd year and when you received the letter, you were ecstatic. You had no idea about witches and wizards and stuff but you felt like you could manage. You had to literally beg and plead your family to let you go to Hogwarts and after they ran some background checks and found out there were security measures to keep students safe, they came with you for shopping at Diagon Alley and you finally got on the Hogwarts express. Only after you promised to send them letters everyday so they'd know you were safe. And your brother would drop by every now and then

You were sitting alone in a compartment till the door slid open and in came a raven haired boy with green robes and took a seat in front of you. You had a book and you went back to reading it, as the guy in front of you stared at you intently. You could feel him staring at you and when you looked up and spoke "Is there anything I could help you with?" and he replied "I haven't seen you around Hogwarts. Who are you?'' and you replied "Oh, I'm Y/N Rengoku and I'm new here. Truth be told I don't really know a lot about witches and wizards and stuff but I'm sure I'll be able to learn. I haven't gotten your name though'' and he smirked at you and answered "The name's Tom Riddle. Tom Marvolo Riddle, the descendant of none other than Salazar Slytherin himself'' and when you told him you had no clue who that was he just chuckled to himself and dug something out from his bag. He handed you a book and told you to read it during your free time

You went back to reading your book and Tom for some reason couldn't get you out of his head. You were so quiet and not really that different like he was when he first started Hogwarts. Not really knowing anything or anyone but eager to learn. He was in the 5th year and he made a mental note to keep an eye on you and he wondered which house you'd go into. He hoped it would be Slytherin, he could spend more time with you like that. He'd be incredibly livid if you end up in Gryffindor though. When he was thinking all this about you the compartment door suddenly opened and there were 3 guys standing out asking Tom why he didn't chose to sit with them. He told them there wasn't enough space and Lestrange's eyes wandered to you as he wolf whistled at you and spoke "Damn... don't you look cute? I bet you have a pretty scream...'' which earned a few sniggers from the guys around as you just turned away and bent down so low that your book covered your face. You felt ashamed of their remarks and as much as Tom was a pretty dark guy in general he wasn't going to sit around and tolerate people being disrespectful to women especially to a beautiful one like you

"You better have control over your tongue Lestrange and instead of talking nonsense like that. I'll have you know I do no under any circumstances tolerate disrespect to women'' which shut everyone up. He asked them to leave him in peace with you and when they did, he spoke "Don't get used to this, I don't really apologize for the others but I'm willing to make an exception for you. I apologize for those incompetent gits and fools. They need to learn to be respectful especially to a beautiful person like you'' and you blushed. The train soon came to a halt and when you were going with the other first years Tom told you not to be nervous and you felt a bit relieved. The Sorting took place and when it was your turn, Tom leaned forward in his seat and so did Professor Dumbledore. He saw Professor Dumbledore looking at you intently and he frowned, he must be up to something for sure. For some reason he felt Dumbledore didn't like him but no matter, he wasn't a huge fan of him either. You got sorted into Ravenclaw and Tom couldn't help but feel a bit disappointed. Then he did an introspection of himself and his feelings. Wait. Why was he feeling disappointed just because you didn't end up in Slytherin? Why was he so concerned about random girl he just met that very day?

As days and months passed, Tom would still spend time with you, asking you if you felt comfortable with things and liked the classes. Whenever you spent time with him, Tom started feeling different around you. He didn't know why he wanted to spend his entire day with you, why he cared so much about what you thought. You didn't really interact that much with other people and kept yourself to yourself which he liked. You weren't loud and annoying and he blamed you for falling obsessed with you and his thoughts comprised of mainly you. He simply needed to know what you were up to, his friends already caught on to his little 'crush' that was you and ended up teasing him for it. They'd sometimes teasingly flirt with you only for Tom to threaten them while glaring at them and promising to kill them if they ever DARED to even THINK about doing that again. And let me tell you, NO ONE wants to be threatened by Tom Riddle, the dude's scary and creepy as hell WITHOUT him being mad. However there was one thing he couldn't stand you doing, you spending too much time with none other than Rubeus Hagrid

As it is he didn't like Hagrid since he knew he was harboring some sort of secret which he vowed to find out someday and when he saw you all smiles and friendly with Hagrid he immediately snarled and got up from his seat at the Slytherin table as he dragged you to the library, your protests falling on deaf ears. He pinned you to a wall and hissed "Why are you spending time with that... with that oaf Hagrid?" and you looked at him in surprise, he was usually nice to you you'd never seen him so unhinged and angry before. You had to admit he did scare you a bit. "Tom please, w-why are you so angry? We're just friends'' and he leant in closer to you and replied "He seems to want something else from you. You better stay away from him, he has secrets that are dangerous for you and if I see you spending time with him, you wont' like what I'll do to your pesky friends. You're mine, you belong to me, you understand!" and you let out a small whimper and nodded. You didn't know why he was acting like this but he was starting to scare you. He felt satisfied and tilted your face with his finger and pulled you in for a kiss. You tried squirming away from his grip but he was too strong for you and after he finally pulled away and pulled you in for a hug with a deranged look and stroked your hair and whispered in your ears, 'You're mine'. You had no idea you've made the unfortunate mistake of befriending a delusional deranged monster obsessed with you. You now had to pay the price for your mistake and sadly it was only just the beginning of the many obstacles you'd have to face in the future
