"So what you, landed yourself in detention? You'll still be playing in the Quidditch match tomorrow, right?" Katie tried to reassure me, but only made me more stressed out about the whole situation. I sighed.

"It depends on how badly I get punished. I don't even remember what they've caught me for this time! It could've been for that bathroom incident. Oh, or maybe it was the desk-on-fire issue. Either way, they may could ban me from either." I sighed again, thinking back to everything I could've done that would've ended me up in this position.

Then, just to top it all off, Potter came strutting down the hall, saying high to all his friends along the way. He saw me and grinned.

"Well, my pretty pink princess, why're you here?" He sat next to me and wrapped his arm around me. I shoved him off and glared at him.

"Go find a pot to piss in," I snapped, turning away from him. Katie, embarrassed, muttered her apologies about my situation and left before the next class started.

"Feisty, this one," he exclaimed teasingly. Sometimes, I wished he would just give up.

Then the door to the headmaster's office creaked open and we were ushered in.

"Let's start with you first, Pink, shall we?" McGonagall sighed, sitting down tiredly at her headmaster's desk. She then looked at me like she was deep in thought. "Wi-Fi? Wot n technologation is that?"

Shoot. I completely forgot about the Wi-Fi incident. About a few months ago, I installed Wi-Fi around the entire campus. It took me a few nights to manage and even then I had to get a few of my friends to help me. Since the administration didn't have anything that used Wi-Fi, I didn't think they would ever find it. I hid the actual routers pretty well and the word wasn't spread around about it too much.

"It's like Internet access. The muggle-borns know what it is. It helps you keep up with news and social media and to look things up instantly," I reasoned, trying to explain it the best I could.

"Sounds like the Dark Arts. For that, you're kicked off the Qudditch team and you have a month of cleaning duty. On top of that, you have to go and take all those-those things down. Hufflepuff will lose all of their points for this offense. Now go. Find Filch and start your cleaning and taking down those Dark Arts devices," McGonagall said, flipping her hand at me. I stood in shock.

Potter was laughing his head off, rolling around in his seat and shaking uncontrollably. I glared at him.

"Madam, it's not Dark Arts devices! It's just a muggle thing that helps us complete day-to-day tasks and stuff! Tell him James!" I pleaded with him.

"No, madam, it definitely is evil. Dark Arts, truly," he said, sounding "grim" when he finally managed to stop laughing long enough to get words out.

"What?! No, he's lying - seriously James? Why?" I said angrily.

"You're dismissed now," she cut me off. She clearly wanted me to leave. I stormed out the door and heard McGonagall turn to Potter.

"Now, what is so funny about the word 'what'? And why do you say it like it starts with 'v'? Do you need extra language classes? Patel said it was racism towards the Indian culture! Is Potter not teaching you right?" Her voice trailed off as I walked further down the hall.

I was pissed. Potter completely ruined me. Hufflepuff was going to kill me when they got word of how badly I just messed up.

I found Filch and started on my duties, cursing Potter's name the entire name. I saw some people look at me while they walked by like I was crazy. On top of that, we would probably lose the Qudditch match tomorrow because I had been kicked off the bloody team.

Filch released me after dark and I walked back to the Hufflepuff dormitory, not wanting to face their rage. We had had the most points out of all the Houses and the year was almost over. There was no way we would manage to get more in that little amount of time.

Potter was waiting outside the dorm door. He looked half asleep and jolted up when he saw me. I glared at him and ignored him.

"Come on, Pink. I really am sorry, but I couldn't resist. It was just so funny!" he half smiled, trying to get me to see his logic. I spun around, reeling. I had thought long and hard all day what I would say if he tried to apologize.

"This school just lost Wi-Fi and Hufflepuff lost their Keeper and all of their points! How could you do that to me?" I asked. I really wanted to know what kind of person could do that to me.

"I'm sorry! I didn't know she would actually do that; I truly didn't!" He exclaimed, raising his hands in surrender.

"Then why didn't you say something?! Why did you let me get punished like that?!" I was practically screaming and the empty hallways around us echoed. Potter fell silent. "That's what I thought."

I stormed into Hufflepuff's dorm. I saw the Head of the house waiting for me.

"Is it true?" Those three words alone scared me.

"Yes." It was the only word I could manage to get out. I heard him take a deep breath in and ducked my head.

"You just screwed us all over. We're going to lose the game against Gryffindor and we lost all our points. Now. What. Did. You. Do," he said, deathly calm. It scared me more than shouting would've.

"I gave the entire school Wi-Fi and McGonagall thought it was Dark Arts devices. She's making me take it all down and I've got cleaning duty for a month," I answered quietly.

"What? Why didn't you explain to her that it wasn't?" The entire mood of the room changed.

"Potter was there. He said they were Dark Arts devices and that apparently convinced her," I muttered. I wanted to cry.

"Where is he? I'm gonna beat that kid's head in, I swear," he growled. I excused myself and retreated upstirs, grateful that everyone was asleep and I had the chance to explain myself to the head of the house.

The next morning, Potter was waiting for me. He was hiding so the other Hufflepuff didn't see him. The word had no doubt gotten out that it was his fault Hufflepuff was doomed.

"What do you what? Haven't you done enough?" I snapped, walking to the great hall for breakfast. Luckily, I didn't have to work on my cleaning duties in the morning, only after class.

"How many times do I have to say I'm sorry?" Potter pleaded. I whipped around and glared at him.

"Until I get my spot as Keeper back and all the points you cost us," I snapped. "Until then, no amount of sorry will ever matter."

I turned back around and stormed off. I wished more of the Hufflepuff had seen me blow up on Potter so they knew I wasn't pleased with him in the least, but they had all gone to the great hall already. I made my way there and ate a quick breakfast.

After classes, I had to meet up with Filch again to find all the routers. The thing was, I couldn't even remember where I put most of them. Filch didn't even bother to lift a finger yesterday to help and I was pretty sure he wasn't going to offer help again today.

When I got to the hallway where I was supposed to meet Filch, Potter was there as well. I bristled and clenched my hands into fists. If that little rat had done anything to extend or make my punishment, I was gladly going to murder him. I didn't even care what punishment I would get at this point. I had gotten almost all of it already.

"Here, I've got a note to prove it," Potter was saying. Filch grumbled, looked at it and then sighed.

"Fine, whatever. Just make sure to be back in your dorms by curfew," he said before walking away. Potter grinned at me.

"I explained everything to McGonagall and she agreed to revoke every bit of your punishment. She even rescheduled the game so you can play tomorrow in the finals," Potter said. He was beaming.

"Oh. Thanks!" I said. I was so happy. I didn't have to clean up anymore and I didn't take down all the routers so we would still have a bit of Wi-Fi, even if it was iffy. "But it was your fault in the first place so don't think you're off the hook."

"Oh yeah, of course," he said, looking down. "But you're free from your duties."

"Why'd you do it?" I asked.

"Because..." He took a deep breath. "I like you just a bit, I guess."

I smiled. "You're so immature, Potter." After a moment, I continued. "But you're okay. You're a nice guy sometimes."

Potter looked up and smiled. He walked down the hall towards me and handed me the note McGonagall had written. "You're officially free," he said.

I looked at him through his dark hair. He grinned down at me. He was actually pretty cute if you thought about it.

"I've liked you since day one, you know that" he said. I could feel his hot breath on my neck as he slowly leaned down to catch my lips with his own.
