《Fake Dating the Bad Boy》Chapter 18 - Not the Ticket Girl Again

My breath hitched as I stared at Coles mischievous smirk. He was so... bad. I love bad boys.
I tensed slightly as Cole leaned in even closer, our lips a few millimetres away.
I suddenly felt butterflies in my stomach and my chest tightened as my eyes quickly darted from Coles lips to his eyes, his engaging eyes which now looked more green than blue.
Before I knew it, Coles lips were soft against mine. I felt a buzz of excitement inside of me as our lips moved slowly in sync with each other. Even though Coles lips were against mine, I just knew that he was smirking. A quick breath left my mouth as Cole pulled away slightly before he leaned back in and pressed his warm lips against mine, with more force this time. I smiled as Cole left his lips on mine for a few seconds before he pulled away.
I quickly looked down at the floor as I grinned, I didn't want Cole to know how happy I was, it would only make his ego bigger. I've never had such a buzz whilst kissing someone, not even Aaron.
Cole is a way better kisser than Aaron.
'Well.' Cole said clearly, his voice husky.
'You're a such a shit kisser.' I lied, as I looked back up at Coles face, who was now smiling, something I didn't see him doing very often.
'You and I both know that's a lie.' He smirked as he bent down and tied up his ice skate laces.
I smiled to myself as I stared at Cole who was looking down at his skates. How can someone be so hot?
His hair was in messy curly quiff, making it seem like he had just woke up without doing his hair. But, I know for a fact he definitely did his hair, he took 15 minutes to get it just right, the time was worth it though, it gave him the whole bad boy look. He was wearing his tight, light grey joggers, which if I haven't mentioned before, tight joggers on boys are a turn on for me. He was wearing the dark grey adidas jumper that he let me wear a few days ago, with a black Superdry coat over the top of it. The coat suited him perfectly, he looked so buff in it.
'You ready, Valentine?' Cole asked as he jumped up off the bench, thankfully not hearing what I said.
'Valentine? Are you being serious?' I frowned as I also jumped up to stand next to him.
'What?' Cole smirked as he grabbed my hand, making me coo inside, Cole has never grabbed my hand. Yes, this simple move has made me think Cole is cute. I guess I am 'so easy' to please.

'Just call me Liv, for Gods sake.' I sniggered slightly as we waddled towards the ice skating rink gate.
'Fine. Fine. I just wanted to call you something that no one else calls you.' Cole dramatically scoffed.
'You call me princess most times, you dickhead.' I laughed.
'Yeah but only because you're my fake girlfriend, don't call me a dickhead you mongo.' He stated clearly, although I couldn't tell if he was joking or not.
'Well, yeah.. I.. I know that, just call me Liv when we're on our own then, like you've been doing.' I stuttered as we finally got to the gate.
'Right, Liv. Let's go.' Cole smirked his usual smirk as he opened the gate and held onto it tightly as he stomped onto the ice, wobbling slightly as he did so.
I laughed slightly as Cole stumbled before he quickly held on to the side of the rink, balancing him up.
'Yeah, laugh it up, you won't be laughing when you get on here and fall.' Cole called over to me.
'Fine!' I called back as I took a few steps on to the ice as I grinned.
I quickly started to skate towards Cole, getting faster with each stride.
'Easy.' I grinned as I stopped myself once I got to Cole.
'Show off.' Cole scoffed.
'Aww, Coles mad because Liv can skate and he can't.' I pouted dramatically, in a weird voice, as if I was talking to a baby.
'I didn't exactly want to come ice skating.' He groaned as he rolled his eyes.
'Well, what do you want to do?' I asked a raised an eyebrow.
'I want to go eat pizza.' He replied bluntly as he held onto the edge of the rink.
'Well then we can go and eat pizza, after we've ice skated for a bit.' I fake grinned.
'How long do we have to ice skate?' Cole groaned as he frowned.
'Well,' I started as I looked around the rink, 'because I'm feeling generous, let's do two laps, then we can get pizza.' I smiled as I folded my arms.
Cole groaned even louder before he gave me an evil look, 'Fine.'
'Do you mind getting off the ice?' A familiar girl voice asked from behind me.
I quickly turned around to face the ticket girl bitch who was glaring at me with her arms crossed across her chest.
'Why?' I asked as I frowned.
'Because you're blocking people's way to skate and if you're not skating, then get off the ice.' She snarled as she looked me up and down.
I quickly looked her up and down as I gave her a dirty look, two can play this game. She was still in the same big yellow jacket, she just had her ice skates on now.

