《All For You》The Rules

Abby's POV

I stood with my back against Stu's chest at the front door, his long arms draped around my shoulders. About half of the partiers decided to leave early because of curfew. I hadn't seen Tatum since she went out to the garage for more beers. I could only assume the worst had already happened.

Sidney came wandering into the front hallway, looking all around, "Tatum come on!" She yelled up the stairs.

A feminine voice responded, "There's nobody here but us chickens!"

Sidney turned to us and asked, "Do you know where she is?"

"No I haven't seen her." I looked up at Stu, craning my neck, as he replied to Sidney's question. He looked down at me and smiled.

"AAHH!" Suddenly, Billy jumped in front of the door. I slightly jumped in surprise, and Stu moved me to stand on his right side, further away from where Billy was standing. Stu hugged me close to his side and kept a strong grip on my waist. Billy turned to Stu and I, wiggling his eyebrows up and down.

Sidney gasped, "Oh. Billy. Hey." She seemed surprised, but also relieved that Billy showed up.

"Billy, hmmm. What are you doin here?" Stu asked sarcastically, tapping his pointer finger on his chin.

"I was hoping I could talk to Sid alone." Billy responded, nonchalantly.

"You know, if Tatum sees you here she'll draw blood." Sidney told Billy.

"I'll tell you what, why don't you guys go up to my parents' room? You know, you guys can talk," Stu said, briefly removing his hand from my waist to punch his fist into his open palm, "whatever."

"Subtlety Stu. You should look it up." Billy said.

I rolled my eyes, "Sid, you should just stay down here with us. I think Randy just started Halloween."

"No, it's okay. Billy and I do need to talk." Sidney replied, looking between Billy and I. Sidney took his hand, leading him up the stairs. Billy punched Stu in the gut.

"Oww." Stu said under his breath.

Randy came walking into the hallway where Stu and I were now standing. He looked up towards Sidney and Billy, who were making their way up the stairs, in disgust.

Randy walked up to Stu's left, "What's leather face doin here?" He asked Stu, annoyed.

"He came to make up." Stu replied.

"There goes my chance with Sid. Damn it." Randy said.

"Psh, as if." I said.

"Yeah, as if. That's all I'm sayin." Stu continued, as he closed the front door.

"Oh, really, Alicia?" Stu put his arm around my waist again and we walked back into the living room where Randy had started Halloween.

"'As if.' I'm gonna go check on them." I could hear Randy say.

Stu's POV

"Whoa!!" Everyone in the room screamed as a jump scare popped up on the TV screen. There were twelve of us left; Tatum still had not returned, I knew that she was dead. Billy and Sidney were still upstairs.

"Wait. Here comes another." Randy said, being the all-knowing horror movie geek that he is.

We all waited a few more seconds for more blood and gore to show up on the screen.

"Ohhh. Oohhh." We all grimaced.

"How can you watch this shit over and over?" A kid in a tan colored shirt asked Randy.

"Shh!" Randy shushed him.

"I wanna see breasts. I wanna see Jamie Lee's breasts! When do we see Jamie Lee's breasts?" I asked.

Abby was sitting in front of me, and she turned to look me in the eyes. "Why don't you just break up with me and go date Jamie Lee? Huh? If you like her breasts so much!" She said, laughing, half-serious.

"Because yours are better." I kissed her cheek. She laughed and pushed me off of her.

"If you say so, lover boy." She said. She looked at me again and kissed me. Her lips are so soft and perfect against mine. This is what heaven feels like.

We were interrupted by Randy, "Breasts? Not until Trading Places in '83. Jamie Lee was always the virgin in horror movies. She never showed her tits, 'til she went legits."

Randy continued, "That's why she always outsmarted the killer in the big chase scene at the end. Only virgins can do that. Don't you know the rules?"

"What rules?" I asked him.

"You don—" Randy picked up the TV remote and paused the movie. "Jesus Christ. You don't know the rules?"

"Have an aneurysm, why don't ya?" I said to Abby, she giggled.

Randy got off the couch and walked in front of the TV, "There are certain rules one must abide by in order to successfully survive a horror movie. For instance, number one: you can never have sex."

Everyone in the room instantly booed and two boys threw popcorn at Randy, "Big no no! Big no no!" Randy said, swatting at the flying popcorn.

"I'd be a dead man." I said to Abby, sticking out my tongue and licking up the side of her neck. She laughed again. Her smile and her laughter were so contagious; I love making her laugh.

"Sex equals death. Okay?" Randy continued on with his rules, "Number two: you can never drink or do drugs."

Everyone in the room cheered, clinking their beer bottles together and taking big chugs of their alcoholic drinks.

"It's the sin factor. It's a sin. It's an extension of number one. And number three: never, ever, ever under any circumstances, say 'I'll be right back.' Cause you won't be back."

I got up off the couch, and turned towards Randy at the front of the room, "I'm getting another beer, you want one?"

"Yeah, sure." Randy replied.

"I'LL BE RIGHT BACK!" I said purposely breaking one of Randy's rules, putting my arms out in front of me like a zombie.

"Ohhhh!" The whole room shouted, as I walked through the kitchen.

I turned the corner and went upstairs to my room. I wandered into a small closet that was connected to my bathroom. This was where Billy put a spare costume in case we needed it tonight. I also kept a knife in here.

Billy had already killed Tatum, or at least I think he did. That eyebrow signal at the front door was a little too suspicious for it to not mean something.

I switched on the light and grabbed the knife and costume. Turning off the light and shutting the closet door, I was met with a familiar pair of eyes.

"Hey." She said.

"Oh hey."

"Where's Tatum."

"I think she's dead."

She sniffled, and looked down, "I thought so.. Do you know what he did to her?"

"Not at the moment, no. But I'll find out, okay?"

She was still looking down at the knife and black costume I had in my hands, "What's next in the plan?" She asked.

"Well, as far as I know, Sidney just lost her virginity to Billy and it's my turn to go and kill Billy. Well, pretend to kill him. And then I go after Sidney.."

"And kill her? For real?"

"Yeah..."

"Is there anyway that I could get you out of this?"

I put the costume and knife on my dresser right next to me, and put my hands on her perfect cheeks, "No. I have to do this or Billy will kill you. I can't have that happen, Abigail. You're the only person in my life that's ever shown me love. I can't let you go."

I kissed her deeply. She wrapped her hands around my neck, and I put my hands on her hips. I wanted to stay in this moment forever, but I couldn't.

I broke away, "I have to go. Please keep yourself safe."

"I will." She said, and I prayed that this wouldn't be the last time I would hear her sweet voice.

"I love you."

"I love you too."