'Actually,' Cole started as he run his hand through his hair and grinned slightly, 'we were just about to skate.'
The girl smiled widely at him before she stuttered, 'Yeah.. okay, that's.. fine.'
'Great.' Cole smirked at he girl, keeping one hand on the ice rink balancing him up.
I frowned at him as I raised an eyebrow before I looked back at the girl, who was just stood there staring at Cole making flirtatious faces at him.
'You can go now.' I said bluntly as I waved my hand slightly.
'I can help you skate if you're struggling.' She smiled at Cole as she skated two strides towards him, completely ignoring me.
My mouth dropped slightly, making an 'O' shape, as I watched her grab Coles hand in hers whilst she rested her other hand on his shoulder.
Cole smirked at the girl before he frowned slightly, 'Nah, seriously it's fine-'
'It's really not hard, you'll get the hang of it.' She grinned at him as she battered her eyelashes.
I scoffed as I watched her, completely speechless.
What gives her the right to hit on my 'boyfriend'?! I even told her he was my boyfriend!!
'Did you not hear what I said?!' I cried as I skated closer towards Cole.
'What?' She scowled as she folded her arms.
'You can go now, bye, you're clearly not wanted here.' I yelled as I grabbed onto Coles shoulder as I could tell he was struggling to balance himself up.
'You can't speak to me like that, ' The girl started as she scoffed, 'and he clearly needs me here to help him skate.' She fake smiled sweetly as she grabbed Coles other arm.
I opened my mouth slightly before I laughed, 'You're a right little slapper.'
'Excuse me?!' The girl cried.
'You can't get your own boyfriend so you have to steal other people's boyfriends, that's just pathetic.' I snickered as I pulled Cole towards me, making her loose go of his arm.
'Well-'
'And the fact that you're trying to steal my boyfriend right in front of me.. well, that's just sad.' I laughed, cutting her off.
'Get off the ice, and get out of here now!' She yelled as she pointed towards the exit.
I laughed slightly at Cole, who grinned at me. Usually I wouldn't take orders from a teenager, who was a bitch, and only the ticket girl, and the same age as me, but there was no way I was staying here.
'Trust me girly, we were just about to.' I smiled at her as I held on to Coles hand tightly before I skated towards the exit, pulling Cole along me.
'Bitch!' I heard her call from behind me.
'Love you too!' I called back.
'Shit ma shit ah, Liv, Liv Liv Liv, .' Cole rambled on quickly, as he lost his footing and stomped on the ice, almost falling.
I laughed loudly as I grabbed onto him tightly and helped him regain his balance.
'You're actually quite scary.' Cole smirked as we got off the ice and walked towards the lockers.
'What?' I smiled slightly.
'All I'm saying is that, right now, I wouldn't like to be her.' Cole laughed as he grabbed mine and his shoes.
'I guess you could say I'm quite scary when people annoy me.' I grinned.
__________
'Mmm.' I smiled as I took a bite of my margarita pizza.
'How did you find this place?' I asked Cole as I eyed the small pizza pallor.
'I don't know, my babysitter used to take me here when I was little.' Cole replied as he sat down into the leather seat opposite me, in our small booth.
'Didn't you see your mum and dad when you were younger either?' I asked as I took another bite.
Cole frowned slightly.
My eyes widened as I realised what I had asked, 'Oh my God, sorry, I didn't mean to be nosey or anything, I didn't mean-'
Cole laughed slightly as he looked down at his large pizza slice, 'Nah, its fine. I guess I've never really had the chance to become close with them with their work and that.' He frowned.
'Yeah..' I replied, not knowing how to comfort him.
Cole took a small bite out of his pizza before he put the pizza down and looked me in the eye.
'Liv?' He asked.
'Yeah?' I raised an eyebrow.
'What's your biggest regret?' He frowned, seriousness taking over his face.
'What?' I laughed.
'What do you regret the most in your life time?' He asked again.
'I don't know,' I laughed, 'I don't really have any regrets.'
'Well that doesn't make me feel any better.' Cole rolled his eyes.
'What's that supposed to mean?' I frowned, 'What do you regret?'
'A lot.' Cole replied bluntly as he pushed the pizza away from him before he rested his arms on the table.
'There are no regrets in life, just lessons learnt.' I smiled.
Cole raised his eyebrow slightly.
'My life quote.' I stated.
Cole raised his eyebrow even higher without saying anything.
'Okay, fine, I got it off facebook. It's a good quote though.'

In his new reality, he will meet both friends and foe, he will seek knowledge, he will build power, and perhaps he will even find love again? Follow Alan through his adventures, and find out for yourselves how he deals with the challenges thrown at him by a new world, while struggling with the issues brought with him from his old one. * Author’s note: A fair warning. This is the first time I’ve published anything, and basically the first time I’ve written anything more than mandatory school-stuff. The story will probably have inconsistencies, grammatical errors (not my native tongue, though that excuse is getting old), and potentially confusing (missing?) plot. I will naturally do my best to write something worth reading, but my main goal in writing this story is to have fun and explore the limits of my own creativity. My hope in publishing it here, is that I’ll reach someone who enjoy the story, and can push me forward towards writing more, as it is difficult at times to find the motivation to write just for myself. Additionally, I can’t really promise to have regular updates, as I have a full-time job that often likes to take the ‘full-time’ part literally, and a sporadic social life that occasionally surprises me (happy surprises mostly, so I shouldn’t complain). I’ll aim for once a week to start with, and take it from there. Happy reading! Cover photo by Jeff Hire (/photographer/gun4hire-58415), from https://freeimages.com/.

After the End: Serenity
We all want to believe we are heroes of our own story - unless we want to be the villain, of course. At the end of everything, the Final Reaper decided he hadn’t been a hero. Driven by a desire to right the wrongs he was subjected to, he killed everyone who wronged him or his people - which turned out to be everyone that wasn’t killed by someone else first. He'd won - but it was a hollow victory. Eventually, Order’s Voice found a way out. If the only existing being would agree to give up most of his power, the Voice could reset the multiverse to an earlier time with a few minor changes. Of course, the Voice couldn't ask it that way. It could only ask if the Final Reaper was willing to start over from when Earth was first brought into Order. It was an easy decision, and yet it wasn’t. Was he willing to go through eons of pain again to not be alone? Yes. In a heartbeat. Not that his heart beat anymore. Now it would. Perhaps he could even be a hero, this time. When he landed in his old body - more or less - on Earth, the Final Reaper once again became Thomas. He was both and neither. He needed a new name for a new life. Serenity. ------------------------------------------ While this is technically a System Apocalypse story, it's a System Apocalypse that is designed to have a large percentage of the population survive and prosper. There are a lot of problems that come with the appearance of the Voice, and it's entirely possible to lose. Earth has some special opportunities, but also special challenges. The first time around, Earth won the first round and lost the second. Serenity has ten years from when the Voice arrives to prevent that from happening. It will be a group effort; Serenity can't win alone - which is difficult for someone who's been alone for as long as he has. Of course, that's only his second priority. ------------------------------------------- Updates Daily A note on the nonhuman lead tag: He isn't human, and hasn't been human for a very, very long time (or maybe not long at all, depending on how you count it). He still thinks of himself as human, either way. The content warnings are mostly to give me room to write; this fiction is not intended to be edgy, but once in a while a character will swear or someone will get seriously injured. The cover image is a Chandra/Hubble composite image of VV 340 / Arp 302 / UGC 9618. While we're not going to space itself any time soon in the story, people from elsewhere are coming to Earth and Serenity will visit other planets. Plus, I like space imagery.
